Yep, looks good to me if the incident with the steelix/Jynx happened more than ten years ago, sometime around when he was 8 or younger. Otherwise, the wild pokemon probably wouldn't be helping them.

Yes! Agreed! And highly recommended too, actually!

Just a note on gym leaders: they aren't as major as your protagonist, so you don't really need to go into as much detail about them. They also don't need an inventory, because they're not traveling around (except for healing items, I guess...) and the age suggestion that I gave for protagonists doesn't apply. I'd actually suggest maybe... 25~50? I think that might work.

What do you think, Rune?

Sounds about right to me! True, they're not going to be doing that much travelling, since they are the gym leaders most of their time is gonna be spent in their gym doing gym battles! That said, they could make other minor appearances through the story, if the current arc/plot/story needs one! Obviously they'll have a few healing items. I think 25-50 would be about right.

Also, the pokemon they use will be determined by how many badges the challenger has, so you'll need to adjust your teams accordingly. Some trainers may not decide to battle a leader all at once. You're free to chose the type of gym and the pokemon they use.
