Suicide 🚷 Squad

The clones were something else. Ghost wondered how long it would take for one of them to soil themselves in their white solar suit pj's. He remained intangible for the most of the opening of this kill or be killed situation, saved one of the only ARGUS soldiers left's life, and managed to find a mini fridge with mini shots and a few cans of Pepsi. He went tangible for a few moments to open three shots and a can of soda, the latter of which was heat vision'ed out of his hand. One of the clones was mere feet away from the would be drunk metahuman, who downed the three shots without chaser. He threw the little bottles at the clone then went ghost mode. Marcus flew through walls, water coolers, tables, etc. but the clones still gave chase. That was when the convicted thief saw King Shark battling another in close quarters.

"Get outta the way Fish Man!" screamed Stevens before leading one clone into crashing into it's 'brother' that was taking a beating from the aquatic hero.

As it appeared King Shark was about to finish the job in killing his target, Stevens looked down at the idiot clone who chased after him. It was an abomination. He didn't believe in anyone playing God, though he knew this was some government run facility. Even still...

"This just wasn't your day, Charlie Brown." Ghost said as he phased through the concussed clone's head and mangled its soft skull tissue and brain matter completely taking it out of the fight.

The four armed new guy let out a sonic wave that rocked nearly everyone, though the remaining clones seemed to take it the hardest. One of the remaining male clones finally pissed himself. Marcus Stevens never thought he'd actually see it happen. The Red Ghost couldn't hear himself laugh, but he could feel it in his face. And afterwards there was a ringing in his hears, so he went ghost mode once again and floated through the floor to get his wits together.

Red Ghost will likely be more of a coward this mission and go intangible half the time to avoid getting his head blown off by one of the super clones [or one of his teammates]. Gonna try and work up a post after I grab a bite to eat...

EDIT: Jumping in the titanpad to work on a post. I've been laughing at this though for the last ten minutes...

The most of the team is still at Legion HQ. Let your character get more acquainted with her new teammates, maybe join the training session Hawk is planning, just introduce us to your character really. It's still pretty early in the game, lots of options.

@FantasyChic, @KatherinWinter, and @Aro don't be scared to jump in! The opening battle with the first few enemies is nearing it's end and the second [possible] battle hasn't started yet in the training area with @knighthawk and his reincarnated Hawkman/Hawk...

@bluetommy2 you gonna have Ferro get his hands dirty? Get in there and show the rookies how it's really done!

@Tengri - I think you goofed on the amount of attacks you used on the squid. You didn't have to get super specific when using your attacks [I made a lot of them sound vague for that reason] but taking 4 HP from the enemy and saying you attacked 3 times for some reason completely baffled me. I was thinking 'did she have the enemy use a defense and not list it or..?' but it's more likely a typo and you hit 3 rather than 4 LOL

Should look like this:

Bolt: 10 HP
Tech Squid: 5 HP [-4 HP, 4 attacks]

I'll get another post up to move this mission along so some of the other players will hopefully rotate back in sooner than later, probably sometime this evening. We'll probably end the current mission around the middle of December, then take a short break again during the holiday season and maybe do some posts that dive more into our characters' minds in between missions from behind their prison walls if anybody wants to post through the holidays. I just know it can be hectic as twenty hells so I'm not gonna get grumpy or kill off half a dozen characters. If the players' with characters currently not on the mission want to post something while they're in prison, you guys are more than welcome to it.

The first tech squid has been defeated. Still looking forward to Ferro Lad and Bolt getting into the fight. I kinda used their non action in my post, since Ultra Boy and Momentum are both rookie heroes and Ferro and Bolt are seasoned vets in the Legion and Ungaran police force respectively.

@knighthawk Since you've been in one of these stat based games before, if you'd like to fight a tech squid or robot minion [B-3P0] in the training area [War Room? Always liked the sound of 'War Room'..] then that would be cool.

@Tengri You still needed to repost your CS in the Character Tab as well!

Once upon a time, Sol was as helpless as the humans and non-powered alien species living in Metropolis in the year 3000. On the planet Daxam, none of Sol's people had superpowers due to their red sun. When Brainiac Five destroyed the planet, the panic and fear currently in downtown Metropolis could've been multiplied something like one thousand and twenty times on the planet Daxam. Sol was in school when it happened. He could only watch as his entire city burned from natural disasters caused by the robotic armies of Brainiac Five. The transport ship Sol's class tried escaping in was shot down before the members of the Legion stepped in and gave assistance. Several one man pods were ejected, and after witnessing heroes such as Ultra Boy and Mon El in action Sol had wished he could do more.

His ship was the only pod to make it's way into the Milky Way Galaxy of sector 2814. Some time after it was reported the Legion fell, Sol discovered his powers while trying to live a life on an alien planet. It was exceptionally difficult for the young man as he had never been around anything other than his fellow Daxamites. Xenophobic by nature, Sol was more accepting than his family and people. He adopted the name Ultra Boy more recently before being approached by Cosmic Boy with a ring two days ago.

Now, he's battling these metal plated robots. Ultra Boy landed two basic punches on the same tech squid that was defending the more humanoid robot minion. He bent the steel in his hands gripping the outer shell of the tech squid and flew into the air throwing it back down to the ground below him.

Ultra Boy: 15 hp
Tech Squid 1: 3 hp [-6 hp from three attacks by Sol]

The other tech squid was en route to Ferro Lad and Bolt who were both somewhat in awe at the two rookie heroes before them. Ferro Lad had been in the Legion for awhile, and Bolt was an officer on Ungara. These two kids from Daxam and Xudar were doing a good job and the crowd still around them who could see the battle were cheering this reborn Legion like a football team. Before they realized the other tech squid was on them, Ferro Lad and Bolt were both hit with life draining tendrils.

Ferro Lad: 16 hp [took -1 damage from Tech Squid 2]
Bolt: 10 hp [took -1 damage from Tech Squid 2]
Tech Squid 2: 13 hp

It appeared Momentum was focusing his efforts on the humanoid robot leader of this bunch so Ultra Boy flew down and grabbed Tech Squid 1 by the tendrils. Flying towards Bolt and Ferro Lad, Sol let out a scream...

"EVERYBODY SHIELD YOUR EYES!" he screamed before bursting with light in a solar flare.

Ultra Boy: 15 hp
Tech Squid 1: 0 hp [Ultra Boy's Sig is -4 hp, Squid 1 is DEFEATED]
Tech Squid 2: 9 [-4 hp, Ultra Boy's Sig is an area attack and can effect multiple enemies]

"You two just gonna stand there?" Ultra Boy asked of his teammates who had yet to get their hands dirty.
