Nice Rango reference!

I have to point out a detail that I guess I didn't clarify well enough in the OP- the only moving parts of a cristol is the trigger, and any cristol only holds one crystal at a time; the crystal holds so many charges of a single spell (normally, put in that), like wands and such in D&D. It would only make sense to carry 2 or 3 spare crystals at least, twice that for martial types.

You've offered up some good balancing traits, how do you plan to randomize the effects? Is "backfire" among the risks?

Of course, and others. I was just going to like, set up a wheel or some dice or something with effects on it.

And the Roulette could still work the same even with that knowledge. Random BS go!

Or could go the route of it being a unique and unusually design weapon.
Should make an Email thread that doesn't have notifications that we have to check compulsory
I shall tip my hat, one legend to another.
I'll admit theres a lot of interesting things going on in this, but find myself lost as to what exactly is being pitched or what's the purpose.
This is interesting, but I am having an issue figuring out what is the purpose of the departments? What goal are they ultimately trying to enforce here?
I wonder if I could meet Fraudkuna or a similar character in this universe. But interested

Become the Fraud you were always meant to be.

Also, yes interested

I do, as a matter of fact. I was waiting to send it out with the email post but this is it:

This just made me want to actually fill it out cause why not
Yeah, frankly its a weird angle. Out of everything that a terrorist would go for an exploratory science vessel is...not up there.
To be fair, it would be a rather extreme start to... like, why would someone even want to sabotage it?

Click, click, click, the rhythmic sounds of metals and glass. “One, two, three… four.” Each noise, each word, vaguely on rhythm with the drums of his record.

Richtofen was particularly about the sets of vials, about how each was paired with a scalpel in the shelf across the room. Each in sets, each available to be readily grabbed and used. Another click, another preparation, another tally on the inventory form.

Everything seems to be in order, except all of the disorder. Whoever stocked this ship clearly had no sense of organization, but the art of such was a proficiency he had and enjoyed.

But even this stalwart doctor had to take a moment to lean back in the chair, gazing out of the window. One he was against. The patient room could have one, but this was the medbay! The amount of exposure could ruin his tests or medicines. At least he had the Highpoint that there was none in surgery.

A swell of guitar reminds him to keep at his work. With this much crew aboard, surely one will be by soon enough with an issue or ailment.

Now…how should he organize the pills?
