Facts about Princess Vana snd Snow Elves

Twins are rare in Snow Elf families and often seen as a great blessing due to children being harder to conceive and such especially valued. Making the decision to send her away an hard one and hopefully one that can be reversed.

As for Gideon the Ninth: scions from 8 great houses are invited to the First House to study. The First House turns out to be mostly empty and ancient, and the "studying" involves solving obtuse puzzles, stabbing each other in the back, and generally squabbling.
