I'll read up on Veronica then, see if that helps with direction. I am still a bit stumped on some aspects.

You're welcome! I just thought it was pretty back-handed of him and I knew instantly that it was coming from his character's denial. As I said, I've seen him quite a lot and Light is the only character I've ever really see him play.
I've been quietly considering a character for this. Would it be acceptable if I proposed a more antagonistic character?
Miyako

The Prince and the Pauper III
Aventino District

Miyako quietly watched her handler as he analyzed his gift, only breaking her quiet vigil to meekly nod at the man's more than likely rhetorical question. She continued her watch as David got up and started heading towards his bedroom. Miyako did not follow as she obediently awaited for the man to address her before he would retire. Right as he got to the doorstep, she finally got her address.

She didn't really respond to the man's closing statement as she did not really find anything to say. She didn't know a Andrew Polanski, nor did she know anything about a farmer's rally. In fact, she had to spell out the name in her head to make sure she knew exactly what the name looked like. But with David's retirement for the night, Miyako turned and headed to her own room. It was rather basic in terms of living but it was uniquely decorated with oddities here and there, mostly stuff Miyako had collected throughout her time here. They were small items, small enough to fit in her pocket, and were strategically crammed on every surface the girl had available. Dressers, shelves, it didn't matter as there was something she kept. Her latest addition, which she pulled out of her pocket and placed on her nightstand, was a ceramic tortoise ashtray she found in the mafia hideout.

With her collection updated, she stripped and slipped into the bathroom, careful to dodge David from spotting her in the nude. There wasn't a lot of time for a shower, seeing as she still had things to do this evening, so she forewent that and instead opted for a running a wet towel across the dry, crusty blood of those unfortunate enough to meet Miyako this evening. Once she was relatively cleaner, she slipped back into her bedroom and donned fresh clothes to look as inconspicuous as possible.

She left the apartment shortly after that, taking a quick sip of her coffee before carrying on to find information about the Farmers' Rally. It would take Miyako most of the night as she swept through the city on foot. Fliers advertising the event were the easiest to find but she didn't find any mention of Andrew's name, thus she only grabbed one and continued her search. Towards the end of her night she stumbled upon a homeless man who witnessed her curiosity as she scanned a similar Farmer Flier, provided her direction to find more information. This eventually lead to a pamphlet that had listed the names of those speaking. Andrew's name was plastered on there for sure. Miyako returned early in the morning and opted to retire on the couch so that David could find her and wake her easily if need be. Of course he would have to as the Farmers' Rally was scheduled for later that morning...
I toldya mate, don't be so restricting on powers or characters and you'll have a successful RP. the more restrictive you are, the lower your success rate. go look at the RPs with over 100+ posts in the IC for examples.

Just some advice so you can make successful RPs.

Okay so I probably shouldn't say this but I dunno, you came off pretty crude there. Besides, your post isn't about offering advice, you just got mad because Light was denied.

I have seen you play Light in four different places and then try to apply Light to 3 other RPs now. Light does not work in every RP.
Huh. That sounds crazy advanced.
So... What is the simulation like? Is there total immersion? Feel pain? Does the room "break" the reality of what it really is and you're allowed to walk freely without bumping into a wall and interact with the environment?
@Sep That was kind of the whole point of what I asked, do you guys want to collab something or do a post by post? I think collabing would be best because I'd be able to use Allison's gifts right away and help right away instead of having to wait.

Yea that's fine.
So... Would Hollie already know how a simulated Juggurant scenario would go? Has this simulatation been run before? Would she have experience with it?
@Pirouette We could have them have their own rooms it seems. Up to you, really since we haven't established that Hollie and Allison are roommates yet.

Oooh but that ruins the fun of breaking the rules.
Collie Craster

The Long Watch III

"Quite the misfortune for us, wouldn't you say?" Collie said in reply to Yvette's comment about the Tellosians. She was speaking in general as all of herself and her allies were heavily outgunned at the moment, but she was really thinking about herself. About one more year of service, and she would have been honorably discharged and allowed to continue on with her life. Granted, nothing was ever going to be the same after the military, but at least people won't be shooting her anymore...

The moment fire erupted, Collie dropped low to make herself harder to hit. She was at greater risk than her companions due to her EHCS being lightly armored with nothing more than ballistic fibers and a few pieces of metal plate. Sure, Collie had a thin shield layer that provided some protection but those things were always unreliable at best. Nonetheless, Collie kept up with Yvette as she continued her progress only stopping to occasionally spray fire in a direction. There wasn't much rhyme or reason to her shooting, it was just something that was an instinct. She wasn't there to kill but to save, although she has done both.

Collie must have been preoccupied as Yvette entered a scrap when she was ambushed by a few Tellosian. She was lucky to get out of that fine, save for some apparent psychological distress. Collie was grateful that the Staff Sergeant ended up putting a stop to that. Speaking of which, the man seemed to have gotten out of that crash unscathed. Lucky him. Judging by the man's isolation from the other reinforcements, Collie could presume that most were dead or dying. Unlucky them. "With you, seven." Collie chimed in to answer the man's question. "Anyone else survive that crash? And what about yourself? Feeling alright?" She'd wait only a moment for the man to answer before turning and heading back to the bunker as the man could clearly walk and fight.

She managed to make it only about a hundred yards before a sudden eruption on the comms alerted her to the status back the bunker. Screams of agony screeched into her earpiece. Since they had such a small outfit here and Collie was rather experienced in the matter, she picked up on it being Cal's screams. He only screamed for a moment before subsiding, likely passing out from whatever happened to him. He probably wasn't dead as men on death's door sit in a quiet, tragic disbelief. Regardless, she had to hightail it back to the bunker. "Cal? ... Cal?" Collie called out into her allied airwave in between breaths but found no response. ".. Anyone near Cal .. that can tell me what happened?"

Collie sounded remarkable calm and collected despite everything going on, but that's the result of being a battle-tested veteran for a few years. She couldn't afford to panic during this time as someone's life always depended upon her. She wasn't immune to it, though. There were many sleepless nights, horrifying memories, and a constant fear of death. She can understand it so when Kane's frantic cries came over the comms and she pretty much agreed with his frustration. She wanted to curse the world out for this shitty luck but she didn't have the luxury of that so she always kept her head straight. No matter the cost later.
