October Crypt

Location: the Alucard Institute @Nallore

October grinned, extinguishing the balls of flames in her hands. While the school was run by a sadistic psychopath with suspicious motives, that didn't change her excitement for the courses offered. She had decided to attend the Alucard Institute, in part, because of its unique subject matters and its treatment of those with abilities. It was a shame that she wouldn't be able to fully enjoy everything it had to offer. "Blood," October answered nonchalantly.

"We may not be normals, but we still bleed every month. One of us will tell him it's that time of the month - we might even both be able to go, if we can convince him we synchronized already."

If there was one thing that October knew for a fact made men uncomfortable, regardless of whether or not they were normals, it was female biology. She gave Carolina a reassuring smile as she asked how she felt. "I don't mind pain - it's rather nice. But do I feel as exhilarated as Joan of Arc? Not quite." She turned around in the hallway, waiting for Carolina to leave the room as well, before they headed to the classroom for their lesson. It was on the third floor of the Alucard Institute - which happened to be where their room was as well.

"C'mon. The early maggot gets the corpse."

Guinevere Stark

Location: Brotherhood Headquarters - First Sublevel - New York, New York
{"They told me I couldn't so I did."}

As her father continued his rant, something changed. As if she was a character in the Matrix or a Divergent novel, Guin realized that her surroundings were not necessarily real. "Shut up, I need to think," Guin said, cutting Tony off. She sniffled a bit, trying to get up and have a better look around, but she couldn't see much beyond the visitation room, the other prisoners, and the guards. "You...You said I let granddad down. But you haven't even told me what crime I was supposed to have committed." She grinned widely, sniffling a bit, but she was rapidly calming down.

"If you need me to spell it out for you, maybe you need a little jail time," Tony replied. "You know not to drop the soap, right? Right? C'mon, someone has to have told you that much."

Guin shook her head. "You don't know what I did, because this isn't real," Guin said proudly. "Last I remember, I was risking my life to save the world from the Brotherhood of Mutants...And now I'm here, getting chewed out by my dad in a living nightmare. To get from point A to B, something had to happen."

Tony snorted, shaking his head. "Unbelievable. You know, I bet you get this from your mother's side of the family. It better be genetic - I don't want your crazy germ or whatever type of contagion it is... Cap would never forgive me if I made his mind go south."

"No," Guin said firmly, despite the fact that she was still shaking. "This is Scarlet motherfucking Witch's work. She's still loyal to her father and likely blames me for Pietro leaving the Brotherhood - but I know that isn't why he left and since you're not real, it doesn't matter what you think. If I were her, I'd get me down for the count and then make damn well sure I was one of the first humans to go..."

Guin's eyes widened. "Shit," she muttered. She looked at the plexiglass, ignoring what "Tony" was saying. He was off on another rant when she got an idea - maybe the rules of mutant induced hallucinations worked just like the rules in dreams? Glancing forward at the glass, Guin took a deep breath -

And then proceeded to head butt it.

"My god. You've really lost it. Are you going for the insane defense? Because if so, you're doing a great job," Tony commented, looking at the neat gash on Guin's forward. She pressed her hand against the wound in an effort to stop the blood flow. The pain felt real - maybe this was real, after all? She doubted her own assertions for a moment, before shaking her head - and instantly regretting it as the pain increased abruptly.

"This can't be real...Okay, Guin, we're going to think...Maybe you think your way out of these? Or...You know what, I'm going to take a knee...This pain...It's really authentic...You've outdone yourself, Wanda..." Guin then collapsed onto the ground, with a disappointed and concerned Tony looking down at her.

"You know someone has to clean up all that blood, right?"

Lizzie Roswell

Location: Brotherhood Headquarters - First Floor Hallway - New York, New York
{"All villains think of themselves as heroes. And all heroes? Well, they're no different than the villains."}
Active Illusions:
- Pietro - All individuals except for Richard have vanished.

So much for a nice and calm exchange of information. And as Pietro ran through the bars, Lizzie ceased projecting that illusion. Almost simultaneously, the nose bleed stopped. She did, however, maintain her concentration on the illusion for Pietro. While she couldn't make Richard vanish from his sight as well, none of the others seemed particularly inclined to inform Pietro where they were. At any minute, he may accidentally run into one of them and cripple them. Out of the corner of her eye, she watched to ensure that Richard was fine. Seeing him get up to charge the speedster, she felt confident it was the case.

They were outnumbered, but that didn't bother Lizzie too much. Even as the other shifter turned into a wolf and leapt towards her, she radiated calm. She was in control, as far as she was concerned. She moved to sidestep the wolf's attack at the last second. But luck was not on her side. Instead, she was knocked down to the ground, with the wolf on top of her. Lizzie was pinned to the ground, but she let out a laugh.

"You're so screwed~"

It was only a matter of time before the shifter learned why Lizzie was called Wonderland.

Virginia Crypt

Location: Russian Imperial Circus Tent City (Regent's Park)

Virginia was touched that Elizaveta offered protection for James. In her experience, it was an unusual person who offered shelter to a stranger. The members of London society were far more likely to turn someone away than to render them aid. Her earlier encounter with the Talinks was an example of London's lack of selflessness. And while some may have been unnerved at the protection of the circus after the projectile guillotine beheading that happened moments before, the Grand Duchess of Russia was kept safe on these grounds. James would be safe as well.

"Thank you - I hope that I can repay you one day for this kindness," Virginia said earnestly. "The Crypt Family is in your debt."

James giggled bashfully at Elizaveta's compliment of him. He figured that with such a great response, he must have done it properly. He was thrilled - and proud. And a little bit hungry. He felt a spiritual kinship with the Deadly Cat as it wolfed down a piece of meat. "Pah...ty...chky?" James tried to say. The words felt a little bit funny on the tongue, but he only knew English. Any other language would feel a little bit odd for him to say.

"Thanks!" James then added as Adam offered him one. Before he started nibbling on it, his eyes locked with Elizaveta's and he froze. He didn't know exactly what was going on, but she seemed to have gone into some sort of trance. Figuring that it would probably be bad to break it, James held his breath and kept his eyes open, refusing to blink, until Elizaveta muttered something in the strange language.

"What's that mean?" James asked, filled with curiosity. He wanted to know what she had said - and also, what the trance had done.

"I would not mind at all," Virginia said. She had a good feeling about James and Adam. James didn't often get to play with children his own age. At either rate, Adam would certainly be able to handle James' near endless energy better than poor Alfred could. Her interest was piqued when Elizaveta mentioned the connection to the Carpthanian mountains that the circus had.

"I would be very interested in any information you have," Virginia replied. She found it curious how many connections her family appeared to have to the Russian Circus. Perhaps as the rider mentioned, her family had once been rather close to either the circus or the Russian Royal Family. She was intrigued, to say the least.

In the midst of their conversation, Virginia heard the now slightly familiar burst of compliments from the Great Bazhooli. He seemed to be as skilled in flattery as he was in blades, as he used one to tip his hat and then continued to twirl the knives as he spoke. Virginia had hardly even considered the matters of the ton, being so focused on her brother and his safety, as well as the message from her father. Yet she was glad that he asked, as it reminded her of another matter of importance and announced another promotion for Mary. She beamed hearing Mary's title of Dame Commander. In her opinion, the ton tended to understate Mary's talents and position - hearing Mary be recognized lifted Virginia's spirits.

"You have my congratulations on the promotion, Dame Commander," Virginia said, before providing her own title. "The Lady Virginia Margaret Crypt, Mistress of Wenwynith and Adviser to the Interim Arch Graveolase...I must apologize, Great Bazhooli, as I have just recalled an unfortunate circumstance I must alert you, as well as others, to...The Talink family may very well intend to cause harm to James or myself. If they come, please do allow me to wield my axe and nullify the threat."

She did not wish to ask for the Circus to handle with dealing a fatal blow to the Talinks. It had been her error that created this business dispute and she wished to set the matter to rest personally. Though as she reflected on the manner in which Thalken had stared at her the previous evening, it seemed likely that the Talinks had already made plans to kill either her or her brother.

"James, little devil, please play with Myska and the other boy," Virginia instructed him, kneeling down to James' level. She hardly cared if the fabric of her dress brushed up against the ground. There was a grave seriousness on Virginia's face, enough to stop James' squirming for a moment. "Do you remember the gaunt girl from earlier? She was a Talink. If you see her or any other Talink, you must run and hide in the tent city...If that is not an option, remember your lessons in the foil with Alfred and kill them." She smoothed James' hair and smiled at him fondly, before rising back to her full height. She was not certain if James would be able to take on a Talink in combat. In fact, she found it rather unlikely.

"Of course. Privacy in these matters would be welcomed, should there be a place available to us," Virginia said to Mary. She did not wish to impose on the Circus or give them any reason to dislike her. If what Virginia's musings were correct, perhaps this is where the Cossack Crypts originated from - the Russian Circus.

James was beaming at the other boy, having tasted the Patychky. He wasn't exactly sure what type of meat it was, but he truthfully didn't care. As he swallowed his latest mouthful, James extended a hand to Adam, a little bit of meat juice running down his chin. "M'names James. What's yours?" James asked, having abandoned the pomp and ceremony he used with Elizaveta. While Elizaveta was a beautiful princess of the night, Adam seemed to him to be an equal.

"How fast do you think the Deadly Cat can run?" James then asked with a wicked grin.

Cecily Ashworth

Location: La Hacienda - Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico

Cecily stayed quiet for a few moments, nodding as an indication that she was thinking over everything Natasha had said. She had paranoid tendencies that only had been reaffirmed over the past few weeks. In combination with her pessimistic outlook on the world, she hadn't stopped to consider the fact that maybe it all was just her being in the wrong place at the wrong time. When Proserpine had shot at her in Wallace's office, Natasha was right. It could have been anyone that was in that day. Another forensic tech, a janitor, a cop coming to drop off evidence, even Wallace himself - it didn't have anything to do with her.

She then considered what had happened at Queensguard. It was easy to forget that Natasha really didn't know what had happened there. Cecily bit on her lip, reviewing what had happened. Once they had gotten the evidence from the autopsy, she had gone with Caesar to Queensguard in order to try to find more evidence. After they entered the facility, the security force had attempted to gun them down, only for a secret underground bunker to save them. Taking a deep breath, she realized that if she hadn't gone with Caesar, she wouldn't have been shot at.

But that wasn't Caesar's fault. It was her choice to go investigate Queensguard with him. She started pacing back and forth again, uncertain as to whether her life was in mortal peril or if the danger was all in her head. As for what she knew about Caesar...She didn't know much. She knew that Roy trusted him and told her to stick with him, that he'd keep her safe. He ran a security company and had a shady past. But she trusted Caesar because Roy trusted him and because he had saved her life.

"After we found what evidence we could from Alicia's autopsy, Caesar and I went to Queensguard to investigate," Cecily finally said. "When we were there and I had begun collecting water samples, there was a large hole cut in a grate. In the interest of getting more evidence, we went inside...Security spotted us and started firing. It's how I got shot. I...I was probably going to die, but we found a way out through the sewers. That's how it happened."

She let out a deep breath, feeling like a teenager confessing what happened after prom to a parent. "As for Caesar...My partner told me to stay by him. I don't know a lot about him. I'm sorry he interrogated you like that...I didn't know he did that. And...maybe he has researched me. I don't know." It was obvious that Cecily was torn and confused - if the danger wasn't real, then she should go with Natasha. Call up her parents and ask them kindly to help them get a flight out of Mexico. But if it wasn't all in her head, then going back to Justice wasn't the safest place for her.

The roller derby from the night before flashed into her mind. She had gone there with Caesar. He had kept her safe. But was she truly on the Big Bad's radar? Or was it her pessimistic, paranoid nature?

"I don't know what I should do."

Iris Kingston

Location: Justice Asylum

Iris' eyes widened with realization and then a bit of embarrassment. She psychoanalyzed people for a living and had slipped into that routine slightly. If Risa wasn't a translator specifically from the United Nations, she would have had Jaina sedated. There wasn't a guarantee that they'd be able to get another Russian translator in on such short notice or that Risa would even want to return once Jaina woke up - hopefully, with less flimsy restraints this time.

"1Desolée," Iris replied meekly.

Jaina hesitated for a moment, looking at Risa warily. Why didn't she want to play the game with her? Did she not know how to play - was that it? She supposed it could be embarrassing for an assassin to not know the knife throwing game, but Jaina wouldn't have held it against her. She would have been thrilled to teach her - though, Jaina was nearly always happy. It was a fundamental part of her psychosis. Jaina tilted her head, looking over Risa, until it dawned upon her.

Duh. She didn't have a knife! Those lousy guards must have confiscated it from her! "2Kak tol'ko my poluchim nozh, my budem igrat', khorosho?" Jaina then said eagerly. They could just go on a Target run and get a bunch of cutlery! Jaina couldn't help but wonder how the game would play with steak knives....or spoons! Maybe they could use bullets and practice their gun skills? There were so many ideas flooding through her head that she almost didn't listen to Risa.

"3Da, ya znayu yeye. Na samom dele ona byla ochen' khorosha v zhivopisi - vdokhnovlena," Jaina answered. She laid flat on her back, stretching out her legs one at a time. Her messy blonde curls were splayed out behind her, almost making a small golden circle.

@Witch Cat Day 5!

Beatrice Decker

Location: in a TANK

Despite Lola's exclamation, it didn't feel like a lot to Beatrice. It had just been another job - albeit one farther away from home than most she took. The price had been large enough for her to agree to it. Otherwise, she would've still been in California when the outbreak happened. She chuckled to herself for a moment, imagining how the "good" people of Justice reacted to the walker plague. They probably just shrugged and went about business as usual, wiping the brain matter of their deceased neighbors off of their cars.

She noted Gavin's abrupt change in demeanor. She half expected him to explain that he had sensed a great disturbance in the Force. For a moment, she considered pressing him about it. An upset cowboy wasn't as good a shot as a happy one. But at the same time, they were in a tank. They had decent odds of survival regardless of Gavin's emotional state. She glanced over at Lola, checking in on the other crazy. She was still happy-go-lucky, even as she was asking about the crimes Eden had committed.

"Depends on who you ask," Beatrice said bluntly. She was going to leave it at that but Lola deserved a better explanation. "James and Ryan - the guys who died back there - they knew more than I do. From what I've been told, the better question to ask is what haven't they done. They've been terrorizing Newnan for a while now, killing some of its members...It's as if Charles Manson busted his ass out of prison and founded a settlement." Was it the best explanation of Eden? No. She had never lost someone because of Eden - besides Ryan and James, as they had died on their way to attempt to attack the settlement.

"Ryan lived in Eden for a while. But he's dead and the only person he probably talked to about it was his girl."

    • You copied his birthday.
    • You copied his quote.
    • You copied his theme song.
    • In some parts of the CS, you're even using his color code
  • You are missing the Extras needed under anything else - please re-read the rules for what you need to include there
  • You have incorrect color coding for the personality traits, as well as two many. It should be 6 traits - three negative, three positive. The negative in red, the positive in green.
  • Please break up his personality section into two paragraphs - and throughout, he should technically be referred to as 12. He doesn't know his real name is Ronan and per what @BlueSky44 said in the OOC, you can switch to using their real name after they've learned what it is.
  • Fears need to be listed in bulleted format and you need 3.

Once you've fixed these, please resubmit and your CS will be evaluated again.
