As far as IC goes, we'll probably either start over completely or start from when they get to the city and I'll just have a representative of the Harp there with them.

Also, I'll be getting up the thread sometime today so ye. :D

I stay we start over, I believe we plopped them on a ship? Good place to get a few posts of intros out before they get thrown into plot. Helps get the hang of the character.

@Obscene SymphonyOmg I was going to mention Malachite from RWBY too! XD That all depends on how realistic we'll be going for tho.

Don't worry about the explanation on Amun's fighting style, I would have done the exact same thing had not I worried people wouldn't care about it enough. Hell, I'm almost tempted to the same thing xD

I will say that whatever style Zhou will use, it'll be like kung fu movies so flashy acrobatics and flips for everyone! :D
I'm also interested to see a battle between him and Amun, I have a feeling it'll be more of a very violent gymnastics competition rather than a dual xD

It wouldn't be sparring with those two, it would be a spectator sport.

Much like the RWBY tournament I suppose! We'll have to make sure to get the press in to document this badassery.

Mai's fighting style is more subtle and sneaky i would say, she wouldn't go directly to attack and would probably avoid physical violence at all costs, preferring to keep fight with words if you will

but she mostly uses bladed weapons (esp. those she can hide in her outfit) and relies more on agility and speed than power

not sure if there's a specific fighting "type" for this i mean she's got some training mostly from her uncle but idk man it's hard to do martial arts in stilettos and maxi dresses

As for Amun, his style (since there isn't much information on Egyptian style of close combat) is pretty heavily based on the Dornish from Game of Thrones. It's very acrobatic and flashy, with a lot of movement and using the environment to his advantage. He's mostly defensive; his strategy is to dance around his opponent, blocking and dodging until they get tired or frustrated, and more likely to make a mistake. For weapons, he frequents daggers and spears, and if available, likes to use a traditional khopesh (a sicle-inspired sword) which can be used as a single one-handed weapon or dual-wielded. What I like about it is that it's adaptable - he can use objects in his environment if he must. However, while it's quick, it's not much of a hard hitter; he relies on getting the best of his opponent to try and weaken them before he tries to attack.

I think about this type of thing more than I need to...

Another idea is to have it near the guard barracks so people can compete with guard NPCs for some self satisfaction. I'd assume that by rule of cool, most the princes and princesses would be better than normal guards should the player allow for it.

So, does anyone know the housing situation? Is it a dorm-type thing with wings for the men and women separately? Individual rooms? Are the couples forced to room together?

@WilsonTurner Hm, that's interesting. You'd have to do a lot to Amun to make him go for blood, and I actually can't think of anything that would make him go that far. (I welcome you guys to try it)

But, what about Niklas fighting in a friendly spar, with the aim of learning? I'd love to go sword to sword with him, if only because while your prince is heavier trained than mine, their fighting styles would differ so much that I think Amun would have a fighting chance.
