@Letter Bee Mainly the logic of your character's motivations, and the independents need adjustment. We'll be discussing that. Also your minor and major skills will need adjustments too.

Ah right.

I'd also like to take this chance to just say that minor and major skill costs have not yet been decided, but they are certainly not 1 for 1.

I ask you wait a bit for that while I figure out how to class them. For now you can really just say what spell/spell tree/arts you'd like to know.

The likely costs though off the top of my head is...
  • Learning a new Major Skill costs 3 skill points
  • Upgrading a Major Skill costs another 3 points and increasingly more with each level to a certain point.
  • Learning a Minor Skill new or old or upgrade will always cost between 1-3 depending on the Minor Skill.

The idea is it'll be easy to obtain numerous Minor Skills to enhance your Major Skills, but Major Skills do open you up to many new varieties and even combinations.

Using the above reference, perhaps try to adjust your starting Skills based on just those, while I fine tune it.
@Ithradine I should perhaps mention elves are exceedingly rare, there are in fact lore reasons for it too. I have yet to draft a race list with full description.

Anyways, generally, classic fantasy races are considered ancient races, this includes Dwarves, Elves, Fae, Merpeople, and so on. They have left behind a large amount of ruins and such though. Not that they cannot be played as, just don't expect me to let you if someone else already is one.

The races we can currently play are...

@Anakin@stone@ERode

Important to read.

For the start I'd like initial players to make characters of Highschool age, that being about 15-19, generally. As the RP goes on, other age ranges and professions will become available as the power scaling ramps up.

The ruling is you will only have one MAIN character. I can allow this to change ONCE. Your main character is basically the one you will keep track of in terms of stats and skills, and all of that. You can make as many supporting characters as you'd like, and you can even put your future Main character inside your supporting cast if you'd like.

I've added a somewhat loose guide to how strong to make supporting characters, if anyone has need of that. It'll also be in the Character Sheet section as well.

@Anakin That's entirely possible.

@stone I'm trying to include a lot under a blanket system.

For everyone involved, feel free to ask me questions or for help on character creation, or discuss your ideas with me.
@stone I've updated with some examples of basic Ritual spells and completed the Control spells examples.

If you want to draft a character or two I'm willing. I expect this RP will have few players to start with.
I've begun work on the locations. I think next realistically is some of the teachers, and adding their spells to the compendium and such.

@stone Thanks. The idea is the records will get bigger the more characters are made for the RP. Of course I also have to keep an eye on characters being entered.

Silver Gate Academy

The prestigious Academy of Silvergate, the centre of the small city of Rindou, upon the island Seidoujima.

Silvergate Academy is a prestigious school, possessing grades from primary through to university years. Having stood there for many decades already, it is known simply as an exclusive institution to the modern world. Behind it’s many strange or bizarre screening processes, is the simple truth that this Academy is a school for magic and the furthering of martial and academic skills alike, in not just the greater modern world, but also the magical world of Arcanis Mundus.

Within the halls of Silvergate Academy lies a portal to the magical world, wherein students can traverse semi-freely, with obvious regulations in place, however many excursions within the Academy are conducted within the magical world itself. The students of this Academy come from not just the world around it, but from the magical world too, as such the demographic of the Academy is quite unique.

Battle Map

The southern entrance burst with activity as Trace and Bel made the first move, the defending axeman may have survived Trace's advance, but the arrow found it's mark just as he was catching his breath. The front remained strong, but perhaps not for too long as the armored bandit marched towards the wyvern rider in the center. Branna found herself being advanced upon as the big bandit made his attack, while the remaining axe bandit accompanying him brought up his rear.

The breach was under a fair amount of duress as the bandits by the throne advanced. The leader didn't seem phased by Einar's taunt, but his peons seemed to take it a bit harder as they swung at him, fighting for the dignity of their now tattered crew. Given the difference in weapons, the bandit's attacks were limited in how they could viably swing it in this thin doorway. It would be very simply for Einar to simply thrust, an action not available to axes. Furthermore even if he had to retreat, both Artemisia and Alnard had the rear with their magic.

One such bandit made himself vulnerable as he attempted to strike at Einar.
@King Cosmos
Arsenic Island

Henrietta's attack left the group of Pokemon scattered and scared, quickly catching the ire of the Roselia. In response to the Poison Sting, Roselia answered with her own. For a moment it seemed as if it was equal, the poison tipped stinger of the Gligar met the barb coming out of Roselia's red rose, but the reality soon weighed in as Gregor was sent flying back. This Roselia was... Quite strong. Cautiously the other Pokemon watched from the bushes, just out of sight.

Silumin Reserve

To get into Silumin Reserve it required one to go through the university. It was a short walk from the eastern entrance, lined with small stores and some student dorms. It was a large, wide street, leading all the way to the forest, which was also gated by some guards. This was a reserve after all, and all entry and exit needed to be accounted for, so all Estelle had to do was register her name. Trainers were generally allowed to do whatever they wished within the reserve as long as they didn't break the rules, that being just no littering, no damaging wildlife, over-catching, and so on and so forth.

This was a beautiful forest, once in awhile you could see a ranger, sometimes the same one over multiple sightings, patrolling and keeping the place nice and secure. There were certainly some set paths, there was a small square near the entrance where trainers could rest up, as well as some lesser-used side paths, although they came with warnings.

The well-beaten path seemed to not hold many wild Pokemon, as one would expect, but many could be seen from the paths, peeking out or just occasionally coming into view.
