~"Mmm...well well, if it isn't our fair Prince. Out on a morning stroll are we? Catering to your adoring fans? You look oh so dashing in your uniform today Tohru-senpai."~ The red haired girl sneered with a sultry giggle. Asuka Hanazono, she knew the name well, just as much as she knew the girl the very name was given to. "Hanazono-san." Dryly she answered back. "I wasn't expecting to run into you this early." As if on instinct her eyes narrowed towards Asuka, her hand resting on the pommel of her blade. As always, Asuka was never absent her uchigatana, the long, slender curved sword nestled in a polished crimson saya, glinting fiendish as if a pool of freshly spilled blood. Twas a sight that made Tohru a tad nervous, same with those predatory blue eyes staring her down. ~"I thought I would...take a breather from my morning exercises, enjoy a bit of this lovely sunshine we're having."~ Asuka purred rather pleasantly, yet such malice Tohru could sense. ~"I wasn't expecting to run into an...old friend of mine."~ Friend? No...more like a target. Since the day she lost her beloved Chizuru, Tohru had always known Asuka had it out for her. ~"But I see you're busy, what with all these cute little darlings swooning over you dear Prince, and so, I shall leave you be."~ And with that, she sauntered away, but not before giving Tohru a slight peck on the cheek, a conniving gesture it was, nothing admirable about it. A kiss from a girl like Asuka, to Tohru...it might as well have been the poisonous bite of a serpent.

She stood there for a moment, perplexed with a haunted expression upon her face. However, the trance had been broken by a whisper,

"Hm, Ladies girl."

Raising an eyebrow, she turned to the girl, recognizing her as her dorm mate. She hadn't quite caught her name. "Ehm...what did you call me?"

Personality:
Charming and elegant, a very courtesan attitude. She could seduce you with just a few simple words or with just a look of her eyes. She does care for others and does what's necessary to help those in need, but when angered, her personality shifts and she becomes cold, relentless, and even violent. There is also a very cruel, deceitful, and domineering side of Asuka, as if any are to cross her or offend her in any way, she will be sure they pay dearly, either by slicing them to bits with her sword or outright destroying their reputations and making them undesirable to the academy. Despite her given prowess with a blade, she's not above using her womanly charms to get what she desires, and will always do so, believing herself to be irresistible to both men and women. However, it's become apparent to some that she enjoys the company of women more than men, possibly even a physical attraction to them. Though she is also sociable with men, she has a particular disdain for some, especially if they take advantage of a woman in any way or are cruel to them.

Background:
Of all the most prominent swordsmanship clans, none were more so than the Hanazono Family. Tracing their lineage all the way back to the bloody fray of the Sengoku Jidai, the Hanazono family were a dynasty of feudal lords and samurai who reigned over all of Japan, crushing their enemies beneath their terrible wake, the most fearsome of all being Asuka's namesake, her great ancestor, a powerful and vicious swordswoman who was given the grim moniker Akuma no Hime, Princess of Devils. Asuka herself was given that very title by her father, and through his cruel and often painful tutelage, Asuka became a full fledged warrior, willing to use any tactic to crush her enemies. Of course, it was all in preparation for Asuka to one day ascend the ranks and become head over her family. All that was left to prove her worth was to defeat their longtime nemesis, the Itagaki family and their heir, the famed Prince of Swords. Asuka, at first assuming she would be facing a man in battle, prepared herself, training day and night till her joints ached, her muscles swelled, and her fingers bled, but...when the day came when she and her annoying younger sister Chizuru arrived upon the grounds of Sabre Academy...the prince...turned out to be a girl....a girl Chizuru would later fall in love with.

Asuka was both angered and embarrassed by the spectacle, especially after Tohru had beaten her in a duel. To get back at her, she schemed to expose the forbidden romance between her and her sister, but...before she could act...tragedy had struck.

Amidst the thunder of a terrible storm, she heard the lamenting cry of Tohru from Chizuru's dorm. Quickly as her feet could carry her, she raced to the scene, only to find Tohru weeping and cradling in her arms the body of young Chizuru...impaled by an assassin's blade.

For her failure to protect her younger sister, Asuka was punished severely by her family before being banished from them forever. Now, she has followed Tohru to Claymore, blaming her for everything, her sister's death and her fall from grace. She seeks to prove her honor once more while exacting her most desired vengeance by only one goal, defeating the Prince of Claymore in battle and humiliating her forever.
