Let's see. Just because. My two active characters in roleplays.

Wisp is a super-hero what manipulates light within a range of herself, making herself invisible and making illusions. ... Depending on the terrain, she could fare pretty well, dodging, resting up, striking from unexpected angles. If it's, like, Final Destination flat and they're all swarming her from all directions, maybe she can blind quite a few with lasers but otherwise she's screwed. If there's enough terrain for her to dodge, she can do that a lot more until she finally runs out of energy or accidentally bumps into an enemy which then grabs her and then she's done for. So, um. From 0 in the nightmare scenario to, like, 100+ depending on the terrain. She'd eventually run out of energy, though.

Mariette is a dark magical girl who makes portals. ... How are the normal people armed? If with their fists, then Mariette flies over their heads. She then just makes portals from under their feet to way too high into the air and watch them drop out of the skies like flies and dies. They cannot hurt her. That is, until she runs out of magic, then she falls and gets killed due to her low endurance. That said, she's kind of supported by a Mana Font, sooooo... ... ... 1,000 - 50,000? In a really broad range? She'd get really bored standing up there sending normal people to their crushing deaths for hours using her most low-cost portals. XD
That said, if normal people are allowed projectile weapons, the match will be a LOT shorter.
Those are stockings of some kind on Mariette's leg in that image, right? Not having had to care about it until now, heh.

As always, tell me if anything's wrong or needs changing. Hah.
Mariette
and Eli

Obviously, the universe couldn’t just allow her to hold her little ritual in peace. Even after it turned out the new girl was not, in fact, intending on interrupting during her kidnapping, someone else did. Now, Mariette had entirely expected Sonia to show up in some manner. The fact she had no counter for her was another thing entirely.

The sudden presence of the candlestick hurt far more than the fire that ignited on her dress, the pain causing Mariette to drop the mirror and jump out of the way before opening a portal right over her head through which water from the lake poured down over her and extinguished the fire on her dress. She was fine, the fire had burned off the dress of her shoulder showing her bare somewhat singed skin, but ultimately it was nothing that was going to stop Mariette. What WAS going to stop her, was Sonia’s candlestick, the light of which was causing the Shadows of Asengav to melt out of existence, descending into puddles where they left the area for Mariette to summon once again at a later time, but they couldn’t help stopping Sonia from saving Caroline.

… But it was too late. Asengav’s tentacles were curling around Caroline. Surely, even with her ability to switch dimensions, she couldn’t claim something in the grip of the interdimensional horror, could she? … Turned out, that didn’t matter, for a powerful earthquake which made it so Mariette had to stumble a bit to maintain balance.

‘Wah!’ Eli sounded out, stumbling back, focused on the scene since Sonia appeared. She was ready to fire, but that candlestick had even worse effect on her than it did on Mariette, preventing her from getting close.

The dust settled, and… gone? Dimensional rift, Sonia claimed? … Mariette glared at her, exhausted. Did that mean a third player was getting in on this? … Good lord, did Mariette not feel like that. She liked being the person in the background, manipulating things, and the thought that there was now someone watching and manipulating her was nothing short of humiliating. Sonia went off, and Mariette was left looking annoyed…

‘…!?’ … When suddenly a tentacle gripped her leg, pulled hard, and Mariette fell and hit her head into the shoreline.

‘M-mistress!’ Eli sounded out, worried once again.

‘…’ Oh. Mariette confirmed what had happened with a dull stare into the sky. From the mirror planted on the ground, black tentacles leaked out, one which had stretched and gripped her leg. Twice now, Mariette had summoned Asengav and given him nothing but humiliation. While reasonable, Asengav was still a short-tempered horror that hated when things went badly. It seemed Mariette was trying his patience, and he was most certainly the kind to show when he didn’t like when his champions weren’t performing. Slowly, the tentacle started dragging her towards the mirror, other tentacles moving to secure her from above…

‘… Keh,’ Mariette sighed in annoyance, and a portal to her Hammerspace Handbag opened, dropping something into her left hand. She held it forward to Asengav’s tentacles, which momentarily froze, inspecting what Mariette was holding to him.

A deep red crystal, the one Justine had given her, supposedly able to call forth a monster more powerful than anything she had seen earlier. Mariette had been saving it…

Asengav naturally understood what the item was, and accepted her offering. One of the tentacles circled the crystal, and the one on her leg gave one final hard squeeze before letting go and sinking back into the mirror with the crystal, leaving a black tentacle-shaped mark on Mariette’s leg, a visual warning to remind that she had tried his patience. As the tentacles vanished, the mirror returned back to the transparent colour of mirrors, and the presence of Asengav disappeared.

Hopefully that crystal was actually what Justine had advertised it as, or Mariette may be in trouble. As in, the kind of trouble that would probably be her end shortly.

‘Tsk,’ Mariette sounded out in annoyance as she slowly sat up and got up on her legs, Eli watching her with worried eyes. Mariette had been collecting injuries lately…

She had, since that meeting with Justine;
had her body and clothes singed from exposure to the explosion Justine triggered,
gotten bruises on her arms and her dress tattered from debris of a building falling on her,
a red mark probably on her neck where Caroline had so harshly gripped her,
sand and mud rubbed into her dress where she had been thrown into it,
had her right shoulder of her dress burned up and the skin under damaged,
her left leg probably lost its black stocking and a black tentacle-mark squeezed onto it,
and she had to soak herself earlier to put out the fire.

Mariette did not look happy.

‘Wake up Suwako and go help,’ she told Shade, giving her a glare with her not-eyepatched eye. Then, she turned to look at the scene.

Curie looked like the saw going to launch a fairly powerful attack, way over there. Mariette, while exhausted and in pain from the battle that had just taken place, prepared her magic to open a portal to take the attack when she blasted it and send it… at Doris will do, from a portal opening in her vicinity, and just in case it kept going have it continue on into Justine’s castle in that case. And if it wasn’t that kind of attack and it was just a widespread radiation-blast or something Mariette would attempt to open a portal as close to it as possible and put the other end to just launch the effects at the ground somewhere. In some way she wanted to portal that while she didn’t have to think about other enemies attacking her… hopefully.

She did still have small portals around her looking in a variety of directions just in case someone was intending on launching an attack at her.

Eli was still kind of recovering from her victory, and as such simply stood where she had been left, still tired and a little dazed. Mariette had not addressed her at all.
Okay. So the order you ran appeared to be first Aldo guiding the way, then Titania who ran as the rest did their talking, then Reina and Isolde who didn't write anything in particular about order, lastly Marwood took the rear. Yeah.

So, do you all prefer if the last map is in a hider or not?
Rioga winced to begin with when his daughter started shouting at him, narrowing his eyes and watching her take out her frustration by yelling at him. He did feel perhaps he deserved it, but… then she hesitated, and he was relieved that he got to share an embrace with his daughter at least one more time, his hands pressing onto her back one solid time, before he let go of her. In the end, she accepted the mission gracefully. This brought a smile onto his rough expression.

‘I’m proud of you, Reina,’ he spoke, truthfully, then let her run off. Sorry you had to experience this.

He nodded with pride at Isolde’s statement that she’d keep his daughter safe, and then later gave a small chuckle when she wanted him to pass a message on to Tilda. See who’s the better Wyvern Rider, hah.

‘I’ll tell her, but you still have a bit of growing to do before you can match our Wyvern Commander!’ he told her with a challenging smile, before he gave her a look filled with absolute confidence in her. ‘Grow strong, Isolde.’

He was happy Titania gave her help. Hopefully, her air would help assure their survival rather than her own demise should enemies catch up to them.

Marwood gave his protection, and Rioga nodded to him, pleased. Hopefully, this would help garner support in Renais, and Marwood’s strength should help immensely. … Oh? Rioga looked at him curiously as he was challenged for a later duel.

‘Heh. Your father was a worthy opponent indeed. When the time comes, Marwood, I’ll gladly give you a taste of what he contended with,’ the Emperor replied, his spirits somewhat lifted because of the exchanges that were had. When Marwood mentioned giving an apple to Fiona, there was a sudden twitch in Garric over there.

‘Oh, and here’s that apple,’ Garric said directed towards Fiona, his voice minutely amused by the coincidence, as he took out an apple from his inventory and was about to lob it to Marwood… when his eyes frowned a little, staring at the apple. Then, in one swift motion, he gripped his Steel Blade and sliced in an arc before him, a small piece of the apple flying up into the air. Garric sheath the sword again and gripped that same piece of apple with the sword-hand before it hit the ground, then brought it to his mouth and ate it. Chewing on it with a frowning expression and then swallowing it, he still looked unconvinced.

‘Okay, not poisoned,’ he remarked, before throwing the the remaining apple to Marwood. ‘Remember, all of you! The unseen Dark Eye Guild now numbers among your enemies! Always poison-test your food, always be vigilant for ambushes, people out there will want you dead from now on! Be careful!’ Garric stated, his excessive caution showing. Everyone knows not to take his constant warnings too seriously, but this time it may be warranted.

‘Alright, off with you,’ Rioga finished the statement to declare that they’d taken long enough now. As they hurried off, they could throw one more look at how the battle was developing, if they wished…

‘Now, then,’ Rioga turned to his two allies as the party headed off with the Fire Emblem. ‘Ansovald won’t reach us before Sion, so it’s him and his companions that we’re facing. Sion knows his common soldiers cannot match us.’

‘Reports state we are facing Sion, Nethanel and Rhodri,’ General Nero stated, serious as always. ‘We are facing two swords and an axe,’ he concluded, on his body was sheathed an axe and a lance in addition to his sword depending on his opponent.

‘Tsk,’ Garric clicked his tongue, ‘leave Nethanel to me. Sorry, neither of you two can hit him. You because axes, Emperor, while you’re simply too slow, General.’

‘Hm. I cannot defeat Sion, but I can defeat Rhodri,’ Nero continued from that. ‘It will be a long and hard battle, but I can take him. Meanwhile, Emperor, I would recommend you hold off Sion until we can come to your aid.’

‘Hah, if we’re talking length of battles, mine with Nethanel will be over in an instant. I can’t guarantee I’ll be the one standing after that,’ Garric warned, looking over the other two.

‘Hm, it will do,’ Rioga nodded, drawing his large, trusted Steel Axe in preparation for the coming conflict. ‘The kings shall clash. We shall see where the dust then settles…’

With that, the three drew held their weapons in calm stances, awaiting Sion’s arrival.

Inside a prison cell, a lone woman stood turned towards the wall, one hand raised to in front of her face, a magic image flickering in her palm. She was trying to scry what happened outside the cell… but the image kept flickering away. Disappointed, the woman let her arm fall.

‘… Hmpf, I can’t even do that…’

Outside, two guards stood ready, and a priest approached her on the outside of the bars.

‘Romilda. Even in these desperate times… You won’t admit that what you did was wrong?’ the Priest said, looking at her. ‘Jehanna’s forces are at our doorstep. We need every hand we can get.’

Romilda turned and gave the priest an irritated gaze, stubborn to the last.

‘I stand by my choice. It was possible that the research I was delving into could have saved us all, and for that to happen I needed cooperation. Cooperation I wasn’t getting, so I had to get it for myself. Given the choice of something similar, I’d do it all again,’ Romilda told, lifting her chin in defiance. Previously, she had controlled the minds of the people, and Rioga had fought a troublesome battle against people he had to avoid killing to defeat her… but defeat her he had, and a magical seal of elder magic had been put on her by esteemed researcher Egill, and now she had trouble outputting magic.

The Priest shook his head.

‘There’s no helping you, is there?’ the Priest said.

‘There is helping you, however,’ Romilda said, intensity in her voice, surprising the priest. ‘You have to get out of here. A band of criminals are going to-’

‘GET THEM!’

The Priest stumbled from the bars of the cell and the Knights prepared their lances, for a band of Mercenaries, Fighters, Soldiers and one Thief suddenly emerged from deeper within the prison, their blades coming to engage the Knights. As the Knights were outnumbered, the Fighters went first and smashed aside the lances of the Knights with Weapon Triangle advantage before the rest could all get their weapons to bear on the Knights, who were quickly dispatched by the band.

‘B-BA-’ the Priest tried to shout, but was quickly sliced down by the leader of the party, a strong, balding one-eyed man who held his head high and gleaming with self-proclaimed might, leading his savage band.

‘Nobody gets by Morag,’ Morag claimed, looking around at his company. ‘Oy! There was another Knight down the corridor! You three, get him so he doesn’t alert anyone, the rest will collect Romilda!’ So he shouted, and at the command the other three dashed to engage the Knight. Said Knight had walked over to check the noise, but realizing he couldn’t win he slowly turned to run, but the armour didn’t lend itself to speed and he had to rather quickly turn around to engage the three enemies coming for him.

Meanwhile, Morag turned his greedy eye to Romilda, and a “smile” spread under the mask he wore. Romilda held a blank expression, unimpressed with what she saw yet troubled by her situation.

‘Miss Romilda. The great and noble Ansovald would be quite dismayed should your life be claimed in battle, and as such hired us, the proud Spike Guild of Jehanna, to retrieve you through the secret passway. Don’t worry, we’re not going to leak any information to King Sion, not with the amount of gold Ansovald is providing. So we’re busting you out. Please, come with us, and embrace the life of luxury Ansovald provides,’ Morag said and looked plenty proud, the words numerous paygrades above what one would expect from him. Romilda kept looking unimpressed.

‘… I decline,’ Romilda told simply, turning her head away so she didn’t have to look at the foul man speaking to her. ‘I’d rather not be placed under the care of a man as disgusting as Ansovald. Not that it really matters, the Fire Emblem is going to be destroyed and we’re all going to die,’ she continued, blankly.

‘HA! That old wives’ tale?’ Morag mocked her. ‘PLEASE! That’s all tomfoolery and bullocks! It’s an enchanted stone made to burn and look important so that ancient Grado could look more important than it was! I thought a dark magician like yourself would know better! As if the destruction of a dumb rock could mean the destruction or saving of the world! It’s gonna do NOTHING! Ya hear me!? NOTHING! This world will NEVER CHANGE until the day we’re all overrun with monsters, better make the best of it while you can!’ Morag unpleasantly shouted out at her, causing Romilda to twitch her eyebrows. Even if it was by a total fool, being told she was wrong was irritating.

‘And your “I decline” means nothing, either. We’re not getting paid unless we return with you, so you’re coming with us. Heard your magic was sealed, eh? So you’ve got nothing to stop us with!’ Morag declared triumphantly.

‘Sure,’ Romilda shrugged. ‘Go ahead. You’re never getting through that door,’ she continued with insulting simplicity, causing Morag’s expression to twitch in rage.

‘… I’ll have you know. Ansovald didn’t say a word of in what STATE you’d arrive in, as long as you were alive. THIEF! ON IT!’ Morag shouted, and the Thief next to him darted to the jail’s door, bringing up a lockpick to try to get it open. The leader smirked under the mask, glaring at Romilda. Despite herself, Romilda tensed up. If they actually did get the door open, it was possible she was in deep trouble. It took a couple seconds… but then the Thief suddenly sunk down onto his knees before the door, hands stopping their movement.

‘… Huh? Why’d you stop?’ Morag asked, frowning. The Thief gave no answer. Morag violently grabbed the clothes of the Thief and threw him into the rock floor, glaring angrily down at him. ‘WHY’D YOU STOP!?’

… Except, looking down into the Thief’s eyes, it was as if all will had been drained out of him, all enthusiasm and desire to continue acting was just gone out of his soul, and he lay there immobile… Morag’s eye widened.

‘WHAT DID YOU DO!?’ he instead shouted at Romilda, the most obvious target. Romilda just smirked, somewhat relieved.

‘… Looks like it worked. Well done, young Shaman. Well done,’ she simply muttered, not for Morag’s ears to hear…

Running down the stairs to the prison, they were suddenly faced with the sound of conflict. A lone Knight was fighting three rough-looking enemies which clearly looked Jehannan in nature, but not as embellished as those associated with Sion. These were more savage, not as experienced or dangerous as those behind them, but nonetheless dangerous enemies. A quick look in the vision provided by the Tactician’s Stone told of the current situation.

‘There seems to be enemies in the prison. They aren’t in the same caliber or numbers as Sion’s troops, however,’ Aldo said, looking to Reina and the others. It was time to give a command.

Creep

Villain’s Meeting
Visible

Creep stopped short when Visage stopped, her eyes widening and looking straight at Visage behind her using her power without actually turning around. Wait, what? Visage was… leaving?

No, wait.

Don’t go.

I really need you, I’m way too scared to do this alone.

… As if she could say something that invited that much weakness among all these villains. Sheila had been mentally preparing to leave most the talking to actual villain Visage, while Creep simply existed. Despite herself, Sheila had balanced her confidence on the fact she had an ally, however temporary. Now, however, Visage was turning and leaving her alone. Panic brew inside her, brimming within a surface that could crack at any moment. Creep still went through her action of walking to sit at the place reserved for the Rockers, but a deep terror was swirling just within.

Now, of course she had considered that perhaps this was a trap by the Community to ensnare all the remaining villains in Denver at once. That was natural. Sheila would be extremely surprised if there wasn’t at least one Community drone here, which meant the Patriarch knew this meeting was taking place. However, Visage had her power blocked? Sheila knew Visage saw more than the average, a Thinker in some manner. Was it as simple as that her power clashed with another Thinker here, or would Visage have seen something she shouldn’t see if allowed to, and so her power was blocked?

Community trap increased significantly in likelihood. Sitting tense and still, Creep watched everyone around her with suspicion and fear, making note of the actions of every person she could see and suppress a shudder whenever anyone looked at her. Creep was making ready to vanish into thin air at any sign of a trap or an attack. She was even keeping a look-out just in case the bartender suddenly shot a beam from his eyes or something. He could be a trap, too.

Of course, to everyone else, Creep was just sitting still with a blindfold, face directed straight forward as if she was really blinded by the blindfold, maybe perhaps a bit tense.
@Pikmin Eye@Joshua Tamashii Since both of your posts were basically just moving on to the moments that actually mattered, I went ahead and moved you that little bit towards where your next actions can be a bit more major. Possibly. Depends. Hah.

Edit: Also, Eklispe, if you feel like making it so there is room for Dawkin to potentially run into this scene, if you don't mind waiting a while somewhere for it to grow late enough. If you and Joshua feels there's reason for it and that it could be amusing, heh.
@Pikmin Eye

Apparently deciding he was done here, Martin picked one of the carts (probably in the back) to be shoved through the caverns. Eventually Anton considered them ready to move, and the order was given to push the carts. Anton led the way, looking back and forth with Clauncher ready to fire at any point anything moved for them. It got to shoot some Bubble Beams at wayward Durants, which scattered as they advanced. Soon enough, there was an opening to the left, which they were going to walk straight past. Martin took the moment to slip away.

Now, it was impossible to slip away without being seen by at least the other grunts pushing the same cart, but it was at least possible to slip away without being seen by someone who’d actually act because of it. Martin could sneak off, and the confused rest of the crew could but assume he had something important to take care of and continued pushing, probably to report later why exactly they were falling behind the rest and possibly with nobody remembering the person that was missing. Regardless, Martin successfully slipped away and, back in the darkness of the Vast Underground, he threw out an Escape Rope.

-1 Escape Rope.

The rope went taut, connecting to seemingly nothing, and then Martin was pulled. The pull drew him straight out of the caves and transported him to right outside the keycard door which Trubbish had shown him. He was back among the factories of Worldedge City’s Industrial District, including this supposedly abandoned factory that Team Virtue had obtained for themselves. No people around, just a couple Grimers. So, what would Martin do from here on out?

Connected areas:
Route 10. South of Worldedge. A farmland employing multiple psychic Pokémon from Mt. Edge to help with the crops.
Route 13. West of Worldedge. A slightly disturbed route, which attracts electric Pokémon due to the proximity of the power plant.
Mt. Edge. The mystical mountain at the heart of Worldedge’s unnatural existence. Few people actually cross its fabled tunnels, most just teleport past.
Route 18. East of Worldedge. A calm stretch of land going from Worldedge to Witchpeak, part of the Allmass Cycling Circuit.

Amelia hurried in the garden, something which confused many of the bugs that had otherwise been enjoying a quiet evening. She retrieved all her Pokémon and ran for where she last saw Shedinja, and there the Shed Pokémon still resided. It had no reaction when Amelia picked it up, no indication that it felt any way or the other as it seemingly let itself be carried by the young girl. Then, Amelia headed to intercept the presence she had felt. On account of having felt it on a range, and that it didn’t exactly move quickly, Amelia had time to run and intercept at the door.

There, right outside the garden…

@Eklispe Yupp. This is some nice reactions. That last sentence is really good. Oh, and here's a reminder to everyone; because I need to give Titania here something to do, I will have no qualms wounding people if I see it suitable. Do keep your wits about. Haha. Nicely posted.

@Apollosarcher Yeah, nicely posted. I don't think you mentioned Fiona's name anywhere in the character sheet? That miiight be relevant if someone wants to check it, heh. Will get her an apple, heh.

Alright. My turn.
@Dusksong *goes to read it to remind self*

Hm. Yeah. Minus the part that Kalmia overslept, that should all still be applicable. Heh.
