❄Erika Olson❄

For once, Erika was finally feeling prepared for her journey ahead but it came at quite the cost, nearly clearing her out of her money. Thankfully, Erika was fully prepared to keep on catching new Pokemon, though she would have to see what types awaited her on Route 5. As Joshua so kindly offered to row the canoe for them, Erika took a brief look at her notes, considering her next move. She considered which types might be the best for her right now. With Ice, Water, Dragon and Ground having a presence, Erika already had a fairly varied team for this early start but she lacked a solid punch for particular types. But then again, Erika wasn't going to be too choosey when it came to new Pokemon.

"Thanks again, oh gallant, Joshua." Erika said, feeling more comfortable with these two gentlemen. It was nice that she still had their company and the thought crossed her mind of later challenging Ewan to a Pokemon Battle. It made sense as a sort of way to test their abilities before trying out the gym, at least. But that would probably wait until they were closer to Stillwood as starting the route with tired Pokemon wasn't really a good use of resources.

Route 5 was magnificently quaint with the rolling grass, forests, and backdrop of the mountains. The slight chill in the air sent a slight shiver down Erika's spine but she wasn't cold, rather it felt like a kiss from home. "I wonder how everyone is doing at home.." Erika said to herself before suddenly coming to a realization. "Oh! Hey you guys, if you ever end up in Cooldome City, that's where I'm from! And if you are there, find my mom as she helps visiting trainers with a lot of things, like if you wanted to climb Mt. Chill or battling. Err.. Don't know if she'll know much about Pokemon Contests, though." Erika offered as a sort of thank you for the both of them.

"Anyway, what would you two like to do? I know I want to try and fill out my team a bit more and...What's with that house, I wonder?" Erika found herself drifting off as she wondered why it looked so inviting to investigate. "Err.. Want to see what that is about, first?" Erika inquired but really she had already started heading towards the out-of-place house.

MFW:
Kyoka Haizenberuku

It came as no surprise when Kyoka heard the words that they had passed the first round even despite the momentary pause after the timer had expired. Though Kyoka had to admit, there was an academic interest in what the other methods of passing were. Well regardless of the different possibilities in that test, Kyoka had more important factors to consider, namely the next challenge. Though, Kyoka kept an ear out for any clues provided in the congratulations explanation. Just in case...

"I'm reckon there be more to it than just a pit, cuz." Kyoka hollered to her cousin as she strode across the bridge to the black room. Judging from the theme so far, this seemed like it was bound to be their last challenge. The nature of the challenge appeared to be a more direct one. Two Hokage clones appeared cutting off their path from the scroll. Obviously, the scroll was the objective while beating the Hokages were unnecessary. However, Kyoka did not expect this portion to be as lax as the previous challenge. In the theme, they had their peace, now came war. Thus it was a fair, and likely correct, assumption that these weren't just some passive images but rather a full physical embodiment meaning Kyoka could skip the experimenting with the peaceful approach. Instead focus can be taken on the more aggressive side.

In a battle of four against two, these clones must have been made to be extremely capable of handling all four. Therefore Kyoka and her team's approach must be coordinated and executed well. However, there was an issue with that. Kyoka had no experience with Yuki or Tashiro, leaving her own teammates in the list of unknowns for this challenge. "Don't suppose y'all two can clue me in to ya strengths, huh? I'ma need all da details. Spare me, nuttin'" Kyoka inquired to her two unknowns before turning her attention away and to her cousin. She charged and leapt up onto Rumia's back, sliding her legs around the green female's waist and her hands, finding their grip on both her cousin's breasts. Kyoka let a slight thrilled giggle escape her lips as she rested her chin down onto Rumia's shoulder.

"Cuz! I know ya ready for dis' but I'ma need ya to go on and walk straight towards dat der scroll there and get it. I'ma need a feel for what dez baboons can do. That's why ya just need to ignore em and keep on trucking! And for y'all two..." Kyoka started turning around. "I suggest y'all take a few long breaths cuz I reckon y'all gonna need my shield. I, uh, tend to get too excited!" Kyoka offered that vague threat to them, offering no other mention about it. What Yuki and Tashiro would begin to notice eventually is a faint fog rolling over their body and if they were taking long, drawn out breaths, the fog would thicken more and more. It wasn't mentioned but Kyoka's bubble barrier ability was using their exhaled breath to form a vaporous cloud over their entire body, not dense enough to hide the person but enough to notice something was there. This was Kyoka's safeguard measure for her real nasty abilities. Rumia even had one developing but Kyoka did not, being completely immune from not only her own but all types of chemical hazards to her body.

"I suggest y'all two try and get to dat der scroll, too! Cuz and I will go down the middle, y'all two decide to split or team is fine with me on dis here first bout! But, I reckon y'all should stick to the sides. Oh! And der is a fair chance dis here challenge is nuttin' more than a hoax and deez here guys ain't nuttin' but haints, but I ain't so sure! So dat is why cuz and I are going down da center, to test dat!" Kyoka still wasn't sure the best approach but it was time to start testing the limits of this test. "Alright, cuz... nuttin' aggressive just straight to dat scroll!"

@PlatinumSkink

Perfect and exciting! Now let's see what Erika wants to do next...
@PlatinumSkink

Ah, thank you so much!
@Pirouette Acknowledged. Nicely posted. Heh, better catch some Pokémon so that you can afford having Elana accompany, then. Haha. And, I'll calculate what the prices are. Perhaps I should put the average price-list somewhere easily viewable, like the first OOC post or the top of the characters section. Hm. OOC feels more sensible, but it'd be among a whole lot of other things there. Hah. Anyways. You haven't actually looked closely on the map yet, eh? Alright, then I don't yet need to type down all it contains.

... And sure, haha, I can make an effort to update the NPC list. So people actually look at it? That's nice to know. It's been on my mind, too, but regular posts and other things always took priority. Haha. But sure. I'll put it higher on the priority-list~

Yea. I will have my work cut out for me on this next and coming stretch! Gotta start earning the big bucks again... Yes please. Pricelist somewhere and NPC update sometime soon-ish. The price list is a definitely but the NPC list isn't as important. I check every now and then to get a refresher but for the most part, I remember a fair number of everyone's encountered NPCs.

Oooh right. I'll be expecting that map guide a bit later, Erika is trusting that it will be a great boon in adventures to come!

Too late I already hired the deep web hitman

Nobody that's skilled, I hope.

NaCl

Ooh salty, huh.

You should have said C8H11NO2... cuz you a dope, boi.

@PlatinumSkink

So I don't remember the prices of items so.. I just kind of low-balled what Erika needed. If Erika doesn't have a enough, just knock off the number of potions until she can afford it. Also feel free to have Erika stopped for events or Joshua and Ewan doing something or whatever. I left that open just in case!

Edit: Also if it is possible for you to do so, can you update the NPC list in the Chara tab?

Erika admired the guide as she scanned the fold-out document noticing the various details. Indeed, the trip through Mt. Strength appeared like a pathway with many opportunities, much like how Erika found Gibs due to being in the right place at the right time. Although there was some dissenting opinion rattling around in Erika's head at the thought of catching a Flying type, the thoughts were displayed in favor of finding who knows what Pokemon in Mt. Strength. That, and well... Dawnstones.

The guide's tip concerning the rarity of Dawnstones was quite disappointing to hear. Raremine and the Desert Mines sounded like the place Erika had to head off to next in order to raise Sno into what was possibly her most favorite Pokemon from her childhood. Sadly, she was already committed to heading the opposite way, both with her original pact with Claire and her two new friends, Joshua and Ewan. Though the outlook wasn't entirely grim, especially with that tease about finding one in Mt. Strength. Erika had especially perked up after that considering carefully how best to come through there for a moment to maximize her chance to find one of those stones.

There was time later to think about best approaching that problem later, however, for right now, Erika felt she had to square up with her guide. One thousand Pokedollars for the map and even though the guide never asked specifically for payment on the tip, Erika gave the full five hundred, holding herself to the promise she made earlier.

"This is perfect, thank you so much, Elana!" Erika beamed in gratitude for everything. "I will be sure to call you." Erika had only let those words stew for a moment before quickly adding with a slight blush returning to her cheeks "For guide help, sometime, I mean!" A nervous laughter left her lips thereafter as she went through the motions of digitally paying for Elana's service, deducting $1500 from her account, and then followed that with inputting Elana's number. Erika was already considering on asking Elana to help her through Mt. Strength, truthfully. She wanted to maximize her chances on finding a Dawnstone early and well, Elana left a bit of a charming first impression.

Erika tucked her guide document into her bag as well as her Pokedex. She also took the oppurtunity to readjust where her Pokemon and their Pokeballs were and slipped them onto her belt loop, making a slight quality of life adjustment.

Erika would wait for Joshua and Ewan to do accomplish anything they were looking to do in the Guide Service Building before asking them if there was anything else they wanted to do. In the course of accomplishing objectives, Erika wanted to swing by the item shop and make a few purchases to restock. In her mental list, she included buying 3 new Pokeballs and 5 potions in preparation of the next route.

Some time would be spent to grab something to eat but assuming there was nothing else, Erika would ask Joshua and Ewan if they were ready to set out. Erika would lead them to Route 5, ready to start the next leg in their adventure!
