Roxanne was still reeling from the news of Reed being in her apartment. It was really bothering her and one could tell because she was cleaning almost everything in sight. Her phone buzzed again and she walked over to see Reed's name appear across the screen then unlocking her phone and reading the message. 'Ugh.' She groaned to herself while rolling her eyes as she saw Ryder walk in now. She smiled and offered the female a wave then went back to sweeping the floor. "You don't remember what happened last night?" Roxanne walked over to leaned back on the counter, tapping her fingernails on the counter. "That's so not good, Ryder." She continued until Liam walked in.

Every time she saw Liam, she couldn't nothing but smiled based on how they actually met. Her eyes looked at him as he greeted her along with Ryder. "Hey, Liam. How are you doing? Coffee?" She asked politely with a smile while staring at him and wanting to change the subject from his comment, awaiting an answer. She looked at Zahra, who was set on her performing tonight. Roxanne set her weight to one side of her body while looking back at Zay now. "Yeah but I am no blues singer, you know? I could do something soulful though." She said followed by a smile thrown her way. Zay's excitement affected her in a way and she didn't hesitate to let it show.

When she mentioned that she was singing along with her, of course she tensed up. She didn't expect everyone to know. Roxanne laughed a little nervously as Zay told her that she was going to be amazing and rested her hand upon her forearm. "Uhm, I don't really like Blues." Roxanne said bluntly while looking up at Joseph. "Hey there, Joseph. Everything is good here." She said while cleaning the display window now, where all of the dessert treats rested. "How are things with you today?" She asked while resting upon the counter now after cleaning the window. "And besides hearing the announcement of me singing tonight, nothing really." She shrugged her shoulders while looking back at her phone, seeing Ryan's name and picture pop up.

Roxanne grabbed her phone and opened up the text, reading it. She bit her bottom lip after reading the text, thinking of a reply but she had nothing. With a sigh, she typed a reply.

Just get here when you can.

She sent the message then sat her phone down with an eye roll, turning heel as she went back to sweeping the floor. She adored this time of the day as things were slowing down and everyone's lunch break was almost over. When she was done sweeping she sat the broom aside then walked back over to the group, resting her elbows on the counter again while listening in to their conversation.

Dex stands at 5'11, with a slightly muscular build. He keeps active, though not religously so. His eyes are always wondering, always seeking and searching for something, it seems. He tends to keep his hair short, and he never lets his beard grow out much before shaving it. He typically keeps his clothing casual, even when on the job. He usually wears jeans, tennis shoes, and short-sleeved shirts, with a gray duster jacket in cool weather. His demeanor is usually kept calm and cool, although it might be obvious to many that the cogs in his brain are always churning. His skin is more on the pale side, although it's clear he does spend time outside.

Positive Traits
- Observant- Dex is very observant. He grew up reading a lot of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and grew up with Sherlock Holmes as a role model. Many people have noted the similarities he has to him. Despite this, Dex knows that the legendary detective was leagues from where he is, although there's not much that he misses.

- Open-minded: Dex is a very open-minded individual, able to accept people for who they are. He doesn't believe in labeling people by societal standards. Instead, he prefers to observe them and make his own judgements based on facts. Because of this, he is able to accept people for who they are, not who they were.

- Driven- Overly so. Dex knows that he's good at what he does, and he does his best to excel at his job. He would rather lose sleep than see a criminal get away for their crimes. However, Dex takes a few days to rest in-between cases, knowing that the can't stay driven if he doesn't stay rested.

- Blunt- Dex is rather blunt in social situations, usually speaking without concern for who's feelings get hurt. He believes more in saying things as they are instead of sugar-coating the truth. In the end, he believes it does more harm than good to try to make things "easier to swallow", instead preferring the blunt and honest truth.

- Messy- Dex is a rather messy individual, preferring messes so he can "connect the dots" with his cases that he works. However, many others have complained about his messes, although he just pays them no mind. In the end for him, what matters is catching the criminal.

- Cynical- Dex thinks only the worst of humanity as a whole. He feels that people will never really be able to turn society around. He feels that there will always be someone out there willing to exploit or kill someone for their own selfish needs. Not that he minds too much. Job security and all that.

Place of Origin;

History;
Dex was born in Londan, England to a upper-middle-class family. His father sent him off to boarding school when he was seven, in the hopes of his son becoming a lawyer. However, Dex despised the school, as he was often picked on for his intelligence. After graduating, he bounced from job to job, trying to find something he could actually be interested in. However, he usually quit the job within a week. He also declined several invitations to various law schools, refusing to follow in his father's footsteps, whom he'd come to begrudge.

After a year of bouncing from job to job, he happened upon a crime scene. After being interrogated, Dex proceeded to help with the investigation, being partnered with one Capt. Johnson of Scotland Yard. Seeing his talent, Johnson hired Dex as a consulting detective with Scotland Yard. It was during this time that he met and fell in love with one Elizabeth Grant. After being lovers for a year, Dex came across some clues that she wasn't all she seemed to be. Lo and behold, it turns out that Elizabeth was really the notorious "G", who was the head of a criminal organization that specialized in smuggling, black market dealings, and murders. Realizing he'd been tricked, Dex fell into depression, turning to drugs.

After he was asked to step aside from Scotland Yard, his parents found out about his addiction. He was sent to rehab and completed his six months. After being released, Dex decided to move to New York. After he arrived, he jumped from job to job again. After another year or so of that, he encountered Capt. Jameson of the NYPD Homicide Dept. Jameson remembered Dex from a trip he took to London, and offered him a place as a consulting detective. It was shortly after that Dex moved into Time Square Apartments. He's lived theere for nearly two years now, and has been sober for nearly three years.

Misc.;
He is very well-rounded with his knowledge, having a wide variety of topics that he regularly researches. Believe it or not, it usually helps him in his cases.
He will only take cases he deems "interesting". As such, he's seen as a troubleshooter for NYPD Homicide. He will even tackle cases that have gone cold. It's not often he takes a fresh case, unless the police know there's something unusual.
He keeps a literal library in his room, with two of his walls being taken over by bookshelves he installed himself. He also turned his closet into a library, and even has several books stored around the apartment.
My favorite place to visit is Japan (hope to, haven't been yet)

In Depth Appearance:

Ari has very defined facial features - specifically, his sharp, square jawline and perched cheekbones. He has a sort of bunny nose, coming to a point and sloping without any sort of Roman bump interrupting it. His eyebrows are the most defined part of his face, arching into an admirable angle that he surprisingly achieves without any extra help. His eyes are always widened just a little, dark brown and seemingly baring their teeth, but as intimidating as he tries to be, he always ends up looking a tad innocent because of them. Additionally, he always has red rimming around his eyes, likely only emphasized by the paleness of his skin. Ari's lips are always curved just a little bit upward at the edges, out of his control.

His complexion is fairly clear and on the lighter side, although his Italian ancestry suggests that he should be a little darker. His hair is shaggy and dark, grown out to where it can flop in his face but still stands up awkwardly at the back. He has two adjacent wings tattooed on either hipbone, a flame on his chest, and sleeves to brag about. He typically wears a ring in his right nostril and one on his bottom lip.

Habits | Quirks | Oddities

• Less of a habit than it is a total vulnerability, Ari is sick. Constantly. When he was younger, it was constant bronchitis, and now it's a little less serious, but much more frequent.
• Ironically, he's always smoking. He's practically a chimney. Kinda smells bad as a result of it.
• Doesn't shower very well, either. Negative points. Ari just doesn't see it as crucial, and can't bring himself to get out of bed and clean himself either.
• Always somewhat down in the dumps. Ari has a serious serotonin deficit, and can't seem to find the good in situations easily.
• When he's medicated, however, Ari is too playful for his own good. Some people never find the right prescription in their life, but 200mg of fluoxetine is the perfect match for Ari. When he gets it, his friends like him a lot more, because he'll jump all over the place and find a way to get close to his peers.

Ari is typically called “antisocial” because his overall personality style causes him to frequently violate major social norms and end up running afoul of the law (even though this is usually out of his control). He is openly and unabashedly aggressive in his interpersonal style, relishes in trying to “beat the system,” and because he detests submission, refuses to conform his conduct despite numerous negative consequences and sanctions. His life is a constant war, resisting submitting himself to any higher power or authority. Ari has little respect for rules, limits or boundaries, and takes pride in his ability to defy these constraints. He expends energy on his own behalf, but vehemently resists what others would call legitimate work or labors of love. He simply shirks the typical burdens of a responsible life and leads a socially parasitic lifestyle.

He knows what his values are, but has a really hard time expressing them, and sometimes even sticking to them. He can compromise what he believes in, if it means he can execute his plan. Intimacy is a real problem for him - he prefers to hide how important and close his values are to him with jokes and arms-length relationships. Ari does not show or receive affection well, but he does read into the sentimental meaning behind small gestures. That said, Ari is generally well meaning and dutiful, however, he does have a strong ambitious streak. He has a few causes that he supports, but he participates in activism very passively. Mostly, he focuses a lot on the future. He is constantly day dreaming about the future, including his improbable day dream fixation, the partners he has made up for himself, etc. He thinks that he’ll have kids, be more successful in his career, finally get a true hold on his life... even though he’s pessimistic most of the time, he also just senses and knows that he will find his way.

Made obvious by his obsession with making his future a 'better place,' Ari wants harmony and order in his home and in relationships. Ari trusts his intuition when choosing friends and significant others—even in spite of contradictory evidence or pressure from others. His emotions are hard to read, and he's not apt to express emotional reactions. He often seems reserved and unresponsive, while in fact he is very much hypersensitive to signals of rejection from those he cares for. Ari is usually better in a working situation than in a recreational situatio thanks to this fact, because he's usually not expected to show his true feelings.

Ari has an irascible temperament and a low frustration tolerance. It takes very little to get him upset, and he will not subject himself for very long to anything he finds distasteful or unpleasant. Otherwise, he is remarkably sensation-seeking and risk-taking, prone to “chasing highs.” He will do things most of us would get anxious or hesitant about and will persist in his behavior unshaken despite numerous adverse consequences. Unwilling to delay gratification or to temper his impulses, Ari wants what he wants when he wants it and acts without restraint. This is because he lacks the internal self-monitoring and self-governing mechanisms most people have. Though even Ari has to agree that his life is a true shipwreck, he persists in the same old behaviors that get him into trouble time after time.

D E F I N I N G M Y P A S T

History:

Ari was born to Elena and Roman Adassi. Elena works as a publicist, and Roman is a musician whose career hasn't exactly taken off - or it's reached its peak. Either way, they were both very distant from one another and their own son. Ari never got along with either of them fantastically.

Ari did exceptionally in elementary. He would do his schoolwork immediately as it was given to him, and seemed to be ahead of all of his peers. Physically he wasn't so well off. Young Ari had trouble staying in school due to his generally poor health - he frequently had to overcome bouts of bronchitis, and succumbed very easily to fevers. He had too many allergies to live as easily as all his peers did, so he ended up being very isolated most of the time. He exhibited some additional strange habits during these younger years, such as bruising himself, picking his skin away, pulling his hair out... Ari would hit his head repeatedly against walls, rip nails from their beds over the course of a few hours, scrape his knees against cement intentionally. His parents only seeked treatment when there was a very noticeable bald patch on the back of his head.

Ari began failing in his seventh year of school. He was not mentally or emotionally stable in addition to his failing health; his father was unemployed and his mother was an apathetic and judgmental presence in his home. He began to wonder where the scholarly skills he presented in elementary school went, and if he didn't have that cleverness, what did he have now? Without any real catalyst, Ari was sent to an inpatient hospital for acute treatment - basically, he stayed a week for observation, where he could speak to a therapist at any given time. Needless to say, Ari didn't make a lot of progress, because he didnt know why he was so depressed. It was just something he coexisted with, at this point. Upon the encouragement of his psychiatrist, though, he did pick up the guitar in order to mirror his father. This became his fixation - he's not done anything else since, really.

In the year before high school, in January, Ari attempted suicide. He cut classes starting at at 9:15, took bottles of different painkillers, aspirin, and all of his antidepressants on an empty stomach, then went to watch films in his room. Somewhere between getting serotonin syndrome and hitting his head against the wall to 'speed up the process,' Ari passed out. He stayed in his room like that for the rest of the day and throughout the night before his father came in to bring him to school the next morning. Seeing as he hadn't taken nearly enough to kill someone at his body weight - or at least, he hadn't gotten enough time - it was enough for him to drink sweet cherry charcoal and be on his way. Kind of. He was in the ICU for three days, too weak to walk and too shaky to handle anything himself. He stayed at a residential center in his state for two months before convincing the psychiatrists that he was well enough to leave.

His parents separated soon after; not like it affected Ari much, since he wasn't very preoccupied with either parents. Beverly Hills seemed like a promising place to have a fresh start, though, so his father and him moved towards the school, just enough distance to stay in an affordable home and still be within range of the buses.

In Depth Appearance:

You only get spiked brunette hair or simply brushed off to the side with Vergil, mixed in with warm, hazel eyes, that are far too puppy like for their own good sometimes, Vergil would say he isn't half bad looking. A slightly crooked smile, and a tiny little gap between his tooth gives his smile a slight charm to it that's hard to resist. His thick eyebrows give his face a certain ease at expressing his emotions without ever really saying anything, and let's be honest it isn't as if Vergil is afraid of saying what's on his mind in the first place. Vergil has a fair bit of muscle from moving around car engines all his childhood, and at 5'11, he can seem slightly intimidating until you actually get to know him.

Vergil is the down-to-earth type, someone who is brutally honest with himself and others. He'd probably say something like his mouth has gotten him into more troubles than his ass can handle, and for a few scenarios he would definitely be right. Vergil has pride in being true to himself, he hangs around people who seem to at least have a grasp of their world, which reflects back to him. He never seems to lose sight of the things he wants, and isn't afraid of putting in extra effort if needed. He's a hard worker, though he wouldn't necessarily say that he's exactly intelligent, he considers himself to be very average in comparison to everyone else, but in a strange sense is afraid of being seen as anything else, in fear that he may get in over his head. Vergil values true friendships, and is known as a very sociable person beside all the snarkiness.

Despite his sometimes obvious cynicism about things, he actually has a very positive view of things, he believes anything is achievable with the right amount of effort, the young man is persistent, and tenacious, always striving to better himself, at the same time, Vergil would never go out his way to destroy someone else's confidence, he's competitive, but he is too honest to ever use cheap tricks or cheating. He does not get along well with liars, and is known to be hostile towards those who do actively lie to him. He can be jealous, and sometimes possessive of others, and he has a tendency to get angry quite easily, but at the same time he is able to cool off easily too. Vergil is a mix-match of features that come from his growing up in Texas, and he would honestly say that there isn't one thing he would change about himself.

History:

Vergil was born to a family of prestigious engineers, mechanics, and welders, and as a result he was quickly expected to follow the same path as the entirety of his family. The Hendrix family is well known for their loyal, and trustworthy services, and as result, they have gained a reputation by colluding with some of the rich and famous in the upkeep of their cars. The Hendrix family itself has already amassed a large fortune over the years in service to their faithful clientele, and so Vergil actually comes from a decent amount of money. It was only a matter of time before they moved their operations to Beverly Hills, a convenience to their rich clients who had trouble moving their vehicles all the way to his home state of Texas.

Through and through, Vergil is a country boy, the accent, the mannerisms, all of these are clearly present within the boy, a gift he'd say come directly from his folks. Although, while his family might have had more than enough money to live comfortably, Vergil was always taught to work hard to earn whatever it was he wanted, he was never give handouts and as far as he's concerned he still doesn't need them. He's gone out of his way to earn his own and save his own money, and has never requested or needed a penny from his trust fund. This fierce independence is what he feels the Hendrix family spirit is made up of, and he's never wavered from that mantra.

Living his whole life in a small town, Vergil actually find Beverly Hills to be quite overwhelming and not easy to get accustomed too, especially with the traffic, as a fast driver he's never been privy to such small tight corners and unfortunately inept, reckless drivers. So far he's been here for two months, and hasn't really focused on making any close friends or connections as of yet. It isn't at all hard to see that it won't be long until he makes an acquaintance of someone.

He’s got a complex where he simply has to be the best, at whatever he does. Failure is simply not an option, nine times out of ten, it’s success or die. He’s a bit of a womanizer, and is known for having a different girl every other weekend or so. He’s never had a real relationship, with all the dates and bells and whistles that come with them; instead, Connor is a one-night stand master. To a certain extent, Connor almost is afraid of commitment.

With a huge competitive side, Connor fuels it largely with sports: football(captain, Quarterback/Wide Receiver switch), basketball(captain, center), baseball(co-captain, pitcher), Ultimate frisbee and disk golf on his off days, track and field when it comes around, and always weight lifting. Unfortunately, his competitiveness bleeds over into his video game hobby, and he takes them far too seriously. There’s been more than one smashed controller, fist sized holes in the wall, and shattered TVs to come from Madden games where the stupid fucking engine made it so he dropped the fucking ball on the fourth fucking down on the goddamn Super Bowl and didn’t make it into the fucking Hall of Fame or get his ring.

...yeah.

Hardly a poor student, Connor scores almost a 4.0, with Math and certain Science classes(I’m looking at you, advanced physics) being the only places he’ll accept being a ‘B- player.’ Regardless, when tests are returned with 70%, and 69%, Connor can feel himself getting irrationally angry. His blog is littered with references to his problems with math.

He doesn’t have a lot of free time, what with his studying, girls, training, girls, and more training. And girls. Lots of girls. Either way, he still has some small amount of freetime, which he happily spends jogging, hiking, and exploring the local hills and what not. He’s decently charismatic and a pretty… fun dude to be around. He likes to tell stories about his life(often exaggerated for comedic effect), and jokes, but he gets rather antsy if he isn’t the immediate focus of the room.

History:

Connor was born after his parents began their now exceptionally successful law firm, and he grew up more or less with a silver spoon in his mouth. He rarely wanted and almost always had. Despite this, he grew up in awe of one of his two childhood friends’s home and possessions, that of Alyssa Green. Alyssa constantly put it in very simple terms: she had more things, she had shinier things. She was just plain better than Connor. Connor was much more partial to Evalyn whom he’s known even longer than Alyssa, but he still enjoys spending time with the Queen, when the occasion calls for it.

His parents possessed a sort of expectation for him, though he met it in almost all fronts. He played junior football, and won, and subsequently fell in love with the sport. Since then, he’s made an effort to be involved in it whenever he can, playing it every year since then and deciding that he’d have a place in the NFL Hall of Fame by the time he was forty, and a Super Bowl ring by 26. He’s always been a Quarterback primarily, though he can play most positions; he favors Wide Receiver second to Quarterback on offense, and enjoys Defensive and Tight End on defense.

Eventually, when he was around 15, Connor kissed a girl, so to speak(read: he boinked one). And he liked it. A lot. As an up and coming popular, handsome, and successful jock, he found that it was quite easy for him to get different girls to kiss him. And then have sex with him. At this point, he found his second calling in life: butts.

After over a decade with his two friends, Alyssa and Evalyn, Connor grew slightly apart from them. He still showed up when they asked him to, but rarely ever game of his own volition. He was too busy chasing trophies and ass with the rest of his team. And yes, it was his team. By the time he was 16, Connor was unanimously voted team captain. On more than one of the sports team that he played on.

In his Junior and Senior years, Connor hopes to do nothing other than smash every record he can get his hands on, when the state division 1 championship, get noticed by a college scout, and begin his rise to superstardom in the NFL.

Tyler certainly looks his age, somewhat awkward in stature and slightly chub-cheeked. His jawline isn't extremely defined, but his thinness and the little amount of body fat he carries creates enough of a contrast. He has high cheekbones, but not enough to create angles from his face. His nose is a tad flat, with flaring nostrils that would make him look angry if he weren't so often smiling. His chestnut-brown eyes are constantly slitted and feminine if only in the way his eyelashes curl; his eyebrows are heavy and have two states - either furrowed in concentration or slightly raised with amusement. He has full lips, always pink with the amount of biting on them he does. His hair is dark brown and seemingly persistently shaggy, long and curly at the top and trimmed short at the sides. Most of the time, Tyler's personality is both passionate and composed. He has an innocent curiosity that when combined with his creativity yields a character that is fascinated with everything, and fascinating in itself. He has a vast (or, rather, random) array of knowledge, which helps him to piece together ideas that would not often be associated with each other. In terms of emotional sensitivity, Tyler is unsurpassed, with a specific talent for empathizing with other people's pain.

He radiates an aura of mystery, and his insightful observations and original ideas enable him to push change through with sheer willpower and force of personality. At times it will seem that he is bent on deconstructing and rebuilding every idea and system he comes into contact with, employing a sense of perfectionism and even morality to this work. Anyone who doesn’t have the talent to keep up with his processes, or worse yet, doesn’t see the point of them, is likely to immediately and permanently lose his respect.

Tyler has problems with anxiety and self-esteem that is mistaken for narcissism. He often sits in front of the mirrors for hours, not because he is full of himself but because he is deathly afraid of not being the 'perfect' Tyler that people expect him to be. On one hand, Tyler has the perseverance and drive to do what needs to be done. He is self-sufficient and does not need to depend on other people for the material and physical things in life. On the other hand, he depends on people for emotional support and encouragement. He is not fully self-actualized, and needs the constant support of others and will not be very independent. He craves attention and comfort from other people and he is happiest when he has a small, close knit group of friends or family. Tyler is extremely loyal to those who appreciate and support him. He projects any good feeling onto other people instead of basking in it. Those who want to share deep emotional thoughts and opinions with Tyler might feel that the scales are tipped on one side, for he will rarely reveal his actual feelings.

Aside from incredible shyness and passivity, he is amazingly persevering and will stand up for what he believes in. History:

Tyler's parents met in a Columbus school that he never got to attend, having been homeschooled up until high school. His mother was a maths teacher, and his father was one of the school's coaches. Naturally, his childhood was full of pressure to do well both academically (from his mother's side) and athletically (from his father's side) in order to receive a scholarship. He was fairly talented at basketball - still is - but has never really enjoyed it. Tyler's a bit of an adrenaline seeker, though, so he keeps up the charade to this day if only for a way to expend energy. Both his schooling and his social life have been somewhat restricted by the strict Christian lifestyle his family has adopted at home. It's not much of a secret by the way Tyler acts, all awkward and inhibited: he's been sheltered for the majority of his life.

Because of how underexposed he is, Tyler doesn't get to practice his actual passion very much: piano. His mother bought him a keyboard when he was younger that he ignored up until freshman year of high school, and he really only gets to practice by mimicking tunes from his radio. Apart from his 'secret talent,' Tyler's life has been rather uneventful. He tries his best to sing and play the ukelele otherwise, when he's not at home (mostly bumming around at a friend's house, usually) just to avoid any questioning from his parents.

Alex stands at an impressive 6’0”, with an athletic frame. This is complemented by his broad shoulders, defined abs, and a strong, smooth jawline - the living definition of “chick magnet”, which (surprisingly) isn’t reflected in the way he dressed. He opts for comfortable attire, such as loose-fitting trousers in various dark shades, and a baggy, grey shirt. This is comfortable in more ways than one – it hides his muscles, ensuring that anyone who approaches him does so because they want to know him as a person. It also (somehow) makes him just another face in the crowd, which is good for those days when he just doesn’t want to be bothered by people. Finally, it helps him cut ties with his past, which was spent being a part of the “popular clique”, bullying freshmen and various other things.

Ghost’s clothes also bring out his eyes; a hypnotising, light orangeish-brown, like the leaves of autumn, swirling in the wind and littering the roads. They often make people image a scene like that – the soft crunch of a leaf under their feet, the cool wind whipping at their ears. Most people say this is what gained him that brief modelling job. That and his family’s wealth, that is. Another thing that complements his eyes is his hair, due to its’ lighter shade of brown. Ghost has changed a lot during his time at Beverly Hills High School. When he originally started, he was timid, shy, and preferred to keep his head down. Slowly but surely, he picked up on the patterns that the different groups used, including what they thought of other students. It was just a matter of making the right friends in the right places, altering his personality to coincide with the Preps, and boom. He was almost at the top group after a mere two years. This meant he had to put on a façade, though, and a good one at that – being in one of the highest groups in the school meant he had to bully and belittle others, impressing those above him and acting like a complete jackass.

However, he couldn’t keep it up for the rest of his time at school. Especially not with the stress his brother was causing him. Thus, the “outburst of ‘14” happened – probably the most embarrassing event at the school. In this, Ghost – as you’d expect – had a complete breakdown, screaming at his brother and calling him every name under the sun. From that moment, he was shunned by the others, laughed at and shoved to the back of the crowd. Since then, he’s grown spiteful and aggressive towards the popular kids, his hatred going so far that it’s made him petty and jealous. This has also made him incredibly short tempered, meaning he can blow up at the slightest of things. For now, however, he’s decided to stick in the shadows, so as to not make a scene. But he will get his revenge.

History:

The taller they stand, the harder they fall. What Ghost has experienced has practically been the living example of that. He was born in Canandaigua to Jamie Bryant and Anna Wilhelm, the former being a mildly successful (and seldom known) footballer. He was raised alongside his older brother – David – and the family moved to Beverly Hills when Alex was ten years old. David helped him settle into his new school (being only a year older than Alex had its’ benefits) and defended him from people that decided to target the new kid. For the most part, Ghost decided to keep his head down; encouraged by his parents to do well within the more athletic subjects, given his father’s occupation. However, the more and more they put pressure on him, the more detached Ghost became.

Soon, the time came for Alexander to go to high school, and what better place than Beverly Hills High School? The school had been known for its’ success and talented students, and Ghost’s slowly building athletic ability – despite his want to just be left alone – made him a perfect fit. He stayed silent for his first two years there; spotting patterns and personalities that fit into different “cliques”, deciding which one would be best for him. Eventually, he managed to gather enough information to work his way up into the Preps, dressing in clothes like tight-fitting formal shirts that showed his muscles, and slim, stylish slacks. He fit with the rest of the group like a glove. Of course, in order to impress the Royals – the ones he was truly hoping to “make friends with” – he had to be a bit more out there; more of a slight jackass than the rest. That’s how all the Royals did it, after all. He was so close to getting up there and getting to the top, and he’d settled in quite nicely. Finally, life seemed to be looking up.

That was, until, one day, when he was sixteen.

He and his brother had just come home from school, with his brother having had the more… “eventful” day than Alex. David was belittled and threatened by a group of boys, due to the fact he disagreed with them in class. Instead of opening up and talking to their parents about it, David decided to vent to his brother, instead. This spawned into a heated argument, with David calling Alex “a waste of space”, “useless” and “a mistake”. These insults continued into the next week, until Alex became sick of it. Friday, when the two were at school, David insulting his brother, as usual, Ghost turned around to him and threw everything he had at him. Screaming about how he was ashamed to be related to him and that David “didn’t deserve to live”. His older brother proceeded to punch him in the face, and storm off to class. Of course, this led to Ghost being laughed at and belittled, but that wasn’t even the worst thing.

You see, the worst thing was far worse than that. That night, David never came home. Ghost’s parents sent out a report to the police, but, apart from a few jackasses that enjoyed the suffering of a grieving family, David has never been heard of since. Alex feels guilty for all of this, and thinks that he was responsible for making his brother run away. However, he hides it at school – no point showing your wounds when you’ve already got half the students mocking you. Instead, Ghost became the introverted, antisocial boy he was when he first started school, keeping his head down and hating the world. Though, after a particular talk with Alyssa Green, it seems things are about to change…
