I just can't. This is too much. Berserk was so influential on so many things that I love. Goodbye, Miura. You'll be missed by many.

Bio
Hello! Welcome to my little bio.
Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).
After going back and re-reading my previous CS I realized I don't get to use this mischievous little demon that much...so I'll take back my previous statement and resubmit her. and looking over the characters we need a troublemaker
I forget what Aeon she would fall under, since apparently I hadn't wrote it down like a twit.
"Do I know you? No, I don't think so, But do you want to play anyways? No? Waaah? You'll make a little girl cry...That's too bad...I am Viola Rifei, pleasure to make your acquaintance."
Name: Viola Rifei
Age: 17
Gender: female
"Despite my appearance, I am not a child and would appreciate it if you did treat me as one...unless you plan on spoiling me. Then go ahead, hehe~"
Appearance: Standing at rather short five foot even and usually sporting a slightly mischievous, somewhat knowing seeming smirk, Viola is definitely not what one would call physically impressive. Slender, and lacking any sort of definite muscle. Sometimes, she is mistaken for a child because of her appearance. Her skin is free of any blemishes and markings of any kind. Her eyes are a dark grey color and sports black colored hair that falls well past her shoulders.
Clothing wise, she is a fan of rather complicated and somewhat eccentric and expensive dresses, preferring darker colors such as black, purple, and dark blue. Her current dress is a black dress, with white accents and red bows that falls to her waist where it meets a pair of black stockings and dress shoes. Why she chose to wear those instead of something more suiting is anyone guess. Some assume she's simply the child of a wealthy family and takes very good care of herself and is quite the pampered little brat, and doesn't know any better. She comments she simply likes the style.
Year: 2nd.
Rank: Novice
Room No.:
Personality: Viola...definitely does not behave the way her appearance might suggest. At first impression, she'd come off as incredibly formal and polite. Talk with her long enough though, and you'll find a somewhat self-centered, cynical, mischievous, somewhat playfully aggressive little girl who has a rather large seeming ego. However, this is just her attempting to be 'cute' or 'cheeky'. Truthfully, she doesn't take her own words to heart, and would never consider herself better than anyone.
After that, she is fairly friendly and likes meeting people and being around people, and also simply likes watching them for...entertainment purposes.
Another thing to note, would be an insatiable curiosity about anything and everything. Magic, history, technology...everything. While her physical skills are lacking, her academic studies and focus on such things likely make her one of the smarter persons in the school.
However, like with everyone, she does have her own vices and sins. Hers, is curiosity and a lust and love of all knowledge, and her rather cynical and logical outlook on life and people, despite her seeming playfulness. She, would do anything for the sake of knowledge, and her curiosity drives her to meddle in quite a number of affairs, especially ones that offer the most entertainment value. For the most part, they are likely to be harmless...but perhaps, it could get everyone into trouble one day.
She finds direct shows of force boring and pathetic, preferring the more subtle and less direct arts.
Magic Discipline:
Spirit Contractor/Summoner
Simply put, Viola is quite in tune with the spiritual forces of the world. Creatures that initially have no corporeal form, or possibly those creatures such as Naiads, Dryads, or Nymphs, she can usually communicate with on some level. This can offer her quite a bit of versatility when it comes to combat and skills, as each spirit offers her a differing set of abilities, usually. She may even 'Contract' a spirit, as in give it a physical form and have it become a permanent partner until she decides to terminate that contract.
Some things to keep in mind though, is that summoning spirits usually takes quite a while, depending on the skill of the summoner and the rank of the spirit. It is also a one time deal, the duration of their help only usually lasting for a brief moment in time, lasting typically anywhere from fifteen to thirty minutes. This can have quite the downside in a direct conflict, since she would require protection of some sort to be able to summon one. The power of the spirit varies, but typically they can be quite devastating against most foes. They may manifest themselves as a separate entity, or merely lend a fraction of their power to Viola for her to command themselves. Another spirit summoner could possibly force the spirit back to wherever it came as well, should they be skilled enough.
Contracting a spirit is entirely different, however. It requires the contractor to make a deal with the spirit, for whatever reason. Upon completion of the contract, the spirit begins living 'with' the mage, typically they start sharing a body, and their power is easily summoned by the mage. The contents of the contract can be anything the spirit or mage desire. This offers quite an advantage over simply summoning one for a duration of time. However, the downside is they are unable to summon another spirit for as long as this contract is taken, and they can only contract one, possibly two at the same time, and its sometimes quite a difficult process and the mage can sometimes get the bad end of the deal if they're not careful and are dealing with a less...nicely inclined spirit.
To contract one, it varies from spirit to spirit. It could be as simple as a binding, verbal agreement, or as bad as a seal signed in blood.
Currently, as a simple Novice she is capable enough. Summoning a spirit typically requires quite a bit of time, though and she would need to be quite careful when contracting a stronger one, and she currently doesn't have one. It is more difficult to forcibly send back a contracted spirit, as by law of the contract they are forbidden from leaving until they terminate the contract. It is possible to summon a particular 'entity' should one know its true name and whatever else one may need to call it to their side.
Equipment: Carries a journal on her, where she keeps up with various spells, rituals, and names of potentially interesting spirits she learned from her master.
Biography: Viola's life has been rather...mundane, if one counts being raised by a Mage who made it quite clear she wasn't her parent as mundane. That's not to say Livia wasn't a loving guardian figure, but she was incredibly strict and made sure Viola knew the meaning of the word 'Study' and 'Academics'. In fact, the two got along surprisingly well, with Viola's natural curiosity and propensity for things of the academic nature, save for the both of theirs rather...mischievous natures.
When she was ten, she started learning the practical applications of magic, starting with simply 'seeing' the spirits. When she was twelve, she started learning how to communicate with them, which was made difficult by the fact that each spirit sometimes had a different way to communicate. A different dialect, language, or sometimes they didn't communicate at all, depending on their origins. When fourteen, she summoned her first spirit under Livia's supervision.
That was about the extent of their relationship. Livia told her should should pursue her own studies after that. Viola of course, decided to take her up on that offer and has been studying at B.U.M. for the past year or so.
Master: Livia Fiore. A User of spirit herself, who insisted upon being called 'Mistress' when she was apprenticing under her. She taught her the basics and saw her through her first summoning, but after that Viola was on her own. Livia, and likewise Viola, are large believers in independent study and after making sure she knew everything in theory, she let Viola go and study on her own.
It's unlikely she will take another, unless the benefit would be too great for her to say no too.
If [Viola] was forced to sacrifice something important in order to move forward, it would be: Anything is fair game, it would just depend on if the sacrifice was worth it. Nothing is too valuable to lose, if what would be gained was of perceived equal value. Otherwise, she wouldn't take the deal.
If no one else would step up to the plate and this was an important matter, she'd step up to the plate without hesitation though.
If [Viola] was offered to have a single wish fulfilled, it would be: Simply put, Immortality. She would give up everything for the chance for it. A simple, age-old want that quite a few men have had in the past.
So I'm not gonna be recycling, which means I gotta come up with an entirely new character and stuff. Got some ideas, but fitting her magic disciplines into an Aeon may need a bit of finagling.
I'll get something up once I figure all that out and stuff~

...Was this what they called a 'Tsundere'? Chieko had to ask herself as Quill's attitude shifted from angry at a likely betrayal, to one of embarrassment at the thought of having a human rescue her. So far, she seemed to fit the description. Amusing thoughts aside though, Chieko turned her attention back to the 'Elder Sister' and their current predicament. They would have to round up the others? Urgh, this was just getting ridiculously and stupidly complicated.
Well, time to act the part again.
"...Mhm." Chieko fixed the Elder Sibling with a serious expression. "Quill speaks the truth. The information you have on us our clairvoyance isn't entirely correct. As Aerith stated we do not see a single future, but possible ones based on the current circumstances at hand, but we're not in a good place to elaborate." Chieko sighed. Urhg, she was tired. She wanted to flop down on a bed and spend all day playing video games, watching anime, and doting on her little sister.
"I did say I would agree to help you on a few conditions, which Quill agreed too. One - you do not involve the others. Two, I at least need some money and a place to stay, and ID's would be useful for moving around without getting constantly harassed by the guards. Three, I refuse to take part in any murder plots or other underhanded operations such as the ones you've had planned for us. Stalking. Potential murder. Assault. Kidnapping. If those conditions are acceptable, then I see no reason as to why I can not help you...though from your statement it seems that my first condition may not be doable."
Mie Yukima
Below Ground - The Chase
Ah, how regrettable that she left her poisons and weapons elsewhere. She really hadn't expected to run into the butterfly like this. Something something about being prepared and all that. Oh well, she had long since stopped caring about that sort of thing. Besides...improvisation was always fun. She was however, surprised to see Vertti cast some magic. The reports had said she had long since stopped after an accident. She could understand doing everything one could to survive against a threat you had no real hope of living against. Admirable, really.
Just made her want to crush those pathetic hopes and her life all the more.
As one might expect of someone of Mie's questionable background and training, the fox already had a plan by the time the mob had started forming. Mie didn't have quite the magical arsenal to propel herself over the crowd in the same manner Vertti did. No, her magical talents lied elsewhere, but she had vastly superior physical ability. One that a simple merchant should never have.
Mie wove through the crowd, expertly weaving through the fighters in the bar and making about as much progress as Lady Vertti was. But it wasn't fast enough. Mie leaped onto a table, vaulting herself into the air over the crowd of fighters. With an acrobatic flip she gripped the head of someone beneath her as she used them as a vaulting point to launch herself the rest of the way over - almost succeeding. She slammed into one of the patrons. Lucky for him, his face got slammed right between her legs.
Unlucky for him, the impact sent them both right to the ground, probably knocking him out and breaking something in the process. Mie rolled with it, coming to a stop where Vertti had lost the shoes. She was heading towards the end of the tunnel, the ext of the underground. Holding out a hand as she ran behind Vertti, a wild grin formed on Mie's lips as she spoke a single word.
"Shamak."
If successful, darkness should have enveloped Vertti to the point of her being unable to sense her surroundings. Just the ground under her feet and her body. Should be just enough to slow her down.
Aelsu reached the forest with little trouble, it seemed. The path wasn't too difficult, the trees of golden and red swaying gently in the cold air. Finding where they had come from, was easy. Much of the muddy ground and been disturbed. Hooves from horses digging deep into the soggy. Their hasty retreat made their path obvious. Broken branches and brambles easily marked the path they had retreated from. She was glad to see Kuri safe from mischief and wasn't currently getting up to any good.
What wasn't good though, was the silence this forest had. The Necromancer could take a cue from this forest, Aelsu mused silently. Not a peep from any animal it seemed. Aelsu didn't know much of actual hunting, tracking or survival. Never got the chance to really explore such things. She had made an attempt to learn with the order before coming here, but she was by no means an expert. Even so, she knew such a silence well. The silence one feels while standing in front of the gate to the fighting pit. A muted, uneasy silence that only brought danger after.
"This place is too silent." Aelsu hefted her spear, resting it on her shoulders as she frowned beneath her helmet, taking a slow, cautious pace into the forest, following the obvious path the scouts had left behind. "Kuri. Stay close and be ready."
Continuing forward, Aelsu kept her ears alert for any sign of danger.
Seleth frowned. This was...odd. Troubling. Something just wasn't sitting well with her. This entire situation just smelled of...wrongness. Not to mention that thing with Varjan. So far it seemed like everything was leading back to him...but what? What did it all mean? Seleth frowned, grinding her teeth together as she watched the two leave. Should she stop them? Maybe she should, but that wouldn't solve anything right now. She was still tired after that fight with the Princess, and she didn't want to poke a hornets nest as of now.
"...Nur," Seleth narrowed her eyes coolly at the other girl. "I'm not so thin skinned as to let a little insult get to me, besides," Seleth took a few steps closer to Nur. "Such feelings are natural for humans. Envy. Anger. Only a fool tries to deny it. I'd be lying if I said I didn't used to feel those things myself, almost every day when I was attending the academy. I can't tell you how many times I was both angry at myself, jealous of others for their freedom." Seleth sighed, electing to not elaborate on her own familiar situation and history for the moment. "Sometimes I, rather shamefully, even acted on such impulses." She locked eyes with Nur. "So tell me, Nur. Are you pathetic? Are you a fool? Are you so weak as to act on such impulses? You endure such insults daily. You are not as weak as you think you are. All you can do is make a promise to yourself to try to both be, and do better."
Yawning, Seleth stretched.
"Aaaah, that fight with the princess left me tired. You said you'd like to join me for some meditation earlier, hm? I'm not letting you take that back." Besides, she was worried about this whole thing still. She wasn't going to let Nur out of her sight if she could help it. Those fools wouldn't dare to cause trouble here in the Cathedral. She would bring down the full force of Lady Aylama on them if she had too.
"Any will do, yes." As Oberon began casting his magic, Ash did what she had before, watching Oberon play with his magic. After the experiment with the Mana crystal, she was almost certain there was something to this but she still didn't exactly know what. What was she even looking for? She really didn't know herself. Just some way to physically interact with Mana in order to see its chemical makeup, so to speak. She watched the magic flow from his body towards his hand. Making a simple ball, Oberon then began to change and experiment with it. Turning it into a cube, then back into a ball, then into a pyramid. He continue to make simple, small three dimensional shapes. He seemed to be getting fairly adept with Mana Shape. She should practice too, but always getting interrupted was making slow progress.
Ugh, she needed a lab.
"I see, thank you Oberon." Ash replied closing her eyes. She should probably meditate somewhat and get her Mana back as well. Argh, so much to do so little time. "I would suggest one of us goes gathering or hunting soon as well, but for now I'll be back in the shelter if anyone has need of me."
just a heads up, I'll be moving in the next two to three weeks, my posts might be a bit behind during that time, and afterwards I may lose internet access for a bit depending.
Hero's District, Priestella Death count: 1 Reset Count: 4
The next few seconds were a blur to Chieko. Everything had been going well. She had managed to not get dead, and everyone else was likely safe. They just had to sit tight and not do anything. The next instant, there was a flaming candle. A shout from Quill, and fire. She was then lifted by Hiro in an obvious brazen attempt to save her...and then she was lowered on the ground as a cloaked person approached them, talking about the same things Quill had been saying, and in her previous try.
Chieko, was furious.
They had been concerned for her. She understood that. They wanted to save her. She was grateful, certainly! But damn it this could have just put them all in danger! She didn't want that! She had been prepared to take the reigns on this herself! Perhaps it was arrogant, prideful, selfish, whatever you wanted to call it but they didn't need to do this!
Chieko exhaled as Aerith finished talking.
"...you are all idiots." Chieko replied, standing up straight as she locked eyes with Hiro and Aerith. "Do you like getting in peoples ways? Or were you just trying to selfishly play hero? I get it, I really do, since It would be hypocritical to say I didn't do the same, but I had everything under control! Every time I do something logical you all just get in the way! I realize you were trying to help, but next time have a little faith in me, would you? I had already convinced Quill to leave you all alone and that I was the only clairvoyant." After her brief tirade Chieko sighed, frowning lightly as she looked over to the cloaked woman assumed to be Fritzi. Well, she'd have to go along with it too now since Aerith said it aloud.
"Unfortunately for you, your information was not entirely correct." Chieko was probably going to regret what she was going to say. "Aerith isn't entirely wrong, but this isn't the place to discuss our situation or our abilities unless you want prying ears to hear it." She looked back over to the clinic.
...
"Not that it matters now. Someone tried to start a fire, and Quill hasn't come out yet. I will look for her. Don't try and help."
Mie Yukima
Below Ground - The Arena floor
Heh, it had just the effect she wanted. After that stunt, she definitely would have some of their attention. Now all she had to do was wait, play the wallflower and then get backstage access. She was pleased with the outcome, too. As she was lifted, Mie made no attempt to struggle. She was fairly certain her calculations were correct. Too much of a fool to see a problem and too much of a coward to even do something about it.
Mie was completely unbothered being lifted up, being sat on belriggers shoulders. He was such a funny man, unable to actually tell how to properly intimidate someone. It was far more than just size and strength. If anything, she enjoyed the brief extra height. Getting extra information on the layout of the place was extremely useful in case things go bad. She wasn't even listening to what Belrigger said. No. From atop her seat, she saw someone she had never expected to find down here in this cesspool.
Lady Vertti.
For the briefest of moments, their eyes locked. Vertti knew. A subtle grin formed on Mie's lips, eyes focused on the wealthy socialite. Her Associate. Her client. Friend. Vertti knew. Of course she did. Why else did she conveniently disappear, leaving poor little adorable rabbit by himself, at the mercy of a mischievous, playful, cruel, apathetic fox? She knew the wolves were closing in. Her name had been written, and thus her fate had been sealed.
Fufufu, how unexpectedly fortuitous. How delightful. How pleasurable...how infuriating.
How did she know? Who told her? Who leaked the information? She shouldn't know. Two...three people knew at best. The writer, the blade, and the client. She'd have to...fix that leak later. The fox couldn't let the little butterfly escape. She could never get tired of this feeling.
"Yes yes, sorry sorry." Mie sighed, hopping down from Belriggers shoulders. Unfortunately for Anyon, Mirt, and Elque, she could no longer help them. "This little fox doesn't quite know her place yet, fufu. Apologies..." She cast a glance over to Elque. "...Sorry, kitten. But unfortunately I have a change of plans." It was a bit dirty and impromptu, but if Vertti knew, then this might be the very last time she saw her ever again, and she couldn't have that now could she? Such a shame she didn't have her mask at least. She'd have to improvise.
First she needed to cause a different sort of scene. Something that would distract almost everyone...and what would be a good way to distract a some drunk ruffians in an underground bar? A bar fight, obviously.
Sauntering off a ways from Belrigger, Mie casually walked past a group of people drinking their money and health away who were heatedly arguing over who to bet on. Perfect. Mie picked up a mug full of alcohol from another table...and with scary precision, tossed it at full strength right into the face of one of the arguing people while his head was momentarily turned. The resulting effect should be obvious. No one minded a serving girl. Besides, by the time they had even turned in the foxes' direction, she had already vanished in the crowd herself with uncanny skill.
