hell week, holidays are definitely coming down hard. i'll try to get things up before i fly out on the Eve, if not i'll open up a gdoc while i'm in the air and kill the 3 hours productively. I would tonight, but all the caffeine i've had to get through the past two days is pulling my brainstem down into my scapulae

"Hmm..." the white-haired goddess said, eyeing the small girl as they made their way through the forest. Whilst the batsquirrelfox things were interesting, it just wouldn't do to have their guide collapse whilst they were still travelling. And it would be inefficient if they, a collection of deities, stopped whilst the sun was still up. Especially when you were going around with a sun god. Therefore... "Up you go~"

Not giving Flora any time to resist, the war goddess grabbed the small girl and half-threw, half-spun her in what looked to be something incredibly dangerous... and probably was some modified, gratuitous wrestling at that. But when she stopped, the girl was firmly parked on her shoulders. Albeit probably befuddled.

"Gentle with the horns, okay~? Just keep pointing the way."

For Tyaethe... well, there's the obvious stuff with being a vampire and the sun, the need for blood, and the part where her innate physical capabilities (flexibility excepted) are kind of in a bad state without boosting them. And there's a whole pile of thoughts that can lead to various issues if prodded.

The interesting and less expected one is that she's actually a pretty bad team fighter, for all the experience, though it's not so obvious to tell. Fighting in a melee alongside people or having to outright fight with them? It's not her specialty, she'd rather be outright protecting them or fighting with people who can definitely handle themselves against all comers and just go off and fight solo. Something of a knight errant, this one.

Standing back from the fight, it was good to see that it was going well--the Iron Roses were holding off the interlopers fine, even as they were forced to reorganise, and set back from the danger... well, she would rather be fighting, but it gave the vampire an excellent position to keep an eye for anything else they might be trying. If the boars thought that darkness would buy them any cover to get something into position, they would be sorely mistaken, and any attempt at stealth would be immediately called out.

More of her interest, however, went to Haelstadt. She knew nothing about the intimidating black knight, but that sort of swordplay... that was someone that could keep up properly and make a fight exciting. A knight that could cut through armour like it wasn't there could make for an interesting challenge. Maybe Veileena could be persuaded into allowing an exhibition match...? Under the guise of training for the Iron Roses and some sort of compensation for dragging them out here...
