Being truly on my own is a bit of a weird feeling. It's never really happened.

Let it never be said that sometimes extreme brevity isn't the most appropriate post, though. Everything is a tool.

Does that mean I'm accepted?

I had a silly idea. The person I was talking to seems to have liked the silliness. So... here... we... GO.

Alice Marlowe

This was, without a doubt, the single most pathetic specimen of humanity Alice had ever met. First random vandalism escalating to a risky fight and yet, when she lost, Irene had called on backup to threaten civilians. A centipede had more moral backbone than this nutjob--and yet there wasn't really much choice but to let her go. That wasn't to say that the white-haired girl was gentle about it; the feeling of hair slithering backwards over stab wounds before giving a push couldn't be pleasant.

Not seeing any reason to stick around, she started walking towards the crowd in general. What were these idiots going to do to stop her? The guns wouldn't work and any attempt to get in close would show that she was more than a pretty face. Letting someone like that go... it left a bad taste, and flooring one of her buddies would be fine by Alice.

For now, she was going to get dinner. They were welcome to try and stop her if they really wanted.
I'll get to taking over the GM fight tomorrow, yeah.

Assuming direct control?
@Jay Kalton@tanderbolt Well, done my parts. :p
Saotome Ami

"Your principles won't do you any dead if you get killed. You'll never find who's responsible from a pot of ashes," the vampire pointed out. Not that she should really be one to speak, due to taking part in deadly fights for no better reason than 'because innocent people might get killed, but it wasn't like there was some overarching goal for her to achieve. She'd lived a normal lifespan more than seven times over, too. "People... this is the only place I know for people to just meet up unless they go straight to each other's houses. Or they could go to any public place; that's how I used to end up looking after mages in past rituals."
One that doesn't have the big plot hole 'why didn't they just shoot the heroes?' People are easy targets compared to rope. :T
@VitaVitaAR
Would you prefer the evil clan of elitist warriors walk up with safety scissors? How about give some high fives to the Heros while there at it? I am joking entirely of course and that was supreme levels of sarcasm, but what about people with magical flaming swords fighting hair-wielding people on a beach with a mech trooper and (once) a giant crocodile monster in Japan makes sense?

I think it's the whole 'undefined mooks effortlessly get the better of proper characters, including having unnatural aiming ability' part. One post there's nothing, next there's guys in the crowd, third there's NPC snipers in position to effectively shoot ropes from beyond reach with perfect aim. It's not even the 'in character' implausible; it's the 'does this remotely make for good reading' implausible. Deus ex machina.
Had (and still have) a cold, which seems to be delaying actually writing. Sorry about that.
@Raineh Daze
Well sure, but would the bullets cut through those strands that stabbed her?

... whilst it technically would, it seems like a rather implausible solution to the whole situation. Especially with armour-piercing sniper rounds being carted around and used from about 20' away at most.
