Hello out there! My name's Mason. I like a lot of random stuff like comics, Masters of the Universe, M*A*S*H, X-Files, conspiracy theories, as well as a good superhero themed role play! I'm more of a DC freak than a Marvel zombie but I did grow up on mutants and 3rd string heroes. Once in awhile I'll make a few micros in MSPaint for my RP's because I love designing heroes as much as I do writing/reading about them. I'm about to try and get another random themed game off the ground, if you're interested gimme a shout!

I've been RP'ing for awhile. I mostly RP to keep my writing skills up to par, and I generally RP between Casual and Advanced. I've been a member of the guild for quite a bit, pre Guildfall even. Ninety percent of the time you'll find me in some superhero themed RP or something based off of another fandom like MotU or Power Rangers. Currently in the process of developing my own comics!
Favorite DC heroes (I won't go into villains to save space) in no order: Aquaman, Hawkman, Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner), Superboy (the clone), Swamp Thing, Starman, Animal Man, the Ray (90's era), Impulse, Captain Atom, and Batman Beyond.
Favorite Marvel heroes list: Human Torch I & II, Capt. Mar-Vell, Black Bolt, the classic Destroyer, Havok, Multiple Man, classic Scarlet Spider, Spiderman 2099, Nova, and Colossus.
OTHER FAVORITES: Space Ghost, the Rocketeer, the Maxx, Shadowhawk, Green Hornet, Madman, Doctor Star/Andromeda, the Phantom, He-Man, and Zorro.
Only three posts since my last post... has anyone else dropped out of this? It had a strong start with something like 30 posts in no time at all and now it seems like we've hit a rut after losing Static. I know @Angel Vicky is dealing with some stuff in the real world, but nobody else has checked in for a bit.

Still a couple archetypes we could use... a Techno character, a Demi-God, etc. Based on the characters the tone of this will seemingly be in the middle between Batman v Superman and the Watchmen.... just with more powers. I'll leave recruiting open to a few more slots if the CS is of top quality.
I just didn't wanna go right into building a team unless enough of you guys wanted to. Even in the first Avengers film you had the Ironman vs Thor bit as well as Hulk losing it on the heli-carrier.
I've got to get just a couple more hours of sleep before waking up to do laundry before work. When I get up in a bit I'll start accepting completed character sheets and filling out the group roster. As others have stated there's still plenty of room and if we have more than enough people we'll make more room in the RP. The more accepted players and characters the less supporting superhuman characters we have to create as a group.
As far as connecting the universe in the beginning, we can go with a small scale alien invasion similar to the first Avengers film or we can have a large scale hero vs hero battle that wrecks a part of the city. So be thinking about which one of those you'd rather have going on in the background...
Is it actually limited to one of each Archetype? Or is it just like that until they get filled out a bit?
It's just like that until the universe gets a bit more fleshed out. I don't mind if half the group takes the wildcard slots and we only have three or four characters based on Marvel archetypes so long as there's something to build the rest of the universe off of. I'll take a closer look at character sheets after my kid is asleep for certain, at a glance I REALLY like @BlackSam3091's guy. Hope our guys can have a team up, or maybe a late night battle cause I can only assume as wild as Dark Wolf seems some heroes will try and take him off the board.
That's one of my struggles but I'm kind of just assuming archetypes could be better defined since it's a very open term and can be loosely applied. I mean TV Tropes is pretty good for Superhero Archetypes.
Archetypes are in place mostly to establish power sets and levels and keep any one archetype from being used too often within the game. I don't want three demi-gods with the powers of Thor, Superman, and Silver Surfer any more than I want a handful of ferals like Wolverine, Wildcat, and Beast. With my Feral Archetype I went a little more primal and as far as the man inside the wolf he'll be struggling with depression similar to Bruce Banner. We could just as well only have four archetypes based on anything in particular with three wildcards and then flesh out the universe with group created supporting super-humans/villains.
Archetype: Feral Man/Woman Name: Jacob 'JD' Donovan Alias: Dark Wolf Age: 29 Powers: Due to a curse in his bloodline some one hundred and thirty years ago, Dark Wolf is the latest humanoid werewolf with red fur to bare the burden with feral senses, claws, and enhanced physical attributes. In his wolf form JD stands roughly six feet three inches tall but tends to lean down and forward. Gains an additional seventy-five pounds of muscle, several pounds of hair, as well as a tail and has an accelerated healing factor but nothing like Wolverine or Deadpool. In civilian form he's only about five feet nine inches tall and one hundred and eighty pounds. Weaknesses: Silver. The wolf also isn't as powerful in the day as he is the night. Alignment: Walking the line, he could potentially maim or kill an enemy Personality: [Wolf] Impulsive, protective, wild [Human] Honest, depressed Appearance: His fur would be a deep shade of red or maroon. BRIEF Bio: Storylines: Hero vs Hero, something akin to Wolverine vs Hulk or Moon Knight vs Werewolf by Night Notes: I just wanted something a little more feral and supernatural with this hero.
