Bio

Welcome to my Bio, random person. Yeah, my name is pretty redundant (Polaris - North Star, North... well north.)

Things you need to know about me?

I live in the Philippines. I'm a student and life gets a bit hectic so please understand if I suddenly become more sporadic when it comes to replies.

I'm involved in a lot of fandoms (mostly anime) and as long as it gets my interest, I'll join. My range is from free to casual [or well, as long as I can get it from the post I'm replying to]. I'm more of a fantasy kid than a slice of life but I think I can join something like that. I'm not much of a romance writer so I keep myself to PG-13 and not exceed anything else.

Will was about to shout something along the lines of 'Are you insane?' at Mason when Juliet already said it for him and pulling them back as well. He looked at Juliet. There weren't many times where he saw her scared, and nothing of those compared to what he saw right then and there. It wasn't just fear, it was also worry for their well being. He agreed with her completely but before he could make a move to forcibly drag Mason away, the lifeform had leaped up and slammed its arm a few feet in front of them.

The impact had sent them all flying backwards. He felt the cold hard ground as he landed on it... roughly may I add. He groaned as he sat up. He had landed on his belly, his axe safely in his hands but the basket and its contents were all sprawled somewhere in front of him. Whoops. It wasn't painful, just shocking, so he was able to recover quickly from it. His eyes landed on Juliet, a few inches away from him, who was having a hard time breathing, having taken the full force of the impact.

There was something inside Will that snapped. He wasn't, by all means, a noble man. He's a liar and a thief. Others would call him a coward too, since fights aren't his forte. But he does hold some people dear to his heart. And he doesn't like it when those people get hurt.

However, the rational part of his brain is still telling him to run. "That thing is big... and a little fast." He tightened his grip around the handle of his axe as he stood up and took a deep breath and let it out. It was stuck. Perfect. "I'm pretty pissed off now. Rule me as insane, but I'd rather take care of this problem now than later." Besides, that thing would keep on chasing after them until they reached a dead end and it would be too late if that happened.

He was definitely more physically fit than his two friends, and the oldest among all of them, so he decided that he should make a move. All those running training as a thief really pays off. He sped towards the beast. It was a lot taller than him but it was currently bent down thanks to its arm being stuck in the debris. He aimed to swing the axe at any part of its exposed body and quickly jumping back to keep his distance. He'd rather gauge its reaction to attacks first than just blindly swing his axe with no results.

Zaru the Chimchar

Zaru listened as his friend ranted on about guild rules. Yes, that is true. It was against guild rules to go on missions alone. It was the main reason why he stayed behind, helping around in town instead of going on mystery dungeons most of the time. Because he didn't have a team. "For you information, I was doing just fine. It's not that hard out here, especially for a fire type like me." He pointed out.

But he grinned. "Thanks anyway. Great to know I actually am part of a team now. It makes things easier." He then looked around. "I don't know about you but I'm all ready to continue my search for Growlithe. And I'd rather find him quickly so Pachirisu would stop worrying about it." He continued, ready to move out to continue his mission. It wasn't about the money. It was helping the client.
Just a heads up, Trevor hangs around the pups too much and would most likely watch over them with whoever the pup watcher is.

— The Imperial Great Hall, The Conclave —

"A pleasure indeed." He repeated the phrase as he shook his hand before slipping into silence.

Brendan smiled back as the other prince shook his hand and then introduced himself. The blond prince gave no reply to whether or not he preferred being called a 'North-Western prince'. He didn't dwell on the question at all but the look on his face would give a suffice enough answer of 'no'. Leaning back on the wall behind him, he began splitting his attention between the two princes and his own thoughts and observations. Since Haytham had questioned Ezran directly, he didn't need to say anything for now. He made sure to listen closely though so he wouldn't look like he was tuning them out.

Haytham Avion. A prince from the South, and as mentioned by the prince earlier, in a desert country. He had rarely visited the kingdoms in the south making it hard for him to remember who exactly Haytham was. Although it was easy once he remembered House Avion was from Ohanior and he had heard of Isaiah talking about how there was only one heir there. A boy sent to the Conclave and left someone else on the throne when his father died. It was an interesting story but he never knew the face of the male who was carrying such history on his shoulders, and now here he was. But Brendan decided not to dwell on that. Politics be damned for now; this was social interactions and he didn't want to talk about Kings and Queens yet. Rather he's not mentally prepared.

His eyes caught onto the blonde princess that he considered his acquaintance. Aleandra had slipped past them and headed outside. Brendan had half a mind to excuse himself and follow her out, but ultimately decided against it. There were other times for them to finally get to know each other. He then instinctively started to search for the white haired male in the sea of nobles that were inside the Great Hall but no such luck. Perhaps he had already gone outside? Or he just wasn't looking hard enough. Rhelissa was out of sight too. Anareliea was another story as well. Perhaps the princess had gone back to preach about Gaea to other nobles? Or try to win some noble's approval for her to get on the throne?

He then looked back at the two conversing princes before he felt a tap on his shoulder. Rivellia beckoned for him to come closer before whispering something to him. With a mere nod, she had departed as if to search or to collect for something. Whatever it was, it didn't seem it would be revealed until she comes back.

Will nodded at Mason as he spoke and then followed close behind, guarding the rear. The last thing he wanted was that lifeform sneaking up on them. While it was highly unlikely, he was still cautious about it. Juliet was up front and Mason was in the middle. Will would usually say that it is a bad idea for a girl to take up front since there were two boys, but he trusted Juliet could take care of herself. Hopefully, his hunch isn't wrong.

Juliet's plead for help and the big block of building slamming down on the ground near them snapped him out of his thoughts. "Tch." He muttered to himself, not liking where this was going. Just by what happened, he could gauge that whatever it was was several times stronger than them. And fighting it with a basket in his hands wasn't the best idea, he could guess. Two options. Fight or flight. He could see that the end of the path yielded nothing since this lifeform was trying to break a new exit. So maybe they could run? But then where would they run.

"Take it down or run away? We can probably slip past it you know? It's big, so it's slow. Unless the laws of physics don't apply here and I'm sure as hell it does." Will told the two, instinctively stepping back when he heard the stomping. Thief's rule of the thumb? Run away when faced with something stronger than yourself. But he can't leave the two here.
Julio Taiyou

Julio reached the diverging paths but before looking at them, he took a peek at the other students. It seems he was one of the students that got a good head start. He wasn't going to complain. Julio scanned each path. The left leading to a Savannah, the middle towards a forest, and the last one was a deep canyon. Given his monkey faunus heritage, it was obvious what the male would've picked. Trotting towards the forest, he looked up to the trees that towered above him. A lazy grin made its way to his face as he folded back his weapon and then began climbing the tree with speed and precision.

Reaching the top in what seems to be record speed, he unfolded his weapon and then scanned the surroundings. Once he deemed it safe, he began traversing through the forest using the solid branches of the trees. He would occasionally stop and look around, as if making sure he was going to the right way and also trying to locate any sort of enemies around him. He highly doubted that any of the students would think of attacking each other, and the Grimm shouldn't be attracted to him at all since he wasn't really all that negative right now, but he couldn't be too careful right?

He would sometimes reach for the duty belt wrapped around him, feeling the dust crystals inside. It was all still there, thankfully, and this should help him in this test. He is hoping that it won't fail him when he needs it the most though. Not only does it hurt, but it also puts him at a disadvantage.

Zaru the Chimchar

The Chimchar had grown comfortable on the branch of the tree when he heard a voice. He looked around, body ready for a fight. He wasn't thinking it was some ghost; he was thinking it was an enemy Haunter who was messing with him. The haunting didn't continue though. And Milton popped out of nowhere prompting Zaru to almost use Ember on him in complete surprise. However, once he placed a name on the face, he calmed down.

"Ah, it's only you huh?" It was a passive response but his neutral face broke into a smirk as he climbed down to meet with the Zorua. "Thought you headed home. What are you doing here?" He asked curiously. He thought Milton wasn't interested in doing missions, especially since the guy didn't look too happy getting his badge. Not that Zaru was complaining, he was glad to have a partner in this mission, especially since he's already exhausting himself so he took a lot of breaks.

Will sighed in response as they yelled back their reply. He really couldn't hear their conversation, only unintelligible gibberish in place of their words. He then pushed himself off the wall he was leaning into as Juliet trotted over to him, with a disappointed look on her face. Will returned it with a lopsided grin and a shake of his head. While he is, at times, part of the reason why Mason keeps on getting flustered, he does sometimes grow tired of it. Seriously, Mason should've developed some sort of defense mechanism for this by now. But hey, apparently not. So he'll just have to live with it.

Once Mason would reach earshot, he would say. "So you two done with whatever it is you're doing? Let's go?"
@Ojo chan 42

I know right? But hey, even yokais need to stand up to a force they deem dangerous.

Besides Akira won't try to eat her... probably... maybe jokingly though...
It had been a normal day for travelling for the cat-turned-yokai. While he is planning to take revenge on Anjou, he isn't in a hurry to do it. After all, he's trained for this long. He still had a long life ahead of him, and so did Anjou. There wasn't really any rush to get to him. He was in the heavily yokai populated forest. This was one part of the yokai world where he isn't very familiar with. Rather he knows very little about those living in here. But his yokai aura warned them to stay away, even in his human form. A bakeneko isn't very feared in the yokai world considering that there are a lot more that are more powerful. But he was older than most, more experienced and more powerful. Anyhow, he reached this clearing and he suddenly felt like there was not a single yokai in there... or anywhere really. It was odd, peaceful yes, but unnerving.

Setting his eyes on the shrine, Akira stopped a few meters away from it. Cocking his head to the right, he began to analyze the shrine in front of him. He brushed up on his knowledge about different shrines of minor gods and goddesses but nothing came to mind. But something surfaced from his mind.

"Kado Shrine." He muttered out loud. Keeping his weapons close to him, he approached said shrine. Despite being a yokai, he never was bothered when he entered shrines. Heck, he even sleeps at them when given the chance. Well considering that almost everything is under Anjou's rule, he shouldn't really be surprised. Upon getting closer, he sensed another presence and turned to the human. The human was meditating. Although he would normally try to do something to the human just for laughs, he held back his mischievous personality and sit down, near enough to see the human but far enough to not be a bother.

This looks like a good place to rest anyway.
