Vera was about to reply the other blonde female after she had thanked her for her compliment, when it suddenly seemed like a shadow was cast over the fountain. It didn't look like it was made by something solid, however. It looked more like... Vera glanced up, her eyes widening in alarm. Water?!

The event that followed happened way too quickly, and the next thing Vera knew, she had been washed several feet away from her original position near the fountain. She quickly pulled herself to her feet, swiftly and expertly gathering her wet golden hair in her hands before wringing the water out. She turned back to check on Lyra to find that she, and her violin were both alright. Annoyance clearly written on her face, Vera strode back to the fountain in time to hear the information given by the headmaster. It looked like the rest of these kids were first-years as well. Was this how announcements were made at the academy? She should have known that there was a catch to this beautiful school.

Vera then jumped when one of the girls present suddenly screamed out loud, the surrounding water which she hadn't noticed was slowly turning to ice almost immediately freezing at the same time. The Light Elementalist was stunned at this reaction. She had expected the others to be irritated or slightly upset, but this girl seemed practically traumatized. Her scream and act of freezing the water around her appeared to have frightened another student - a platinum blond boy who had started crying.

Her eyes darted from one sobbing teen to the other, before attempting to gently address them. "Oh my, calm down loves, it- it's just water..."

Vera's attention then turned to an adult man in heart boxers who had started speaking. He introduced himself as 'Professor Manilow', before collapsing headfirst into the fountain. She didn't know what to think anymore. The entire situation was just too strange. One of the students, another teenage boy, rushed over to help the teacher, but he seemed to be struggling and called out for help. Vera snapped out her thoughts, trudging over to assist him, though, she didn't prove to be of much help in getting the teacher out either. She urgently glanced around, hoping for someone else to lend a hand.

Xavier pulled his head off of his desk, waking to the sounds of chaos that seemed to be coming from below. He could also faintly make out someone cursing at the headmaster. What in the world was going on, and how long had he even been out for? He made his way over to the window of his office and drew the blinds open to look over the square below, only to see the aftermath of Kano's 'prank'. There was water everywhere, and it appeared that everyone in that area had been drenched. He spotted an obvious victim, who was hanging by his pants from one of the fountain spires. Manilow... of course. He and the headmaster had quite the rivalry going on. The science teacher let out a snort at his plight, thankful that he was higher up and escaped the disaster.

Xavier then turned his attention to the other unfortunate victims. The students that were caught in the shower didn't look too pleased. Two of them even looked extremely distraught. Oh boy, look what you've done, Hargor. Seems like you've really upset a couple of them. He was rather intrigued by what one of them had done to the surrounding water. Ice? That's interesting...

He couldn't help but cringe when he saw Jordan slip out of his pants, revealing his heart boxers. He watched as the gym teacher tried to address the students, feeling even more relieved that he wasn't down there with the rest of them, though, he immediately grew concerned when Jordan fell face-down into the water. He was going to drown if he wasn't pulled out of there soon. Xavier saw a couple of students try to help him, to no avail. He had spotted Hargreaves hovering above the place, but wasn't sure if she had noticed the urgent situation. He thought it best to make his way down in case his help was needed, and promptly left his office for the square.

It's actually raining over here, how fitting, and the name Kano keeps reminding me of Mortal Kombat...

Vera watched the teacher leave, and then turned to Lyra with a reply. "Oh, I would love to!"

She chatted with Lyra as the both of them wandered practically aimlessly across the school grounds, occasionally taking interest in a few facilities that they passed. Vera appreciated having someone with her to check the academy out and exchange opinions with, though, she hoped to meet more people along the way, especially other first-years so that they could all begin this so-called journey together. There was always safety in numbers.

"Ooh, we should totally check out the specific places meant for the students of each element one day. You people get the roof, that is so awesome! It does actually makes sense though. The strange thing is, I heard that the light students don't get their own place. I mean, that seems really unfair right now, but perhaps there's a reason for it. Like..."

Vera then trailed off as they emerged into an open area with fountain that seemed to be its main feature. There were a bunch of teenagers hanging around the fountain, and a couple of them were even playing in the water.

"Do you think they're first-years too?" Vera asked her redhead companion, before a grin crossed her face. "Let's go say hi."

She approached the group of teenagers with a gentle wave of her hand. "Hey there! Are all of you new as well?"

Vera then turned to one of them who stood out due to her current clothing. She had her pink-blonde hair in a ponytail, and she seemed well prepared for some time near the fountain. "I absolutely love your top, darling."

Looks like the floodgates have suddenly opened in the IC. I'll try to get Lyra and Vera there, unless @Zelosse interrupts the fun first lol. I can only post in half a day.

@GranmotherPandi Eh no worries, I have a feeling this is going to take awhile, if it ever takes off.

@Pseudo Stygian Guess they're off to the courtyard, if there isn't a time skip by then. I'll leave some time for others to post before that :)

@GranmotherPandi The abilities part seems fine, although there's no need to be concerned about a certain dress style that isn't modern. Do remember that these heroes lived hundreds of years ago. Think medieval fantasy, with armour and robes. Do also note that there would be more focus on the modern teen characters since they're constantly around, while the Auris heroes only appear when they're summoned by the teens.

@GranmotherPandi Hi there! An image would be best, but I'd accept a description if it's sufficiently detailed. Real-life pictures are acceptable, though anime/digital art is preferable. The use of avatar makers would be fine too. I know I'm using them haha.
