Our guests have gone home and the kitchen was easy to clean. The house is spotless and the baby is sleeping. Life is good.

AI is awful and I hate it but forums have been slowing down a lot longer than that. I think it's because the forum generation has just grown up and gotten new priorities (jobs, families, etc).

Oh Poppy you adorable stuttering mess XD
It's pretty okay actually. With the way you set things up, interacting with Louise's group is going to be a blast~!

I honestly cannot wait. I picture Aila as an annoying little fly in Louise's eyes, hehehe
Well that reply ended up longer than intended XD Still getting into the groove with this character, I'll smoothen up eventually ^_^ And no problem, @Rika, I just wanted to make sure. Wouldn't want some premature friend jealousy happening oh yes I would thank you very much h e h
Michio nodded as his roommate spoke, taking a seat on his own bed. He remembered the stretch of time in which one of Tatsuya's mothers was working as a maid. Michio had just been starting to work in the front of his parents' shop at that point, where before then all his work had been behind the scenes, mostly counting inventory and running to check if things were in stock. "Ah yes, I remember you now, or your name anyway. She was always quick at making friends. And yes, Tatsuya and I have been dear friends for nearly as long as I can remember." A ghost of a grin crossed his face as he thought over some fond memories. "She might as well be a sister to me."

The thought of nicknames must have crossed his mind the same time it crossed Tsukino's; Tatsuya had started calling him Mi-kun almost immediately, and she'd been the only one to continually -kun, -chan or -san him since. He never gave nicknames himself either - perhaps a side effect of working retail for as long as you could reliably count.

But, pushing that somewhat embarrassing thought aside, Michio continued, wringing his hands together. "Yeah, funny how it all worked out. Small world I suppose, I can only imagine the sick satisfaction Tatsuya's getting right about now." Tsukino's next comment elicited a laugh, and a lightened smile. "Yes, enough about her. After all, at dinner we'll be lucky to get a word in edgewise. I feel for whatever poor girl got her as a roommate, it's a hell of a lot to get used to." Despite his lighthearted complaints, any chump could hear the fondness in his voice and know he didn't mean a word unkindly.

"But anyway, I'm technically here for classical violin and piano, and some composing and theory. But uh..." he looked to his computer, knowing that behind the swirling screen savers were countless incomplete scores that he spent too much time tweaking to progress, and numerous homemade techno tracks that were mixed to a point where they were little more than fleeting white noise with beats like hammer falls and bass lines you could swim in. "...I'd like to consider myself more of a new-age music person. I mean I can appreciate classical and all, but I'm not exactly cramming my phone with Mozart." He chuckled, more of a filler sound than anything. "Thank you for the compliment, by the way." He dipped his head curtly to the boy opposite.

He felt his phone buzz in is pocket and glanced at it, the message rolling across the screen. Dubbing it safe to leave unanswered, he quickly tucked it away, not wanting to seem rude right off the bat. "Anyway, what are you here for? You're clearly a returning student, and by the looks of that shelf I'd say it has something to do with literature. Or are you forever the elusive mystery, and I'm shooting in the dark?"
@Rika Quick question, when Tsukino says 'He knew her longer than anyone at the academy" is he referring to himself or Michio?
@Vena Sera Oh yeah, I see you in the interest check. Yeah I'm afraid that we filled up in your absence since the OOC went up. @Rika Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
Ladies and gentlemen, my worst opening post ever. Enjoy. XD
They came in the blink of an eye. One moment, relative calm in the cafeteria. The next, pep and chaos, wrapped in charismatic exteriors.

The St. Dymphna's Spirit Committee.

In they came, whooping and laughing and cheering, engaging every student they saw. They were clad in bright school t-shirts with paint smeared on their faces in the school colours. To newcomers, they'd recognize them as the upperclassmen who'd cheered at them and thrown streamers when the new grade came inside for the first day. Older classmates would likely see them as the irritatingly cheery welcoming pests, but they didn't care.

Their leader, Aila Duquesne. She skipped along, smiling, a thick ponytail of cornrows swaying with every step. Following her were about nine other students, all juniors and seniors, all trying just as hard to rally up the newbies. Aila hovered around for only a moment before climbing up onto a table, motioning for her partners to quiet down.

"Hello everyone your attention please!" She called, her voice somewhat louder than what would be expected, carrying clearly to every corner of the large room. She smiled. "Now, before someone takes me down from here, I'd just like to announce that we hope to see all you freshmen at the intro party tonight! Believe me, it's a party you'll want to be attending." A sly knowing glinted in her eye. "As for the rest of you, welcome back!"

Aila didn't have much time to say more, as a teacher came to get her off the table, grumbling something about "Respect of school property..." and "Advertising out-of-school events on the grounds." The rest of the Spirit Committee left the cafeteria in pursuit of any area they hadn't already hit. It was pretty important, after all, to get as many newbies to that party as possible. Better they find out about the school's 'eccentricity' there rather than finding out on their own and freaking to about it.

In any case, she saw a bit of a crowd around the end of a table and moved toward it, seeing a few familiar faces in the bunch. "Hey! You alright there?" she asked as the image of a dishevelled girl came into view. However, it looked like a few from the group already had it covered. Nudging the senior boy, she murmured, "Little risky doing that during the day, don't you think? Don't want to scare them off too soon..."
YOU ARE BEAUTIFULLY CORRECT @Rika not to mention I think Michio would really enjoy a flamboyantly gay man AHEM
Your ideas aren't stupid! They're awesome!

Yeah, Michio is the manager and the guy who runs the website. Basically, he handles everything that has to do with publicity, blah blah blah. Manager stuff. I figured the makeup guy would be his assistant, but other than that he probably doesn't need anyone. Although to be honest, I've imagined Michio seeking occasional help from Tsukino (you know, same room, similar disposition).

@Vena Sera Hey, I believe this RP is closed, unless you've been here the whole time and I'm just blind (which is a definite possibility)
Sort of.
I was thinking she wouldn't really bother with much of the backstage work. She would just work with the band members themselves, managing their appearances, making costumes, doing hair, makeup, not working with anything but things like those.

Sounds good to me. Are you nominating your character?
