Current I just can't. This is too much. Berserk was so influential on so many things that I love. Goodbye, Miura. You'll be missed by many.

Bio

Hello! Welcome to my little bio.

Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).

Have some dancing medjed.

Well if no one goes for it, and you wanna say they died.

Could say they were previously part of a team Maye was on. Could make for a conversation between the two and perhaps some problems with the two.

~Chieko Okawa~

Hero's District, Priestella
Death count: 1
Reset Count: 4

Chieko blinked.

Donovan just told them something rather amazing, didn't he? That was very useful information. If it could cure incense poisoning, then she could really help!

"Hmhm. Of course, of course I did well." She smiled under her scarf, glad to hear some form of praise. More importantly though, was that Quill person. Well, it was probably nothing...or was it? Chieko held her candle, quickly dousing the lit wick. If the words from the others were right, then they were attacked by cloaked people. Someone then set up candles in Donovan's place that then put others to sleep. Quill was here, and likely knew of the candles from Donovan's words.

Likely culprit?

Eh, didn't matter. Had fire magic now.

Chieko focused back on her candle.

"Goa!" Chieko tried pouring more energy into it this time, feeling the flow of her so called magic as she tried to light the candle once again, only for the entire thing to spontaneously combust. "Wah!" Chieko made a decidedly girly yelp as the entire candle nearly burned all at once, reflexively tossing the burning candle out of her hands...and careening right towards Quill's back as she left.

Mie Yukima

Below Ground - The Arena floor

Damn, she was hoping she could just put her particular set of lesser reputable skills to use, but no. These guards were the actual well trained sort. Not some rag tag group of thugs she had been expecting. Okay, that complicated matters just a bit. As Mie moved through the crowd, carrying a tray and while she may be new, she certainly seemed like she knew what she was doing. She was hoping to avoid some needless complications, but these guards just weren't going to let this be easy, were they?

"Apologies, my lord." Mie replied to their question with her usual playful grin, a soft, honeyed voice that one of the oldest profession in the book might have used to entice. "This little fox is known as Tsuki, and the kitten is known as Hana." She sorely hoped Elque would play along. Aliases were needed in this sort of operation.

Hm, access to this backroom may prove a useful opportunity to slip away.

Torrent was...complimenting her? Ash would be blushing slightly if her ugly lizard mug was capable of it.

"W-well, I will admittedly say that my knowledge of the sciences do not seem to translate well to this world." The Pygmy drake sighed, sitting next to Torrent as Digbie went through his evolution. "This world simply confuses me, if I am to be honest. Physics. Magic of all things. What I really want is a good place to sit and read a book on...well, everything about this world and a lab to experiment in."

No crystal though, unfortunate. Those things were made of pure mana, she wanted to see if she could somehow channel magic through it as an amplifier, or battery of sorts. If she could use it as an amplifier or conductor of some sort, it could greatly aid in learning magical affinities and abilities, she hoped.

"That said...trying this fire breath ability of yours should be done in an area with as little flammable things as possible, or nearby the stream so as to prevent any mishaps like earlier - but we can worry about that once we get ourselves a decent shelter sat up." She paused a moment glancing in the direction of Digbie's discarded bag. Hmm, well, perhaps he had one stuffed in there? Walking over, Ash stuck her nose in it. It was perhaps a bit rude to snoop, but she was curious if he had anything else she might be able to use.

Ah...he did!

Quickly, Ash grabbed it and pulled it from the satchel.

"Aha, he had one!~" Ash made a happy sounding laugh before walking back over, placing it on the ground in front of her. "Do you think he'll let me have it?" Ash questioned idly. She really hoped he did. If she could find a way to use it as a catalyst or some sort of refillable battery then it'd be a quite useful tool indeed. Not to mention perhaps she could find a way to grow them! She'd need some more information. Now that she was thinking about all the possible tests she could do she was growing more and more excited. Soon, Digbie was done with his evolving and had undergone quite the amazing transformation.

"Oh my...that is wonderful Digbie. You've done quite well, haven't you?" Ash mused lightly, immediately observing the goblin with her observational skills as well as using magic analysis on whatever spell he was just casting. "We'll be relying on you a lot, it seems. Now...I uhm, noticed you had this mana crystal in your things. You wouldn't mind if I have it would you? I would like to try something."

Blinking lightly, she raised her voice slightly and turned to move up stream.

"Oberon, Mourningstar! We should get moving and try to have ourselves something before sundown. A little more into the forest and a bit more upstream should be perfect for Torrent and Digbie to make us a good shelter for now."

Standing just outside of the offices beneath the control room, Alexis had busily been at work. She didn't have much to work with, but she'd make do. Ugh, last time she was in this situation she was in an old Cerberus base with just a dinky pistol, Cinnis, and a handful of grenades. Fun times, if only because of the explosion. She wasn't sure if she could pull another victory out of her ass, but damn it if she wasn't gonna try.

"More vital signatures in the area. More of Saris' people?"

"Maybe." Alexis replied gruffly, positioning one of her turrets near the edge of the offices, taking note of Lokea and the kids heading inside. Well, good. As irritated and annoyed as she was, she'd really be pissed if something happened to those kids. Fuck, she might just shoot Saris and then find whoever was leader of the Blue Suns and ventilate their brain. "Focus, Cinnis. Linked up?"

"Affirmative. Checking sensors...calibrating...all green. Turret is working at full capacity. I will gratefully use them to slaughter a countless number of fleshy things in blue armor."

Leaving that one at the door, Alexis quickly got to work on another one. She had a few on hand, but setting them up in strategic points was going to be a problem. No cover. No high ground. An overall shitty situation. Quickly finishing setting up the second, Alexis paused before heading inside the offices after Lokea and the kids after setting up another turret on the other end of the other end of the door.

Lets see them try to get in now.

Just one thing to make sure of...Alexis headed inside the offices herself, setting up a third turret off to the side. Just a little something in case some suns decided to get sneaky and the kids needed a bit of extra help. Now for the fun bits - Alexis pulled out some of the ammo for the Hydra she was carrying. Carrying ammo for it was a bitch. Heavy, limited supply, but damn if it wasn't powerful. With a little know how, you could turn it into a fun hand-held sized surprised for whoever was unlucky enough to piss you off. Alexis spent the next few minutes rigging the extra ammo into some portable grenades...gah, too bad she didn't have any movement sensors to make some mines. Oh well.

"Oi, Lokea. I left something for ya in the office if you need it. A fun little surprise if some suns decide to get tricky. Few quick and dirty grenades for ya." She quickly said over the short band to all parties.

"I hope they do. Watching their entrails splatter all over the floor would be most pleasing."

"Shut it, Cinnis - Everyone else, the turrets should be calibrated not to shoot your faces off. Just don't go doing anything stupid. I'll be out front with the turrets and the lifter bot." With that, Alexis grabbed the Hydra and her shiny new 'grenades' and sat in front of the office. This was going to be the best place for her, for now. All she had to do was wait.

She didn't have to wait for long.

"White glint? Seriously?" Alexis grunted, frowning beneath her helmet.

"Seems this rotund Volus' pockets and connections are deep indeed."

"Got it, Glint." She said over the comms. "Suns are here, folks! Lets show 'em a good time!"

Unfortunately for the suns, they were dealing with some pretty clever girls and boys. As soon as they made their appearance known, Cinnis had already taken control of the turrets he was linked up too, unleashing a volley of rounds right in their direction - and with machine precision, nearly mowing down three or four of them with relative ease. Alexis booked it to behind the transport mech, taking a few potshots at the suns with a surprising amount of accuracy. She was momentarily surprised by the Krogan showing up from nowhere...but that was a good distraction.

Ah, she was feeling much better already.

Smirking under her helmet, Alexis grabbed one of the hastily made grenades attached to her armor's belt...and chucked it right in the group of Suns that was just now starting to focus on the Krogan.

"HOPE YA LIKE FIREWORKS, JACKASSES!"

The hastily made explosive device left her hand...and clinked to the floor in front of them, before promptly blasting them all into a fine red mist.
