Overview: The esteemed professor of the business and commerce studies, quite a popular man among women, but only until they work with him. His policies and ethics are ruthless in efficiency and effectiveness, making him a difficult man to keep up with, as such it can be expected that those who study and train closely under him are just as skilled as he is. He is a master of ice magic, summoning, rituals, swordsmanship, and bartitsu.

Tier: Master

Combat Data: Kreydon is a master of general ice magic, as well as his family's brand of it. He has a distinction in his ability to summon, as well as some light necromancy skill, allowing him to create allies in combat. It makes him a decent yet very strict teacher when teaching magic, and as a result of his summoning and necromancy skill, will often forgo fighting himself, leaving his summons and reanimations to do the work. Not to say his CQC abilities are bad, in fact they're excellent, and often catch many of his opponents off-guard when they finally fight through his minions.

If a spell or some other factor you're using is down to chance, then feel free, otherwise I'd like to minimize it's usage.

All the numbers are mainly for creating a character, and are reference to which you can figure out if x is stronger/weaker than y.

The Skill System is generally done now. More than enough to get started with at least, but do remember if there are problems along the way I can modify it.

Skill System

SKILL SYSTEM

The purpose of skills is to be an indicator of the knowledge that you have attained, not necessarily the techniques you know or the spells you can cast. Anyone can learn the incantation of a spell, but it doesn’t necessarily mean they can cast it. Simply put, having Skills simply means you are knowledgeable of it, and knowledge is the first step. Once you have knowledge, Techniques and Spells related to that skill become open for you to learn and use.

To learn Skills, you will be required to spend points. The general costs are as below.

• Major Skills. These can cost 3, 5, or 7 skill points, depending on the skill.
  
  • Standard Skills [3 points] These are accessible by anyone.
  • Advanced Skills [5 points] These are compound skills that require prerequisites.
  • Secret Skills [7 points] These only become available under special circumstances.
• Minor Skills cost 2 points to learn.
• Mastery Skills. This requires you to have a Level 3 skill, and the effect is different depending on if it is Magic, or a Martial Art. A Mastery cannot be upgraded, but multiple can be acquired with every 3 levels in the Major Skill. The cost for Mastery is only equal to the Learn cost for the Major Skill it is from.

Skills can also be upgraded, and the upgrade cost increases as the level gets higher.

• Major Skills
  
  • Upgrading from Level 1 to 2 costs equal to the cost of learning it. (eg. If the Major skill costs 5 to learn, then it will cost 5 to upgrade)
  • Upgrading from Level 2 to 3 costs double the previous cost. (eg. If it cost 5 to upgrade to 2, then it costs 10 to upgrade it to 3)
  • Upgrading to level 4 and beyond costs the same as the Level 2 to 3. This can be done continuously.
• Minor Skills
  
  • Modifiers and Training skills cost only 2 points to upgrade no matter the level.

Final Note. Minor and Major skills can be leveled to at max level 99. The effects or benefit for having very high level Major Skills is in obtaining a wider tree, while high level Minor Skills is expanding or enhancing what it is you have. Some Minor Skills scale with level (eg. Multiplier modifier may multiply your spells by far more with a higher level).

Incantations can be done in any language as long as intent and meaning remains the same or is close enough.

@stone There is an overarching plot yes. But for the most part, these arcs will be for learning more about the world and such.

@Anakin Vampires would be an Independent. Lower level normal vampires are mainly what you'd expect, but as you can also expect, there are the true vampires as well. If you wanna know more about them I can tell you in a DM.

This RP has arcs, one of which delves into that topic, so I'd rather people don't learn of it until it's time to.
