I know you were interested in the other guy's RP which is quite literally the same thing but he hasn't been on in 20 days, and idk if he's coming back.. so I figured I'd extend an invitation, just in case.

@sassy1085 If I remember correctly (which I almost never do so don’t quote me lol) we were both in CapNCrunch’s Arrowsmith High RP. I was going through my old RPs in my subs and saw you in one of them. If it’s not Cap’s RP I’ll have to go back and look through to see which one it was ^^

@Krytavius I believe the term “werewolves” would KIND OF fit for Wolves of Yellowstone, but “shifters” would definitely be a much more accurate term for Army Dogs. ^^

Wolves of Yellowstone ||or|| Army Dogs / Militia Wolves

So, I haven't fixed them up yet from their original forms, but I have two different roleplays _{both involving werewolves of sorts} that I would like to resurrect from my graveyard of roleplays. I haven't RP'd a good werewolf RP in a while, and haven't seen any around.. so, I'd like to see if anyone would have any interest in either of my ideas. The plots will be rewritten and some things will be tweaked, but the plots are just outlines for what's to come later. So read them, if you would, and let me know which idea interests you more. The one with the most interest is the one I will be working on to revise this week. The other idea will be revived at another time, but I can only do so much work on a single RP for now. I have quite a busy schedule, I just know I would like to bring one back for the time being. :)

So, without further ado..here they are!
^{Don't judge me too harshly on the writing..... I wrote these in my freshman year xP (Wolves of Mercy Falls was more or less taken straight from the first book's preview.}

Originally titled "The Wolves of Mercy Falls" (after the series), but will be renamed "The Wolves of Yellowstone"

Plot

Yes, this Literate Role Play is mainly based off the books 'Shiver', 'Linger', and 'Forever', by Maggie Stiefvater. At one point, when first introduced to the series, I was obsessed! I read the first book three times and the middle and last ones twice. I'm really hoping someone other than myself on this site has read the series.

The Cold

Changes us. Makes us.. something we never once imagined we could become. Not our "normal" selves. Yes, I know it sounds crazy, gnarly even, but it's true. It takes away our skin, replacing it with a ruff, warm and bristly fur. During that time we stay with our pack, our only family and friends in the woods beyond any form of civilization. We wander into their yards every so often for their trash, barbecue, and unfortunately in rare cases, their pets. There's no way to avoid or to hide from it. We have to shift...more or less, transform in the freezing cold, our muscles tensing and fighting the change, bones cracking and renewing themselves to create our new forms. We become.. wolf.

The Warmth

The time we are who we were born to be. We stay together, usually.. unless one of us doesn’t change on the normal schedule. We live among the normal ones - humans.. in our safe home, waiting in agonizing fear for the cold to turn us back into the things we dread most. We have to live with it, though. Dodging those rare, 'normal' ones who recognize us from our previous life in the woods, trees, and cold. We stay secretive, venturing out for food, and very seldom, our favorite places. In the warmth, we become what we once were.. human.

The Shiver

We stay together, biting and changing few. Some come to us, out of instinct, who are like us. Our families have rejected us, keeping us away from them. We all fled to somewhere safe. With our new family, the pack. Our old life is gone, our new one replacing it all too quickly for comfort. We can’t help killing the ones not like us occasionally, we don’t like being hunted for sport or going hungry. But sometimes.. we ruin lives. We hate it, but we do. We bite the ones not like us, making them.. us.

Basic Outline

You were once human, and you got bit by a Werewolf. You didn’t know they were what they were.. until you felt like crap, getting flu like symptoms.. Then, actually changing into a wolf on and off, no matter the temperature. Your families rejected you, and you found the one who changed you, deciding to stay with them where you come to realize you kind of belong. Among your own kind. Pack. You’re a wolf when its cold out, below 50 Degrees F. But when you go into a warm house, a warm building, or its above 50 degrees out, you turn into a human. This is not completely like the book, and only those of you who have read it will know why. xD The thing is, when your a wolf, your hair color doesn’t matter, only your eyes and personality are passed from your human form to your wolf form. No, when in wolf form you Cannot talk to each other! But, you can send each other mental images of whats going on around you, and you can sense each other’s feelings and have an amazing sense of hearing and smell. For example, you can tell the type, and speed of a car on a distant highway from your enhanced hearing. Any questions? Ask me, please!

(P.S- The Werewolves do have a house they go to, owned by a wealthy werewolf - also can be seen as their Alpha. They don’t go there in winter, they usually just stay in wolf form during that whole time. They also have a shed in the woods with extra clothes, supplies, and other stuff for when they come back from a change.)

F.A.Q.

When questions start arising, I will answer them and post both the questions and answers to them here ^{as FAQ's work...duh.}

1. When do the wolves change, how often, and for how long?

When in human form, most wolves avoid anywhere where it's too cold during the warmer months of the year. Wolves will change when the temp drops below 50 degrees, and it depends on each wolf how long they will stay a wolf. Each change, after the first 5, will result in less and less time allowed for them to be human. As the years pass, eventually, a wolf will no longer return home. They won't change back to their human form ever again, and they will remain wolves. The new/remaining human Alpha will take over care of the pack that can no longer make the change, being sure to help them along if they are running scarce on food or anything else they might need.

2. Can the wolves have children?

Yes they can, but only in very rare cases. Some have had kids prior to being turned, and are forced to leave them behind. 99% of the pack members opt out of having children all together in the sad fact that they will never get to see them grow up, or be there when a parent is most needed. Some, again, rare cases, make the mistake of having children after they are turned. Those children are forced into the same lifestyle their parents were cursed with, but not till they reach the age of 15. Maturity for the pack must hit at 15, because the all of two cases that this has happened, they turned by halfway through their 15th year.

3. How do the wolves get turned in the first place?

Being bitten or scratched, even if the wolf is in their human form. Biting or scratching too hard can result in turning their human victims. Rare cases have ever been recorded ^{as stated above} who have been born with the curse. It's not something we Wolfbloods hear of everyday.

4. What are Pack Positions in Shiver described as?

There aren't really any specified ranks, but I figured it'd be cool to include ranks as real wolf packs have their own hierarchy. The books don't have said ranks, although they act as if they did. Paul is pack lead ^{when in wolf form}, Beck is his right hand (beta) and Sam is like Beck's son, and he is a bit of a loner, so he kind of falls in to Omega.

Army Dogs (or) "Militia Wolves" - Very short, but will have more added later. You get the gist of it, though, right?

Our government never tells the people everything that they know. Like the fact that werewolves are more realistic than we could have imagined. The first werewolf infected, Murphy Curtis O'Reilly, was taken into custody by the government and interrogated. Poked and prodded for years before he died from the multiple testing done to him. This secret was kept under wraps, never to be revealed to the public. DNA left behind from O'Reilly allowed testing to be done on criminals with life sentences. Who cares about them, right? As the years passed, the "disease" was perfected and the government decided it was time they did something useful with it. They started giving the "serum" to military forces, hoping it would increase their chances at winning future wars.

(( So, this RP will basically be either new recruits or seasoned vets who have been given the serum. They'll be given a mission, and the roleplay will be based around a small division of "army dogs" completing (or attempting to complete, depending on how it all goes down) said mission. ))

Is animal roleplaying still a thing???

I’ve recently been wondering if bringing around a Wolf roleplay would stir up any interest in the community. I remember doing wolf RPs years ago, never did do the Warrior Cats thing (never read the books).. but this has much been a question for me, as of late. We should be the start of the revolution to change this, and make them a thing again! I miss them, so much.

Oh, right. Shooting at people, whether at or near someone... especially a large group of someones, tends to put everyone in a panic. Whoops. Not exactly what Dak had in mind. Then again, the boy hardly thought before he did anything no matter what the situation. Emotion-driven, the boy only knew two things. One, his partner had sent him a distress signal over comms. And two, he was going to do what it took to make sure she was safe.

So many voices echoed out through the cargo bay, as well as several blaster shots fired back at Dakry's one. The young man shot off a few in response and quickly tried to duck for cover, growling to himself as he felt the searing pain in his shoulder from a blaster bolt burning a hole through it. Taking sharp breaths through his teeth, Dakry pushes himself to stand but doesn't get far before a thermal detonator lands right beside him. His eyes wide, the boy turns away to get as far from the grenade as possible, immediately stops when he feels hands wrap around him from behind, feeling something pressed to his neck. The thermal detonator in the corner of his eye seemingly pushed away, exploding in a pit nearby. Dak swallowed nervously, taking a glance over into the direction of where he last saw Brin, gritting his teeth out of frustration because he didn't have eyes on her. The whole cargo bay was dark except for two red eyes staring back at him inside.

It was then a woman's voice spoke to him, causing an eyebrow to raise slightly. 'A girl? Hmm,' he thought to himself. Tarrok, snarling ferociously, bounded straight for the girl and his boy but not before Dak could breath out a sharp breathy whistle between his teeth, holding a firm fist out at Tarrok. The anooba quickly ceased, sitting back on his haunches with his eyes trained on the girl behind his boy, teeth bared. Slowly, Dak reached his blaster down as close to the floor as he could manage with the knife still at his throat and let it drop to the ground. The young man pushed it off to the side with his foot before standing back up again with his hands up, palms facing outward. 'If we don't die, she better at least appreciate the effort,' he thought to himself sarcastically.

Military Werewolves

Crazy haha, I had an idea exactly like this called "War Dogs" _{(EDIT: Actually, I just looked up the site I had made for it a long time ago ((2012 to be exact lol)) and I had called it "Army Dogs" and "Militia Wolves", not "War Dogs"... although that's not a half bad name for the RP too!)}. I'd be interested, if you'd be willing to let me in on it.

(Personally, I vote for Underworld-type werewolves, but that's just me xD .... _{I'd say Twilight werewolves, but 1. that's too typical of a girl to say, and 2. I only say Twi-wolves because they're just heckin large wolves, for crying out loud...and who doesn't like MASSIVE wolfies?!})

EDIT pt.2: I see this kind of became dead. I am going to look into making my own RP, if any previously interested parties would like to join.
