Right, posted, anyone wants to hop on with Skarsneek for his quest, feel free.

I'm also hoping to get Gringor part done quickly so he can join in for the second day (Since he's still in the first day.).

Skarsneek of the Red Hill

Hmm.

Skarsneek kept to the shadows and hidden behind the walls as he quietly overheard everything about the two sisters' relationship and Hinami's odd behavior.

It'll certainly explain some of the details, he had thought the two was just born of an Echidna or misfortune in general.

But hearing that one turned into a mamono because of a spell to bring back the other? That certainly wasn't what he expected.

Turning his head upwards and letting out a sigh, he supposed he'll have to really step in this time.

Quietly, he moved away from them before returning, this time taking an obvious path and letting his footsteps be known as he trudged noisily around the corner.

"Hey, found ya!" He looked to them and acted like it he had just found them. Hands apart and moving to the two sisters. "Come on, let's get some rest. I bet you're all tired."

Gently wrapping a hand around both sister's waists, he led the way for them to where they can rest.

He did however look to Hinami for a moment before smiling. "Don't worry too much yea? If there's any problem, just rely on us."

"Same for you too, dear wife." He swiftly turned to Atsuha with a grin. "The two of you now are my beloved, and there's nothing I won't do for you both."

Even if it meant dying. Though that part went unsaid by Skarsneek as he pulled the two closer. He may be a scum but he kept his words.

After taking a quiet sleep and hopefully taking some tension off from Hinami, the next day came. Skarsneek was already up and about, giving himself a quick rinse and wipe before seeing what's for today mission.

He was just in time to see the numerous figures that came after being recruited, giving a salute and smile to Takamori, or at least, who he think Takamori is from the getup. "Heya, welcome to the fight, old man. We didn't desecrate it, we just refurnished it! That's all."

Then it was not long when Sorae came, and while he felt his mood soured, Skarsneek pushed it away quickly.

"Glad you can join us, Takeshi is in." He said and cleared a path respectfully but not before adding a little tidbit as she was about to walk past him. "And don't forget, We'll get the bastard together, and I get first dips on what to do this time. Else your ass will be smarting more than just my hand."

"But other than that! Welcome! Space is at premium, so you can always huddle in the stables, trees, and open air. Though my bed is always open for another~" Skarsneek teased before pointing to where Takeshi would be located.

With that out of the way, Skarsneek went through and see the temple and surrounding situation. It's getting cramped, food is going to be a problem, alongside hygiene and disease. They need to work fast to organize this thing out.

For now, he suppose they'll have to get some space.

Though during his thoughts, a request came to him.

No Place Like Home.

Hmm, if he can get them to clear off, then they could use the space if it's nearby enough.

"Aight lady! I'll kick them Varjan ass-I mean, I'll kick the man's ass-I'll solve the problem! Just you wait!" Skarsneek eagerly said a thumbs up, completely blurting his thoughts and words together as he skedaddle away.

Now he just got to find some companions for his job. He wonders if some are willing to join.

Gringor of the Ironhide tribe

A moment passed as Gringor stretched his senses, wondering if they really weren't going to respond to him and considered showing just how serious he was by chopping every tree in the vicinity.

Then something shimmered, or more accurately, the air itself twisted before giving way to reveal the sneaky one.

Well, a nice looking sneaky one in his opinion.

Resting his weapon against his shoulder and cracking his neck, idly shifting his foot once before answering her. "I'm Gringor, Ironhide tribe. Strongest and biggest."

"Your boss, Takeshi, lost a scrap against the Varjan. Now he's gathering all the other bois and looking for a second round," He explained curtly between the broken Zipangu language, slowly getting a bit more fluent. "I already crack Nobudata head in and he's ready to fight and get his other bald bois back. Good lad that one, big and strong."

He's stronger though, Gringor huffed inwardly at that. No one is stronger than he was, after all. Or at least, he will be stronger than them eventually.

"So you in, sneaky boi?" Gringor said before he adjusted his weapon and swing it downwards once lightly. "Or do I have to crack your head in too?"

The way she hide was nothing like he ever seen before, closest was the few high bounty-hunters sent to him but even they weren't this good.

A grin formed at the side of his lips, he looked forward in breaking that technique apart and crushing it. Unaware of how it came across as it looked like Gringor was looking for a reason and ready to jump into a tussle against Kageho if she disagree.
Golden River inn

Xiao Shan

Within Xincai, the hustle and bustling city, the Golden River Inn was full of martial artist of various backgrounds. Each of them was here for jobs, celebrating their success or drowning whatever misfortunes that they had in their task.

Strong incense filled the air, clanking of plates and chopsticks, and wine bowls repeatedly slammed on wooden tables by boisterous hands before being refilled.

At the corner of the inn at the first floor, a square table meant for four currently housed only one occupant. Not many are willing to share the same table due to their foreign appearance and warclub that rested against the wall, tall and large as they slowly sipped their own wine bowl, alongside a variety of dishes.

Adding to that, the blue hair and mask denoting a demonic face alongside the dominating presence along would have scared most people off, but those that do recognize the clothes and mask gave the owner a wider berth. Especially those of the orthodox martial artists that mingled here, giving a sharp glare from the corner of their eyes.

The young master of the Broken Mountain sect didn't show any inclination, opting to focus on their meal instead as they placed the cup down and continued to pick at the famous dishes in Xincai province.

For her, all this chaos and constant activity was just like home.

Hmm, a bit bland. Xiao Shan thought as she popped a piece of chicken with chili paste sauce. It was a much sharper flavor than what she usually tasted but she supposed this was expected. The spiciness wasn't close to what they serve in Hunan as she chase it away with another mouthful of wine.

At least the portion was generous enough that she can get her money's worth.

Picking the last portion down into her stomach, she wiped her mouth exposed from the mask. She slowly stood up and grabbed her warclub, sending some of the patrons to rest their hands on their weapons as she walked past them and down to the ground floor. Her far eastern style of clogs thumped on the floor lightly with each step before Xiao Shan looked at the board of jobs available.

Idly, she came across the one that requested for help in looking for someone. A Tang Yuying, the madwoman of Sichuan. More known for her odd behavior rather than her affinity for martial arts.

Sparks of curiosity came, wondering just how one would be known for her personality in the Jianghu than martial arts.

With that, Xiao Shan headed out northwest. Wondering just how this mad woman will be.

Skarsneek of the Red Hill

She didn't notice! That had Skarsneek happy as she didn't even mention about his gender!

"Right, this here is a goblin! Annoying, charming, and also the best at mischief!" He pointed to himself with a wink towards Yuki, introducing himself as he's probably the first goblin she saw in her life. "I'm also the sneakiest around here, so you want a place to have a break-in, I'm the best monster for the job!"

Then looking at Samael and Yuki interacting with one another. Skarsneek grinned ear to ear as he slide next to Samael and put his arm around his aslders like close friends did.

"Ey, I was also born and raised in the mountains! One of the eight, in fact." Skarsneek beamed as he pointed a thumb to himself before gently putting Samael forward. Letting the demon have some confidence boost with him at the back, whispering to him quietly. "Go get her."

Then afterward, he turned to Kerry, Lunatea and Takeshi.

"Right, I got to see a man about his dog. See ya for the night!" He announced to the rest of them, intent on retiring for the night but not before doing one little thing.

@AzureKnight

Finding the sisters, Skarsneek will try to see if he can get to meet and talk to Hinami alone. There's something bothering him for a while now and he intends to get to the root of it. After all, they're family now. Can't let small things grow into a large problem. He thought idly with both hands on his head.

Gringor of the Ironhide Tribe

Seeing the blue flames, Gringor eyes was blinded but the residual figures of were mages was still in his mind.

Not bothering to scream, he continued forward as air escaped his lungs but he moved on. Flames burnt him and hehasdoubt have only seconds to last startse he start to burn.

Yet Gringor slammed his foot forward! There was no retreat, he'll cut all of them down even if he was ashes! No retreat! Never!

Through the flames, his ax flashed forward and inches away from cutting down the shaman before he fell like a puppet with its string cut. Gringor ax merely doing superficial damage at that point as it harmlessly pushed the shaman's body back.

Ignoring that, Gringor turned before seeing all the other shamans in similar states. Idly, he patted the remaining flames and felt the stinging air on his skin. It was like it was rubbed raw.

Still, better than being roast pork, he supposed.

Looking around, taking a deep breath before bellowing outwards like a wild beast. His cry shattering the night silence, echoing far and wide across the jungle.

Once done, he recalled something about underboss Takeshi's words. Or the gist of it.

"Your bossman wears woman's clothing like Nike Maiko, Miso, Miko?" Gringor guessed, hoping that he got it somewhat correct. His guttural Zipangnese wasn't the best. "He sent me here to crack yer heads on why youz didn't come for the scrap at the beach."

Same, sorry but this weekend is swamping with work. I'll get something by Tuesday night or so.

@OwO

Finally got my CS up, sorry it took a bit.
@Zeroth i will fully review this later today (within like 16 hours)

<Snipped quote by Restalaan>

Characters would probably have some kind of personal goal they're working towards. It could be rebuilding their clan, it could be getting revenge for the death of someone from the war, it could just plain be exploring the world. The overarching goal of the story hasn't really been finalized since I plan to work around the initial group of characters, but it would generally involve accidentally becoming embroiled in a conspiracy about the war and figuring out some answers about the war.

In regards to faction, Almost, yea. You can have your character be of any faction. Martial alliance, recusant, scattered Heavenly Demonic Cult, independent. The only limit is probably currently being aligned with the Devil Clans, since that would paint a massive target and be a little unwieldy. Former Devil Clan is fine though. The main thing is that your character should, in theory, be able to wander in a theoretical neutral zone within the Jianghu and not be iced on the street.

Aight, I'll get to making the CS in a day or two.
