It's unlikely I'll submit a secondary application. I intentionally left my application somewhat vague because I don't think those finer details really matter too much, at least in so far as the character-driven story I want to tell. The above is just a general summation of a direction of travel. Kent can as easily not have the Helmet at all and rely on residual power from a lifetime of wearing it. Nabu can be existent or not (hence the "embers of Nabu's will" line) as far as I'm concerned.

I tend to avoid spelling that kind of thing out in character sheets because it removes some of the fun both in the writing and reading of things to come.

Perfectly fair and understandable. Honestly, the residual magic route was what I was thinking when considering how the concept could fit. Knowing you're fluid on the details so long as you get to tell your character-driven story helps in my considerations. Thank you.

Very interesting. I like the general concept and appreciate that you made sure to note his abilities were of a lower-tier for this. Admittedly, I'm not sure how to balance having Nabu around, even mitigated by Nelson's stubbornness. It would be a challenge, for sure, especially if/when his powers begin to return. Right now I'm concerned the helmet could become an issue in the future and may pose a problem with the greater plot down the road. But these are just my preliminary thoughts having only just read the sheet. I'll give it time to consider and mull things over and will treat it the same as any other app.

Just so I know, though, do you intend to submit a secondary?
Oh, Wraith's doing his personalized mini-reviews/comments again. I guess I need to post to get one, too.
@Retired

In light of some of the commentary regarding concepts and being wild with them, I've changed my secondary proposal.

I still have a copy of the Wildfire one though, if something more mainstream is the preference there.

Well. That's definitely wild and interesting. I'll have a think about that.

Gave these sheets an update, and hopefully that addresses the concerns raised. At the very least, it was a fun challenge nonetheless.

I like the changes, and they definitely address the concerns I had. This version of Hulk I can easily balance in a group setting and the change to Cap's world is appreciated. Thank you!
I think what made the original Exiles so interesting was that the team wasn't comprised solely of marque characters.

Funnily enough, not only were a lot of the more obscure ones (Mimic or Blink, say) actually the more interesting, but it gave the whole run this sense of genuine unpredictability. Anyone could get it. Kind of like the Suicide Squad. So as enthralling as I find "Diana Prince with Mjolnir" concepts, I have to say I love the really out of left field ones. Hopefully, I can add something along those lines before the deadline closes.

I feel the same. Not only is Exiles one of my favorite comics period, but Blink, Mimic, and Morph from that run are some of my favorite characters. I attempted a run in one of the fandom games a couple of years ago where Mimic was the leader of the X-Men, inspired by the Exiles version.

While I do love and enjoy seeing all these big-name interpretations being applied for, I am excited to see some of the more lesser-known and obscure characters get a chance in the limelight here.
To those who have expressed interest thus far, and any who come along next, what alternate worlds or concepts would you like to see? Whether it just be a character you like/think is underutilized and would like to see be the focus of a reality the group visits, or a story arc from the comics you felt didn't end properly and would want to see revisited, or something from our real-world history you think would create a unique reality had it gone a different way, etc.

While I have dozens of alternate realities already plotted out, I am interested and open to including others suggested here.

I think this app rightly speaks for itself.
Oh God oh fuck it's Season Two, now I actually have to post in the game I signed up for.

No you don't. I signed up three months ago and I've barely made progress.
Colour me interested. I've been hankering after an Exiles-style game for a while.

I'll have a proper read through the OOC thread and other people's sheets and see if I can come up with anything, but I'm pretty busy in real life at the moment so I don't want to overcommit myself.

I feel like this is the type of game where you can comfortably join without feeling overpressured. I care more for reliability and perseverance over rapid-fire posting. Quality over quantity with me. I find you get significantly fewer failed RPs and dropped players that way.

As noted in the opening post, I'm officially only looking to enforce one post per month for each player. And while I expect that there will be times where it's more frequent than that, there won't ever be pressure to churn out posts on a weekly basis. So, hopefully, this would be the sort of relaxed atmosphere that would suit you right now.

Somebody told me that I could get accepted in this. I already have a defined character, they aren't an Exile. But, maybe I could do something else to be in. I haven't read the rules and regs yet, but you know I will if I get accepted by way of submitting a character sheet.

So, what's up homeslice? Do I have to be an Exile?

uh, This may not be a character-wise exclusive thread. Excuse that. I confused this Marvel/DC cast for another.

I have sent you a message, please check your PMs.
