I mean, as ruthless and cold as Mien is, as long as you're pleasant enough towards her and don't fuck anything up she has no desire to do anyone harm. She is likely going to attempt to introduce herself as something other than what she actually is, so if Lea fucks that up she's likely to get shanked at some point.

As a medic though, she'll have pretty good leeway since Mien understands the value of such professions in a situation like this.

To be honest though, a lot of Miens behavior stems from abuse of the worst kinds and things I won't get into OOCly. She could perhaps learn to soften up a little with nudging in the right direction.

But I don't see that happening with this cast xD

Like all of her kind, she is covered in a thin layer of 'Slime' or 'Goo' that allows her to pretty much change her appearance into those of other species as she sees fit. Hers, is a silvery color and cool to the touch. Most humans would likely find her natural form to be on the 'exotically appealing' spectrum, considering her rather ample assets in most areas. Which of course, causes her no great end of amusement. She likes the attention. If one were to touch it - and lets be honest she likes being asked if people can touch her - it would feel cool, smooth, and somewhat pliable.

She dislikes people knowing both what she is, and what she looks like, however. Typically she takes a human form when dealing with others. Deception was a skill needed in her previous profession after all, and if people didn't know what you were or what you actually look like, it makes things so, so much easier as long as you could get past any high-tech security and whatnot.

Human Appearance

Her human form looks, well, a bit similar to what she actually looks like. Slightly shorter, with copper colored eyes and silvery white hair adorning her head typically tied back into a ponytail. She has a somewhat more slender and lithe build whilst looking like this, and typically uses a lower tone of voice than her usually more melodic voice.

N/A for now. She had a rather fancy high-tech Shortsword for close engagements, Arraxi made armor, and an illegally modified assault rifle she used to have. It was confiscated upon her arrest, and is likely still in the wreckage unless its been picked over by scavengers. She intends to reclaim it the first moment she gets.

Mien has a number of enhancements designed to help her do one thing: Espionage, Killing and getting away with it, and survive even mostly fatal wounds. Of course, none of these augments were given in a consensual manner, but they are useful regardless. She also has been given a few genetic modifications from a young age to help in certain 'asset' areas.

Type-N Nanomachines: These black market, self-replicating Arraxi make machines were designed for two purposes. Firstly, they act as both an immuno booster for keeping away sickness, cleaning the bloodstream of any unwanted foreign material such as poison and other toxins, etc. They generally are there for keeping Mien in top physical condition no matter what, and to promote the healing of wounds as well as muscle growth, earning a much more effective workout from even light exercise. A small cut could heal in minutes, a medium sized gash could heal completely in a day or two. Even a fatal wound, if treated correctly within time could be healed with just a small scar. They are fairly self autonomous and function well enough on their own. They are genetically 'locked' to Mien, however, and will not function for anyone else and will shut down the moment outside of her bloodstream. If scanned, they appear no different than any other standard human make machines of similar model.

While a normal person would only have them present in their bloodstream, they have also taken residence in Mien's outer covering of Goo, which leads to some interesting applications considering that these are, indeed, black-market nanomachines with a second deadly function. She comments they're the reason her goo is actually silver colored.

In short, Mien has top-human physical strength, reaction times, as well as better healing than most humans could possibly hope to have without having replaced limbs with artificial ones.

Neural Link Focus: NLF
Nervous system uplink via a small implant just above the right ear that's connected to her nervous system. It brings up a holographic display that can do a number of things similar to those with artificial eyes. Mostly, its for monitoring her own physical conditions, give limited readings about the conditions of the area, give her reads on technology and allows her to interface with them via wireless connections if she's close enough. It allows her control over the nanomachines present in her bloodstream and has an on-board computer that handles the more complex tasks after being given a command.

Unique Abilities:
Type-N Nanomachines:
As previously stated, they are black market and illegal for a reason. Traditionally, these model of Nanomachines were used to discreetly assassinate certain organics for either the Arraxi government. While at first they do function as something that can keep one extremely healthy and in peak physical condition, they have a second function that makes them rather dangerous. That function, is the complete and utter destruction of a creatures organic material. With the Neural Uplink she has a somewhat limited control over this function.

The ability of this function is dulled somewhat by the fact the nanomachines simply can not function outside of Mien's bloodstream or outer shell of goo, but it's still fairly dangerous for any organic to have a large amount on them. Once activated, they will eat away at organic material for about 1.5 seconds before shutting down completely, leaving only metal residue behind. For the most part, they do not affect Mien since with the help of the Uplink she can simply either shut them down or have the other nanomachines deal with them.

Machine Override:
While Miens' skill with understanding computer code and other such complexities are in question, it doesn't particularly matter when a computer can do most of those things for you. The uplink is able to hack machines via wireless connections and override them and give them a new set of commands. Wireless alarms, robots, etc. The only condition is that they must be capable of wireless communication. With enough time, it could theoretically hack almost anything. It can only have one open connection at a time though. Trying to do multiple things, typically ends with a severe headache and perhaps worse. She has never tested that theory.

Personality:
Confident, charismatic, and more than a little on the promiscuous side, Mien comes off as incredibly friendly most of the time - perhaps a bit overly so at times. The Sapishte greatly enjoys being around others and the general company of them, though some might find her company in particular a bit...not all that welcome. Since well, she flirts with pretty much everything with legs and seems to take a bit of enjoyment in making people uncomfortable and teasing them about certain subjects. Overall though, most of the time she comes off as a friendly ex-escort/prostitute having trouble adjusting to life outside of that particular industry. One should never take her teasing or words all to seriously, and you'll get along with her fine. If you happen to tease or flirt back, she'll be your new best friend.

Delve a bit deeper though, and you'd find that she's one of the rare Sapishte able to greatly hide her emotions from others. Mien is incredibly intelligent, calculating, manipulative, and above all sadistic and incredibly cruel when it comes to her own goals. She wants what she wants, and absolutely nothing will stand in her way. If she can't persuade the problem to join her through some means or join her...well. It won't be pretty.

She wasn't the head of a criminal organization for nothing, and intends to rebuild what she lost.

The Sapishte people aren't exactly the most advanced of the races, having only relatively recently become capable of spaceflight and most of the planet is comparatively low-tech compared to the rest of the races. The people themselves are often quite amicable and more or less an extremely honest people. Being unable to hide emotions well, make for poor liars and manipulators most of the time.

For the most part they are friendly, and have relatively good relations with the rest of the galaxy. Considering the high demand of people able to mostly take whatever form they want in certain less than reputable jobs, there is no shortage of demand for them in certain jobs.

Mien was born around 25 years ago on the planet, Glonelia, the humid and somewhat low tech, mostly jungle and swampy homeworld of the, Sapishte. She never had the intention to ever become a slaver, drug dealer, smuggler, murderer or hitman. Sometimes life deals people bad hands, and they have to make do.

Mienieve Shalloyth was your average Sapishte for most of her first years of life. The Sapishte, being the emotional people they were, were easy enough to grow up with. Generally the race of shapeshifters were viewed as an honest, if not somewhat promiscuous race by the rest of the galaxy considering their inability to hide their emotions all that well. It also typically made them poor liars and perhaps a bit easily manipulated, especially to those of other races with less than honest intentions.

Not hiding your emotions, was a concept that Mien could never understand, really.

From an early age she distinctly knew she was different from the rest of her peers. Where they had trouble hiding the slightest emotion whether it being happiness, joy, rage or lust, Mien always felt her own emotions were rather...muted, by comparison. Somewhat dulled, as if there was some sort of thick barrier between her and them. Not that she felt nothing mind you, she did, but they were always a bit dull in comparison to the rest of the Sapishte, and didn't know how to properly express them most of the time. Knowing the taboo though, she learned from an early age to be able to mimic the emotions expected of her quite well.

When she was around fifteen though, she made the mistake of lying. Now, a simple lie wouldn't have been too bad. Rather, she was dishonest about her feelings on something...and she was able to do it with a straight face, almost the exact opposite of the emotion she was feeling. The emotion in question? Would it surprise you if she said 'love?' She was asked out on a date by a guy and said yes. They date for a few months, even. The tricky thing about being unable to hide your emotions all that well, is that its difficult to lie about things like that. If you don't genuinely feel love towards someone, it should be readily apparent.

Unfortunately for the boy, Mien didn't feel anything other than both mild annoyance and...well, nothing really. Just another face in the crowd. She had no idea what she should do in such a situation, and in an attempt to appear normal perhaps didn't understand that her behavior wasn't exactly what 'love' looked like. Eventually he confronted her about this, and after the confrontation well...the boy was never heard from again. They found his body at the bottom of a river. She wasn't about to let him ruin her life, but in the end they found out anyways.

After a brief investigation she was both convicted of murder, but more importantly exiled. Supposedly, she was to be taken care of on earth at some human orphanage by a distant relative, but that didn't exactly go as planned. The handlers, both fearing and hating the 'mutant' decided to drug her, dump her in some random alleyway in some slums and let whatever happen, happen.

Of course, a fifteen year old girl in a shady slum with the ability to shapeshift made her a pretty...desirable target for certain undesirables. If it wasn't for the owner of a shady brothel taking her in for some less than morally correct purposes she probably would have ended up a lot worse. For the next five years she worked as one might expect of someone who lives in a brothel...as well as an assassin for the owners enemies.

Murder, drugs, and sex! The most fun things in the world.

Until she turned twenty, she honed both her combat abilities with magic, and both hand to hand combat. The owner of the brothel had expanded his business quite a bit with her help, making her take out his enemies and securing his position of power in the cities underworld as well as the higher class markets. Unfortunately for him, he hadn't turned a lost little girl into a mindless killing drone via abuse and other things like he had hoped.

She was merely biding her time.

For the next two years, she plotted under his nose. She gathered a few allies and people who were either dissatisfied with the status quo, or generally not happy with how things were going. She promised a few girls in the brothel that if they helped they could leave if they wanted. She said she'd end any dealings with drugs, slavery, and many other less desirable things.

After two years had passed, she initiated her little violent coup of his business. The news reports say the found his body hanging upside down from a skyscraper drowned, beheaded, and tortured. After she had control, what else to do but to tighten her iron grip on it? Those people working in the brothel she said could go home? She simply traded them away to some slavers for new stock. Those who helped her? Dealt with. Harshly.

She had successfully, at the age of 22, taken over one of the largest criminal organizations on earth and there was no one that could do anything about it. Drugs, illegal slavery, prostitution, smuggling and even a little mercenary work for certain interested parties. Anything illegal you can think of that could bring in profit, they had their hands in. For once in her life, she felt content. Joy, even. She laughed, staring down at the city from her penthouse apartment in the wealthiest part of the city.

She would have likely remained as its head for years, since the police were absolutely baffled. How did one catch a shape shifter who didn't even use her normal form inside her own home? Someone who always chose a different guise when going out? Not to mention meticulous enough to not leave any evidence or any ties to hit men or assassins being used. They didn't have anything they could convict her with despite knowing full well what she was up to.

One person she hired as someone to handle their more cyber-related crimes and other things, ended up squealin' like a pig to the cops after he was busted. Without giving her time to flee or clear house, they raided her house but she was ready. Having loyal people working for on the other end paid off sometimes. She put up a hell of a fight according to the police report. Killed at least a five cops, several security drones, and even managed to fatally wound the police chief. Having the best technologically advanced weapons one could buy from the Arraxi and a bit of magic paid off, really.

It wasn't enough, though.

In the end, she was subdued and arrested and had a one-way ticket to Alcatraz.

One of these days she's going to find that bastard who ratted her out.

And she's going to make him wish he was dead.

Goo Armor

On one hand, goo gets everywhere and can be rather messy and fun sometimes. On the other hand, with an affinity for liquids a Sapishte can do some pretty nifty things with their natural assets. For one, it allows a greater control over shape shifting on some level, and also allows them to change the density and properties of it a bit more. For example, Mien uses it as a natural armor in dangerous scenarios by increasing the density to become hard, light armor able to take light blows and lessen the damage of other ones.

Water Prison:

With a sufficient supply of water, Mien is able to construct a human-sized ball of water. It is mostly used for trapping single enemies and then applying massive, massive amounts of pressure until they either drown or are crushed by increasing pressure. Requires fairly large focus to use and a sufficiently large source of water, but once trapped its quite difficult for most humans to escape from unless her concentration is broken..
