So I have been on the Guild for a long, long, long, long, long, long, LONG time. I first joined the OldGuild around, my best guess would be 2012? I've been active in the Star Wars scene on the Guild since then, there have been very few games based around that genre that I haven't at least nosed my way in on. My very first game was a Star Wars game and that's what actually really got me into the Star Wars Franchise.
It's weird to think but I am such a major Star Wars nerd these days, yet before I was on the Guild I wasn't. I got into a Star Wars RP, got onto the Wikia, and then away I went into a spiral of nerd-om that I currently live within. I've grown since then, I game quite a bit, I write when I can. I have a wikia full of a lore to my own original creative universe and play around with some 'cool' comic book nerds.
Eww. I thought it looked terribad, but now this confirms it.
Why the hell can't they ever do Dr. Doom properly? He's such a cool character. I swear, between the bleak colour pallet and this silly plot tweaking, I think they're trying to do what DC is doing, which never works well unless your name is Christopher Nolan and your villain doesn't have the most memetastic voice in the world.
Because when I think about it it makes sense, he's such a big and powerful character that if they do him right and properly.
LolGoodbyeFantasticFour
Which is a good thing as he wants to save the world...
But also his powerbase doesn't make sense outside of the main marvel storyline, I mean he's a cross between Dr.Strange and Iron Man with the tactical knowledge and physical prowess of Captain America and the political savvy off someone really good at politics. The tech can easily fit into F4 but the magic would seem outta place.
I don't care about the four, they need to give Doom back to marvel.
We've got no facts for it, so we have no opinion yet.
turning him into a hacktivist could possibly work, and it would certainly fit a type of role that is popular today.
"Dislike".
Computer hacking fine, hacktivist no. Plus his look, voice and powerbase.
-Shivers-
Nah he felt cause Dr.Strange is going to be played by benedict cumberbatch that he was just going to break down the barriers between the MCU, X-Men and F4 and everything would just work and make sense.
Fantastic Four, he thinks the new Doom being a hacktivist is cool. He also thinks that somehow Dr.Strange will join all the universes perfectly without ay problems because Benedict Cumberbatch is so amazing and hot and sexy and awesome, did I mention sexy?
He kinda pissed me off with his lack of common sense and knowledge of how money and big companies work, also how copyright works.
To address powers- Generally any power is accepted, bar time travel, reality manipulation, and things of the sort. However, please don't make your powers too powerful. If your character has the capacity to bench press a city block or has powers strong enough to make battleship plating look like paper mache, that's too strong. Someone of about Spider-Man level and perhaps a tad more powerful is alright, though I'll take more powerful characters into consideration. Also, the stronger your character is, the more well written your character sheet must be. You must also have some sort of weakness to balance out powers. This rule is to prevent people fresh out of Free from running around willy-nilly with extremely strong powers out the wazoo.
Might want to tone it down there skipyy, Spider-man is an immensly powerful hero. :P
<Snipped quote by Sep> Yeah I mean by colour! Well i guess that's true. However I'm pretty sure that there's a "latino" skin colour as it's been used before, plus the hair colour? Honestly, despite what i said, I'm not really that bothered about it but I guess it would be nice to have the detail right? idk
Well if that's the case I may post as America sooner than planned. On that note though, @Dedonus did you have any ideas with my mention of Howard the Duck in my last post and my idea of having him be an NPC? Of course that would only be until someone decided to claim him!
In the games browns tend to come out wrong I've noticed before, and the colours always look more cartoony. Besides like many of the other universes the Marvel Lego Universe is an entity in its own right.
when reading Spider-verse with all the other spider-men I at least caught climpse off (Though weren't part of the story) I was really hoping to notice a Lego Spider-man xD
Apolgies, it seems that I'm currently behind in a few of my RPs currently! I was planning on not posting as America until it's morning IC as I thought it would make more sense chronologically? Only because I know Dedonus is having Spider-Man meet Mary Jane, etc. With Iceman however, I'll probably get one more post in, before having him return to the mansion. That post should be up either Friday or Saturday I'm afraid!
On another note... Ms America is going to be in the Lego Avengers game! :D Sure I'm so pissed that she's been whitewashed, but luckily it seems that they've been listening to the fans as they're changing it! So excited as I'm finally going to be able to play as her, albeit that it's in Lego form!
Do you mean Whitewash like colour? And if so in terms of Lego it's hard to get different skin tones in :P
Also we got people posting at different times, I think it only really batters when people meet up that they know what time it is, right @Dedonus?
Of course. But, do you mean Batman like this or Batman like this? Either one is fine, though I'd prefer the first one. The second one is still perfectly okay, but if you rely that heavily on tech, have fun trying to take care of it.
So, it seems that it has been closer to a year since the event of world-ending proportion has happened. What sort of apocalypse would you guys prefer? Options being:
1- Nuclear apocalypse. IMO this would be the most generic 2- Some kind of hyper deadly virus. The only people left are the ones who happened to have a immunity in thier genes. This would allow for enough people to be dead to convey the "holy shit, its the apocalypse" but leave enough alive that we could still form a cohesive story about civilizations battling each other. 3- Totally catastrophic super villain attack of world ending proportions.
Of the three, which would you all most like? If you feel as though you have a better idea for it, feel free to bring it up, but please still say which of these three is most preferable to you.
3 or alternatively world ending Asteroid, that way we can have the cold weather (similar to a nuclear fallout thanks to dustcloud), there'll be a mass00v hole somewhere, earth quakes woulda taken out a lot of people (As well as the actual meteor hit and shockwave), plus tsunamis and then the crater and any residue can be a fun plot devices.
Plus while a lot of people are dead, not every country would instantly fail quite a lot of them would just erupt into chaos (unless you want multiple meteor hits) and with the damage to infrastructure, lack of sunlight and dropping tempratures everything else would begin to fall apart.
