Forest of Death... @Yoshua171

"Well, lets consider this my first chance to surrender." Jaakuna spoke, watching as the Tsuchikage did his best to keep him away. "But... I'll decline. Hopefully you will still one day be willing to offer me those last two chances. Though, I doubt it." There was a poof of smoke, and he was gone. He'd succeeded in keeping the Tsuchikage busy, a whole affair that made matters... Difficult for the future. But, he did learn something from his encounter, and that was how far different this world was from the last.

Around the village, the last of Jaakuna Aka's clones dissipated. But in time, the word would spread. Somebody would say it out loud, and soon, the whole village knew exactly who to blame for this whole morbid affair...

Bumu couldn't help it. Looking over to Hikaru, and then thinking about just what kind of person would name their kid something as stupid as... Bakusatsu Kyō? He just imagined Hikaru in a silly paper crown, running around and blowing stuff up. Biting her lip, Bumu still ended up bursting into full on laughter. "Wow, you must have some crazy family, huh?" Bumu teased, tongue sticking right out. His ears twitched, and he glanced over to the northern edge of the forest. "DUCK!" He shouted, leaping down behind an overturned tree. The tree itself had long since formed into the ground, with rocks layered over and newer trees growing over it. Landing just in time, the fox bore witness to the devestation of the forest around her and Hikaru. Trees blown away, the ground shattered and turned to dust in a few areas. Horrifying to behold. "Well... I guess you and I lucked out. We're out of the forest now. Though there is no forest." Bumu chuckled nervously as she peeked out from their hide-y hole, thankful it withstood all this. "Though I guess they got what they want, since I can't see anybody else besides some of the other students."

Dusting himself off, Bumu turned to look at Hikaru. "So... I'm guess you Iwa guys are gonna be heading out soon, huh?" Bumu inquired, turning to his short term friend. "I guess I'll be seeing you around then. This whole day has me really reevaluating my life choices." He seemed to joke, but there was always the chance she was serious. "Look, if you need a place to stay, I'm your ninja, got it?"

One Week Later

Bumu hated this suit. Scruffy, rented it so it didn't fit perfectly right. The fox shinobi pulled on the collar, and despite the best efforts available, it never felt good. But that may have been the atmosphere. Around Bumu where the shinobi of Konoha. Many gathered, even from foreign lands. Rain pelted down from above, and despite the lack of life the whole ordeal seemed... Bitter. No body in the casket. They never could find it. But Namine, the village's top sensory had witnessed it from a great distance. Details where scarce, but they all knew who did it. Jaakuna Aka.

The Aka clan stood alone to the side, most of them children of the famed fox. Bumu stood a bit further off, in his own group to himself. He had made it clear many times his affiliation as the unknown bastard child of the fox sage, but the rest of the family had chosen to separate themselves from Bumu. Moreso now that the eyes of the judging village lay upon them. In truth, Bumu hadn't spoken to any of the others much sense then. Most just shut their doors, or had other things to do. Humans... How easily they turned their backs on others it seemed... Not even heroes where exempt.

"I see you actually wore a suit today."
Bumu didn't even need to look to know who it was. But either way, he looked to his right. There stood Kurin Senju, pride of the Senju clan. Smelling more than usual of plant matter. A great deal of bandages covered his face and body, supposedly from the burns he had suffered during his exam. "What's it matter to you?" Bumu muttered, a scowl on his lips. "I don't need pity you know."
"You don't?" Kurin asked, rather quizzically. "You're standing alone. The rest of your clan seems... Off put by this whole ordeal. What about you?"
"I don't need somebody to mental analyze me, okay?" Bumu snapped back. "It's this stupid suit that's got me all riled up!" He stomped away, leaving Kurin alone to the dreary atmosphere.

How weak. Nousagi stood with the rest of the Hyuuga clan, looking the distance to the funeral parade going down between the crowds. The Hokage had been a great man, and he had died in such a weak way. An assassin it seemed, and one who took the identity of the village hero. Now the village villain. He glanced around, looking to each member of his clan in time. With all that had happened, the clan was a broiling with gossip, and self interest. Already he could hear the murmurs of his father and his aides, all discussing their own bid to put the Hyuuga in charge of Konoha once again. Mind you, Nousagi didn't argue, as taking advantage of this moment to push an agenda was probably on the minds of all promenient clans. For a while it had been believed that one of the Aka clan would have been a strong contender for the Hokage's replacement. But recent affairs had completely ruined that bid for them. A boon for all the other clans.

"Kai, which clan do you believe has the chance to place one of their own in the lead for village leader?" Nousagi inquired, turning to the member of the Otsutsuki clan. Kai's failure in the tournament had been... Disappointing, but none the less a good aide was hard to come by, and Kai could at least do that. "Personally, the Senju clan will probably make a strong bid. Since the passing of their clan head many years ago had crippled their chances during the last time the spot was opened by tragedy. But now... They may very well be looking to reclaim their heritage as one of the more prominent clans in the village."

_________________________________________________

Suits where never a good fit for Ocha. More often than not he'd have gone to this event in his usually flashy outfit. But he respected the former Hokage a great deal, even during the war. Ocha could recall the times they met in battle. Ginsho on the side of Konoha, and Ocha on mission by the former Mizukage to assassinate somebody of value. He could not recall the score, but in the end it seemed Ocha was the winner on that front. "Strange... I always thought he'd ascend to that heaven he always prattled on and on about." Ocha commented softly, seated alongside the other Kages. Ocha himself was dressed in a fairly simple suit and tie, but the bandages that covered his body was for the health of those around him. Thick and tightly woven, covering every inch of his body. He couldn't help but feel... Sad. How odd, that wasn't an emotion that came to the surface very often. But in a way, this was the beginning of an end of an era. The last great heroes of the war where slowly dying out. Leaving only the villains of that sordid affair to live on. "Tragic."

Forest of Death... The Tsuchikage [@Yosuha171]@BladeX@Queentze@ZeroXposure

Jaakuna was surprised as his target vanished right before his attack connected. The kid was good, already trying to defend himself from the ninja before him. Landing on the branch, his senses ignited once more, sensing the ill will directed his way by the Tsuchikage. Surprising man, kind caught Jaakuna by surprise how quickly he showed up. He had been expecting a few more minutes. Maybe a moment more to play with his prey. But no... It seemed that it wouldn't be so. With a majority of the clones either having been burst, or just dissipated on their own, the chakra pool between all known Jaakuna Aka's was a lot more balanced. Allowed him to do a lot more than he may have been earlier. But this was a kage, and it was clear he was holding back because of the kiddo's near him.
"Careful, I'll probably kill them the instant they step outside your little lava field." Jaakuna smirked, eyes flashing between the three targets before him. The smoldering lava below him was, dangerous, and he'd already moved higher on his tree, constantly on the move upwards or away when his hiding perch was too damaged. This man seemed to work best by area denial. Shame... Jaakuna loved free movement...

"Sebun, leave. You're just going to waste your swords fighting this guy. He's on a different level." Jaakuna said, turning to his ally. "You can trust me~" He purred, like the fox he was before looking back to the Tsuchikage. "I didn't play many games as a kid. Daddy kept me busy." He said, pulling a shuriken from his pouch. The single star spun in his hand, before he let it loose. The shuriken flew through the air, and in a blur, it broke apart. A few hundred just like it poofed into existence. Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique! Scattering through the air, they where lethal blades showering the area of the Tsuchikage's little lava pit. showering down upon the general area of the trio. But, it didn't end there. When the shuriken struck ground, be it flesh, lava, or whatever, they exploded. Showering the nearby vicinity with Yatsu's own lava. Each explosion threatening to knock one of the poor kids either into the lava, or kill them when it blew up in their chest cavity if the shuriken hit home. This was Jaakuna's second favorite jutsu. Shuriken Shadow Clone Great Explosion Technique, which was a great follow up to the last one. "Honestly, I just played catch with my friends."

Forest of Death... Havoc's area @BladeSS4@Write

Oh clones? Well, Jaakuna loved clones. Those things where what he was used too. In fact, they where so much fun to play with. Especially the ones that came right at him. How... Predictable. He dropped right off the branch when they came close, hands catching the branch, leaving the only thing for the two front attackers to attack was... Themselves! How delightfully ironic. Letting go, he didn't pay them a bit of attention, instead leaping off the tree and sailing through the air. He spied below him a girl and her paintbrush. Oh, an artist. Well, if she had an attack that required that much prep, maybe Jaakuna had to step in and stop it.

He inhaled, and then let out a wave of smoke from his mouth. Fire Release: Hiding in Ash and Dust Technique! The ashen mist he created this time coated the area of all those pesky water clones, and the drawing Aito. The burning ash would ignite the scroll in her hand, and any other exposed paper she had on her person. Best to get rid of all of those at once. And best of all, as he vanished into the smoke, only Jaakuna knew what was going on. The other two where blind and probably in pain from where the ash burned their skin. He'd say something witty, but that'd give away his position.

Beautiful. That's what it was. Beautiful. If the puppet master could shed a tear at this moment, he very well may have. How long had it been since he had seen this side of the hokage. Twenty years if he could recount. Twenty years in a hell of this man's creation, based of a religion that Seijuro didn't even believe in. How... Never grating. But this sight, it was blood boiling. It was heart racing. The monster's heart began to pound like a drum in his chest, spurring action. ACTION! This was the man! This was the man who ruined him! This freak and his religion had cost him everything! His empire! His fame! His future! And here he stood, glorious and proud, as if he was somehow better than Seijuro. No! He moved faster than anything Ginsho had ever expected from him, stepping to the side, the first beam brushing past his chest. The side of one of his robes was ripped apart, exposing a puppet-like joint. Beautiful white fabric fluttered away in the breeze, as Seijuro dodged again, and again. This seemed... Practice. Familiar. As if he'd seen this all before. He may very well have. "Pathetic." He scoffed, words like knives between his lips.

His eyes went wide as a glorious archangel stood before him, shadowing the land and creeping over the world. Wind billowed as wings unfurled, and the puppet master leapt back. Catching the breeze he landed at the edge of the treeline, a chuckle creeping up between his clenched teeth. "Twenty years, and you still believe in fables." It brought out full on laughter, which echoed in the forest. The Hokage was a martyr. He hurt himself, mutilating his body as if it transcended himself. All in the name of a god he claimed to be all kind and loving. The pain was on the fault of the sinner. Funny... Anything was a sin if you really thought about it. Ambition most of all. But ambition? That's what drove the man who now stood across from Ginsho. AMBITION was the tool of the strong to overwhelm the weak! The followers bowed at the feet of a strong leader. HE WAS THAT LEADER! Twenty years he'd festered, now free to bring his ambition to fruit.

As the first strike moved through the air, those golden eyes didn't pay them a lick of attention. Instead, his eyes remained on Ginsho, and his one good hand. He took a step closer, ducking down as the blade sliced the air above his head. The sound of cracking trees erupted behind him, but he paid them not a single mind. Those golden eyes knew the truth behind this technique. It was not the angel one had to worry about, but the man who controlled it. That told you infinitely more about each strike. The man BEHIND THE MAN! He charged full force, jumping over the next strike, and spinning just enough as it came whipping back around. Each strike missing, and each time Seijuro closed the distance more and more. Not attacking, but getting closer... And closer. Till he was a meter from Ginsho, where that marvelous blade and that angel where useless. Too big to defend its host. "You where better when you had both hands."

In that moment, his eyes turned a brilliant red. That beautiful white hair became scorched and black. Until that scoff, pulled back into a smile, with fangs glistening.

Jaakuna pulled his fist back, and let loose with a good punch directed into Ginsho's perfect face. The devil of Konoha, the demon fox was suddenly there... Unlike Seijuro, his heart was not hardened. It was not dead or wood. Instead, it was breaking into pieces. His eyes where narrow, focused and full of a boiling force. Tears streamed down his cheeks, as he let loose twenty years of isolation into a single punch. "Gautama, you idiot. How could you not tell it was me?"

Jaakuna Aka has appeared on the battlefield.

@BladeX

My review is much the same as Syn's, but I have a few tiny niggles.

For the Light Weight Rock Technique, no flying. I realize it's a minor thing, but it's a thing. No flight.
For the ability to turn into smoke, you may want to increase the risk a bit. Like what can injure the user when they're smoke. Maybe consider increasing the cooldown if you can't come up with a balanced weakness to effectively turning into air.

"I will have my revenge."

Seijuro had chosen this spot well. A clearing in the forest of death, knotted trees rose up, creating a kind of barrier that sealed this part off from the rest of the world. It was a perfect isolation, a natural space where nobody could approach. The great Hokage, if he was even deserving of that title had walked so eagerly into this area, as if he owned it. But this was the forest of death. Death was the domain of Seijuro Nandate, as more had died in his name than any other shinobi of recent mention. Because despite all who called themselves the Gods of Shinobi, there was and would forever be, only one Seijuro.
"I came back due to my own power." He spoke calmly, as if in a bit of a trance. When he turned to look at Ginsho, his golden eyes where looking upon a child. Because to him, this Hokage was a child. One barely worthy of his time, much less his revenge. But maybe he could indulge in a little petty matter. After wall, why have all this power if you didn't use it.

"You know, Gautama, I think that's a lovely little nickname your friend gave you." Seijuro smirked, rubbing in his words like knives. "After all, you don't really believe in the teachings of the buddha, do you? No, you follow some being you call God." He took a step closer, unafraid of the threat display Ginsho put up. "Well, from me to you... Your belief is false. After witnessing the hell of your 'God' first and foremost, I can say without a doubt that there is no god! You chained me in your belief, and I shattered it like dust to the wind! Like a child peeking at his presents too early... It was sadly disappointing." He paused, now standing three meters away, as if challenging Ginsho to make the first move. "Now, I'm not going to do this out of revenge. Or any pitiful belief in a god. No. I'm doing this 100%, undeniably... Because when you pass away, I will be your only god!" That smile was pure delight to the true god of shinobi. "You will die, because I... HAVE DECREED IT!"

Bumu paused, and sniffed the air. He landed on a branch, bringing the entire pace of their escape to a grinding halt. His nose wrinkled, and finally he shook his head. "Nah, there isn't a gunpowder-y scent." She finally said, breaking the silence before moving once more. "If it was an explosion I'd smell the gunpowder. If it's chakra based, must be something specialized since there wasn't any combustion." Bumu went on, as if the fox was an explosives expert. "Though there could have been one, but this is more like a shockwave. You know? It's different. Like the difference between peeing in the bathroom and peeing in the woods. One toilet is artificial, the other is natural." Terrible analogue, but it was the best Bumu had. Probably made her seem like know-it-all. Eesh, he hated those kinds of people! "B-But's that's just a theory! I swear I'm not an egghead!"

The silence between the two could have been deafening, before Bumu spoke again. "But, on a different topic, I like your name." Bumu grinned, landing on all fours and then leaping away. At the very least with his human disguise restored it felt... Better? Chatting with people when they didn't look down at you. "Hikaru. Hiiiii-Kar-Ooooooo" Bumu said, savoring the name on his lips. "I had to come up with my own name you know. Mom didn't give me one, and dad... Well never met my dad to be honest." She grinned, already reaching the western most part of the forest. This was going rather fast when you just make a bee-line for the exit. "Your parents have a good taste in name, you know that?"

Konoha Hospital... @GlitchyBugger@Write@Odin

Three clones left, and the lady from the land of rain did a pretty good job of it. But, judging from all this, it seemed a continued fight was meaningless. They could split their chakra a bit further, maybe perform another clone barrage. But that? Waste of time. All three stood on the other building, looking across the way and soaking in what in another life time would have been a beautiful battle. Nodding to each other, two of the three vanished into poofs of smoke. Gone to report the news back to boss. But the third, he remained there, because he had a message to give.
"I like you, miss." The masked ninja said, nodding quickly. "So I think you should be gifted the knowledge of who orchestrated all this." Quick pause, wait for the drama to flare up... "The mastermind... Is Ocha, the Mizukage. But smart thing like you? I'm sure you'd have figured it out soon enough." Then, like the others, he too vanished.

Konoha Marketplace... @Spanner

The clone grunted as he was lifted up off the ground, eye to eye with Arashi for the first time in forever. A gust of breeze blew that dark hair from his eyes, and there was fear. Not a fear of death. He lost that long ago. But a fear at the idea that he had lost something he considered his own. The loyalty and trust of the boy he considered his apprentice. "Wow... I must have really fucked up, huh?" That was it for a moment, as if the weight of it all had crashed down on him. He spent years in hell cursing his own fate. Oh sure, he probably mourned and wondered how others must feel, but that grief turned to anger. How... Selfish. Well, might as well own it. "I didn't mean to die. I didn't know I was leaving you behind when I left the village. To you, I must be a pretty poor Sensei. I wasn't even there to see you become a man. I didn't even see your first kiss. A teacher is supposed to be there for his apprentice, right? I couldn't even do that." He smiled softly, as if enjoying the greatest joke the world had ever seen.

"If you need somebody to blame... It's the Tsuchikage." He frowned, closing his eyes in acceptance. "Bastard will deny it. He wants to start a war between Konoha and Kirigakure. Thinks that if he weakens the other nations through fighting he can sweep the rewards. Brought me back so if that failed, he could pass the blame onto a third party. Sickening really... You think a puppet Tsuchikage is bad, and then you meet the real shitty deal." Finally, he reached out, and patted Arashi on the cheek. "I have one question... And think on it. I don't need an answer right now. I'll get it later. But..."

"Are you proud of who you've become?" The hand that pierced his chest lingered for a moment... He smiled, softly and seemed to hang limp. Eyes wide... And then he was gone. POOF! But he left Arashi with a new path... Vengeance.

Forest of Death - Havoc Arena... @BladeSS4

Sneaky Sneaky... Tashiro was certainly a cut above other ninja, since he was smart enough to not attack a man like Havoc head on. Not without watching and preparing his own jutsu. Unfortunately, he was probably trying to focus on too many things. After all, gathering all the moisture needed for a water jutsu, AND keeping track of a fight? Not bad. He could still probably react to any attack aimed his way. Except, for an attack from behind. There was a soft red blip of light from deep in the forest, and right behind Tashiro came Jaakuna Aka, all dressed up in his nicest combat suit. Outstretched like a rocket, he had aimed a high speed kick right at Tashiro's exposed back. The impact wouldn't kill him. It could, but Jaakuna made sure it wouldn't. It'd defiantly knock him out of the tree, and because of great timing, right into the shockwave Havoc had chucked at Hime. Hey, if Havoc was going to use his gravity attacks, he might as well hit something.
"SPEED BALL SPECIAL! INCOMING!"

Forest of Death - Sebun Arena... @BladeX

"Oh, you recognize me." Jaakuna was all grins, seemingly ignoring the danger of the situation. "Ah, such a shame, and here I thought coming back from the dead gave me a bit of an... Incognito status." For a dead man he seemed pretty joyous. He barely even seemed to register the barrier ninja as a threat, though barrier rarely seemed to stop him. "Sebun, this kid knows barrier stuff. You can tell because he blocked that kunai with a barrier." Captain Obvious grinned as a red cloak began to shimmer over his form. Teeth clicked together as he turned to face Kaba, ready for a fight. He seemed relaxed, notably so as a single tail sprouted from the red cloak that wrapped his body. His clothing seemed to gain a fancy aura to it, as if changing to fit a certain motif he had going on. Then there was the obvious shape of the fox ears.

"To be honest, one tail should be more than enough for you kid." The shinobi said, taking a step closer and waggling his finger. "Now... I'm attacking from your right." He pointed to Kaba's right, and then he vanished. A red blip of light, and he was on Kaba's left. Already swinging in for a good left hook to send him down to the ground to fight Sebun. "Oops, did I say right? I meant left!"

The Forest of Death... @BladeX@ZeroXposure
Smart kid. He'd go far in life, as only a fool attacks somebody well above his level. But he was rather mistaken in the idea that he was fighting only foe. As there was a brief red blip of light from somewhere on the sides of the clearing. Next moment, Kaba would see a shinobi, dressed in fairly simple anbu garb. A fire seemed to be flickering off his body, though maybe a trick of the light. The two kunai where intercepted right out of the air, caught by the handles, one in each of the mysterious shinobi's hands. Both where tossed back before the tags had a chance to ignite. One sailed towards the clone, an obvious target. The other one though, was aimed into the forest. Specifically right to where Kaba was hiding. A perfect shot. A clear indicator that this mystery ninja may very well have other senses.

"Hey man, sorry to steal your lightning." The stranger chuckled, grinning from ear to ear. "But all the others are out doing cool stuff, and I'm starting to get jealous." He laughed, clearly being rather silly in the midst of all this. If Kaba was well read he may be one of the few to recognize the shinobi considering he wasn't wearing a mask. Jaakuna Aka, hero of the leaf had arrived just in time for some mysterious invasion. "Now, I'll leave this to you, but be careful. Kids these days have no respect for their betters."

------------------------------
Various places in Konoha... @Spanner

By now, news was spreading through the clones. A great deal of excitement spread through them, aware of the dangerous man now running amuck. Finishing their tasks as soon as they could, be it glorious explosive suicide, or drawing in more chakra before they where destroyed, it was clear fun was being had. All at Arashi's expense. Each one removed their masks, looking at the shinobi when they sensed his approach. Some nodded, knowing it had to be done. Others sat back, and repeated the same thing. "Long time no see." Till to a point where if he hadn't hardened his heart, Arashi's chest would be bleeding in sentiment.

Until finally, there was only one clone left in the market place. He stood silently, taking in all the motions and chaos around him. "You know... Tiger Cub... This isn't me." It was probably the only time Jaakuna or his clones would get to speak to somebody from the old world. "I thought I was the hero, you know? I thought this was my story..." He took a seat in the center of the market, on the edge of the fountain. "During the war, before the end... I was supposed to have a future. People always said 'You're going to be Hokage! You have my vote!' And then... I died. I've had years to fester on that. It's a gaping wound you know." A hand pressed to his chest. His fingers dug into his chest, tight and painful even for a clone. "So many I didn't get a chance to speak to. Apologizes I never gave... I was left in isolation for twenty years. With the man who caused all this misery... And when I return? I find out I'm being played like a fiddle. And that hate? It's coming up so much. I hate this village. I hate this sun. I can't feel anything but his simmering hate. Does that make me bad?"

He patted the seat next to him, inviting Arashi to speak. "You did good though. Honestly, you're doing a better job than some others. I heard Akeno died... First wife, remember? Blonde, lovely singing voice. Apparently she couldn't bare the loss of our only son and then myself. Did you attend the funeral? She liked you a lot." Jaakuna smiled for a moment, and then laughed softly as a memory crossed his mind. "Remember when she kept insisting you stay for dinner that one time?" It was a rather silly story really. They had been planning a family feast, getting the rest of Jaakuna's ever growing family together. Arashi had shown up mostly by accident, since he was there to get advice on his first date. At least, that's how Jaakuna was remembering it. "You know, she told me afterwards that she'd have handcuffed you to the table to force you to stay and eat with us if you tried to escape." Good times... Now long gone.

Bumu shrugged, easily stepping aside as a sword impaled the tree where she had been standing. Being a rather strange sort this felt more like drama than anything else. Overly cautious as he was, he had to admit the Iwa ninja did have a point. Though one could argue that was all part of the ploy! But... If he was going to get out, going in a group of two was better than a group of just himself.
"Ah, I'm just fucking with you." Bumu grinned from ear to ear. "Though lets be honest, it makes some sense. Because at the moment, the village is under attack. We're under attack. Somebody has to be the traitor." Fairly visibly to Hikaru, explosive tags began to crawl back up the tree, hiding themselves on Bumu's person. "Not like it's gonna be the Konoha ninja, you Iwa could be the bad guys here, but we'll point fingers later, okay?"

Turning his attention to the situation at hand, he seemed to watch the hawk in the distance, with some attention to the crater on the other side. "If we're going to be realistic, the two main exits have a guy on each of them. Simply because that's something I'd do if I attacked." Bumu jumped down to Hikaru's level, but he made fairly sure to be enough of a distance away that he'd react if the other ninja tried anything funny. "So, if we go east or west we could probably just jump the fence. Unless somebody is guarding the perimeter we'll be fine, what'cha think on that?" It was all rather obvious when you thought about it, but considering this was an invasion, who knew what else was waiting out there to fight. "I'll take lead, that cool with you?" Bumu said, jumping forward and heading east. Odds where they might run into some other shinobi along the way in need of help.
"By the way, my name is Bumu Aka, what's yours?" He inquired, landing on a branch and kicking off.

KAZEKAGE and RAIKAGE

Are now both open!

At the end of the great war, there where many deaths. In Kumogakure the village had suffered great devastation, annex'd by Kirigakure and eventually released as part of the peace accords. While Sunagakure had escaped a great deal of carnage their reputation had gone to shambles. This was all twenty years ago. And in that time many things happened.

What happened is your story to tell.

Are you a fresh young kage, only just taking to the role? Or are you a veteran who fought in the last shinobi war. Do you seek war, or peace? Are you loved, or feared? These are the stories only you can tell.

With the invasion of Konoha in full swing, it has been the choice of the GMs to announce that Kumogakure and Sunagakure are now open for application.

The spots of the Kazekage and Raikage are not mandatory, and we will be advertising soon for fresh blood to join the group. As those who helped build up this great RP, we figured it would only be right to give you all a crack at it first.

If you are interested, send a message to one of the mods. (Preferably myself) with your idea for a Kage. (Though you are allowed to change your idea as you write the character.) We are seeking people who are willing to get deeply invested in the role, and those who feel they can add to the Roleplay by taking head on one of the five great nations of the world.

Sitting on his tree, Bumu decided he had to do something. He couldn't just sit here. Placing a hand on the tree, she let explosive tags slip down and blend into the bark. Most importantly, if one of these attackers spotted him first, it was best if he had something to fight back with. And then, from his perch, he spotted a shinobi of iwagakure. Oh shit! Where these the attackers. Standing up, he grabbed one of the swords that had fallen onto the tree, resting the blunt end onto her shoulder.
"Halt! This is the land of Konoha! Are you one of those responsible for the attack?" He growled, eyes focusing onto the enemy ninja. He was going to defend this tree to the best of his abilities, so he was ready to kick butt, despite his less than stellar work so far. "And please be honest."

So... It seems they have a Byakugan user on their side. Not bad. Wonder how that happened. It was the eyes, fairly obvious. So it seemed like stealth was out, kinda. While she could see them, it seemed the rest of the bunch couldn't. So having only one shinobi with a sense of what they where doing was good enough. Just meant he had to split his focus a little.

First thing was first, the wind jutsu. The archer didn't seem to be attacking at the moment, so that made this a lot easier. Jaakuna's senses where superb, a gift from his extensive time with Kurama. The clones on the opposite building had the advantage in that they had extra range and thus room to move. Spying the handseals, and distortion of the wind, they moved.
The front visible two jumped back, twisting in the air and landing on all fours. One formed a series of handseals, while the other formed another.
"Katon: Haisekishō"
"Fūton: Taifūikka"
A cloud of smoke and ash poured out from the one on the right, erupting out and spreading along their rooftop. The second, using a wind jutsu, pushed the cloud of smoke. Spreading it out further, right onto the other rooftop. The choking ash would do a few great things. One of which was blind anybody that wasn't one of the fox ninja, since they could detect the intent of others. A pretty good start, since coughing alone would do a good job of distracting the kage and hyuuga. But, there was a catch. and only Sayuri would notice it. But after one jutsu each, the chakra the clones had been allocated dropped, leaving them with only enough on their own to go hand to hand. It seemed they might have a one jutsu limit each. Makes sense, they where spread thin.

The other four, all of which where invisible jumped to the sides. One of them landing poorly and taking a wind bullet through the chest. Drat. Each jumped onto the other roof, knowing they had to get into the fight. One drew a sword, chucking it through the smoke and ash at Sayuri. With any luck it's get her, doubtful. Another of the group targeted Koma, sword drawn. He turned visible, blade swiping through the ash right at the vulnerable iwagakure shinobi. That bow girl would be trouble. Better keep her from getting to the two attacking the crowd. A good enough start. The last of the three lunged through the smoke, aiming to tackle Yogensha, draining her chakra on the touch.

The initial two attacked from opposite sides, with one on the right and the other on the left. The one on the left had it easiest. Leaping through the barrage of bullets, lucky in that with such a wide spread it was rather easy. The kunai zipped over his head as he charged again, joining the other two in his attempt to grapple Yogensha. She stood out clearly, that strong will to fight him, aiming to grab her hand, more than enough to throw her off balance.
The one on the right, not so lucky. Like his cohort he manage to dodge the wind, what he didn't dodge was Sayuri. Not because she was faster than him, but because he was only just landing as she attacked. The force of her blow scattered the clone, destroying him in an instant. Lucky her. Just a few left.

Already the two who leapt towards the crowd where getting to work. Pinning down injured shinobi, sucking the chakra from their bodies. When attacked, they're kick or punch with a shocking amount of speed. Working tandem and doing their best to remain surrounded. After all, if they remained in the crowd, it'd be harder to attack them.

Oh, and one last thing. The ash currently surrounding the group is volatile. Any kind of spark or metal on metal would set it off. So... Good luck.

Current Count: 5 Visible, two on the opposite roof and two down below in the crowd. One is attacking Koma. / 3 invisible, one throwing at sword at Sayuri, and the other two aiming to subdue Yogensha.

Konoha Market... @Spanner
Shoot! He should have seen this coming! The clone cursed under his breath as he stood up, eyes wide under his mask. It was clear the man had a good grip on his emotions, though the clones where in such a hectic crowd, one set of emotions could be easily dismissed at this point. His hands pressed together, knowing he wouldn't win this fight. But, he might as well deliver any message the man planned to send. But the clone paused. Eyes wide not in fear, but jovial delight. Arashi!? Of the Hidden Grass!? If the clone wasn't so shocked by who this was, he'd have been more... Well overjoyed! He took his hands apart, and raised a hand to the anbu mask covering his face.
"Arashi... Huh? Last time I heard that name or saw that face I could have sworn you where leaf." He spoke slowly, grip tightening on his mask. He pulled it aside slowly, till Arashi could see the eyes beneath. Narrowed, precise... Like a fox. "Disobeying your Sensei's orders, huh? Last I recall I ordered you to stay in the hidden grass and protect it, Tiger cub." That nickname was... Probably the last thing Arashi wanted to hear. A teasing jab from long ago from a man that the world believed dead.
For a moment, Arashi would be gifted seeing Jaakuna's face. Before he vanished in a puff of smoke. "Chase me little tiger! I can't wait to see how you've grown.
