So I have been on the Guild for a long, long, long, long, long, long, LONG time. I first joined the OldGuild around, my best guess would be 2012? I've been active in the Star Wars scene on the Guild since then, there have been very few games based around that genre that I haven't at least nosed my way in on. My very first game was a Star Wars game and that's what actually really got me into the Star Wars Franchise.

It's weird to think but I am such a major Star Wars nerd these days, yet before I was on the Guild I wasn't. I got into a Star Wars RP, got onto the Wikia, and then away I went into a spiral of nerd-om that I currently live within. I've grown since then, I game quite a bit, I write when I can. I have a wikia full of a lore to my own original creative universe and play around with some 'cool' comic book nerds.

It is a time during the Rebellion. Fighting is erupting all over the galaxy as pockets of resistance rise up to fight against the Empire. People don't know who could be an ally or an enemy agent, suspicion, pain and war spread across the Galaxy in ways not seen since the Clone Wars. However this fighting is a lot more terrifying. The Empire will quash anyone who doesn't move fast enough, who shows the hint of following the enemy and those against the Empire face incredible odds.

Where do you fit in?

We're the underworld. Mercenaries, Bounty Hunters, Smugglers and thieves and it's time to work for a living.

---

This RP will focus around the adventure of a gang of criminals banded together by greed during the Galactic Civil War.

Yes there's going to be plot but I'm going to be quite lenient on this RP to see where we end up. If you're putting in a Character just post in the tab the basics. I will approve/deny you based on how well you structure your strengths or weaknesses. Don't feel the need to elaborate on their history I'll find out IC. However if you start pulling batshit crazy stuff out of your ass, expect to be shut down pretty quick.

Basic Rules

1) I won't kill you, but if you do crazy stunts you will probably die.
2) We're going to be playing loose and fast but if I give a GM ruling it's final.
3) No FORCE USERS.
4) I will accept TWO Mandalorians. Try to be more original.
5) Try not to be too cliché
6) Have fun.

Any questions?
Since this is @Fallenreaper's RP I'll go with the GM decision as to what characters are allowed. If anyone would like to play a Star Wars themed roleplay not focussed around Force user characters then we could always start up another thread with a similar backstory and call it a spin-off. :)

Though it's in a completely unrelated setting... but meh.

many good options there, @Howler. Prisoners is, for reasons that are logical (to us at least) the group that will be largest.

Just don't forget that Jedi don't easily fall to the dark side. The previous version of Aftermath had one player fall just from being threatened by a Sith Lord. Not exactly strength of character or will, eh?

Another think to keep in mind is that the best fighters would not be on Coruscant during the sacking. The few truly skilled warriors there, were part of the temple defenders. But that doesn't mean he can't be decent at combat. To be taken prisoner, he (or she) will, logically enough, have to be defeated at least once.

If you've got questions, feel free to drop by the IRC.

EDIT: Lurker spotted, @King Kindred

Or Alternatively there can be a good reason for you being on Coruscant during the sacking. Such as my own. Though my char was never "uberelitefighter" he could at least hold his own.
Now it is down to two.

Maybe it's down to three?

This guy doesn't think much...
"I'm a soldier and I know it..."
I'll assume you have a general plot then? Even not, I love Star Wars, so my proverbial hat goes in the proverbial pile.

I do, though I won't be above people making their own little side stories.

I'll probably work on an OOC tonight.
Excellent to hear.

Feel free to drop by the IRC. All the GMs are on there now.

Or are you?
<Snipped quote by SimplyJohn>

We much rather keep the focus on force users due to the fact the story is primary focusing on the differences between those two fractions, namely how far you can push the gray area before you're considered a Jedi or Sith. Including motivation and reasons for their paths and points of view on it. It would be harder to show and explore with non force users when they aren't directly connected to the story's main purpose. They don't need to worry about being tempted to one side or the other because in the struggle between two, a non force user's support makes little difference in their war.

<Snipped quote by SimplyJohn>

As Sep said, in this era most force users are being snatched up fairly quickly because of the war. Namley to keep the other side from getting them from my understanding.

And Ellri answered the other.

OR DID WE?

Or did you just IMAGINE us doing it?
I am at work right now, will likely work on a sheet afterwards.
