Crimson Sparrow

Personality:
When others see Crimson they immediately try to look like they haven`t seen her. She is cold and methodical in outward appearance. The look of someone who has killed more than they should, a numbness that reaches the eyes. It isn`t a wonder as to why people find her intimidating. She is a master of a dark craft that not many understand.

In all honesty she is different to those who know her. The things she`s done has shaped her as a being but they have only made her choose those she truly trusts wisely. Those that know her know that she cracks ill humored jokes randomly when not on duty and that she cares for others in her own way. Assassination has not made her into an emotionless corpse that just takes commands. Those she chooses to take under her wing are cared for to the best of her ability, but they must earn her respect as she must earn theirs.

Respect isn`t just handed out by her. It`s through actions that someone may get her respect. Words are meaningless and cheap in comparison to the actions one does. If someone were to yell at her with the foulest of words she wouldn`t bat an eyelash. They won`t make her bow even if they were to try and force her. She is observative of those around her. Their character is most important. That being said she`s been known for making enemies for her stubbornness. The connection between her brain and her mouth is very loose with this one. Even higher superiors have just gotten used to the way she speaks, because in the end she only says what she finds true. There isn`t any going around the bush.

Biography/history:
Crimson was found by a member of the Tower of Stars around when she turned 186. They found her beaten and weak, a state that is unthinkable for her, in a compound. Everyone around her was dead, humans and elves alike. Being the sole survivor and she never told a soul as to what happened to anyone else. They recruited her after she was done with recovery. She told them she was an assassin, immediately they all questioned if she killed everyone, to that she answered “No”. No further elaboration was ever given.

While rebuilding her body through self physical therapy, she showed just how well of an assassin she really was. It was unquestionable why she climbed the ranks through pure determination. It took her less time than most to secure her position as Paladin of Sight. While her history is a mystery, she makes up for it with her resolve and hard working nature. There is never a doubt that she would do everything in her power to save someone on the battle field.

As for her past, she was born to a male elf and a human mother. Her father’s name was Rínaer, he was the leader`s son in their clan in a court of Autumn. This clan was called Firith, meaning late Autumn. Meanwhile her mother was a human from a small hunting village, her name was Holly Sparrow. Holly was an adventurous woman; this was what led to the two meeting in an area of the mountains known for great hunting. There on continuing their courtship in secret.

The clan of Firith was not kind towards humans, for years wars over land have been fought between them and human villages nearby. As their populations become greater so is the need for land after all. The clan takes nature very seriously, usually incorporating their buildings into existing trees and formations. As the elven clan preside over the start of the mountains and upward the resources there cause conflict.

They were never meant to be wed or even meet, but had despite all of it. That was their greatest achievement and in turn worst mistake. Past the race of her parents Crimson does not say much about them. Something happened when she had been originally found and one can only assume it branched from the constant fighting between the two races in their area. The stubborn woman is willing to take it to her grave however.

In her travels since joining the Tower of Stars she acquired a bit of unique technology. Technology was combined with her sight to produce a way of observation far beyond her own instincts even. The technology was experimental and gave her a few knock backs for awhile. This included black spots in vision and voices in her head.

Reason for recruitment: She has nowhere else that she belongs, so why not here?

Light Magic-
Shadow Affiliation- While not strong in magic she is able to alter light to hide her in plain sight from the naked eye. This works the most affectively when in darkness but can be done slightly in daylight.

Multiplying Effect- Using the technology in her head with the natural magic carried through due to her elven blood she can actually cause an illusion of multiples. It mostly is herself, using the same light manipulation to make it seem like she is many places in a room or area at once.

God relations: Is thought to be a relative of the Exandar through her mother, but relation would be generations down and Crimson holds no relations to the church.

Tech: An implant in the head that affects the eyes, this enables her to predict movements, channel magical energy, and look up information in her own mind in the matter of seconds. This technology was experimental and gave her a few knock backs for awhile. This included black spots in vision, voices in her head, visions, and lapses in reality. As years have gone on it has been tweaked and has reached almost complete completion. Most of these symptoms have vanished completely, but have been known to relapse by malfunctions.

In combat it is used to make her faster and attain knowledge before she would have otherwise. An assassin usually works solo, it was only natural an experiment like this intrigued her. The way it works is by an implant that redirects the optic nerve through the device on its regular route, another part of the brain connected is the medial temporal lobe, the part of memories, cause for the reality lapses in experimental phases. By routing these together is how the device reaches optimal efficiency. The user can see what they want or turn it off and on by thinking key words programmed to them.

The device itself creates almost a screen imaged into their sight. By turning on a router they can find the best route for a given task, for instance entering a building undetected. These always come with some kind of risk factor known to the user as in reality a machine can only think of so many factors at once, especially when adding in unknown ones. It is a computer for vision in its simplest definition.
An added feature the few that have adopted it add is the routing of their magical essence. This makes it easier to cast spells on whim and access them for longer periods of time without much cool down, this leads into the problems however.

The implant is not all powerful, while it can do so much it has limits. It lessens the time between spells but weakens both the spells and body a lot faster. This addition isn`t not recommended but isn`t recommended for long time use. Use for days on end of the implant with no turn off will bring up past symptoms and could cause the user to go mentally insane until it finally is turned off. It stimulates the brain and in such needs careful and precise use. Overuse in battle in a short amount of time could result in unconsciousness or immediate need for medical attention.

Possessions/items/property: Crimson wears a golden hair piece, one given to her by her mother, it is very different from her very dark appearance.

Misc: She wears a mask when she is out on a mission.

@Themerlinhawk Okay, I see a lot of these mistakes could have been me just not reading right, I'll be sure to fix them sometime tomorrow and have a better copy. I also have backstory stuff built up/in development for her backstory but I saw I could leave some anonymous so I hid it a bit. I'll add a few more details and fix the things you pointed out though.
