Current I just can't. This is too much. Berserk was so influential on so many things that I love. Goodbye, Miura. You'll be missed by many.

Bio

Hello! Welcome to my little bio.

Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).

Have some dancing medjed.

Am fairly certain

Claire is gonna sneak onto that island xD

~Charlotte LaChance~

Charlotte stopped walking as Aislinn spoke. It became increasingly clear that perhaps this person was at least being somewhat serious, or at least she believed herself to be queen at the least. Cute comments and odd markings aside, a few things here were certain.

1. This 'Aislinn' was of the same people as Cait.
2. She was looking for Cait
3. Cait said returning for a few months might be a bad idea
4. She had no clue what this Aislinn was capable of.
5. The rabbit...said someone named Aislinn had started a search for something.
6. Conclusion: Aislinn was looking for Cait for some reason, and Cait likely didn't want to be found.

"First, you're not 'my queen', so I have no obligation to do anything for you." Charlotte placed both hands on her hips, leaning over slightly to put herself more on level with the smaller woman. Blue eyes stared at her in a somewhat cannoyed manner as she spoke. "Secondly, I don't know where Cait is." She continued. Not a lie - she didn't know where she was that exact moment. Lying completely about her would be bad though, since she seemed to already know. "Thirdly, I am busy," She poked Aislinn on the forehead with a single finger. "So I am not entertaining you." That said, Aislinn did mention the great mothers that Cait did. Maybe there was something she could do here? And if she went off wandering again, she might find Cait. Hm...Charlotte started walking again.

"Maybe if you help me though, I could finish earlier."

~Charlotte LaChance~

At least the walk helped her clear her head a bit. Being away from everyone - and everything - else always made clearing her head easier. So much easier to think without so much useless noise buzzing around. A few plants were picked up, placing them in her satchel with care after examination. For the most part, she ignored the animals. Fuzzy, little balls of fleas. At least there wasn't any dogs. She hated dogs most of all. Large, furry, mongrels...that liked...licking everything. Ugh. Eventually, finding a small stream she hadn't been to before she found a few plants. As she reached down to pick one up, something quite unexpected happened.

And whoever this 'Aislinn' was, was quite lucky she left most of her self-defense concoctions back in the cave. One does not simply 'surprise' someone out in the middle of a forest! Queen? Of all these lands? While not impossible, this particular queen didn't look very...queenly. Not that she didn't exactly have ever met any queens, but the barbarian tribes sometimes had queens, and that one nation to the south had an 'Empress'.

Standing up, it was clear from her look she didn't entirely believe her.

"I don't have time for you." Charlotte replied, ignoring this...woman completely. She was younger than even Cait, was, wasn't she? No way she could be queen, and even if she was, wasn't like Charlotte had any obligation to be overly nice to her. She walked past her, walking over to a fruit bearing bush nearby and plucking a few berries from its leaves.
~Livia~

Livia could barely hold back a small giggle as she watched Fia rather spectacularly fail. Well, the nightgown would need to be fixed, but that was nothing Cynthia couldn't handle. She motioned for Fia to try again, silently looking on as the child made another attempt. The second try went much better, and Livia smiled softly down at the phoenix. It was...refreshing really. A pleasant break from the norm. With a small sigh though, she pushed the thought from her head. She couldn't afford such pleasantries.

"Do you know what that flame of yours is, Fia?" Livia said, kneeling next to the child. "That is a pleasant, warm gift of yours. I know in the past the world has been less than kind to you, dear, but you shouldn't let such things cloud your judgement. There will come a time when you will be given a chance to help people with your fire, and I hope you will use it for their sake, not for selfish reasons or anyone else."

~Selvina & Co~

Stay down? Well, how could she argue when she had a dashing female soldier on top of her? Whatever magic the other mage had cast had been nullified. Quite likely saving her life. Quickly, she was roughly turned over and forced onto the ground. Oof, if this was in any other situation she'd quite enjoy this. Well. Actually, she was still enjoying it. No complaints here. The woman simply laid there. They weren't going to kill her from the sounds of it. Fools. Who in their right mind didn't kill an attacker? Ah well.

"E-erm, right!" Lyssa called out from the window, quickly running over to where Luna kept her things and grabbing the rope. She quickly followed the knight's fashion as she left, jumping out the window and landing on her feet quickly and quietly, running over to Luna and handing her the rope.

"U-uhm..." The demon still looked highly conflicted, as well as a little unsettled.

~Charlotte LaChance~

Affected...by the seasons? What that even meant, Charlotte had no clue. With a frown, she studied Cait. She had no reason not to trust the native, but...waiting made her annoyed. Always did. She could never sit still if there was something to be done about something. Its one of the reasons she disliked sleeping. Time could be better spent doing something else productive. This, was worse though. Made her annoyed. More than a little irritated as well.

"If I wait too long," Charlotte replied with a sigh, shaking her head. "I might not have a reason to be impatient. But fine. You know your people better than I." She looked towards the ground, frowning. Arguing likely wouldn't get her anywhere. If this was back in Astril she'd just waltz up to the deacon himself and make her demands easily enough. If that failed, she'd do it anyways. But perhaps she was being impatient. She was content to take her time, if a little once she had landed here. At least, enough to make a few things and get acquainted with the weather here. Sturdy rope, things to help her keep warm, illuminating fluid, preserved food...things like that. A few...specialty items to deal with any threats. She had all of that by now.

Another...month or so wouldn't hurt, but the waiting was going to kill her regardless. At least one could never be too prepared.

"I'm going to look for some plants." She needed to take her mind off things. Something, anything as long as she wasn't doing nothing. She started to walk off. Constantly being around this native was starting to become a drain, just a little. She really needed some alone time with some of her books or...well...

She missed the both of them.

~Charlotte LaChance~

At first, Charlotte didn't respond. She had indeed started to drift off, though it was of her own accord. As much as she didn't like sleeping, she had to at least have a small nap. At Cait's words she cracked open an eye, though she didn't seem too tried nor very emotive. At least, until Cait went and very obviously flirted with her. On one hand, it was nice. On the other hand, she should shove such mental images from her head. She gave a somewhat defeated sounding sigh, shaking her head.

"I'm fine. A mild one-hour nap is enough for me." She replied with a grunt. "The human body can do many things, with training." She didn't touch on the sentence at all, deciding it'd be best to ignore it. Right now she had something to do. She gave Cait her usual cool gaze before speaking.

"Your...'Great Mothers'..." She began, sounding a little unsure. "You say they could help me?" She questioned to confirm Cait's words. "Take me to them. Now."

~Charlotte LaChance~

"I'll sleep...later." She refrained from saying 'when she was dead'. Cait would probably find that statement very troubling, and she didn't want to put up with Cait's nonsense right now. "I have work I need to do. You should get some rest though...I'll be fine. Not my first all nighter and won't be the last." She couldn't sleep, not in the direction that last dream of hers was heading. She'd give it a few days before seriously sleeping again, and she'd be fine.

She shoved both the names and thoughts of other people from her head.

Unless Cait tried to do something else, Charlotte would work the rest of the night. The sound of bubbling liquids and the gentle scribbling of pen on paper would be the only thing she heard until well in the morning when Charlotte finally decided to rest. She left the cave, leaning on the outside of the cavern wall with her arms folded. She couldn't stay here any longer. She already had a basic understanding of the plants in the region. A few items were all she would need to make for a relatively safe trip and then she'd be ready to travel.

She just needed to know where she was going.

Small post, but for Now Mien's just going to be running. As long as the thing doesn't get too close for comfort, Felix has to not worry about getting tripped and left for dead~

Alright, so he wasn't going to be all trigger happy! Not that she minded a quick shot, but it was good he wanted to at least not be openly hostile. Plus, he seemed to be quite, heh, open. More fun for her then. Men were so easily distracted if you just showed them a little interest. Before she could make much more of a comment though, a loud roar echoed through the trees, heavy footfalls of some large animal making its presence known. Whatever it was, was large, angry, and likely quite hungry. All combinations of bad on anything.

"That is either a mating call, or it wants to nibble on us in not the fun way." She commented as she turned to face the massive beast as Felix turned to fire at it with his hand cannon. "I would much rather prefer the mating call, but I am fairly certain judging from the appetizer its the latter." A brief look at what power the cannon had and what it did to the beast pretty much confirmed they had no chance against it whatsoever. After quickly weight a few options in her head, she decided it'd be best for her own survival if she also helped Felix to survive, so long as nothing directly life threatening happened.

"And for a handsome man like you? Always open, darling." Immediately, she turned around and started sprinting in the opposite direction. She was fairly confident in her physical abilities, after all. She was probably on par with some of the galaxy's best physical athletes after all, so it wasn't like she wasn't out of shape. As long as they could find shelter in something temporarily and evade the beast they should be good. For the most part. Unless something unexpected happen, which judging from the string of events so far was quite likely.

"We should try and find some place to lose it!" She shouted.

Upon seeing the Skarmory, Claire had to visibly refrain from squeeing in excitement. In her typical fashion, she didn't wait for Eugene to try and help her up in the harness. Instead, she tried to get into it herself. Easy enough, right? Just a simple climb onto the back of a metal bird that could likely probably easily end her adorable little butt in a matter of seconds. Wasn't like she could screw this up, right? She placed one foot in the very visible step on the back and tried to make her way up.

Instructions unclear, leg caught in Skarmory wing.

By the time Eugene got around to helping her she had, indeed, managed to get onto the back of the skarmory. She was hanging upside down from the saddle, having accidentally slipped. The skarmory was simply glaring at her in a fairly unimpressed fashion. After a bit of help from Eugene though, she managed to do it with clear instructions and was sitting on the back of her giant metal bird. Claire was grinning eagerly in her usual fashion as Delphox waved them goodbye.

"Byeee foxy!~" She called out, waving to her as Laurinda headed back for the woods. "Go easy on her, alright! She was just makin' sure my cute butt didn't get killed by a swarm of angry beedrills!~" Turning her attention back to Eugene, she gave the man an equally bright grin. "Alright, yes yes, keep your arms and legs inside the giant metal bird at all times! Yip yip, blast off, tallyho and all that! Enough safety talk lets get going!~" Almost as soon as she finished speaking, her Skarmory lifted into the air at a somewhat fast pace, and soon they were high above route 2.

The view was absolutely fantastic.

They were swiftly leaving the forest, the thick trees of the infested woods seemingly growing darker the further in they got. Huh, mental note for later. She'd check it out later once she could go there herself. Maybe surprise Laurinda! Robe lady would definitely enjoy that, heh. Not long after to her left, pureplain stretched beneath them, suburbs and all. It was a lot bigger of a city than she gave credit from the ground.

Really, she should hurry up and get her a flying type so she could fly everywhere in style.

...and the thought quickly passed. Once she was up in the air and the momentary wonder if the view wore off, Claire was a bit bored. Smooth sailing, as they said. Hmm, this would be a good time to practice some aerial acrobatics for contests, wouldn't it? Surely that wasn't a terrible idea, hm? Thankfully, her skarmory had a lot more sense then she did and refused to 'do a barrel roll'. In one of her many attempts though, she spotted a rather mysterious island off the coast of the city.

Huh, curious. Her gamer instincts were telling her to ignore the main quest and thoroughly explore it. But...it was far out in the sea. Hm. She could swim? Heh, she'd need to by a swimsuit first but she could totally swim the distance. Totally, no problem. Wasn't like some silly sharpedo wanted to nibble on her. Making another mental note of where she wanted to explore for later after she strengthened herself up a bit, the Skarmory's began to descend.

People moved out of the way on the streets below as the flying metal deathbirds landed with a thud. Eugene was the first off as usual, and went about helping Yvonne off. She seemed a bit motion sick, though Claire was too busy once again trying to untangle herself from the saddle without aid. She had a better effort then last time, but her foot managed to get caught on the saddle in some fashion. After giving Eugene her best award-winning smile she was freed once again.

"So this is redcoast!" Claire excitedly grinned as she energetically looked all over the town, as much as she could see from where they had landed. "It's amazing! The beach is so close too-huuh?" There was a flash of red light as the pokeball containing Ralia opened, freeing the Ralts from its confines.

"Oh hey, Ralia!" Claire greeted her pokemon with her usual fashion, picking up the small pokemon with a grin. "We're here! Redcoast, and its absolutely fabulous. Hey hey, thanks Eugene." She said turning back to the pilot. "Yeah, I'll be fine form here. I'm thinking I'm gonna go to route 11 for a bit of training first, then hit the shops. Heh, I need to by some more clothes. Gotta look my best for the contests! So, hrm...actually, though. I have a question." Claire said, letting Ralia rest on her shoulder. "I saw an island on the way over here, just off the coast of the city. Any idea what that was?"
