Entrance Description (Optional):

The lights go out, and a horse cries out into the arena/venue, thunder and lightning effects strike down towards the entrance way. The music starts. Red and gold lights erupt as the Pegasus King leaps down from seemingly nowhere and/or the sky when the voice of Robert Plant begins to sing 'Aaaaa Aaaaaaah Aaaah'. He stands there breathing in the atmosphere for a moment in an open sleeveless red robe with golden wings designed into the back, only walking forward when actual words come from the mouth of the singer. "Come to the land of the ice and snow..."

He proceeds to the ring to slingshot over the ropes and runs to the opposite top turnbuckle to throw his arms out to the sides like wings before falling back and running to the diagonal opposite corner and doing the same pose. Afterwards he usually jumps slightly in place a bit somewhere in the ring to get the mind right before removing his robe and stretching his arms a bit.

Wrestling Style: Versatile. He can go with just about anybody.

the Alliance of Liberty City

The winged Queen of Gold hit the scene like a champ. Wielding a two handed spear she almost sent the behemoth into shock enough to snap out of the mind control. As if the ending was already foretold the woman with the strange skull helmet had disappeared. Was this all a distraction? Several of the heroes questioned just what the hell was going on, and Supercop had hit the scene minutes later to finish with the clean-up and questioning.

"I hate that I missed all the action, kid!" Supercop exclaimed to a worn out Son of Liberty and other heroes.

Painkiller worked with several EMT's off to the side of the scene for several minutes while police finished taking in the still mindf***ed alien formerly known as Kid Cosmo.

"I'm gonna head back to HQ, you gonna come back by after? Might get a few pizza's..."
SoL asked the green clad Painkiller.

"Nah man, I'll probably just call it a night. Using my powers this much usually taxes me..." Painkiller replied.

"Spellbound, you gonna come check out the Freedom Fortress? Or you gotta run errands for one of your relatives again?" Son of Liberty asked his cloaked compatriot.

"Xero! You weren't half bad either my man, you like pizza? Wanna join this hero Alliance I'm putting together?" he asked the other new face in the superhero crowd.

Judah didn't see Sam. The superhumans in civilian clothes always disappeared into the crowds easier. And the Queen usually just came and went with those wings of hers.

Across town...

Judy Juggernaut left the Academy on a motorcycle. She tapped the side of her helmet to activate a communication device of some kind within the helmet.

"Did you get away? I don't care about the alien. Just make sure you're not followed..." she spoke to whomever was on the other end.

Japanese Pro-Wrestling RP (E-Fed Style)

Holy shit, I'm pretty sure you and I were in the same fed on here like years and years and years ago, I remember writing a match against a wrestler like that. The fed ended up fizzling out so I ultimately left the guild to do some wrestling RPs on other sites, but that's so funny to hear you mention it now. Small world.

To answer you question though, this is an RP that will treat wrestling as completely "real" so we are focusing entirely on in-character promos and feuds. We will probably start with a men's division all competing for one World Title, maybe with a secondary title in there as well. If the RP grows, more championships can be added.

I've tried keeping up with WWE, TNA, AEW, AAA Mexico, and some indies this past year but mostly just watch highlights on YouTube and a handful of different wrestling podcasts like Jim Cornette, Shane Douglas, Kevin Nash, Stevie Richards, and Eric Bischoff.

I was thinking of drawing inspiration from the younger Dean Malenko during his Japan run and Benoit during his Pegasus Kid days, and adding a dash of AJ Styles for a masked wrestler called Pegasus King. Red and gold rather than blue and silver. My knowledge of NJPW and AAA Japan is limited to what I know of American wrestlers over there, and a tad bit about the Bullet Club.

@Cyrania I dig the changes, the Soviet like Martians that are still alive and not possessing the exact powers of MM are intriguing (I'd love to make a few Black Circle members off world Martians), but I did have some questions. If your MM can shapeshift, being locked into the superhero form when in Martian mode doesn't make much sense. Couldn't he just assume a different form entirely and still use the meta-Martian abilities as a hero? And why would Soviet style Martians need to create a superhero if the species is seen as perfect and without crime? Also, on this alternate Earth of ours aliens are more feared in general by this world's governments; Superman's legal papers are constantly questioned in the media thanks to President Luthor.

Aside from all that I'd just give the character a new name for he and his brother to make it yours. Hell you could pull an Invincible and keep the J'onn alias but then make him this universe's shapeshifting Plastic Man. But yeah, call him J'imm J'kson or something.

@Sanity43217 I love this sheet too, he sorta reminds me of the comic version of Savitar. I really dig the constantly moving thing, and transferring speed in combat through his style of fighting, as well as the ricochet aspect. I'd only ask if you could tweak two things. Again, this character is badass and yours... give him another civilian name and arch enemy. The other thing is the skull helmet. Since that's my guy's schtick you think your creepy speedster could wear a mask like guy from the Black Phone? Creepy face with horns essentially?

We get a few more sheets like these two and we'll be in business. Rather than some form of Justice League forming in this universe, with a vampire Batman lurking around we could be more like the Shadowpact, JL Dark, or the Outsiders.

Japanese Pro-Wrestling RP (E-Fed Style)

I wanna say I've done two RP's like this in the past, but both were pre-Guildfall. I came up with a character that was like a combo of Tatanka and Rey Mysterio that was a masked Native American.

Are we shooting for a single weight division like heavyweights or cruiser weights, or is it sorta just everybody going for the same big belt? And will we just cut promos and single wrestling posts or will there be behind the scenes stuff with our wrestlers in and out of character as well?

Totally gonna make a guy with a mask or face paint.

Was hoping somebody would take the Flash and do something with them, or maybe make the Speed Force a team of people with different speed based abilities rather than the power within all of them. The Martian Manhunter just being a bounty hunter type of space alien from Mars could also be really dope.

*taps deeper into DC lore and randomness*

- Starman and/or Stargirl could have altered powers and be powered by the 'Starheart' or simply call the energy 'Starfire'

- Toyman could be a smaller action figure style hero instead of Doll Man (could even be a robot)

- The Cheetah could be the fastest hero in this universe

- 'Green Arrow' could be the name of an experimental plane, or plane suit (think of the blue guy from Centurions)

- Aquaman could just be some type of aquatic version of Ultraman (red and silver Japanese hero) or something like the Creature from the Black Lagoon

- Dr. Midnight could just be a late night superhero doctor/surgeon without the blindness or blackout bombs

Champions was a little more niche, might do something with the Darkwater setting in another RP down the line though. This one definitely gives players more freedom to do what they want with whatever concepts they're interesting in reworking. If anybody wanted to run with the vampire Batman or New God-ish style WW they could do that too, but Superman is still off the table cause something is going to happen with him in the beginning of the RP....

A new alien menace has began raiding several warehouses in Central City [Kansas] and it's sister city across the bridge Keystone City. The Superman hasn't been seen in weeks and is thought to be off world. Batman stays in Gotham and is only ever seen at night. Meanwhile, Wonder Woman was last seen in Europe after the new King and Queen were crowned. Central City and Keystone City aren't the only towns being invaded either. In a matter of weeks, other large cities in America began seeing humanoid alien goons in several dozen locations. Midway City [Michigan], Coast City [California], Star City [Washington], and St. Roch [Louisiana] have all been invaded with what appears to be an 'alien criminal organization.'

Batman has already come into contact with what the media is calling 'the Black Circle' because of a brand or mark on several of the aliens. He's tracked most of them to a chemical warehouse down near the Gotham Harbor.

In this RP, players will get the chance to recreate some of the bigger DC properties in a similar fashion to what happened when the Golden Age was replaced by the Silver Age. The Atom went from being a little person with an atomic punch to what we have today in Ray Palmer using tech to shrink to atomic size. Green Lantern changed from a man in a cape with a supernatural ring of power into a space cop armed with the same type of ring only as part of a larger Corps. I know what you guys are thinking. "How is this unlike any game that came before?" And the answer is simple. Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman will remain mostly unchanged though I may make some tweaks to their histories [they're Gods and Monsters inspired]. EVERYTHING ELSE IS DETERMINED BY YOU. While I'm sure some folks will take more high profile characters, that's not to say you can't reimagine a lesser known character. While we'll more than likely form a team of some kind, though it will probably be Justice League themed, it doesn't have to be made up of reimagined Justice Leaguers. You wanna make Clayface a superspy who works for ARGUS? Perhaps Blue Beetle is an alien hero rather than somebody in a scarab themed suit? What if the Flash was reimagined as somebody who manipulates light to a much more basic degree than standard Green Lanterns, like what almost happened in the 80's and after the Crisis? You wanna recreate Hawkman and make him a guy riding on a giant thunderbird? Go for it! Maybe you've had an idea to make Star Sapphire a little more like Diamondhead from Ben10? That's cool too.

Superman - Crash landed in Kansas in 1938, he took the name Clark Kent for a little more than twenty years until he became adjusted to how things worked on Earth. He began operating as Superman and was dubbed the first metahuman in 1960. In 2026, it looks like he might be twenty years older. The only signs of age are his facial hair and attitude. He built a fortress in Antarctica and saves the world when he has nothing else to do. Lately he's defended larger cities such as Tokyo, Metropolis, Coast City, Paris, and Cairo.

Batman - Doctor Thomas Wayne was a brilliant scientist and chemical researcher in Gotham who was looking into making a pill to grant longer lifespans [inspired by the ageless Superman]. After some experiments go horribly wrong, Wayne is left in a vampire like state and must feed on the blood of his enemies every so often to survive. At first he hunted criminals at night to survive, but since 2016 he's turned his nightlife into a war on crime.

Wonder Woman - The most like her original, Princess Diana was chosen to go out into man's world in 2018 after living on the hidden Paradise Island with her Amazon sisters for nearly seven centuries. The Amazons are more technologically advanced in this universe, WW's sole weapon now being a sword fashioned with Mother Box tech and teleportation capabilities.

You can take ANY DC Comics character or concept and completely change it up to suit your tastes. Any enemies I introduce in this after the Black Circle will be tied to Justice League-centric baddies as well as several of Superman's enemies and factions within the DCU. ARGUS is still our answer to SHIELD, STAR Labs is still a thing, and Lex Luthor is president in Trump like fashion. He demands to see 'Superman's legal papers' for instance because the world doesn't know Superman was actually the first alien to call Earth home.

... whenever I was toying with the concept of things being similar mostly in name only. In the Tangent universe for example Green Lantern is a woman with a Lantern on a staff that raises the dead. The Flash is a girl with light based powers. And the Atom of that universe is an atomic powered juggernaut more similar to traditional Superman.

With Stan Lee's DCU Superman was a stranded space cop, Green Lantern was connected to the energies of the Tree of Life, and Sandman was a Jack Kirby-esque guardian of a dream dimension.

You guys can take these concepts and go nuts. My Deadman is meant to be something of a combo of Tangent GL and Deadman, with a little inspiration from the Spectre as well for his arch-enemy. Here's my CS to show you guys just how different characters can be in this new DCU...

the Deadman

Personality - stoic, mysterious, blunt, distant, reckless (mostly in combat)

Archetype - Supernatural
Powers -

Regeneration: While always in a state of decay, D always comes back to his usual zombie visage in time and can even remove and reattach his own limbs.

Heightened Attributes: Stronger, faster, with increased endurance and durability, as well as no need for food or oxygen.

Invisibility: JD can fade out like a ghost and become invisible for short periods.

Flight: his top speed is less than 200 mph, and he generally flies low due to frequently getting lost.

Skills/Equipment - Flunked out of the Air Force in his early 20's. Decent H2H skills. His powers are granted to him by the mystical green Lantern that brought him back to life.

Weaknesses - While a little tougher than a standard human, anybody with strength or blasting power can annihilate this guy. He'll regenerate completely in about twenty four hours.

BRIEF Bio -

JD flunked out of the Air Force after learning of his parents dying in a car accident back in his hometown of Gotham. He hadn't been back to that hellhole in years, but after losing his latest job as well as his girlfriend... he decided to pay his parents' graves a visit after a few years had passed. Still sporting a bomber jacket he talked quietly to his parents' headstones when he could hear some weirdos nearby. A dirty old green lantern on a mausoleum flickered to life in the pouring rain and one of the local gang members used the lantern to strike JD in the back of the head, killing him on the spot.

The lantern was dropped to the ground as the three men rolled the body and took his shoes, jacket, wallet, etc. Thunder crashed and the lantern flickered to life once more several days later, this time resurrecting the man's body in the morgue. He reached out for the men but they were long gone, so he sought out the lantern. The lantern glowed brighter than ever before now granting real power to the undead man who now had a suit and powers he'd never dreamed of. After locating his attackers he seemingly ate their corrupted souls and upon returning to the lantern in the cemetery JD regurgitated them into the lantern. He also got his coat back. Now he defends those in Gotham who can't defend themselves as... the Deadman.

Notes - Deadman operates out of an old mausoleum in the Gotham cemetery he was reborn in. Rather than Deadman being tied to some random deity I just made his power source the lantern and did the three step thing like Alan Scott's lantern had, and just changed the end result up a bit.

So... anybody out there wanna take the DCU and turn it on it's head?
