"I love you." He told her. "And I fell in love with you. All of you. Your cleverness, your jokes, the way you roll your tongue when you speak, your insane talents, even the way you turn things upside down," he couldn't help but give a laugh, and he pressed forward more earnestly. "Listen. You just be yourself around me, do you understand? Ulric knows I'll stand by you...always."
Cyrdic's smile was gone, and he gave her a nod of surety, as if he was swearing fealty to some war mongering Nordland lord bent on invading the chaos wastes. He actually had to keep himself from saluting with a fist over his chest. "I promise." @Penny
1996 I think, but I wanted to give the laws time to take effect. 2001 was the latest date in the particular report I was looking at. Its actually slightly lower if you use more modern numbers. Approximately 10 murders per million.
