"Another victory for the Grand Magus!" Rubick cheered at the sight of Silitha disappearing and her spiderlings fleeing. He eyed the Brood Mother's spirit, wondering if he should lay claim to it. If he recalled correctly, incorporating spirits into oneself could grant access to newfound power. Being the knowledge-seeking magus he was, Rubick was keen to experience it for himself, and this seemed like this perfect spirit to try it with.

Before he could continue this train of thought further, though, the others were already making plans about their next course of action. "We're not following Sir Barnabee? That's a shame," Rubick remarked. "It would have been fascinating studying these bees' abilities." When it came time to gather the loot from the battle, Rubick's eyes were once again drawn to Silitha's spirit. He walked over to it, mesmerized at the sight of it. His mind raced with thoughts of its incredible potential. Rubick thought back to its teleportation ability, recognizing the great utility it could provide. If he recalled, Rubick could perform a Spirit Fusion with it. He looked back at Bowser, eyeing his various physical anomalies, then back at the spirit. Giggling, Rubick eagerly picked it up. He then summoned his Xweetok Wiggles to examine it as well. "What do you think, Wiggles?" Rubick asked him. Wiggles walked down Rubick's arm and gave the spirit a sniff, then shrugged, or at least performed the closest gesture of a shrug a Xweetok could.

Wiggles' ears then wiggled and pointed behind Rubick. Rubick turned to see the Koopa King changing his mind and deciding to help Barnabee and the bees after all. Putting Silitha's spirit away, Rubick walked back over to the gang. "Ah, so we are helping the bees after all, then," Rubick said. "Delightful!"
It's been ages since I've seen a Yugioh rp. Gonna put down some tentative interest here.

Rubick's mind was fuzzy, having finally returned to semiconsciousness. Everything sounded muffled, and his vision was blurry. Still, even he could tell in his current state of mind that a battle was taking place. As he knew he would very much like to avoid death, his first instinct was to get himself back into a functioning state. Rubick weakly reached into his robe and was soon able to find his Magic Wand, right where he always left it. He activated it, and a surge of energy coursed through his body, repairing some minor injuries and restoring full consciousness to his mind. And with that, Rubick finally remembered what had happened. The spiders were all around them, and Rubick had been just a tad slow to avoid the mother spider crashing down on them.

Rubick firmly planted the butt of his staff onto the ground, propping himself back up onto his feet. "Back onto the field! I have returned, friends!" Rubick announced. Unfortunately, he was drowned out by the sounds of combat still happening around him and the various projectiles flying toward them that he and the gang were bombarded with. Fortunately, they were saved by a bee knight person who parried away the incoming barrage with ease and counterattacked with his own. Eager to try it out for himself, Rubick pointed his staff at Barnabee and called out, "Yoink!" as he Power Stole the ability. "Ohhh, exotic!" Rubick said as his mind was filled with the information about it, and casted it alongside Mimi, who had also copied the ability for its own use, and doubled the barrage with his own bees.

"Wait for me, friends!" Rubick shouted as he followed Bowser and the Koopa Troop in the charge. "Arcanery!" Rubick casted his Fade Bolt at Silitha, intending to weaken the spider's attacks, and have the spell itself bounce onto any nearby enemies around her. He would then use his Power Steal on a Deephunter, copying its ability to spew venom. Rubick would wait until Primrose finished her attack, then proceed to Blink onto Silitha's head. "Over here~!" Rubick taunted her as he leaped off and sprayed a generous amount of venom toward her face. Right afterward, he would use his Power Steal on Silitha, copying her ability to teleport for himself. With that, he teleported away to relative safety, right next to Kamek. "Come now, Kamek, surely there are far more interesting spells in your repertoire you could cast," Rubick complained.
Oh no, not Teemo!

"That is my secret, Primrose," Rubick said as he turned to her and winked, placing a finger on his mask where his mouth would be. "I'm always expecting trouble." After the Koopa Troop arrived, Rubick was content to let them lead the way. There was plenty of webbing in the path ahead, and he did not want to deal with the hassle of removing it from his robes. Instead, he diverted his focus to observing his surroundings, heightening his senses in an effort to detect any changes. He had previously faced a large spider during the Defense of the Ancients, and the surrounding webbing only brought back unpleasant memories of being chased down by Broodmother and her baby spiderlings. Rubick was quick to notice the slight but steady rise in volume in the ambient audio, and pointed out, "Is it getting louder?"

His worry was quickly justified as the group was set upon by a giant spider and a large cluster of smaller but still terrifyingly large spiders. Rubick would've been the first to run, but with the skittering noise coming from all directions and the group holding their position, he wasn't going anywhere yet. Unlike the others, Rubick held his fire. Without knowing specifically where to aim as well as the lack of a proper aoe ability, Rubick was a sitting duck at this point. However, the Koopa Troop managed to regain their composure and began using more effective attacks on the surrounding enemies. Rubick used his Power Steal on Bowser, copying the ability to unleash that sonic blast, but decided not to use it himself just yet. For now, it seemed the group had it handled, but Rubick would be ready to respond to whatever the spiders decided to throw at them.

"Hmm... interesting..." Rubick said as he stared quizzically at Ganondorf's sword. Was it truly the source of the extra magical power he was sensing? Rubick guessed that it wasn't. Call it intuition, but Rubick believed Ganondorf was hiding a secret. Well, Rubick just so happened to be a seeker of knowledge, and secret knowledge was his favorite kind. Whatever this giant man was hiding, Rubick intended to be the first to find out.

Bowser and the Koopa Troop, meanwhile, had a bone to pick with the Gerudo King, and they would soon enter combat. Rubick quickly retreated to a safe distance and sat down on an elevated piece of rock, eager to spectate the show. They began to exchange blows, and Rubick made mental notes of their abilities, intent on learning what he could about them. Perhaps, even use a few of them himself in the future.

The shining triangle was what truly caught Rubick's full attention, though. He realized it was that particular energy he had sensed earlier. Whatever it was, it evidently granted Ganondorf incredible power as it allowed him to overpower Bowser, and it only grew stronger once he was Friend Hearted.

Rubick clapped enthusiastically as he walked over to Ganondorf along with everyone else watching the fight. "That was a wonderous sight to behold!" he exclaimed. "You simply must tell me more about this... triangle of power you possess! What an aura it has!"

Once the excitement finally died down, Rubick made his way through the passage Primrose was observing. The atmosphere of the area was... unsettling, for lack of a better word. Even for the mishmash of a world he currently inhabited, the location was so... unnatural. Rubick kept his staff at the ready, preparing himself for any dangers that would inevitably come their way.

"Oh my. That was terrible," Rubick groaned, having suffered greatly from the recent battle. Fortunately, his Tranquil Boots and the healing spells going around fixed him right back up. The Consul ambushing them was unfortunate enough, but he was really disappointed with his performance in the fight with the various animals down in these depths. Even with everyone's spells to rely on, Rubick just didn't have the durability to outlast his opponent. He knew he would have to do better next time.

Rubick then noticed Nadia and some others running off, prompting him to follow them. He was curious about what they were doing. When they arrived, Rubick was greeted with the sight of a large man standing above a pile of ash with his blade in the middle of it. It was easy to assume the man had just killed something, and it was confirmed by Ganondorf himself, but that wasn't Rubick's main concern. Rubick could feel something about Ganondorf. Beneath that rugged warrior physique, there was a faint yet powerful magical energy emanating from him. Bowser himself knew the man as well, and described him as an "evil fellow". Rubick couldn't help but chuckle. All of this only served to pique Rubick's curiosity further; he could tell this fellow was going to be interesting.

"Incredible," Rubick said, staring intently at Ganondorf. "There are such fascinating energies coming from you. Clearly dark in nature, yet there is also something else in there... what is that...?" he asked. Rubick guessed it was some kind of magical artifact, but he had no way of knowing for certain without seeing it.

Michael was equally confused about Lynnwell, not really sure what to make of her. Past the glamourous catgirl exterior with a ye-olden tongue, she commanded an aura of authority and intimidation. Michael was certain she had the power to back up her threats earlier as well. All in all, a nasty woman that Michael wanted no part in. It then occurred to him that he was coming across many problematic girls lately. There was Vera, the pink-haired girl with an attitude problem, Mina, the well-endowed cowgirl with a missing brain, and now Lynnwell, a ferocious catgirl in desperate need of a declawing.

Now that Michael really thought about it, Lynnwell seemed... familiar? He wasn't sure why; they've certainly never met before. Maybe she was someone famous. But what was it about her...

Alex broke Michael out of his thoughts as she said her farewells "Oh, yeah, see ya," Michael said, waving to her. Clausewitz, was it? That crazy-strict school? If Michael recalled, Alex knew someone called Wolf or someone who went there. Strange name, too.

This also meant that Michael had nothing to do now. While pondering his next course of action, his mind returned to the topic of Lynnwell. There was just something so familiar about her, but exactly what that was kept escaping his grasp. As he walked, he came across a statue of St. Laurel himself. He recalled that Lynnwell paid quite a bit of homage to the man, as if she knew him herself. Then, Michael finally recalled the fragment of knowledge he had been searching for.

"Lyngurium Lie...?" Michael muttered out loud. Perhaps Lynnwell was a descendent of that person.
Actually, I'm not. I just had a few ideas about how to play Rubick in the coming battle, but I decided against it.
