For the most part, it's general element manipulation. However, usage of magic has drawbacks and different magic has different consequences. For example, using shadow magic does not allow you to summon things; rather, the drawback is that it lowers your character's sanity and they'll soon start to see things that shouldn't be there. But yes, you are allowed to be more creative in your usages of magic. Provided you run those creative juices with the GMs first.
Time to figure out how I can go deadman wonderland on this, other than making traps based on blood and crimson bullets for his pistol.

And I just realized how to make him a Blue Mage... maybe. Depends on if you find bludgeoning cruel beasts to death with a book and in return, procuring a certain type of... knowledge ok in your books.
I can't believe I missed my shot at joining the reboot! I remember having so much fun with this. Shucks! Well good luck with the reboot and if anyone drops out, let me know! :P

OMG. I was just browsing around and saw Snarl rebooting the Fate by Flowers rpg. That was soo much fun! I can't believe I missed jumping in on it!
