@The Kid Lantern You don't have to say it, you're implying it strongly enough. You just flat out ignore the multitude of times where I try to explain that he has no actual powers. Why should someone with no real powers outside of a space cop uniform and a blaster gun have more than one crippling weakness? You're basically asking someone to change Star-Lord to being weak to Kryptonite even though it's not necessary because he's just a dude in a spaceship and nothing more. But I've long since given up on this. You've made it absolutely clear that you have no intention of listening to logic, plus this suddenly becoming a generic "superhero team in generic Earth city" instead of the big, open-world universe the iCheck promised pretty much killed whatever interest I had. Good day, sir.

Instead of explaining it time and again on here, a simple edit to the CS in Weaknesses would've sufficed. Doesn't do anybody a damn bit of good if they have to go through pages of OOC chatter to find how one player described the weaknesses to their character.

@Double I didn't say he was a god, I simply requested another weakness be added to the CS or for the flaws in the armor or it's strength be made clearer in the CS. @Carlsberg didn't feel the need to cuss somebody and simply made an edit. Again, I'm still shocked you're taking it so personal.

It's my place as a GM to critique the Character Sheets. If I've got a problem with it, change it, or quit wasting everyone's time.

If by standard human weaknesses you mean drowning, fire, bullets, etc, then yes. The physical Force thing is always on, but in terms of protecting her it doesn't do that much. It only works against projectiles, and even then it doesn't have that large of an effect. Also yes, It would still be on whilst she slept.

He has some strength (not even super strength, he's just a bit stronger than your average humanoid would be) and scaly skin that makes him a bit tougher to hurt (not even that much tougher since it's really no different than Killer-fucking-Croc). That's all he actually has, those are his only natural abilities. So, with so little in the way of natural abilities why the fuck should I have to give him so many crippling natural weaknesses? The suit? The Lancer? The ship? That's all outside tech from Star Force. Those are all objects that can be stolen, hacked, damaged, and otherwise used by someone else if they got their hands on them. Isn't that in and of itself a pretty self-explanatory weakness? Hell, the uniform isn't even powerful at all, it's a glorified spacesuit, not the fucking Iron Man armor! But sure, let's just call your concerns valid, why not. It's not like you already have characters who are insanely stronger than Zandar is and who could kill him simply enough... OH WAIT!

I apologize for my tone and anger in general. Some real life frustrations are bleeding into how I interact here and that's not fair to you guys. So again, I apologize profusely, and beg forgiveness for any of the vulgar or venomous things I've said.

I'm just gonna be short and simple with the most of this because I'm completely shocked at how you've handled the situation. I thought I did know you, we've been in several RP's together over the course of the last couple years and for most of it I've never had a problem. I had one problem with the CS, and it's my right as a GM not to blindly accept character sheets as they are without criticism. One problem, the weaknesses, which if you'd have simply given him another weakness or described that his armor had it's flaws in the CS... it would have been accepted. Any other time I've had a problem with a CS of yours we've came to terms and agreed on this or that, this time you chose to cuss at somebody and call their entire game and it's setting into question. From the original iCheck, for anybody who missed it....

... We'll also likely come up with an original universe equivalent of NYC or Astro City so that most of the heroes can be neighbors somewhat defending smaller areas of a much larger city.

The group decided on New Athens, I just fleshed it out a little more. For the record I wanted to build the universe somewhat beyond Earth, hence the two Alien Archetypes as well as the Alien Outlaw. But still, it's apparent the most of the game's setting would still be New Athens, especially with this in the opening summary...

In New Athens, a hero is made every day and a villain every night.

If somebody had submitted a CS with the note their character is based in Thailand it wouldn't have been accepted. For the obvious reason. If that was my only problem with the theoretical CS, and it was edited, then more than likely it would've been accepted. This guy from Star Force has a natural power set cause he's an alien, another set of abilities granted by the suit, and then only one weakness listed. I had no problems with the rest of the sheet dude, despite the BRIEF Bio being anything but brief.

I have no hard feelings about this, but I'm also not the type to let somebody punch me in the face and then be dumb enough to immediately let them in my home. If you're having real life problems, then by all means deal with them and come back in a week or so if you want to submit the CS again with the edits. Personally... I'm in debt, behind on my rent, have no health insurance, I'm raising a six year old, just fell back on a dead end job, etc. and I've NEVER got on here and talked to somebody with the kind of disrespect you've shown. This is the ONLY time I'll let something like this slide, ever, for anybody I've RP'ed with in the past. Take a breather, get back to me sometime next week, and we'll talk about you getting in on this.

@Double The majority of the RP will be set in New Athens. Nearly everyone in the cast has standard human weaknesses, and those who don't [Chok-Lad, Sea Snake, and Radiance] have pretty big weaknesses that can completely take them out of the game or gradually reduce their power over time. If you can't be bothered to make a single edit to the sheet even though I think my concerns are pretty valid, then I'm sorry you feel like your time was wasted. Vary rarely are CS's perfect the first draft. Making your guy have something like sensitive vision is really a deal breaker? Because if he's on Earth and can take anything anybody dishes out that doesn't involve ice or breaking his space suit and sending him back into space... then he needs SOMETHING.

Upon further inspection of everyone's weaknesses I see I need to clarify how quickly Ark's powers fade. If he can bench four to five tons and be durable enough to withstand small arms fire at first, I'd say by hour two his strength will have decreased to two tons max lift and the immunity to small arms fire would be out the window. Like a fish, the longer he's out of water the more trouble he's in.

However, @Carlsberg does your girl not have standard human weaknesses with the force/tk field? Is it always up even when she's asleep?

You do know that the vast majority of space (you know, the place he primarily operates in and travels through) is a COLD vacuum? Martian Manhunter is one of the most OP'ed characters in comics, and I'd never accept that sort of nonsense in an RP. Being vulnerable in the vacuum of space is also a moot point if you're by the beach closing in on the summertime in New Athens. If he ONLY has a hard time fighting ice powered villains then there's a problem. I don't think it's asking much that he has more than one weakness, and if he's a big buff lizard and can take small or heavy arms fire even without his armor... then he definitely needs more weaknesses. You said it was inspired by the Predator, but even the Predator had more weaknesses than this guy. And even Predators are scaly buff aliens...

If it is a list of 30 abilities and power sub-sets then no, I don't want that. However you do need more than one weakness listed. That should go without saying. I don't want it both ways, and I never said he was over powered. Just that he needs to have established weaknesses. "Standard human weaknesses" covers a lot, but if he doesn't have them then it needs more clarification. That is all.

EDIT: And with the cartoon character, since @Double brought it up, none of his weaknesses seemed to matter since his toon regeneration would just undo anything done in no time. I'm not saying this Star Force officer is a god, he just needs more definition in the weaknesses department.
