I would like to join, but for now, what is the goal? Basically rebuilt whatever clan our character choose or is aligned with? And what is the limitation (I.E Can we create our character in any of the factions involved?).
Körbl Meier

"That'll be two grand in cash, with the fact that this gold bar is unmarked, dangerous business you know-"

Körbl tuned it out as he looked at the multitude of newspaper cutting, some of it old and worn, while a fresh one just arrived today. Detailing about the hero convention event in Philadelphia, multiple heroes of middle-rank and an appearance of a top tier hero.

"And as per your request, satellite phone, keyed to a specific number."

Hmm, fairy hero turned serial killer? Körbl scratched the bottom of his chin as that detail caught his attention, wondering how that happened.

"Hunting knives-"

He walked onwards, ignoring the muffled music in the background as the carpeted room did a poor job absorbing it alongside the random, chaotic mix of footsteps dancing to it. At least the strong scent of alcohol, tobacco, mixed smoke of electronic vapes, and the scent of people was kept away properly.

"Passport, as mister Engelbert..."

Tracing a finger on a counter situated in the middle, its surface and interior reinforced enough to handle bullets from assault rifles. No doubt, the glass that separated the room in half, was similarly reinforced.

"Clothes, a bank account, card, no strings attached and clear of anything. As usual."

Though it wasn't as strong as the ones in Thornwood Asylum. It would easily be shattered had he decided to break in with his fist alone, never mind the knife that he had.

Then again, he was already behind it anyways.

"Of course, the moment you've been waiting for-"

Körbl finally turned to his dealer as he produced two large golf bag from the sides, heaving and grunting as he struggled to place it on top of the oak table, filled with countless swords.

Pulling one out, he inspected it carefully. All of them high quality but ordinary made steel. It wasn't anything special compared to his first one but they were purposefully ordered to be like that.

"I'm surprised. I thought you'll go for those fancy metal, or something like those new fancy fangled orihalcum metal that they recently discovered. Those thing are darn near indestructible." The dealer wiped the sweat of his brow as he sat down and took a swig of an opened bottle of his gin. "Cost a fortune though, even I wasn't able to get it. Not even a piece, those things are going up to a million per gram-"

Körbl had come to a realization, of why he lost to his arch-rival.

He had relied too much upon that sword, it was a chain, weighing him down.

So now, he had to retrain himself. This was part of it.

"Good." Körbl replied as he put it back in. "I shall rely upon you to supply me more."

"Don't." Franky, weapon, information broker, and club owner waved his hand. The large swarthy man and his dark afro hair moved alongside his shaking head. Dark sunglasses, gaudy clothes, fancy suit, alongside with way too many accessories than needed which Körbl find distasteful to downright head-scratching.

Compared to his grey suit and pants, and white-collar shirt, brown boot. Körbl looks completely underdressed to the monstrosity of fashion that was Franky.

Still, Franky was his most trusted person on this side of the continent.

Franky could have sold him out immediately the moment he stepped in but didn't. No, it was good of Franky to be courteous at least up front to inform him that he'll sell him out after he's done with his purchase and out of his establishment.

"So, where you plan to go now? They'll have your mug plastered on every corner of the streets, man!" Franky then leaned forward and his hands closed together. "How about you do a job for me? Just one! And I'll get a ticket out of this country for you in ten minutes!"

"No." Körbl shook his head, grabbed the luggage and two golf bag, let it slide around his waist and tested the weight as he made micro-adjustments to it. The bag behind him contained all his new personal effects. It'll garner attention but Körbl welcomed it, if anything, he looked forward to it.

"You're going for payback huh? That ain't wise, brother." Franky sighed as he leaned back into his chair. "He's in New York, and it'll take an hour or two, maybe less for them to know if you take the direct route."

"I'm not going to meet him directly."

"Oh?"

"I'm still weak, I'll challenge him again after I'm done with my training." Körbl mentioned offhandedly, that'll get some heat off Franky when they inevitably come to investigate. Knowing his luck, they'll send the lower-tier ones instead. After all, it's not like the top tier heroes sit on their backs every day doing nothing.

Franky muttered from the sides, not aware that Körbl heard him mumbling sarcastically that Körbl was weak.

Well, now that he was ready, it was time to move out. "You prepared that, Franky?"

"Oh, that old antique of yours? Yea? Made a couple of them, a nice showpiece or for those muscle-bound idiots that think it's a good idea."

Körbl brushed it aside as Franky took the lead and diverted him to an elevator, a quick press of a button and they're soon in the underground basement. Numerous large trucks sat but one piece of item in the sides was a unique existence.

It was a large motorcycle, modified in one aspect. It ran on a hybrid engine of fuel, electricity, and can be charged via kinetic movement. One that required tremendous effort and was relegated to novelty and competitions for people to showcase their fitness.

To Körbl, it was the best way to move around while training.

Grinning, he rode it as Franky tossed him a key. A swift pressed of a button from the latter and the basement opened a hidden passage. One meant for Franky more...illicit trade.

"Don't get caught so soon, you hear me brother? I can get more deals with you around." Franky said as Körbl legs start to pedal the motorbike, slow at first but it ramped up to the point that it became a blur as he swiftly turned around and rode out of here. Giving a final passing wave to Franky.

It took minutes of travel but he soon saw lights from passing cars, cleverly hidden as part of a subterranean highway tunnel.

Joining the traffic, Körbl matched cars in terms of speed and overshot some of them as he weaved between before settling to one side of the road. His destination was already set.

Eyes looking at the roads to California, Körbl continued his journey. Billboards and advertisements to the sides, as lamp post illuminated the roads clearly in its orange light.

Then at the corner of his eyes, a large advertising monitor had changed to an emergency channel for the public and heroes alike.

Somewhere else....

A news report was running all over the different news channels. Informing the masses that a group of escaped super villains have escaped and were last spotted near an amusement park. All of the escape's photos were then shown to millions of Americans, one of the photos was of Abby about to be tackled by a guard. Now everyone knows who they are and what they look like, it was only a matter of time before heroes would come knocking to send them back to Thornnwood.

Hmph. Körbl huffed as he continued on, it really did seem that the response was slower than he expected.

It was slightly insulting and annoying, did they not warrant a state of national emergency instead?

Well, he suppose he'll has a long way to go until then.

Skarsneek of the Red Hill

"Yo, bee girl! What's up!" Skarsneek waved as he saw Kerry enter, then fearfully at the back of his head, he wondered if he recalled seeing her before this. Ah well, best to pretend and ignore that detail.

Hearing Kerry run down of her own mission, Skarsneek can only shake his head in disbelief. Another family betraying one another? Sheesh, talk about messed up, or repressed problems.

Hopefully, Takeshi own family isn't shaping up to be like that.

Though on hearing Sam, he brightened up at that. So that's where he went?

Just then, a new presence decided to reveal itself as they stepped into the room. Taking his attention as he raised an eyebrow at the monster girl that just walked in.

@Nakushita

Were ogres supposed to be that small?

Huh.

So quietly, while Kerry took her attention, he snuck around and observed her. Looking at the odd clothes and built before standing right behind her. Waiting patiently until she noticed, he even tapped his foot once to get her attention.

The moment she turned, Skarsneek delightfully smirked with glee as he sharply brought both of his arms upwards.

"Boo!"

Once the moment was over, Skarsneek giggled like a child before introducing himself properly.

"I'm Skarsneek! Glad to meet you, little oni!" He confidently said, completely ignoring the fact that he too was a little one. Perhaps shorter due to being a goblin.

Though he left out that he was a male despite still being dressed in the traditional female goblin style. Come on, surely, he was able to fool this one?

"Hey, welcome! You're part of Kyouko reinforcement too!?" Skarsneek warmly said and smiled as he approached
@PaulHaynek@AzureKnight

Skarsneek of the Red Hill

Hearing Sorae words before they left, Skarsneek turned slightly before waving his hands to acknowledge her.

"Terauchi Temple, remember, report to your lord so he knows you're still alive. Might even come and help you." He said in between steps before reminding Sorae of one important fact. "Don't go rushing in and dying now, you owe me after all."

"Well, let's go back. If you want to proceed with another mission, go ahead. I'm beat for today." Skarsneek rubbed the back of his head in annoyance. This mission was a success but it felt bitter.

Still, that's one person of importance recruited.

Walking all the way back, Skarsneek realized it would be night soon as the sun set down on the horizon. Idly, he wondered just how the rest are doing.

As he entered, he noted that there was some new damage. That got him sharpened up as he hastened his footsteps. There was no other defenses nor additional patrols so it meant there wasn't a raid or attack, was it a scuffle?

Well, that's terrific. Skarsneek rubbed the back of his head in annoyance as he felt a headache forming. Wondering just who started it.

Arriving at the temple and pushing the door wide open, he flamboyantly announced his return.

"It's me, Skarsneek! You may rise." He proudly entered before looking at the numerous refugee and checking up with them. Picking any of them at random and asked in perfect Zipang. "So what happened today? Someone got into a fight? It was that orc, ain't it?"

"And you all, need anything? Water or food? I'll fetch some for ya."

And on, Skarsneek looked and interacted with the locals. Helping them as best as he can before finishing up as he takes his leave to find Takeshi.

Asking a priest or two, he finally found Takeshi alongside Lunatea. The latter having a conversation with the other. After a quick moment of thinking, he decided it was definitely time to mess with the two of them. Definitely.

@Hammerman

"Yo!" So with all the subtleties of a bull, he came and interrupted their conversation. Especially with Lunatea. "Snatched one already? Man, you sure work fast!"

"And Takeshi! My man! Getting over your prejudice, can't be more proud of ya!" Intentionally, he put a hand over Takeshi's shoulders. Hand smacking a bit harder than intended as he got close to the heir of Shizuyama and fake whispered loudly enough to be heard. "But be careful, rabbits are well-known for their large families and heat cycle. Your hips may give out before hitting number twelve."

Whatever they would say, Skarsneek will let go of Takeshi before he cleared his throat. "I got Sorae, but as for her clan...well, let's just say we have a problem."

Taking a look around to ensure that there aren't any eavesdroppers, Skarsneek face and tone changed as he report his finding. "They're all dead. Only Sorae's left. All of them were murdered by Shizuyamans."

"One of the leads we found, at least before Sorae offed her, seems to say that the world's changing and men of vision got to face it or something. Usual shit."

"But if I got to speculate, they're probably working with the Varjans." Skarsneek proposed and deduced as he stroke his chin. "Fits their M.O too."

He kept quiet on the front that it might be the angle that Takeshi clan wasn't extreme enough when it came to monsters and so joined forces with the one and only most radical forces on the earth intent on breaking up monster relationships violently.

"Sorae said she'll come and join you later. Hopefully, she does and not go on her own." Skarsneek finished his report before leaning forward to Takeshi. "Personally, I think we need to watch over her. She might go and do something stupid."

Gringor of the Ironhide tribe

Gringor strike took one out shaman out and turned to the rest.

Seeing this, they levitated and float themselves above before hiding behind their line of men.

Hissing and nose flared, this only surmised why he hated fighting shamans, sorcerers, and mages. No sport to fight at all.

A stream of blue fire came, and he ducked to the sides. Rolled and got onto his feet before dashing off to the sides. Drawing their attention as he read that it won't be long before he was hit with the fire.

Which was why he quickly dash to the sides as another wave came before he charged forward to the line of brigands. Intent tear through them before getting into the mages.

Like an experience wood cutter, a single swing of his axe fell the first line of the brigands before he held his axe forward.

Then he proceed to slam into the second line like a bull, the sheer momentum of his charge catching a few of the brigands upwards into his embrace.

Yet Gringor wasn't done, as with another roar, muscles tensed like iron, and feet dug into the ground before it tore chunks. He lifted the bandits caught by him and continued forward like a living battering ram. Intent on using the brigands as a meat shield.

If they didn't fire, they'll scatter. If they fired, then Gringor will continue his path forward regardless by tossing the brigands forward, slammed the head of his axe down and pole jump himself higher to avoid the blistering flames.

He already caught sight of the mage that stood at the very back end disappearing. So at the very least, there were three mages left.
@PaulHaynek

Skarsneek of the Red Hill Tribe

He was all ready to truss a lady up before he came back and was treated to a gruesome sight of a lady's head falling off alongside blood spurting outwards. Then a moment later, the headless body fell down to the ground without any fanfare.

Skarsneek impassive face looked to the head, then body, and finally Sorae as she had the gall to look ashamed of her actions. Even mentioning that the woman won't talk.

Moving normally, Skarsneek tossed the rags to the sides and was about to walk past Sorae but not before he gave a piece of his mind.

Slapping her rear far harder than necessary to leave a mark behind and at a purposeful angle meant for a shock right up to the spine.

He ran his hands through his hair before letting out a long, exasperated sigh. Veins popping at his arms, fingers tremblings, body tense enough that he shook visibly alongside a reddening face and eyes.

"She." Skarsneek's foot twisted as he snapped backward with a finger pointed accusingly to Sorae. "Was mine to do. Not yours."

"Your ass owes me one." He stated, not demanded, as he closed his fist towards her. "And I'll have it."

With that, Skarsneek decided to drop that topic. The woman lost her family and children, so he'll excuse it. Heck, he might even do worse if she was in her situation.

But that was still breaking his agreement with her and that can't slide.

"Let's go. Takeshi will definitely want to know this information." Skarsneek closed his eyes before moving out, not really caring at this point. There were other ways and many more people they can convert over time. "Maybe others actually caught someone useful."

Besides, if the local Shizuyamans colluding and undermining their own? That meant they had even less of an advantage than before. Who knows just how much information on defenses, maps, geography, logistics, and important people was exposed. Never mind infiltrators and local support are now questionable at best or outright malignant at worse.

@AzureKnight

As he walked past the sisters, he protectively pulled them away from the sight of the headless body. Not really wanting them to see the grim reality of the situation, this was often the result of the war between Varjans and others so he was experienced in it.

He'll have to keep an eye out for the two, Skarsneek can only pray they're made of harder stuff.

Oh who's he kidding, wars like this are never easy even on the hardest of people.

This is why he hates Varjan and the conflicts they're involved in.

---

Gringor of the Ironhide Tribe

Moving quietly, Gringor watched as the Varjan part failed in locating the target any more than he did.

Annoyance built but he pushed it down with an iron clamp. He just needed to wait till they exhaust themselves-

Crack.

Gringor eyes twitched as he didn't need to see what he just stepped on, and in these quiet woods, it might as well be loud as a thunder.

True enough, the shamans turned around and loose a gout of blue fire towards his general vicinity.

Picking speed he quickly dashed towards the sides, rolled and shoved whatever was in his way in an effort to get out of the firing line. Its heat was felt even from afar and he had not interested in testing if his iron-like skin can take it just as well as actual iron can.

Hissing and grunting, he struck back by tossing the rock in his hand towards the mage. Hard enough to crack and send someone unconscious as it might as well be launched from a crossbow.

Throughout it all, Gringor made an effort to scramble for any large rocks, branches or any object of similar weight that he can toss back. Any normal Varjans that caught it directly would crumble but he doubt it'll do anything against the shamans, adding his annoyance to magic even more.

In between, Gringor eyes caught something off. Just barely there as he counted the number of Varjans and true enough, there was less of them than they started.

His eyes snapped to one particular guard at the furthest and away from the group, knocked off his feet then pulled into the long grass.

Found you. Gringor eyes narrowed, finally discovering his quarry.

This meant he can finally do what he do best.

Adding more to the chaos, Gringor suck in the air and bellowed out like a beast. The very roar echoed forward as Gringor stole their attention completely. Turning to the sides, a swift swing of his axe chopped a thin tree down and it was pushed forward towards the group of Varjans.

Charging forward, Gringor knew that there was only a single moment that he has to make it in time. The very earth was dug upwards as his foot bit deeply, leaving an imprint before he went forward.

Then leaping upwards to the falling tree, he walked on top of it like it was a balancing log and scaled it forward. Using the falling tree to mask his presence as he closed the distance rapidly between him and the Varjans.

Once close enough, he'll leap off from it with his axe raised. Intent on slamming down into the mages at full force and tear them apart with his axe.

"WAAAGH!!!" Eyes wide and frenzied, Gringor unleashed all his fury forward.

@Dark Cloud

Oh welcome back, you in time since some of the party just got back to town
@PaulHaynek@AzureKnight

Skarsneek of the Red Hill

His plan was calculated but it sure didn't considered that the other might have known his game plan too.

So Skarsneek was left dangerously precarious as the sword swung downwards, ready to strike him in half.

Or would have, if she didn't divert her strike to the sides before it was knocked aside by another hit. The sword clattered to the sides as Sorae finally caught onto them.

"Thanks. I would've won still but thanks." Skarsneek rubbed the back of his neck before moving to the fallen warriors, took one of their hakama before ripping it to thin shreds and looked for additional ropes as he left Sorae to her questions first.

Then before the informant can escape, or thought too, Skarsneek would come back and immediately bind her ankles first before moving to the thighs, arm, hands and finally, a gag to the mouth made with cloth to prevent the latter from biting her tongue. The way he tied it too was one that was complex, tight, and most of all, embarrassing to look at. As if she was trussed up like a chicken.

"Hmm? This? Why question her here when we can go back to the temple and do it." Skarsneek said, not really caring if Sorae had finished her questions or investigation. He then tossed her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes and carried her easily like a hunter bringing back his prey. "Besides, your Lord Takeshi probably wants to know this as well. Who knows, maybe after they killed you, they'll frame ya as the traitor or something."

"They also betrayed you, them betraying Takeshi also isn't that far-fetched." He pointed out before adding more. "They could be colluding with Varjan for all we know. So just leave the interrogating to me! I'm somewhat of an expert at it."

Well, sort of. The interrogation he does was...unorthodox but it usually works.

With that said, Skarsneek swung around and headed outside before giving a sly wink to Atsuha. "Good job, let's have some fun when we get back, okay?"

"You too, Hinami, nice work." Skarsneek raised a hand for her to slap.

Gringor of the Ironhide Tribe

@AzureKnight

"Or desperate, if boss-lady Kyoko is getting this rabble." He waved his hand and stated his opinion on the matter, wondering just where the other stronger mamono were.

@The Irish Tree

On hearing the fairy comments, Gringor rolled his shoulders. "Then come and do it, let's see how strong a git is."

Still, before he can get a conclusive answer, the fairy flew away. With that, he too continued his own journey, wandering the forest aimlessly as he looked for a clearing.

This grated his patience as the day turned to dark, even with his eyes, it was still dark for him.

Then he found a clearing but he frowned as he sniffed the air, if the smell was an indication then the torch being lit there wasn't assuring.

Hiding amongst the bushes and shadows, he peered and approached the clearing carefully. Controlling his breath even and laid low, always keeping himself upwind so his scent and pheromones won't be picked up by them.

There was Varjans but dressed in fur clothing instead of the heavy armors, that had him dismissed them since he can take them on. The ones that did took his heavy interest was the fully robe figures. At first, they looked like those sneaky bois but on closer look, they're floating.

Shamans? And five of them? Gringor mused with annoyance, resisting the urge to clicked his tongue at the prospect of dealing with magic. Not to mention the numbers disadvantage.

Thinking on it further, what were they doing here? Are they here to track the sneaky ones as well?

With a cunning realization, he supposed that he can wait until they found them instead. Saves him far more time doing the searching and energy as well while giving him a prime chance to strike them while they're turned away.

So with that, Gringor settled down and stalked his prey. Never getting too close as he picked a rock the size of his fist. At least he might knock one out before they can open their mouth to cast anything.
@AzureKnight

Skarsneek of the Red Hills

Smiling with lips wide, Skarsneek adjusted his footing as his twirling clubs intercepted the arrows mid-way with the quick strikes swatting them.

With one down swordsman and the last archer out of the way, his eyes glanced at the corner of his vision. Catching the running woman picking a sword from the rack.

That only serve to make him laugh, the idiot was actually going to fight! Saves him the time and energy to keep chasing!

With that in mind, he quickly turned to the last swordsman. He raised his right arm, clubs ready for a wild strike as the swordsman saw it a mile coming.

Then at the last moment, and unbeknownst to the swordsman, Skarsneek left struck like a viper in a blinding thrust. Catching him mid-swing and stopping the attack before it happened.

His right finally descended like a hammer, striking the sword arm and nerve. Forcing the latter to drop his sword.

Yet Skarsneek was not down as he used the latter legs as a foothold, climbing upwards before bringing both clubs down in a chopping motion. All of that, to the neck, cutting off the oxygen and giving enough shock that the swordsman went limp and unconscious.

Kicking off, Skarsneek was not down as he rolled once before going straight for the woman. His shoulders shifted, arms and club swirling around. It gave an appearance of a dance, in turn, masking his strikes.

Skarsneek however, had no intention of such a boorish way to drag the fight. No, he plans to end it immediately to prevent her from running and allowing him to assist his wife. Which was why he planned to dive at the moment she struck. Going right into a grappling battle instead.

---

Gringor of the Ironhide tribe

(Before his continuation of his quest.)

@AzureKnight@Crowvette

"Hmph, you should try enjoying a scrap. It makes you feel alive." He huffed before looking at the Io, the lich moving around him and studying him like a piece of meat. In turn, giving a glance over, he wondered just what the lich can do. "And what spells can you do? Any proper fights you've been?"

A brief flash from a pagoda had him inching towards his weapon before settling down as Ayu quickly welcomed the new reinforcements, though it did little to instill any confidence in him.

@PaulHaynek @Enkryption

One was a fairy, so that put direct combat out and leaves her in the sneaky fights. Sure, he can appreciate an ambush or two but they'll need direct scrap when it matters.

"A puny fairy." He looked massively unimpressed at the diminutive flying fairy, as if looking at a bug.

@The Irish Tree

The other initially gave him some hope, though once she opened her mouth and started talking, Gringor can only stare from a stoic fashion into a deadpan one.

"And a mad boy." Gringor muttered as the two zipped off into their own quest to help out.

He then turned to Shizuka and Io, shaking his head. "We're going to work a lot harder to win."

Skarsneek of the Red Hills

@AzureKnight

Moving like a blur and taking the first one down, Skarsneek didn't even hesitate as he moved to the next one. Twin clubs were already in motion, twirling one as a way to distract while the other shot forward like a snake. Hit the one of the initial trio right in the gut before the other came to the back of the neck, enough force to knock the breath and give a shock down to the spine.

Once that was done, he swirled around to see more coming out from the inn. The one that took his attention the most was the ones at the window.

Snarling, he'll leave the ones swarming out to his wife. All of them bunched up just like that was a prime target.

So instead of retreating, Skarsneek dove forward instead. Knowing full well that he only had moments before the archers start firing.

Once close enough that the archers can't risk shooting their own, Skarsneek then slide with his knees forward and back to the ground. Low enough that he shot past all of them and even going past one between their legs. His clubs batting any spear that attempted to skewer him as quick jabs to the knees, thighs and heels burst outwards when he saw the chance.

A combination that at the very least, get them to slow down or hamstring then enough for a good follow up.

"Now!" Skarsneek yelled before propping his club to propelled him forward for extra range, hoping that Atsuha would be able to trap all of them. Or at least, enough that they're inconsequential. Hinami probably can handle two, same with Atsuha.

As for him? He was diving right into the inn for the archers and that woman, she had no weapons yet still had enough authority to command them. She was either a handmaiden or servant, which meant that she knew something.

Once past the inn doors, Skarsneek dove into one of the archers, his clubs twirling to intersect any arrows before lashing out a brutal strike to the gut first before another follow up to the knees. His senses sharpened to its extreme as he chased the other archer around. Using anything to distract them as he closed the distance quickly.

The moment he's done, Skarsneek begun his chase for the woman. While his nose was now where sharp as that brute of an orc, it was enough that he can track her.

---

Gringor of the Ironhide Tribe

The journey was quick and quiet as they finally reached the base, idly, Gringor felt a little smug since he managed to actually reach his destination and not fumbled around. After all, he had thought that he had taken a wrong turn somewhere but he pushed that aside. It all worked in his favor.

Though when they arrived, seeing the sight of a battle had him in the thrills, so much so he moved forward with no regard.

@Crowvette@AzureKnight

So it was with utter disappointment that when he reached there, it was already over and done. Sighing, he moved towards Shizuka and Io.

"So was the fight fun?" He questioned with a nod to the Zipangu swordsmen before nothing the new presence and quirked an eyebrow to her. "And who's this?"

For the latter however, she was just greeted with an impossibility since male Mamono don't exist. Yet one was standing here and now, half-naked, toned muscles, dressed with a far too short pants, arms and leg covering that seemed far more suitable for adults of questionable taste bordering on scandalous. Alongside a large axe on one shoulders, the proof of this monstrous trait was seen from the ears and tail swishing to one side similar to that of a wild boar.

"I got the tough boi," Gringor after receiving his answer would point a thumb towards Nobutada, currently conversing with Ayu. "He was tough, tougher than me. But I'm stronger, obviously."

"Also, those tin-can varjan are strong. Three of them come at me before tough boi there took them away from me." He huffed in annoyance, feeling cheated and deprived. It was an actual fight and one that he wanted to kept on going.

"It was fun."

Unbeknownst to him, Shizuka and Io got a glimpse of Gringor's full-on maniacal smile. Enjoying and loving this conflict to the fullest.

@PaulHaynek

When Ayu came, telling them that they can rest, help out the villagers or continue their search. The answer was obvious for Gringor.

"I'll find some more of the bois," He then mentally counted the three other ones, and tossed the axe upwards. The thing flipped once, then twice before it landed into the ground noisily.

Hmm. Gringor frowned, wishing that he had assigned another number instead when he realized that he had to find the sneaky ones. Kageho.

"Bah." Gringor growled, wondering where the vampire assigned to it went. Well, hopefully, this one will give more fight for him.

With that in mind, Gringor wandered around the forest. Looking for any weird or open clearings as Takeshi asked for. Throughout it all, his guard was up but it was still a frustrating event. Hopefully, he can quickly find them on the sheer fact that he's a monster and they try to take him out.

Anything to just alleviate this damn boredom.
@AzureKnight

Skarsneek of the Red Hill

After searching thoroughly, they found horse tracks that lead straight to the estate. Seeing those, it was a simple manner of following it back to the origin.

Though the actual journey itself was still lengthy as Skarsneek was on the trail. Sniffing the air occasionally to detect anything unusual but continued the hunt. It seemed that the perpetrators slacked on this or was confident enough that it wiped everyone out.

Then again, they nearly did. Skarsneek idly reminded himself as they headed to the Onrai region.

Heading into the deeper parts of the forest, Skarsneek finally found their clue as they came to a dinky-looking inn at the wayside.

Getting closer, he picked out a conversation occurring and slowed his breath.

Hmm, so they think she's dead? Good. Skarsneek quickly strategized, deducing that the female speaker is probably the one in-charge.

But orders? Did this mean there's still a mastermind behind this?

Doesn't matter, he'll unravel the one responsible by making sure the female gets captured first. The others, he can leave it to fate, Sorae or Hinami.

Maybe not Hinami, on second thought.

His thoughts was broken when Atsuha consulted him on their next move. Speaking low enough that they can't be heard, Skarsneek outlined their plan of action.

"Boffum." He blurted out directly and emphasized with a raised finger. Getting only confusion before he elaborated. "Spells and webs, I'll distract and smack them."

"Make sure they're captured alive. Be a little rough, its fine."

With that, Skarsneek quietly sneaked closer to the trio. His clubs at the ready and carefully, circled around them so that their backs would against Atsuha line of fire. Meanwhile, he was approached them from the other side to hem them in.

Like a panther, Skarsneek dared to get close as he can. Almost closer to arms reached as he hid and clung to any buildings to prevent them from seeing him.

A moment passed, and then, without hesitation, Skarsneek sprung from his spot like a lightning out of the blue. No words or screams, just pure instinct left. Clubs raised upwards for an attack as he aimed to isolate at least one of them. Didn't matter if it were man or woman, he'll fell on them.

Gringor of the Ironhide tribe

He gestured to Nobutada to get on with it as the latter led the way into the cellar. Following close-by and ears ready in case any of the Varjan came back for a second round or locked them into the cellar before setting it on fire.

Going deeper into the dark, Gringor eyes adjusted to it quickly and sniffed the air. A twitch of his eyes as he realized something was already off, plenty of humans stuck together underneath a cellar should've left a strong scent.

Yet there was barely any of that.

Even as Nobutada went to search for his brothers, Gringor took a quick look at the cellar that housed supplies. Regratably, it was empty. The Varjans had cleaned it out completely.

That was...annoying. Gringor tapped his head and maintained his wits despite the rising temper and placated it with deep breath.

Just in time for Nobutada to request him to lead the way.

Grunting and hefting his axe, Gringor twisted and quickly marched. Not even looking backwards to see if Nobutada can keep up with him.

His job was done here, he gathered only one but it was the tough one.

His pace set would be a grueling one as he made haste and went right for their meeting point. Only stopping once or twice to cover the tracks and mislead any pursuer should they follow.

Gringor would arrive at the meeting point to see Takeshi and co, assuming nothing happen in the way.
