Current Projects/Freelance work

  • I am a voice talent and script writer for Faerun History
  • I have a much smaller personal Youtube channel that I use to make videos on various subjects. Only been making videos for 2 years, but it's growing!
  • I'm the host of a Science Fiction & Fantasy Podcast where I interview authors of the genre.

Interests (Includes but is not limited to)

  • Writing/Reading (Love writing and I own too many books)
  • Video Games (Been a gamer for close to 23 years now)
  • Working Out/Martial Arts (Wing Chun/Oyama Karate mostly. Some historical swordplay as well.)
  • History (Military History is my specialty)
  • Zoology
  • Art (Mostly Illustrations. Used to be good. Am picking it back up)
  • Voice Acting/Singing
  • Tabletop Gaming (Started late in the game. Been at it for 3 years. I was the kid who bought the monster manuals and D&D books just for the lore for the longest time. I've played 3.5e, 5e, Star Wars D20, Edge of the Empire, PF, and PF2.)
  • Weaponry of all kinds
  • Anime (mostly action/shonen. DBZ & YYH being my favorites)
  • Movies (Action/War/Drama films being my go-to)
  • Music (Rock of all kinds, as well as historical folk songs, sea shanties, pub songs, a bit of classical music, etc)
  • Guitar (am learning to play, but being left handed makes it challenging)
  • There's more but if you care enough you can PM me :P

Roleplay F.A.Q.

  • Fantasy, Sci Fi, and Historical are my genres. Fantasy being my favorite and Sci Fi/Historical being close seconds.
  • Advanced / Nation / 1x1 / Casual (only in certain circumstances)
  • I generally write at the 'Advanced Level' meaning 4+ Paragraphs with good grammar.
  • I am usually busy with many projects and RPs, but if you wish to do a 1x1 with me, you'll need to present your case. Those I already do it with have my trust as a Roleplayer.
  • I love many, many fictional universes so me trying to list them all is an effort in futility!

I guess the tags in my thread didn't work. I set it up last night.
OOC is up!

Commodore Norrington raised an eyebrow as he regarded her. "No doubt your gender has something to do with the stories that surround you. But it won't keep you from justice, nor the gallows." he told her. Norrington pulled her a small walk away to have the irons chained on her.

"Commodore, I cannot agree with this!" Abigail Ashe said as she scurried to follow. Gillett began to chain Vivienne up none too gently as the other men stood rigid, rifles hefted just in case. The young miss Ashe found herself just beside the pirate.

"Get away from there!" Elizabeth said to Abigail. The girl was not listening. "Pirate or not, she saved my life. Does that mean nothing to you, Commodore?"

"This woman has spent her life pillaging and murdering. One good deed does not make up for a lifetime of wickedness." The Commodore replied, sympathy in his eyes for the young woman.
@FetzenWe all feel like that sometimes. And people post different. Sometimes you have a post where your character has a shit ton of speculation and then you find yourself writing 5 paragraphs while only saying 3 sentences. Sometimes you just say three sentences and describe how they're feeling, and it might not NEED to be very descriptive and it becomes 2 paragraphs. They might be the kind of writer, or have the kind of character, who excels in writing action scenes instead :)

A lot of it depends, but you're good, bud.

By the ways guys, thanks for being patient. We are at the final battle now!

Welcome Adventurer's of Faerun! To the Moonsea! This RP will be rife with exploration, magic, combat, character interactions, as well as intrigue. It's my goal to narrate a story for you, but I greatly encourage you to explore where you wish (as a group of course, most of the time). If you choose to go to Vaasa and the frontier, there is plenty of opportunities to partake, just as there is if you decide to sail south to the Sea of Fallen Stars! To begin with, we shall find ourselves at Hulburg. You will all be apart of a group that has been chartered to seek out Tomb Robbers in the Highfells, for such acts are forbidden by Hulburg law. Not out of respect, but because the dead have been known to awaken if disturbed. Lingering magic from Aesperus the Lich 'King in Copper,' and previous ruler of the wasteland Thar keeps some of the dead from resting. You are tasked with exploring the High Fells and finding the culprits.

If you've been tagged, you've automatically got a spot in this Campaign I am creating.

You cannot put character sheets in the CS section until they are accepted by me. You can however, post 'Work in Progresses' in the OOC.

Use The Forgotten Realms Wiki for information. Try to use the lore before the year 1372. This will be just before the area of Upheaval. Also, I encourage you to PM me or reach me on skype/discord if you wanna chat (just ask for me info if you wish). I'm always here to help with lore and character creation!

Like the stats, let's not use levels for character creation. However, if you're wanting to know certain spells to use if you're, say, a sorcerer/wizard. I'd say go no higher than level 4.

"A cottage." he said softly as he guided Brogach forward, one hand resting on the Elk's neck. He hadn't expected something so wholesome and cozy looking to be where a mysterious letter would lead him to. Then again, he'd not exactly gotten a mysterious letter before.

Many things that happened in and around cities were often strange to Calanon. He'd sometimes make short 'visits' by simply making camp near city walls and simply watching the way people went about their lives. But his biggest experience with civilization were frontier towns and Elven Villages.

"Aye, been here for years. I'm thinking you'll like Mr. and Mrs. Carish." Salven said. He gave a grin to the Elf as they walked. "They'll answer all of your questions. I'm sure you have some. Even a quite type like you." Calanon gave a nod at that, and Brogach snickered and shook his great head.

They made it to the bottom of the small downward slope of the hill, leading to the quaint front door. "Stay here Brogach. I'll be right inside." Calanon said to his friend in soft Elvish as he stroked his steed's neck, then let him go. "No need to knock, boy." Slaven said, opening the door to let him in. Calanon gave a smile to the man, amused that so many men called him boy when he was probably Salven's senior in years.

Calanon strode inside to find himself in a warm, cozy home fit for a fair sized family. "It smells good in here." he said, his tone amiable and friendly. It was then he noticed Rayadell standing just beside him. "Oh, hello." He put his palms together and gave her a small bow in greeting.
He found himself smiling quite often when speaking to her. It'd only been a short while, and it was only now a small bit past noon, but he quite enjoyed having her around. "Anytime." he told her once he swallowed a bit of the food. He still chewed a bit of it idly, but otherwise he had only needed a quick bite. Her comment on the plate and chainmail was true enough, to a point.

"It's not as heavy as some make it out. But wearing it all day? You'll be tired as hell at the end of a march." he said, his hand leaving the mule's reins and sliding over the beast's furred neck to keep it comfortable. He'd learned long ago to take care of work animals. He'd always had a soft spot for them, and people's livelihood depended on them as well. "I've only been in one actual battle, near two years ago. Some of the Knights on foot had been walking all day and were even ordered to sit down behind the front lines, to keep them fresh for the fight if they were needed."

"Perhaps we can exchange stories over drinks then, after this job is through. You have me curious, Markus." The words from Valerie's mouth had him turn his head to regard her. He'd not given much though to it, to be honest, but it was at that moment he noticed that Valerie was actually quite pretty, as well as interesting. He'd learned after a campaign or two to never gallivant about like his mischievous Elven friend up ahead. Women mercenaries would go through the same trials as he, and they should be treated as such. But Valerie seemed quite easy to talk to, for some reason. Maybe it was because they had similar backgrounds, but truth be told he had abhorred the high class women back at his home. But she escaped the same as me... He admitted he was curious too. "I'd like that." he told her.

As they exchanged words, the terrain sloped ever upwards, curving this way and that. With the latest curve, north east was now on their right, gnarled trees on that side of the road growing a tad shorter and more spaced out than the thick treeline to their left. Shadows intermingled with the illumination of the day from under the looser canopy, and if someone were to look deeply into it, they would swear all of the ubiquitous dark and light would play tricks on the eye. Past that, there was a short drop that led to a slope that declined downwards into the lowlands.

It was from there the Warcries were heard. Primitive shouts and roars from the downward slope echoed through the trees, and humanoid shapes within the shadows began to grow clearer as the monsters raised their weapons and continued to shout. Half of the Caravan jumped at the sudden noise, the wagons halting and the crossbowmen now making sure their armor piercing missile weapons were cocked and loaded. A few Rangers that had signed on were stringing their bows, trying to keep their fingers from shaking. Markus suddenly grabbed the reigns to the mule, and gave Valarie a look of calm warning, though there was trepidation in his dark eyes.

He led the Mule back to one of the Dwarven workers on the wagon behind them. A few of them pulled the tarp off their wagon and pulled out crossbows and Axes they had stored with the spices. They began to load their crossbows with heavy bolts. Most men would need to use their foot and body weight to do it, but Dwarves were known for their strength and they did it by hand. "Looks like a scrap commin'" one of the Dwarves said to Markus as he grabbed the reigns.

"It might be a big one. Stay on the Wagon, fellas. Probably best to let them come to you." he told them. The yellow bearded one gave a nod and aimed down his crossbow. Another brown haired one donned chainmail and hefted a well made poleaxe. "Worry not lad, we'll handle ourselves well enough. You and the lass stick close."

"I know my contract." Markus chuckled. He knew the Dwarf meant that they could survive easier together, but the fact was Markus and Valarie had been assigned to guard that specific section of the Caravan. He still marveled that he'd found the ability to grin before a certain life or death situation was to occur. It was probably who he was speaking to. He might be more acquainted with Elven culture, but Dwarves had a down-to-earth quality about them. Well, that makes sense.

He turned around and unsheathed his Hand-and-A-Half sword. It looked well used but sharpened, with a pommel (and even the first 4 inches of the long blade) wrapped in leather. He gestured to the other side of the wagons with a nod to Valerie. "C'mon." he told her, slipping past the Mule he had handed them, and vaulting over the wooden supports that connected to two other mules to make it to the other side. @Luminosity
"Keep your guns on her men. Gillet! Fetch some Irons." Commodore Norrington ordered, an iron grip still on the woman's arm. He pulled her sleeve back more to reveal her distinguishing tattoo. "Well well..." he said, letting her go for a moment and eyeing her dangerously. "Vivienne Black, isn't it?"

Behind him, a few of the men widened their eyes at the mention of the pirate's name. Gillet the Leutinent was making his way back as they spoke. Elizabeth seemed quite perturbed she was within the presence of a pirate, even if that one had saved Abigail's life, her friend.
