PERSONALITY

Jael is everything one would expect from a succubus; alluring, charming in voice and manner, and strangely convincing even outside of employing her power. She has a whimsical sense of humor that has a sick edge to it, especially when humans are expended at her whim and pleasure. True to nature of a half-blood demoness of lust, she has a forward and aggressive flirtatious side which holds no exclusivity.

BIOGRAPHY

The daughter of the demon Asmodeus and an Satanic occult head, Jael was born into the realm of mortals. Jael's mother was sacrificed moments after the birthing and offered to Asmodeus as a thanks to him. Jael was raised and educated by the cult in the seclusion of their sanctuary. At eighteen Jael charmed and manipulated a lowly initiate of the cult to murder the rest of the cultist in their sleep and burn them as a sacrifice to her father.

The cultist did so in hope of the blessing of Jael and her father. When the pyre was lit and the collective dead, Jael then had sex with the initiate. In the climactic moment Jael slit the throat of the initiate and then threw his bloodied body into the inferno. Impressed, Asmodeus gave his daughter her own companion. A familiar from the demon realm itself. Jael set the entire sanctuary ablaze and then departed with her new familiar to stalk the earth.

These days Jael works as a stripper, in her spare time seducing and manipulating humans to commit murders and acts of general cruelty and depravity. When not doing this she takes her familiar for walks on the beach and in the woods to maul and sadistically brutalize campers and outdoor enthusiasts.

MASTER THIEF.

Born to a wealthy Chinese father and an American mother, Kara was raised in a life of privilege and prestige in Hong Kong. At Age seven, Kara's parents were killed by Triad due to her father having past dealings with them. (Notably as muscle and an intimidation factor in his early business days.) Kara was taken in by her uncle, a renowned martial artist in Beijing who raised her as his own.

At eighteen Kara went after the Red Lotus Triad, the organization responsible for her parents' death. Despite her uncle's warnings of seeking revenge Kara used her martial arts training to kill the Triad boss Sin Yun and his men. In retaliation, the Red Lotus attacked her uncle in his home and kidnapped him and warned Kara to meet with them or her uncle would die. Kara did as ordered, only for her uncle to killed in front of her before the Red Lotus immediately attacked her. Blind with rage and grief, Kara butchered the Red Lotus boss Tan Jiang and his men in a whirlwind before setting their estate aflame.

After burying her uncle Kara fled China and came to the United States using forged documents and money left to her by her uncle and parents. Around the age of twenty Kara turned to a life of crime, using her super speed, dexterity, and cunning to make a living as a master thief. Dubbing herself as "Scarlet Shadow". Many of the most daring and puzzling heists in recent history have been her work.

Her ultimate goal is simple really; go down as the greatest thief in history, which she sees as a sort of art in itself, and to amass a generous fortune to eventually retire on.

Scarlet Shadow is a stoic and grim type, in and out of costume. While not a cruel or overtly deviant type, she is a thief and villain, and isn't hesitant to brutalize or kill. Though she prefers to avoid violence and prefers stealth and intrigue. She also has a whimsical and mocking side which comes out in fights or confrontation in general.

SUPER POWER

SUPER SPEED.

Scarlet Shadow's power is super speed bursts and lighting reflexes. She can sprint notable distances in flash-like bursts. This speed can translate into quick hops and leaps as well, however it is notable that in air she slows down, as her power is derived from personal feat and not time and space manipulation. Her base reflexes and flexibility are lighting-fast which gives her a big advantage in hand-to-hand combat. Her training in judo and kendo paired with her speed make her dangerous foe.

However, her stamina - while impressive - does not stand in equality with her super speed itself. Scarlet Shadow has to interval her bursts in movement or else risk total exhaustion. Lengthy fights with heavy exertion are her bane and will force her to use her conventional ability, This golds true for running and jumping, overlong use of her powers will debilitate her in time and leave her helpless to any foes present if she is not careful.

She must also be careful in wet or rainy environments as she has more than once went flying uncontrollably in her early days when zooming over wet surfaces.

PROFILE

When Artemisia first awoke on the operating table she had no recollection of who she was, no memories to reach for, and no sense of identity or belonging. Restrained and in an agonizing pain she found that her arms and legs had been replaced at the elbows by cybernetic limbs. Her insides throbbed, her head pounded like a drum, and her muscles burned with every slight movement. Less than an hour after her awakening the scientists came, six men in white lab coats who had been ogling at her from behind cameras and one way windows.

Their message was clear and precise; “you are a weapon.” According to the scientists Artemisia was a willing subject for a privately sponsored project, it’s goal to create the perfect cyborg. Faster, stronger, more precise, and more calculating than any mere mortal. Artemisia of course is not her real name, her entire identity lost to her during the traumatic experience of the operation and adaption to her new cybernetics. The scientists only stated that she was former law enforcement and was in a severe accident that cost her both legs and left one of her arms mangled beyond healing, as well as rendered other serious injuries. She was approached by a man who made her the offer - laying out all the details do what she would become and what her new purpose would be. Rather than live life handicapped and barely functional Artemisia - or rather whom she was before - took the offer.

She was declared dead and a casket containing a cadaver was buried in a false grave and thus the cyborg enforcer Artemisia was born. Heavily armed, dangerous, and obedient to her new directors she serves as a vigilante punisher, tasked with taking down corrupt organizations, powerful criminal syndicates, and rogue agencies when ordered. She has no past or other life, only the future her superiors seek to build. A future that transcends elected officials, governments, and nations.

CYBERNETICS | SUPER STRENGTH

Her cybernetic arms and legs have given Artemisia increased strength beyond that of normal people, easily capable of snapping someone’s arm or - with enough exertion - pulling it off. Likewise she can deliver devastating punches and kicks. Due to the amount of strength in her cybernetic legs she can leap up to twenty feet and likewise run faster than the average human being.

Artemisia’s torso, shoulders, cranium, and forehead are protected by metallic plates beneath the skin that can deflect small arms and most any melee attacks.
