Mike woke up and stretched out as he thought about how today was the day he started his journey to be the best there ever was. He was going train his hardest and eventually become the champion of the entire region. Nothing was going to stop Raidowaves!

Mike then looked down at Claws who was asleep on his lap. Maybe he could wait a little while longer.

After sitting in bed for half an hour waiting for Claws to wake up, Mike decided enough was enough and got up, trying to not wake up his faithful companion. Having done so successfully, Mike got ready for the day as he suited up for the adventure ahead of him.

Mike and his Meowth left their home and began heading for the forest as the two of them were pretty sure they could take on anything in there. However Mike changed their direction when he saw Violet leave her own home with her Eevee. Mike had held a bit of a grudge against Violet ever since he had entered a local Pokémon contest a few years back and got utterly demolished by Violet's amazing performance.

"Yo Violet, lose any Pokémon contests lately?" Mike said in a feeble attempt to make himself look cool. Inversely Claws gave a friendly wave at Violet's Eevee.

Description(edits to picture above): Mike frequently wears sunglasses and dyes random streaks into his hair sometimes.
Inventory: 2 pokeballs, 2 potions
Pokemon: meowth (calls it Claws)
Personality: Most would describe Mike as 'edgy' in the most ironic way possible. Not many people like to hang out with him due to his 'I'm the best' attitude. He often talks about how great he and his Pokémon will be once he starts his journey. Mike has a deep yearning for friendship but due to his attitude he can't keep friends very long. He thinks that if he becomes the best at everything people will finally want to hang out with him.

Haru was a little put off by the other man's tone. Days without seeing another soul and the first one he comes across already doesn't seem to like him. While Haru's first impression of the man wasn't the greatest, it was understandable as this forsaken city had already begun to take its toll on Haru.

Haru quickened his pace so that he was walking a meter or two behind the other man. In an attempt to hopefully lighten the mood between the two of them, Haru tried his luck at changing the topic of their conversation.

"Do you believe the stories about this place? It being built by the gods and the like?" Haru asked as he stared up at the wall they were navigating then to one of the immaculate, jade towers.
