Hello out there! My name's Mason. I like a lot of random stuff like comics, Masters of the Universe, M*A*S*H, X-Files, conspiracy theories, as well as a good superhero themed role play! I'm more of a DC freak than a Marvel zombie but I did grow up on mutants and 3rd string heroes. Once in awhile I'll make a few micros in MSPaint for my RP's because I love designing heroes as much as I do writing/reading about them. I'm about to try and get another random themed game off the ground, if you're interested gimme a shout!

I've been RP'ing for awhile. I mostly RP to keep my writing skills up to par, and I generally RP between Casual and Advanced. I've been a member of the guild for quite a bit, pre Guildfall even. Ninety percent of the time you'll find me in some superhero themed RP or something based off of another fandom like MotU or Power Rangers. Currently in the process of developing my own comics!
Favorite DC heroes (I won't go into villains to save space) in no order: Aquaman, Hawkman, Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner), Superboy (the clone), Swamp Thing, Starman, Animal Man, the Ray (90's era), Impulse, Captain Atom, and Batman Beyond.
Favorite Marvel heroes list: Human Torch I & II, Capt. Mar-Vell, Black Bolt, the classic Destroyer, Havok, Multiple Man, classic Scarlet Spider, Spiderman 2099, Nova, and Colossus.
OTHER FAVORITES: Space Ghost, the Rocketeer, the Maxx, Shadowhawk, Green Hornet, Madman, Doctor Star/Andromeda, the Phantom, He-Man, and Zorro.

The idea of a good Mysterio sounds cool, I can't stand Wolverine or his affiliates though aside from Sabretooth.
As for my new guy, I'm really digging the Torch of Liberty with the idea his successor actually has powers [however limited] like fire generation/manipulation from his hands. Nothing's for certain right now.
I also apologize the OOC/IC is taking a bit longer to finish. It's race week in my area and I'm working mandatory OT through Sunday. Then the biggest football game ever will be played in the speedway with something like 180,000 people in the area [3-5X the traffic we deal with during races] and that's coming up the 10th of September...
Saturday night I hope to not be as tired so I can get some writing done.

Rocketeer isn't Marvel or DC either, and I'm the GM and don't have any issues. LOL so what was the problem again? Call him Mighty Atom, Megaman, whatever you want. You made the concept your own and the backstory and bio are already approved, doesn't matter where you draw inspiration from for his name.

@DoubleWell the idea was to make a new original legacy character out of existing material. I mean they might as well all be completely original in that regard, but a few of us have kept the classics names. I LOVE how we have a tech based Luthor with no relation to anybody named Lex.
But what about 'Atomicon' or 'Atomicus'? Maybe give it that old school 8 bit video game reference and call him Robotron?

I don't think I'm gonna do Crimson Dynamo anymore since it seems we already have a bunch of Tech based heroes and I can't really think of anyway to put my own spin on him. I'll try to come up with something else but if I take to long feel free to start without me.

We do indeed have six players total as every post I 'Liked' is accepted. Krush, Sargon, Mighty Atom, Overload, and Thunderclap are all joining my guy in the rocket pack for some Nazi ass kicking shenanigans. Like the Avengers meets Inglorious Bastards in the modern day. With a Nazi Superman who's already invaded Washinton D.C. I'll get to work on an OOC/IC tomorrow after work...

A local vigilante was making the news headlines in what was called a 'Personal vendetta turned bloodbath...'. A hero with the ability to teleport through shadows called Shadow Walker took down local Atomic City superhuman criminal and mob boss Joey 'Iceberg' Black. However, several of Iceberg's men as well as his wife and two children were caught in the teleporting fury. Three of the men are still in critical condition at the local hospital, one of the children just died. What was once a prominent hero in the community finally let his rage get the best of him and now he's on the run from the authorities and anyone wearing a supersuit.
Alexander Mason had just got into town two days prior. He probably had three grand in the bank so he could afford a cheap motel for the time being on the outskirts of town. Upon hearing about the local hero turned fugitive, Alex knew he had to get involved. Doesn't matter if the guy was having a bad day, or lost control of his powers. Shadow Walker had to take responsibility for his actions.
9:30 pm...
In his Gemini gear, Alex was trying to get a lay of the land running parkour style across some of the medium and small buildings of midtown. He knew sooner or later this shadow guy would pop up. Not knowing how far gone the former hero was mentally, Gemini had to assume he was a threat to anyone around him and unstable at the least.
"Even if I don't find any traces of this Shadow Walker guy, at least I'm getting some good exercise... maybe I'll get lucky and see some action. Might catch some loser trying to jack a purse..." he thought leaping up a fire escape to a taller building's rooftop.
