The highest, most decisive experience is to be alone with one's own self. You must be alone to find out what supports you, when you find that you can not support yourself.

The core of an individual is the mystery of life, which dies when it is 'grasped'. That is also why symbols want to keep their secrets.

Bio

The Harbinger of Ferocity

Agent of the Wild, Aspect of the Ferine
Nature, red in tooth and claw.

"There is, indeed, no single quality of the cat that man could not emulate to his advantage."
- Carl Van Vechten

I am, at my core, a personification and manifestation of those things whose blood and hearts run red with the ferocity of the animal world. It is this which convicts and controls my works, my writing, my being; the force and guidance in which I gain wisdom from. It is what inspires me as a creator and weaver of words, the very thing I admire as an author.

My leanings, savage as they are, are of the feline sort as there exists no greater lineage of beasts whom can be drawn from. No others captivate and motivate my talent and skill as the greatest of cats do.

I am pleased that it has all been for the better, hearing as much is rare now in my experiences with people, @Carantathraiel. That is news we could use more of as a whole, isn't it now? Perhaps I am emphasizing it too much or disappointingly I just so rarely hear it.

As for my business? Fate or divine providence had it that when I returned to one of the places I had said I would, to procure some artifacts and fossils, I found the exact person, at the exact place, at the exact time that I needed them. After a long, varied discussion with the naturalist on our sciences I procured exactly what I required and had not found during my return visit to La Brea or several related sites. The real emphasis of this story is the fact that I found them at all dealing their wares just as they had attempted to vanish from their store due to bad experiences for the day; they are an eccentric, albeit enlightened spirit and dealing with the public is not their forte, rather desiring the field. Fortunately I am difficult to forget, according to them and others, and they made a particular exception to reopen briefly for the meeting and acquisition.

My other acts of late were spending some time with a lovely leopardess, several actually, and having a conversation with them. Same can be said for a tiger although it was brief in his case; his mate called him back when we were meeting due to the arrival of people and her wild-born tendencies to avoid them. No lions, other than the mountain lion who shared some muttering and purring, two jaguars being conditioned to sharing space near one another, a talkative jungle cat - very opposed to company I might add - as well as that of a lynx and bobcat. Frankly all the rest were busy, but I did acquire a historic chart of the feline lineages in the process so no real loss there.

Come to think of it, the past few weeks have been a great amount of business, to include holiday reintroduction to family and being swamped by curious children.
I would say then, if you hadn't already, to browse the list of character sheets and the background information and plot compiled thus far, @Prizrak. Something to give you that much needed insight as to what is more or less normative. As far as making what to fit, as this topic is all collaboration based between the members - no set in stone plot - that is entirely up to you. You could well be off and do your own thing, if you so wished for whatever reason.
It is good to see you again as well, @Carantathraiel. It sounds as though you had ample reason for your disappearance, which makes it all a bit more understandable in hindsight as to what went on since last we spoke. Surprisingly, that last comment is still relevant to this day. So for myself little has changed. Hopefully in your case matters are for the better.
This is a topic I had not expected to ever return or see again. How long it has been in relative time.
I see no reason to object, @Prizrak. If you have something specific in mind I would say to propose it before going through all the effort to craft a character sheet that may or may not be used if you find our current story is not what you had been looking forward to specifically.
This is not an unusual or unreasonable criticism I have heard of the genre, @KimHanuel. That in mind, is this in general or specific subsets of country music? I suspect, based on the content described, this is leveled more at what is considered modern country or that post turn of the century. Has this always been an issue that you have taken with it? Is there a specific instance that you can name which stands out more than the rest to you which furthered this perception?
Out of all the colors I am most fond of, those being earthen or related woody browns, various shades of tans and tawny, emerald greens, sapphire blue, or amber gold and the like when some vibrancy is needed, I find that I am less than approving of colors or themes others tend to be. For example, I would never consider say red or orange but I would actually consider the "ugliest color by study" in Pantone 448 C. There just seems to be something natural to the colors found in nature that I prefer to those bright and brash. Even whites I prefer in subdued off-white, more grey or vanilla, than pure white and am fond of dabbling in grey to accent it as well.
Out of all genres of music, which do you find most irksome and that which you have a difficult time appreciating or just cannot stand, @KimHanuel?
It sure was an element and fact either guided by chance or fate that they had avoided the trap and whatever potential threat the mysterious mushrooms posed, if any. The huntsman, again having taken up his bow in preparation, now with cloak draped over his face too, gave his thanks for that; thus far they had been fortunate and he hoped again they would continue to be so favored. He could only hope his bow's arrows would be guided to the hearts of the winged monsters if they encountered them again but before he could finish that thought, strange evidence appeared before him. Several bats laid cold upon the stone floor, deceased, something that prompted him to look further on and discover the bats.

Brannor knew little of bats but knew well enough that there was no hiding from them by slinking around in the dark; the soft rings and chirps in his ears was a way they navigated, even in this pitch darkness. Other than this? The man could only wonder now, were they regularly here? He assumed as much but just how did the kobolds and their wretches pass by, let alone with all the boxes? The mystery deepened and so did his concern...
