Current I'm a pretty good writer and former site staff; I still deal with imposter syndrome every time I log on. You're definitely not alone. And t's worth trying anyway.

Don't worry, D3AD ST4R, most of us feel like that. <33

I just finished The Secret History, a very Gen X book. Never Let Me Go before that, which I'd recommend to any writer outside the MFA atmosphere who wants to know emotonal restraint.

I can't replicate it either.

What browser and what version are you using?
Can't find a character concept that's working for me, I'm afraid. =/

Recall saying hi when I went into Spam a few times to bug Ricky.

But welcome back just the same!
Hello, Hello.
My name is Austin. I'm 19, in my sophomore year of college studying psychology. Yay, brain stuff! I promise I won't psychoanalyze you. Yet.

I'm not new to roleplaying, I've been doing serious roleplays since I was 14 or so. I'm really into slice of life, especially focusing on people and their individual relationships and motives. I also like sci-fi, superhero type roleplays which delve into the impact that outside forces and new dynamics affect society- did I just make that sound boring? I hope not. And, anyways, on the rare occasion, I do like a bit of crime / mystery thrown into the mix. I prefer a casual setup (I think), with long-term plot and some interpersonal development. If my range of preferences sounds narrow, you could likely convince me to try something new.

Since this seems like a community that's fairly active, I look forward to meeting new people and maybe even making a friend or two and having a good time here. Thanks for reading 😎.

P.S. BBCode is fun, haha

Welcome to the Guild! Don't hesitate if you have any questions.
Having spent a ton of time in the area, the military brat angle looks intriguing.
Hello there. I am considering porting over and remaking an old roleplay of mine from another website. I've managed to work my way through the formatting code differences, but now I'm curious as to whether or not my rp's old 'look' would work or be out of place on roleplayerguild.

The site that this rp was built on, it was common practice for roleplays to have a 'frontpage'. This would mean that the first page of the thread would be taken up with different sections of the roleplay's setup. Such as a spot for the introduction, a spot for the setting, a spot for rules, a spot for other random things. And then "reserve" posts would be saved up for the remainder until the front page was filled. Which was 15 posts in total. Most of these reserves for the sake of neatness.

I have noticed that here, all the information seems to be being put all into the first post of the OOC section.

I feel as though if I were to do that with the rp i've got, it would end up looking far too long for just one post, and possibly look messy and jumbled.

Would it be considered excessive or weird if I were to use the way of formatting I'm used to? With the separation of pieces on the frontpage of the OOC?

You actually have two posts to work with; the 0th Post and your 1st OOC post.
Either way, I'm guessing I better put in some OP guidelines, I'll edit the first post and link everyone back to it.

Very cool. Do keep in mind that whether or not someone gets action taken against them by site staff for violating OP guidelines is a judgment call for staff, not the thread originator.

Good luck!

Naw, they were (somewhat rightfully) responding to some almost-certainly-too-on-the-nose cheekiness from a very old member (this guy) who oughta know better, but that's just my read.

ointhatcase: quitit.

@Ruby@NuttsnBolts
erm, just to clarify, does this
<Snipped quote>
then not apply to poo flinging off topic, spam, and other boards?

It does not.
