As a holy paladin, I can't say for certain PrinceAlexus is going to be smighted, but don't be surprised if you find him with a mace in his face.

A trap?

Well, it seemed that way to Rebecca as she and Camille followed the hybrid out into the cold of the night, a night that was only just beginning for the city that never sleeps, and for its many sordid inhabitants, both humans and supernaturals alike. A sigh of relief passed her lips contorting downward into a brief scowl, glad to be out of that rotten, disgusting hellhole of a place. Surrounded by so many lecherous individuals, and yet...here she was trying to lure one into her web, the black widow she was when it came to leading licentious men as he to their imminent deaths. But this one, she had no intentions of killing Vladimir...well... at least not yet.

An alleyway, derelict and dingy. This was his idea of a classy getaway? Please, he couldn't be any more obvious he was leading two lovely vampires into his own twisted trap. The irony that both were planning their moves one step of the way, as though two combatants merely moving their pawns, knights, bishops, and rooks across the chessboard, anticipating their opponents moves with the utmost suspicion as they glared across the board to one another...just waiting for the other...to slip.

~"Well,"~ She sassed, a hand placed on her hip as her eyes skimmed about the brick and mortar flanking her on both sides. ~"I'd hardly call this place classy, but you led us here. So...what did you have in mind?"~ An alluring grin as she licked her lips, yet on the inside tension, such irritable tension as she awaited his attack...or whatever else the filthy-blood had up his sleeve for her and her darling. She wondered if this man had ever heard of the Battle of Thermopylae, for the very tactic she felt was being used on her. No escape, except to turn back. Easily she could be boxed in...and that would be the end of her.

"Okay, great." Liz let out a timid giggle, already her face feeling like someone held a hair dryer to it on full blast. "So I'll uh...I'll see you around I guess." She didn't really think she looked that great herself, but apparently Jen was attracted to her. Maybe Liz was just the girl's type or something. It couldn't have been her personality or anything, since well...she was a bumbling mess just speaking to one girl. With a small wave she bid Jennifer goodbye and carried along, her cheeks still blushing at all those compliments the girl gave her. Damn...must've did something right. That chick was crawling all over me pretty much.

"Mhmm, no problem." Michael gave a short nod, taking a drag off his cigarette still in his mouth, about burned down to the filter at this point. He discarded it flicking the ember off the tips of his fingers, a brief exhale of smoke. "You need anything else, I ain't too far. Chances are I'll still be in this here alley, just drinking the day away." He grinned. "Hope your friend gets to feeling better. Oh and one more thing... be careful trying to get that medicine for her. Cops around here aren't too friendly." But his smile faded a tad, as if he knew well what the police did to the homeless around here.

"I-it's okay." Liz murmured shuffling her feet in the dirt, or rather just the small patch on the concrete. A habit of her biting her lip when she was either nervous or distressed. "Umm...what about later? Hanging out I mean." She said managing a small smile. Nothing much to show she did feel bad for upsetting Jennifer.

@LiegeLord

"Hmm....nausea, soreness of the chest and other areas, fits of coughing and chills..." For a moment or so he pondered scratching his chin. He knew what it was alright. It was common on base all the time, and damned he be to get it, especially out in the desert while wearing thirty pounds of gear in the hot sun. He looked to the young man, an assuring nod, "Sounds like your friend's got a touch of the flu. It ain't too bad, but if you leave it untreated, then it'll certainly be hell on her. My suggestion, just make sure she gets lots of rest and lots of fluids. You don't want her getting dehydrated. The pharmacy should have some flu medicine still in stock, just to keep down the symptoms, but the main thing is to make sure your friend gets plenty of sleep. That always takes care of the flu, well, it did for me when I got it on my last tour of duty. Damn, that was fun." He said with a light chuckle.

What....

What was this?

The vampire had given her all that she had wanted to know, every last grisly, grim detail he uttered through parsed lips, indeed in such agony he tried to obscure. But it was all too clear to the woman he was at his last moments, the very life she could sense undulating rapid and oh so violent in his body as he, the tall, mysterious creature, fought tooth and nail to grasp it away from the skeletal hands of Death coming forth from Hell to claim it as their own.

He told her everything about the coven running NOLA, about how he dispatched most of the major players, except for a Miss Elle Woodson. Rebecca would have to pay this woman a visit, but in the mean time...she had yet another to deal with, him.

And yet...here she stood, fangs clenched in anticipation, eyes filled with malice towards the despicable abomination that now cowered upon his knees before her, blood seeping from the bullet wound in his abdomen. The gun, the silver plated Beretta she had pressed to his forehead, her trigger finger inching back ever slowly, just waiting to hear that last bang, to hear the bullet of holy origin pierce the man's skull, bury into the soft meat of his brain, and kill him once and for all.

And yet.....

She couldn't. Try as the woman may, her finger would not move another inch to press down the hard metal trigger.

It was those words.... those very few words he spoke in hushed, dull tones, "Perhaps I should have put an end to her as well, but... I let her go. Perhaps it is because, I believe that, not everything deserves to die."

And it was those words alone.... not to mention the rather odd, sincere look to his eyes.... that made Rebecca drop her gun and sigh.

~"Camille....lower your weapon."~ She gave the order in a defeated whisper.

"But...but M-mistress?" Camille questioned, her catlike eyes widening a tad in astonishment. In all her days at the side of this lovely, strong, courageous woman, never had she been one to witness such a spectacle...Rebecca sparing a vampire. What her Mistress did next was even more of a shock.

~"I can't believe I'm doing this..."~ Reluctant the woman muttered under her breath, her gray coat slipping from her shoulders and crumpling into the dirt and grass beneath her. Beside the ailing creature she kneeled, inclining as close as she could to him, as if to offer something. And that something...why, her own neck, slim and fragile. She whispered after another begrudging sigh, unbuttoning her blouse, just a little bit to expose a generous portion of her pale flesh, ~"The blood of your own kind may not be the sweetest, but if you do not drink soon, surely your body will begin to deteriorate and crumble into nothing but ashes. I can't say I'm going to enjoy this, nor do I think keeping you alive will benefit me in some way or another. I am simply doing this, because like you, I too wish to protect that which is innocent."~

Now.....they were all gone....

She stood at the window, the last notes of her grand piano, the last lingering sounds before the dismal silence had set in, fading away into nothing, the strings ceasing their vibrations...just as she felt her heart had ceased to undulate in her chest so tight and full of such....despair. A small tear...that was all she could muster after shedding all, it fell down her cold, pale cheek, her face pressed against the frosted glass as she watched Marcella drift away from her, and gods knew where Cooper was.....and of course...Maxwell...

~"If...if this the future...then I could only wish, no...pray...that time will stop here...and never go any further..."~ She whispered, the thick satin curtain slipping from her frail hands, taking away the only source of pure light that illuminated the rather dim parlor...then obscuring it and the young woman...in deep, depressing shadows. She sighed, sitting back down at the piano, merely just playing whatever came to her...singing whatever her heart had felt. At the moment...everything.

Sadness....sadness towards going on without them, her sweet, endearing friendships she would have to break, and yes....even a romance that was never to be. Would she remember them? Marcella, the sweet and kindhearted Italian, Cooper, the spirited and funloving Metalheart, and....Maxwell...that handsome, smart young man who had stolen her heart the moment she laid eyes upon him. A heart....that would remain in pieces...till only the gods knew when.

Anger...anger towards that stupid machine for deciding their fates. Anger towards a worthless contraption that severed the threads that held them so close together and scattered them to the four winds as the dead, dry leaves in the eve of autumn. Anger for being cheated by destiny, to have those she loved and cherished the most taken from her very arms before her very eyes. A day that was supposed to be set aside for celebration, for such wonderful moments and cheerful revelry....just like that it had become the single most day Daniella would despise forever. Shall the day of her graduation go unmarked for all eternity, as it will be nothing more than a bitter memory to forsake...as though it never existed.

And finally.... regret. The truth is, yes, she would remember them always, her dearest friends and beloved, yet....she would never see them again. A fool she was to forsake Marcella at that last moment and turn her away, to shut herself away like this, to not race after Cooper and the others and give them one last goodbye, and....to not hold Maxwell in her arms...and tell him how much she loved him... And it was this regret...that devoured every inch of her, every part, every ounce that she was now pouring into this instrument and into her voice...until once more...she had broken into sobs.

They were gone....all of them..... and so was she....

After a while or so, she stood up from her piano, a tiny voice garnering her attention back to the window. Ah, Khalil, the young lad searched helplessly for his client, not once realizing he had passed by her window nearly six times calling for her. The girl was just in no mood to answer. Upon her hand, she dried the rest of her tears, and from the parlor, out the door she ventured. The sun, just like her companions, had disappeared, light now nearing darkness, warm air...now slightly colder than before. She shivered a little, Daniella, ambling down the steps onto the pathway, a bothersome sigh as she called out to him, ~"Khalil. Khalil, I'm over here."~

Mmm...so this is Vladimir. She thought taking a sip of her drink, upon hearing a man's voice, the dialect akin to one of the Eastern Bloc nations, or more to the point a native of Mother Russia herself. She knew it was him, the hybrid blood such a delectable scent for her to inhale, carving quite the devious little smirk across her luscious ruby lips. This was her target for the night. A sly batting of her eyelashes, she turned to him, her ice blue eyes gleaming, even through the dimness and thick smoke of the barroom. ~"What? A woman can't enjoy a little drink now and again?"~ Her words purred in such a sultry mannerism, as much as the persona she reflected and quite the body to match. A soft giggle she gave, slipping her arm around the blue haired newblood next to her, a few fingers casually caressing Camille's cheek already blushing a shade of rose. ~"Camille and I were just looking for some fun to be had this evening, but as far as I can tell, this place is a disappointment. It's such a bore."~ For a moment or so she feigned a small frown, just selling the act, then leaned in, another smouldering, seductive smirk as she whispered in his ear, ~"Know of a place we can have a good time, darling?"~. And if Vladdy-boy wasn't buying into it, Camille certainly was. Her blush, twas more inner anger than embarrassment, though part of her knew her Mistress was just baiting the hook to drag this hybrid in.

Still.... GRRRRRR!!!! If that sleazebag lays one hand on MY Mistress...ooooh...I'm gonna rip his dick off and shove it up his ass! Typical of her to be so jealous, giving quite the scowl to this Vlad fellow.
