Lyss was disappointed to end the fight so quickly, but after she heard the sound of gunfire she was sure that the police would arrive soon. So, the second she had some cover she jogged her way out of the park. On her way out, she took out a few of the trailer's mail boxes while she was at it.

It only took her a few minutes, crossing a road, and walking through a field to reach her getaway engine. Humming along to a song she'd gotten stuck in her head on the way over, she bobbed her head as she reached her 883 speedster. Hanging across the handle was a bat quiver in which Lyss slid her weapon inside. She threw the bag's strap over her head and shoulder and let the strap rest across her chest like a sash. With one rev of her engine, she was gone.

Another rainy day in Florida.

Lyss sat in the windowsill of her little studio apartment. In her hands she held a cup of coffee that smelt like heaven. In the background the local news was playing on the TV. The apartment wasn't awful for it's cheap rent. It wasn't anywhere close to what she had in Miami, but she only had so much saved up that she wanted to be smart with her money. Especially when she had absolutely no idea how she was going to make a living outside of the black market. A desk job would be endlessly boring, and she wasn't keen on serving entitled customers at a restaurant. Maybe if she worked on her apparition summoning she could make a decent living as a psychic. People still went to psychics, right?

Anyways, the view of a small diner across the street was nothing compared to a view of the atlantic. Lyss missed the sunny beach town, but she also didn't mind the rain in Tampa. She was the type of person that could enjoy any kind of weather. Actually, scratch that. Lyss hated the cold. She was certainly a warm-blooded creature.

"In other news, a trailer mysteriously burst into flames due to a chemical explosion in Jackson county yesterday evening. Local authorities in Greenwood have called it a "Meth Lab Gone Wrong" and have arrested two suspects for the crime."

Lyss's eyebrow quirked and she turned her head to look at the TV, seeing the mugshots of two vampires she recognized from the fight. Neither were of the gigantic boss of the group. "So, you let two of your drones take the blame so you can walk free. Looks like Kayla will stay in business after all."

With a smirk, Lyss opened up her phone to check the time and realized that she should head to the casino. She hadn't joined up with the gang at Dairy Queen after the fight so she wasn't really sure why they were having another meeting. There also hadn't been any new deaths related to the skeleton shredder. So, what was it this time? She slid out of the windowsill and finished her coffee, setting it down on a shelf nearby. The window shut easily and clicked as Lyss locked it into place. As much as she liked to leave her window open during the cooling rain, she didn't trust a soul in Tampa. Nor any soul that might have travelled from Miami recently.

Lyss threw back on her black timbs and pulled her leather jacket over a grey tank top. Her hair she threw up into a ponytail, and she placed a navy ball cap onto her head. She hated getting the rain in her eyes. While she grabbed her keys, she wasn't planning to take her own ride to the casino. Even though she didn't mind riding in the rain, she felt like she needed to avoid using the bike in case anyone had spotted her the day before. Just for a day or so. It wasn't easy to blend in, when you rode a brown motorcycle of this type.

One short cab ride later and Lyss was passing her payment and tip up to the driver before she stepped out into the rain. "Thanks," she said to the cabbie before walking in the other direction of the apartment complex she'd been dropped in front of. It would be stupid to stop at an abandoned casino. She held out her hands as she walked. The rain splattered against her outstretched palms and Lyss enjoyed every cold touch of the water. It reminded her of the time she'd played in the rain with her father. Way, way back then.

She walked into the building with a little smile on her face and more wet than she expected to be. As one of the first people to arrive, she took a stool with a back to it and played with an app on her phone until the rest showed up. Everyone looked pretty good despite having gone through a violent altercation the day before. Even Sin, who'd been shot, wasn't looking as rough as she had before they all ran off in different directions.

Madison and Claudette were the last to enter. Lyss turned her head to look at Agatha and tucked her phone into her jacket's pocket. "So, what-" She was interrupted when Madison continued to speak after her greeting. Lyss looked over at the witch, and was shocked to hear that another person in the coven needed help.

Will I one day be the girl that asks for help? She thought, before pushing that though to the back of her mind and off of the cliff where she dumped every other worry she'd ever had. It was unlikely that she'd ever put the coven's needs under her own. She didn't want to jinx herself, but she had a feeling that it would take months before any of her old gang figured out where she was. Even then, Tampa was a big place. She wasn't even using the same cards or bank accounts that she'd used in Miami. It was actually quite easy to disappear. She just needed to avoid anyone that wanted to take selfies for their instagram or blog about their days and she'd be good. She liked this new life. She liked the Coven. As messed up as it was. She wanted to stay for as long as possible.

"What's up, Madison? Are you in trouble?" She asked, her voice displaying genuine concern.

At the sight of Leatherface, Lyss couldn't hide her bemusal. Her eyes crinkled and her eyebrows rose slightly. The voice gave her a clue to who it was underneath the horror film mask, but her jumpy nature was an easy tell. "Hey, Riley." Lyss would have said more, but she had to keep quiet so that she wouldn't laugh at the wiggling necklace of garlic around Riley's neck.

Pizza sounded great.

Maya approached, looking like she'd just been on a run. Roughing up a group of vamps counted as a workout in Lyss's book. She almost envied Maya for wearing such a comfortable outfit. Lyss herself was in an the same all black ensemble from the meeting of (already and soon to be further) ripped jeans, a pair of Timberland boots, and a black v-neck tee. It would be as easy to move in as leggings and a crop top, but she was sure that the jeans would prevent her legs from getting scuffed up. The boots would also hurt if she kicked a bloodsucker in the right place.

Lyss simply winked at Maya when she called her bat inferior. She swung the bat around lazily and turned away as the girls began to rat on Riley's garlic necklace. If none of them knew what vampires were like, how could they know that the garlic was a myth? She rolled her eyes, and would have explained the nature of vampires to them if Babylon hadn't beaten her to it.

Babylon continued to babble on, and Lyss busied herself with surveying the trailer park while she waited for Kayla to show. From the looks of it, it seemed like the entire park was inhabited by the pricks. They probably drank the humans that lived here before. Her brows furrowed. We may be outnumbered here. Can these girls take that on? She glanced back at the group to see Jessica and Elise show up too. Jessica seemed pumped as always, but Elise looked like she was about to test her fight or flight reflex. Lyss nodded to the pair, but preferred to listen to the girls talk. She was saving her energy for the fight. Which was taking a little too long to start. Lyss huffed softly and leaned her weight onto one leg, the bat resting against the nape of her neck.

"Sin" showed all by herself. With no beast in tow. Lyss watched her summon the chimera, snake tail and all. As annoying as Quinn could be about of abstraction, Lyss had to admit that she was impressed by her skills. She might have looked like she was struggling, but Lyss recognized a seasoned summoner when she saw one. The fact that Quinn could stand her ground against a wild beast such as the chimera was enough to give her a few brownie points too.

More chatting, more people arriving, and Lyss wondered if Kayla had told them two hours just so they'd be there on time for her arrival. Then again, Kayla probably didn't care when the girls arrived. She probably would have scared the vamps on her own. Lyss felt dependable now that Kayla had asked her, and the group too, for help.

So, Lyss waited patiently. She continued to watch the trailers. Looking for signs of movement in or outside of them as she waited was enough to pass the time. Pizza, pizza... Where should we go?

In the distance she heard a rumbling, and she turned her head to see Kayla's ol' reliable making its way towards them. Wonder what the vamps are thinking of this sight. Moderately large group of girls with masks and weapons just chilling, and here comes Mrs. Big and Bad rolling down the lane. Are they quaking in their flip flops, or loading their shotguns? It was the south, after all.

I gotta get a chain like that. Can't wait to see how she uses it.

Thank god someone else let Riley's necklace slide. Does no one believe in cutting the ill informed some slack?

Lyss straightened as Kayla began to look the group over. The only tell that Lyss was ready to get to action was the firm grip on her bat. She even allowed herself to the teacher's pet for a few moments. While Lyss was already aware of these weak points, (there's was a reason she owned an aluminum bat), she was glad that Kayla was demonstrating to the others who might not. Lyss returned Kayla's nod with one of her own and laid the bat against the back of her shoulders. Each arm came up to rest her wrists against the top of it, her hands dangling over the other side.

While her adrenaline was already beginning to pump through her veins as she followed Kayla, she preferred to keep her body in a relaxed position. First and foremost, the girls were there for intimidation purposes only. If things went south, Lyss would certainly jump into action.

Well... Let's just say things went incredibly south. Lyss, who'd remained a bit behind Kayla and stood staring the vamps down, had gotten herself caught up in watching Kayla absolutely [b]dominate the massive head honcho. She smirked beneath her mask as she watched. She would have done well in Miami.

Unfortunately, and just as expected, the rest of the gang retaliated. Lyss had also considered watching Kayla's back, but it looked like Madison had that bit covered. Instead, it was Lyss's time to wreck a few vampire's pearly whites. She turned to put her back to Kayla and her new bitch of a vampire and grinned as she saw other suckers emerging from the adjacent trailers. "Hey, suckfaces! You mess with my friend, you get the louisville slugger treatment." She shouted, pointing her bat towards Kayla and then towards the group.

The four goons, all males wearing a range of wife beaters and low hanging jeans to ripped tees and basketball shorts, the usual Florida crackhead attire, saw Lyss and slowly began to spread out around her.

"Bro, was it the bong rip we just took or am I seeing shit?" One red-eyed guy asked his buddy to the left.

"Nah, man, she's actually there. She's that shit-weed bitch of a dealer's girlfriend or sumthin'."

"Would you two shut up? I've got the munchies bad and this chick smells better than ma's fried chicken."

"Aw man, you're right. I bet the bitch dealer tastes good too." The second vamp agreed, pulling a pocket knife from his cargo shorts. The others grinned. The first vamp lazily picked up a wrench from beside of a beat-up honda civic. The third remained off to the side with a devilish grin, likely waiting for an opportunity to grab their meal. The fourth, who had remained silent throughout the conversation, released a puff of smoke as he stopped holding the smoke in his lungs and smirked. "Yo, these girls are witches. What-what if," he stopped to laugh for a second. The three vamps, and even Lyss, stopped to give him annoyed looks. "What if they had a spell to get us all really fucking high?"

Lyss had enough of waiting around. Without giving the vamp's another second to banter, she cocked back her bat and swung it right into the fourth vampire's stomach. She turned away from him as he doubled over and glared at the other vamps. "No wonder you couldn't tell good weed from oregano. You're a bunch of fucking idiots."

Seeing their smoking buddy on their knees, vomiting up whatever the contents of their stomach had been, managed to sober the fuck out of the others. Lyss raised her bat, watching the two bro's snarl as they advanced towards her. The third still remained off to the side. I see you, snake. You're just giving me more time to take care of your friends.

The vamp with the wrench came at her first, swinging the hunk of metal straight for her head. Lyss ducked to the side and spun, bringing her bat down onto the man's forearms as she came back around to face him. She then raised her elbow closest to his face and slid her arm over until it connected with his larynx. The vamp's cry was instantly cut short as he choked against the blow.

His buddy with the knife lunged at her from the right, and Lyss had to immediately retreat to avoid his blade. Even though he was high, she could tell that he was skilled with a blade. He'd definitely cut enough blunt wraps to know how to use it. Probably a few throats, too.

The two paced each other for a second, both watching each other to see who'd make the first move. Lyss was smart enough to know that if she swung first, he'd easily slice into her like a piece of cake. One swing is all you get against a knife. Wait for them to go first, and hit him on the knee. They'll drop the knife, and you can get another swing in while they drop.

The vamp must have realized she was smart, and so he took a different approach. He spun the knife until the blade was pointing downwards in his hand. Raising the blade above his head, he thrust it downwards towards Lyss's chest. With no time to swing at his exposed ribs, Lyss dug her heel into the ground, gripped both ends of the bat, and held it up to block his arms from coming down any further. The two struggled in a power hold for a moment before Lyss found an opening. Shifting her weight onto her right leg, Lyss kicked the vamp right in the groin. The vamp cursed, but the force of his arms pressing downwards released and Lyss found her second opening. She knelt down onto the ground close to his body and pushed herself upwards with her feet. Her shoulder connected with his solar plexus, and she effectively knocked him back far enough that the blade wouldn't reach her. It was then that she swung the bat, the long aluminum weapon crashing into the side of his knee.

Lyss quickly stood and kicked the blade away from the groaning vamp. She looked around, noticing that the fourth vampire was gone from her sight. "Guess he got scared," she murmured, casually turning to walk away from the scene. She heard rapid steps approaching her from behind and grinned. Just as I expected. She looked over her bat for a second, assessing any dents or scratches. Satisfied with it's condition, she firmly wrapped each hand around it's base, spun around on her heels, and felt the bat connect directly with the yellow-stained, sharp incisors of the one vampire that tried to surprise her.

I know what you're thinking. She must be a cyborg. That's where you're wrong. Yara is in fact completely human, but due to an event in her past she has been enhanced with cybernetic implants. These implants are in the form of small metal disks along the structure of her skeleton. These disks lay inches beneath her skin along her spine, inner and outer arms and legs, hips, and shoulders that are now infused with her muscle. Two even smaller disks lay implanted on each side of her brainstem.

These disks allow Yara to connect to a metal exoskeleton. This exoskeleton is sort of bulletproof in that it doesn't allow bullets to penetrate, allows Yara at least 10% enhanced speed and strength, and even has a few tricks hidden among the metal layers. The only exposed part of Yara's body in her suit is the top half of her head. Why not just wear a helmet? Stop asking questions. Yara in fact has an attachable helmet. when the helmet is placed, it forms a protective seal between the suit and visor. In order for Yara to continue to breathe in this seal, her suit has a reserve of oxygen and emits it through a respirator in her mask.

While Yara is equipped with this protective suit, she prefers to save it for special missions and risky exchanges. When she isn't clad in metal armor, she wears what any other fashionable mercenary would. Complete with a holster for a weapon and small fanny pack, and a knife holster hidden in her boot.

Not much is known about Yara's past except that she's hopped between mercenary ships for the past few years. She's done many odd jobs such as being a hired gun, bounty hunter, and has also been on a few missions to explore foreign planets and bring back precious resources. If you get her drunk enough, she'll even talk about her time with a group called The Maurader's.

Yara has come to the Thermopylae mostly for the reward, but she is also extremely interested in the Hollow Moon. In her days of exploring she has never seen anything like this self-sustaining, biodiverse little hunk of metal. While she is still focused on reaping the benefits that may present themselves, her inner passion to discover new things is certainly at play.

Archie was getting shorter. Eli could see it now. He hadn't even seen her panic, so that was good. Nic hadn't even picked up on it. Just Natalie, who gave her one of the chillest "nah, I got this" waves she'd ever seen. Okay. Yeah. Natalie's got this. After all, she'd survived not one, but two encounters with Archie's condition. They'd worked well together to stop Archie, in the loading bay. They could do it again. Although, this time Eli would be at the edges of her range for her own safety.

He's not turning. He's got a grip on it.

She could see it in the way that he held himself. Sort of like the way Eli was holding herself now, too. Tense, but not strained. Focused, but still managing to keep it loose. If he'd seen the look on my face, would he have lost his grip? Would my panic make him lose focus? She bit her lip and looked away from him as they continued moving. Thank god he isn't paying attention to me.

She felt Lynn's presence to her side and she looked over at her. Of course, Lynn couldn't see her looking. Eli stared at the spot where her eye should have been. Where it was healing way faster than it should have been. Does she regenerate? Like a starfish? She turned her face forwards and began to search for the picnic table where they'd see Keaton waiting. You're worried about Archie, and Lynn had her eye blown apart. Who had it worse?

"You good?"

Eli blinked, and looked down at Lynn. She pressed her lips together and glanced towards the others. She couldn't just say it outright. It wouldn't be fair to Archie.

"'Cause I've never really had any problems with, like, whipping somebody's ass..."

Lynn Lynn Lynn. Eli's panic faded instantly and she smiled despite how shitty she felt. The thought of Lynn fighting anyone at all was amusing. Especially if she was going to fight anyone for Eli herself. Well, apparently she took on Archie too. God, has everyone fought Archie by now?

She didn't respond, but instead she found herself reaching her right arm over to wrap itself around Lynn's shoulders. She squeezed her closer as they walked in a little side hug. "Let's just get this meeting over with and go for some pizza." She murmured.

Looking up from her little companion, Eli finally spotted Keaton. She released Lynn from her hug and gave Keaton a small wave in return. Without waiting for an invitation Eli took up a spot at the edge of the picnic table, and she looked at Lynn as she patted the seat next to her. "Sit with me?" To be honest, it felt nice that Lynn would have her back if anything went wrong. She was sure that Keaton, Natalie, Nicholas, or even Archie of all people would have her back too. Lynn's protection just felt a little more comfortable at the moment.

"Phones.

Eli pulled hers from her pocket and immediately powered it down. She set it back in her pocket, in case Cara still had eyes with the thing off. You could never know, these days. With a deep breath, Eli gave her full attention to her friend. The look Keaton and Lynn shared was interesting. Had they been in on this information together? What had they been doing, on the side?

Oh, so they'd been doing their own investigations. She agreed that the big trouble on The Promise hadn't started until their arrival, but she really just assumed that it was the day that bitch Arianna boarded when everything went to shit. No word to Earth about anything. Eli nodded in agreement. It had been like this ever since she was new to the station. The Promise was an island with no communication back home unless it was to say good things. She was just surprised that they hadn't tried to call the Welcoming Day incident a hoax. They'd fully accepted this mistake, which was an extreme step in the right direction. She still even had the right mind to find D's severed head and hack into it for the footage of the breakout. If only she could find the damn thing. D hadn't been around since the shooting.

"Now, one of the main things we've been looking into is the possibility of there being children on board."

Eli already knew this. They used to mention it, way way back. When she first boarded she heard the Promise staff say it themselves. It wasn't major news, after younger and younger children began to show signs of the gene. Eli knew that the Promise was where they sent the young children with extreme abilities. Powers that couldn't be contained unless they were in a state run facility. Whether or not they were testing on the children, Eli wasn't sure. Obviously these kids had parents. They couldn't just hand them over to the state and never ask about them again, could they? Of course, they were definitely testing on adults. How else could they have known that the taser would work on Arianna? The fact that Keaton got a job just to look into the shipments to the Spire was actually a pretty smart move. With Keaton's ability, she was definitely good at figuring out what was inside of a box. Mental note, make Keaton's future gifts super vague and multi-wrapped.

What was crazy about this entire theory was that Lynn and Keaton had found a tagged doll in the woods. It was known to the long term residents that the children were kept on The Spire. How could a doll have gotten to the student campus? Eli's brows furrowed. Why would they give a doll a number, unless the child was numbered too? They wouldn't keep the dangerous children in the prisons, would they?

The Spire. The Spire. All of their questions were leading to the one place that was practically impossible to get into. Keaton was definitely right about a lot of things, like she usually was, but were they really experimenting on kids too? Eli looked down at the table and questioned everything about her time on the station. It was pretty obvious now that the Promise wasn't just created for rehabilitation, but were they really sick enough to test on a kid? If they were experimenting, was it to test nullifying tech, or just to figure out ways to contain them safely until they could control their powers?

Eli was totally and completely at a loss. She was always aware that the station was a little twisted. Well, maybe a lot twisted. The fact that this could have been going on since she first stepped foot on the station, since the station was created... It sent chills down her spine. Those chills were then replaced by a burning heat in the pit of her stomach and at the tips of her ears. If this is true, then the world really has gone to shit.

"I don't wanna be here anymore."

Eli's head snapped up and she looked over at her friend. Archie still had some explaining to do to Eli and she didn't expect an apology from him, but his words and tone resonated with her. He was feeling the same way she was, about all of this. The deep pitted rage for his people's suffering. Eli could see it in his face. Even though he might still frighten her, she would feel pretty great to sic Archie on Wrath or whoever else on the Spire was condoning such disgusting behavior. Or on anyone that would intentionally hurt paras.

"Do we know of any way onto the Spire?"

Eli had been biding her time for almost a month now. Not saying a word to anyone about Packet or the door to the Spire. Now was the chance. While she was worried that it would get them all killed, she could see in their faces that they felt the same way she did about this place. She, who had been there for years, and the friends sitting around her who'd only been here for a fraction of that time. They were all in the same place now. They wanted to take action, and they were determined to get to the bottom of the Promise's secrets. Now was the time for Eli to lay it all out.

Slowly, she rose from her seat so that she would get everyone's attention. This call to act, it made Eli forget about her fears. The shitty feeling inside of her was replaced by a vigorous need to do something.

"I know exactly how we can get to the Spire." She began, looking around at everyone. For the first time in a while, Eli could actually hold Archie's gaze without flinching. "After the woods... After Arianna, and Radvi's accident. I did some digging of my own."

She took a deep breath and pointed up at the Spire. "To get there," she said before pointing her finger downwards. "You have to go below. To the sewers, exactly. I know a technopath. Some guy I met a while back that was drunk enough to spill some information about it. He's... young. Younger than Lynn, maybe? Or the same age. I can't tell."

She shrugged. "The guy knows his way around. He showed me the spot, and even told me he could open it up. I was in a rough place at the time, but at least I was smart enough not to do it on my own." She glanced at everyone's faces, and wondered if they were feeling the same way Packet did in the sewers. "To get to the Spire is easy. Like doing a cakewalk, or whatever the expression is. Once you set foot on the Spire, it's like a game of Mouse Trap." She set her hand down on the table and began to walk her finger around it.

"My source can disable the cameras, if I ask him nicely. That means we can walk around freely, but that doesn't guarantee we won't run into any staff." She looked up again. "If we're caught, that's it. Game over. No one will ever hear from us again." She sighed. "It's extremely likely that we will."

She let that fact settle in for a second, before continuing. "In the off chance we get there, find what we want to find, and get back to the exit, Packet- the guy, can get us back into the ring."

And that's if the staff isn't already aware that we were on the Spire. If Packet was able to keep the cameras at bay for long enough. If Packet isn't discovered himself and we're trapped. If. If IF IF.

Eli was driving herself nuts with the possibilities, and she looked at the others and worried that they could see it in her face. Say something, Eli. Share your thoughts with them. Maybe they'll decide against it anyways. She felt her heart sink. They're going to do it. You've given them a way onto the Spire, and now they're going to risk it.

"I... I wasn't planning to go. Not because I was scared of getting caught. Not because I was worried about what I'd find. I wasn't going to go because I thought that if I did find ANYTHING like what Keaton is describing..." She sighed.

"It's because I know that I'd do my best to let the world know. I'd probably get myself caught doing it, and there goes my chance of seeing my mom again. Of seeing you guys again."

Her hand went to her nose and she pinched it for a second before brushing her hair back from her face. "But... If I have all of you, there's a chance we could actually do it."

We could die helping our people... together.

From the look on Kayla's face, Lyss could already tell that she wasn't interested in vamp hunting tonight. Oh, fuck me. Now she's going to think I'm some killer. Lyss immediately leaned back in her seat and felt the edges of her cheeks burn with embarrassment. Join a Coven, they said! Totally won't lead to murdering any being, supernatural or not! Completely stupid of you to even think of it. She gripped the edges of the stool. If only the boys could see you now. You were once a power to reckon with. Now you're looking like a fool in front of a group like this??

The Chimera Girl's comment set her off. She rolled her eyes, and was just about to say some real shit to her before Maya got to it first. Lyss raised her eyebrows, but she wasn't shocked that Maya would say something like that. Even without using her abstraction, her words could cut through air. Thank satan that someone else has some balls around here.

She heard Claudette sigh and immediately looked her way. The girl hadn't said much during the meeting, but when she raised her hand, she meant business. Business as in, filling the entire room in darkness. While the others acted as if it hadn't happened before, Lyss just busied herself with figuring out who she thought had yelped or nearly knocked themselves over. Nina. Definitely Nina. Did Izumi squeak, too? She huffed into the darkness in a show of irritation. How much longer would the sit in the dark before Kayla could answer them?

Not soon enough, the lights returned to the room. Lyss blinked as her eyes adjusted again. The silence was appreciated. She looked to Kayla, and waited for her to- Yep. She definitely just meant to rough up the goons. Some kind of pimp way to show the junkies that she was the ONLY source they could buy from. Lyss was actually happy to hear her say that they were just going to scare them. Kayla was dead serious, and Lyss was grateful that she wasn't going to mess around like the others would.

So, they were going to tango with them, huh? Lyss had done her fair share of dancing before. It wasn't easy to move through the black market without a tough spine. Even hunting apparitions had its dangers.

Kiesha's owner spouted out some more cocky words and Lyss furrowed her brows. Why the fuck does she keep mentioning her chimera? Why even send the poor creature away? If she loved the chimera so much, why not keep her around? Y'know, train her not to throw slot machines every time she gets spooked. Usual summoner's responsibilities. My grandma would have never allowed that kind of behaviour.

So, the beatdown was going to happen in a place called Greenwood. (Which was a suitable name for a pothead's trailer park.) Two hours from now and bring a mask. Lyss watched Kayla peace out, Oleander in tow. She glanced around at the group. Just to see who was going to actually go now that Kayla was gone. She still wasn't sure herself, but it did sound like a fun way to relieve some stress.

Elise was in. She was definitely an asset. Jessica was in too, complete with a soccer mom attitude. AND she was carpooling! How lovely. Maya was in. She could really do some damage. Herik was in, and Lyss was definitely sure that with those muscles he could take on the entire den. Well, with just these girls (and one male friend) on the list, it sounded like it would be a successful showdown.

Off to the side, and long forgotten, Lyss heard Agatha's meek voice. She turned her head to see her packing up her things, and almost felt bad for the leader. "Just give up," Emily said in such a totally bitchy voice. The hair flick made it even worse. Lyss narrowed her eyes at the girl.

"Excuse me, Emily. What decade are we in? This isn't a clip from Mean Girls." She stood up, entirely fed up with this meeting and these witchy bitches. "You're definitely no Regina George, either." She walked over to Agatha and rest her hand on the woman's shoulder. "Let's get together tomorrow to talk about these murders. Unlike the rest of the group, I have a feeling that this has to do with the supernatural." She sighed. "The police definitely aren't going to be able to do anything about it."

She gave the woman a nod before walking herself out of the door.

Greenwood fucking Florida.

What a complete shithole. It looked like the perfect place for some vamps to bunker down and get higher than the empire state building. She could even smell the weed drifting from the homes. Well, at least Mary J. will slow them down enough.

Lyss was in absolutely no hurry to show up, but it looked like she'd gotten there before Kayla. She casually walked up to Claudette and Madison and gave the girls a nod. "Ready to knock some pointy teeth out?" She asked, swinging around a black aluminum baseball bat. The girls would have seen her grin if she wasn't wearing a black mask that covered the lower half of her face.

Elara

Location: Mojo... world?
Skills: N/A

Listening to Longshot, it sounded like he'd escaped Mojo's TV shows quite often. Part of her felt sympathy for him. That he kept getting sent back into them. Another part of her felt even more suspicious of him. After so many failed attempts to hide from Mojo, how could they guarantee that this wasn't the first place Mojo would look for them? The guy definitely had a few screws loose. Who wouldn't after being brainwashed so many times?

Sapphire and Longshot began to bicker. Elara sighed and shook her head. Just focus on where you're stepping. We'll be there in no time. She watched the ground, making an effort to avoid any random debris or questionable wetness in the sewers. She usually didn't care about mud or trash, but sewage waste? You had to be downright disgusting to trod through it without a care.

Hearing Andrew's comment brought some light over their situation. Elara smiled softly and looked his way. She shrugged her shoulders and tilted her head, even though Sapphire and Longshot tried to dismiss his comment when they approached a ladder. "You're right, Andrew. We could still be stuck in the show."

She looked forwards and watched as Longshot, Andrew, Evelyn, and Casey made their way up the surface. For a second, she waited to hear shouting and the commotion of Mojo goons from up above. Before she could hear anything, Casey's head poked into their view from down below. Elara felt the tension in her shoulders slack. If Casey said it was safe, Elara would believe her.

Elara slowly stepped up to the ladder and looked at Sapphire. "I'm still not sure if I trust either of them, but I've got your backs." She gripped the bars and turned her head to the opening. "Let's get back to Earth so we can kick Gardner's ass." With that said, she climbed her way to the top.

Once up, she straightened out her shirt and took use of the flower hairtie around her wrist. She pulled her hair up into a ponytail and surveyed the room as she tied it in place. The sight was... well, it wasn't great. It looked like even alien planets had countless homeless civilians. Was this just Earth.2, or actually a different planet?

"Are all of these people hiding from Mojo?" She asked Longshot.
