Current I just can't. This is too much. Berserk was so influential on so many things that I love. Goodbye, Miura. You'll be missed by many.

Bio

Hello! Welcome to my little bio.

Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).

Have some dancing medjed.

Maye was restless, perhaps that's why she found herself going over the dossiers of the people once more. She had read them already a dozen times, but she was always like this when she worked with a new squad. Sunni and Parasite. A positive little bundle of helpful, focused energy. Her positive attitude would serve her well on the battlefield, and Parasite was a force to be reckoned with if used correctly. Carvis Greenscale and Zi-Ro. A reliable reptilian Uplift. Meryl and Exarch. Crevix and Langcastor. All Maye was at least comfortable working with. All survived a few low risk skirmishes before.

All except one.

Her eyes silently scanned over the dossier and documents relating to the King and Queen unit, unburned hand being used as a rest for her head. A complete unknown, and if she were to be honest...King completely confused Maye. Utterly. She didn't understand. From her few interactions with King, Maye couldn't understand her at all. Emotionless, robotic...Maye would even go so far as to say she was less human and more Shard, but that was not an insult she would even give to someone she hated. The rumors from those of the rest of the crew didn't help either - treated her like some kind of weirdo. Pathetic, for people supposed to be their allies.

The veteran pilot leaned back in her chair, scarred hand tapping lightly on the papers, glancing up at the ticking analog clock hanging upon her wall. She could feel it. Didn't need to even hear the commotion.

They crossed the Redline.

She could always tell, without even seeing it. She would never forget the Line. It had been etched into her very body and psyche dozens of times. She doubted that even when they defeated the Shard she would ever truly be free of it. But such was the sacrifice she was willing to make.

"Attention: all Pilots, proceed to Situation Room A for briefing. Briefing will start at 1900 hours. Thank you."

Well, that was something that could always bring a smile to her lips. Maye closed the folder, locking the confidential files in a desk drawer. Perhaps she'd get to kill some Shard today. waiting around like this was exceedingly boring, and she needed to shake off this restlessness.

Maye arrived in the briefing room shortly after, not having stopped for any idle chatter or small talk along the way. The veteran waltzed into the room, and without even trying somehow managed to draw the attention of all those in the room.

"Maye Bitar reporting for duty, Admiral Serrano." She took a quick look around the room, noticing only two of her squadron here first. King and Crevix. Her wide-eyed gaze lingered on King for just a moment, before focusing back on the Admiral. "I see the rest of those in the Squad are slacking off! I shall have to give them a lesson in punctuality later." She walked over to a better positioned that placed herself more center in the room so everyone could see her more easily.

"I trust you are calling us here because we shall be dispatched to take care of some Shard now that we have crossed the Red Line?"

Well that was...enlightening. Surprisingly, Digbie was able to handle the goblins fairly well. A welcome change of pace from their previous...problems with her companions. They had for now, avoided a fight at least. She did thing perhaps, Torrent was a bit too soon to spill the beans about rattles death, but it didn't seem to have too much of a difference, so for now, they were safe. For the rest of the evening, at least. Digbie chimed in on the matter before running off somewhere.

"...Hm, I'd rather not get involved with something like a goblin tribe." Ash replied with a sigh. "But Digbie has a point. Resources would be useful. And if they prove somewhat competent, they may be useful themselves. I'll be fine with going with them at least to see what they are up too. Now..." Turning her head to Oberon, Ash walked over towards the Pixie. "Oberon, think you could cast some magic for me? I'm currently working on something and I'd like your help with it."

Well things had just gone from bad to worse. Storm, check. Creepy rabbit things that wanted to kill them? Check. Death? Most likely. The poodle thing seemed not entirely hostile at least, but the things it was chasing most definitely were, and there were far too many of them to engage at the moment by themselves. She had zero combat ability as far as she could tell for the moment.

"What the hell are these things?" Vi gave Trevor's head a few annoyed pokes. He was an expert, right? He should know more about these things, then. "You, expert, better have a good explanation or I'ma steal your soul!"

Ah, food. Good for them. Less chances of them dying and all that. Though, less food for her if her assumptions were correct. Watching them starve might have been entertaining and filling short term, but long term she'd need to find something else. Vi was mostly silent as the others went about their business, making sure to keep watch for anything that might be trying to sneak up on them. That howling was not reassuring.

"Yea, we should get going." Vi said. "As much as I'd love to find out whatever is doing that howling, I like living....sort of." She chuckled lightly. "Can't really help though. Holding onto Trevor's head is about all I can do. I need to practice my hovering skills or something, otherwise I'ma be beat by a gentle breeze."

"Ralia, confusion!" Despite the attacks it had taken, Bellawesome didn't seem to be too bothered, but that thing was fast and it hit hard. She could stall, but that would just delay the inevitable so she was going to take it head on. It might have been reckless, but that was her plan for now.

"RRRRAAAAL!~" Summoning as much psychic energy as her little pokemon body could, Ralia turned towards her opponent and sent another blast of weak psychic energy towards the grass type.

What...was going on here? Seleth had desperately wanted a moment to collect her thoughts. Engage in prayer. Meditate a bit and maybe get something to eat. She was more than happy to share it with Nur as well...but what she wasn't happy about, was two apparent troublemakers standing right in her home. Curiously, they were not here to bother her, but rather Nur. Were they here to cause trouble for the poor girl some more? Either way, Seleth wouldn't have it. Not in her Cathedral.

"...I don't know what you two apparent troublemakers are here for," Seleth interjected with a sigh. "But if you don't recognize me then you have nothing but a single rock between your collective skulls." She stood up straight, giving both of the boys a cool look. "Seleth Thenri. recent victor against the princess in the tournament." Varjan's name was dropped, too. What did he have to do with this.

"I do not mind guests here in this holy place, but I will not tolerate troublemakers." Seleth narrowed her eyes at them. "...and Nur is currently under my watch. If you are here to cause trouble for her, then I will only ask you nicely once to leave." She was still concerned about Varjan and the others, but this situation was more immediate and she'd be a poor host if she left Nur to these two.
Assuming no one else gets a post out by tomorrow, I'll get one up tomorrow.

"You also get angry over nothing it seems." Aelsu grunted when the Necromancer was done. Well, whatever. Wasn't her problem. If they wanted to do fancy magic that was their purview. As far as she cared, they were making a fuss over nothing. But then, magic and spirits was something she had never interacted with before. Perhaps she should listen more to him? Too late now. He and Einarr had already walked off. Such was fine. Wasn't like she had ever worked on a team seriously before.

Probably better that way anyways.

Maybe she should find Kuri? The girl was well trained after all, she had done the training herself. She would probably be better off by her side instead of potentially getting up to no good, but if it was a demon or something else...Kuri didn't belong in a fight. That much was certain.

Grunted, Aelsu began walking towards the forest. Whatever was waiting there, if she found it she wasn't about to let it get the best of her.

~Forest outside the Cavern~

Ash frowned lightly. She could feel the muscles in her tail being used in ways that cold likely lead to it, so all she'd need to do is keep at it. Muscle training was easy. She'd need to do more of that later, come to think of it, but for now she'd focus on her tail. Picking up the stick once more with the aid of using magic to wrap her tail around it and work it, Ash turned her attention back to her other experiment. Did she make progress? For a second it seemed like there were little sparks of color, but she couldn't be sure.

Hmm. Perhaps she needed to see an actual magical object of some sort.

Vomiting up the Mana crystal she had been keeping, Ash observed it for a few seconds, once again trying to channel the magic towards her eyes. She would continue this for a few minutes, along with the tail exercises until she was snapped out of it by the sound of that horn again. Blinking in a mild daze as though someone might do once their concentration was broken, Ash scooped up the Mana Crystal again, before quietly moving towards the mouth of the cave.

Goblins. Again.

A low annoyed hiss. Seemed they wanted Digbie for something, and they seemed quite desperate as well. For now she'd watch. If things got ugly she'd have the element of surprise.

Trouble makers, that's what they were. Aelsu would have sighed audibly if she wasn't more interested in not causing trouble herself for the moment. Perhaps it was because she didn't understand the value in such pranks, but she had to say the mage was being incredibly childish. She was about to chime in herself when one of the injured men came stumbling out of the tents, using Einarr's shoulder to steady himself as he spoke in a strained voice. He went on to regale them of a tale of terror. Something that didn't quite match what she had overheard earlier.

Of course, the mage went on to speak to much again.

Traveling with him was going to put a strain on her nerves.

"You still speak too much," Aelsu grunted towards Lunearo. Honestly, she was rather amused by the fact Einarr would ask a former slave who had maybe been out of the Pits for just a few weeks if she had ever encountered anything in her 'travels'. She hadn't even seen an actual tree before the Order picked her up, and since then she had just been training and enjoying the small freedoms she had. "Demon, beast, whatever it is I don't know." But she would respond as well as she was able too. She wasn't sure what Lunearo was speaking of so much, but she was clever enough to put together what it wasn't if she could trust the mage's words. "If we can trust the mage's words, it isn't a demon. If it would scare off the wargs, then it isn't one. If it was smart enough to want them alive, then it would have killed the wargs and dragged them away."

Folding her arms, Aelsu turned her head in the direction of the forest.

"It matters little. I fought plenty of things in the Pits. Beasts. Men. As long as my spear can reach it, I can kill it. I've never seen a demon, but I doubt they are more terrifying than some of the beasts I've fought." Grunting, she began walking. "Sitting around talking about it will help no one."
