Or hell, you may just be one of the best thieves in the world with the right toy in your hands. You've all got your history however brief or uninspiring. Now... what's it gonna be nutjob? You gonna join Task Force X?"
Any dropouts will be killed within the context of the game if you disappear on us for more than a couple weeks without mentioning something in the OOC.

Rules:
1.) Abandoned characters will be killed off within the context of the story. Missions will last no longer than three weeks. You disappear on us for fourteen days without warning, YOUR CHARACTER WILL BE KILLED. Other players can and will be recruited to fill any voids on the roster from the ONGOING iCheck.
2.) No back to back posting.
3.) PAY ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND SET-UPS!!
4.) Make sense. If we can't make heads or tails of your posts they're likely to get skipped over.
5.) Get permission before using another player's character in your posts if it involves changing the scene or making actions. Everybody will take beatings in this game in battle however, so don't get pissed if you get punched or blasted into a wall by the bad guys! Namely me controlling the badguys...
6.) Problems with the game or players should be sent directly to me through PM's. I don't want a bunch of bickering in the OOC.
7.) “I was waiting for [insert player/character] to make a move” is not how this game is played.
8.) There is no rule #8.
9.) My word is law.
10.) Obey the law.
11.) In the event that I'm offline for any period of time, the Co-GM [none at this time] will take control and HIS/HER word will then be law.

"I don't think you mean that, Marcus." the thick black woman spoke through the bars.
The woman was very sure of herself. Her eyes were serious, her expression was cold. She could honestly care less about any of them. All that Marcus Stevens knew was that he was transferred over night from Iron Heights back in Central City all the way down to Louisiana. The woman offered the criminal a deal. In exchange for time off his sentence, all he's gotta do is a few black ops missions for the woman's 'Task Force X'. He wondered what the mission was, and why his skills were needed. He sat in silence for a few moments more before standing up and coming towards the bars.
"What kinda black ops missions do you have in mind?" he asked.
"Its confidential, but if you MUST know... there's some technology giving some scientists a bit of a problem down in Texas. The whole lab has been compromised and we've already lost several agents..." Waller explained still staring a hole right through the man.
"You're being awfully vague, and I get it's all need to know, but it still sounds like suicide. If THAT'S the case, can I get a good meal before we get there?" he asked in response.
Hours Later
The group of criminals were all still in cuffs and power dampening collars for those who were metahuman. That's when Waller walked in with a woman who looked like she walked out of a Terminator film as well as a giant shark man. The room was large, and mostly empty, with several storage cases in front of the criminals as well as three armed guards. Waller continued her path to a large touch screen monitor on the wall and opened a window on the computer.
"KORD Industries down in Texas has just made a breakthrough with some technology we believe is extra terrestrial. Thomas Kord himself reached out to me, and so far I've lost three of my best men. There are very few scientists left inside that are still alive. Thomas and his sixteen year old son are also inside in some sort of underground panic room. The technology, be it alien or mystical in origin, absorbed nearby tech and the mass became something out of a Matrix film...." Waller explained.
[this is on the monitor]
"Did everyone enjoy your food?" she then asked, "Because it was laced with nanite explosives that have made their way through your bodies by now. You don't do as you're told or you try and go AWOL on me... you die. Simple as that." she said now with a bit of a grin.
"Take off their cuffs and collars, let them rummage through their stuff for whatever they need. We need to get moving..." she instructed the guards.
