Today's the first time in a long time that I've felt empty. Not even sad or tired, just empty. This quarantine is getting to me more than I thought.

@Jessica Bunny: You live in America! College is optional (and expensive) and around you is opportunity. I believe you can make it!

@Eklispe Go on ahead. I'll post after you.
The instructor frowned at Yuri. Well, this kid was seriously ballsy, or plainly had mental deficiencies. Really? What part of that was "defusing the situation"? Nobody in the area believed a word of it, and it showed.

The female teacher got up and pointed at him, a scowl on her face. "If you could please take him to the DO and hopefully away from us for the rest of the class . . ."

With a nod, the instructor approached Yuri, placing an arm on his shoulder. "You're going to have to come with me for awhile kid, at least until we sort this out."

With a "humpf", the female instructor asked a couple of students to bring the unconscious boy to the clinic, among those students was the girl he was originally going to fight, who now looked considerably less worked-up about it. In fact, most of her anger seemed to be focused on glaring at Yuri, as did most of the students in the area.

While the instructor was escorting Yuri away, the teacher ushered everyone inside.

Standing at the front, the teacher wrote her name on the board, "Ellora Minnie", and waited for the class to settle down before speaking.

"Now, we don't have much time for introductions, seeing as I'm late, and believe me, there is an explanation for that, but I'm your homeroom teacher for the foreseeable future, Ellora Minnie, however, you may call me "Miss Lora" or "Miss M.", understood?"

"In any case, I apologies for my tardiness, however there was an incident at Guerrero Street, and there was a lot of traffic. Related to that incident, I have an announcement to make: Afternoon classes for the day are cancelled, so you will all be dismissed at exactly 1:00."

The class only needed to hear the word "cancelled" before reacting in typical student fashion, namely jumping into the air and cheering excitedly. Miss M. let it slide this time, but by the look on her face, it was evident enough that she clearly disliked this sort of behavior.

Deciding to put an end to their festivities, Miss M. made a second announcement, "However, you still have your morning classes to go through, so don't celebrate just yet."

Seeing as she was late, as well as several other incidents, the teacher didn't really have that much time left over. In any case, she wrote down the subjects that were to come next, in order:

Maths

English

Small Unit Tactics*

In the meantime, the instructor turned to Takumi, scratching his chin in thought. "Well, you'd need permission from your guardians as well as a bit of cash, but there is a Noble Arms Workshop just a commute away. It's a lot less expensive than the ones here, but they don't have VR tech and they don't have a stadium, so the use of larger Noble Arms are out, but it would do for a little more experience, if that's what you're after," he explained. Another thought came to him, "also, students won't be the only people there. So in terms of learning experience, it's a bit unstable, but it's certainly different."

"Thorn Wall" -- a tiny guild, consisting of only eight people. It's members are relative unknowns, their magics, asides from the guild master, are complete unknowns. They hardly ever take missions, they never go to public events, and have never opened themselves up for interview.

As such, they are guild of relatively little fame. Nothing in comparison to the giants that are head and shoulders above the rest; giants such as "Lamia Scale", "Sabertooth", and of course, "Fairy Tail". They are not the stars that light the imaginations of people, they are not beacons that inspire justice and righteousness in the hearts of man. They care only about themselves.

However, what is known about them has made them infamous. Or rather, they have become myth to those well acquainted with the world of Mages and guilds. What is known about them that is not shrouded in myth and hearsay:

The guild is willing to accept members at any time.

The guild tests these prospective members for three years.

Little more than fifty attempt to surmount those tests.

Only a single person manages to pass . . . in every seven years.

Finally, each and every one of their number is recognized as "S-rank", each and everyone of them worthy of the title of "Ten Wizard Saints".

Now, once again, a wave has washed over the people of Fiore, and once again Mages try their hand at becoming a member of the most mysterious of guilds.

Each has their own reason for doing so. Perhaps they are a member of the Council, attempting to weed out information? Or perhaps a foolhardy youth, desperate to prove their worth. Mayhaps even, a simple, lonely vagabond that hopes to find the one place they belong?

Either way, the gears are turning, and the Thorn Wall ones more withdraws its spears to open a path to what lies beyond it. Will you be among the legendary few who surmount impossible odds? Or will you fall and join the countless others, who flew too close to the sun, with nothing more than waxen wings, and empty words?

The choice is yours . . .

@Pair of Hearts Sure, I can work with that :v
@Pair of Hearts What, I can be anything other than a sample? That intrigues me >:D (totally not planning to make a mad scientist)
I am a psychologist, and this interests me. Carry on :3

@Stern Algorithm No problem, theater rehearsals have been killer for me too.
@Wick Posted. If there's anything I should add, feel free to tell me :) Oh, and Felix is talking to Nikki.
FELIX STANDFIELD
Location: School Building

Felix looked up from the second floor. He had just left his room, attracted by the sound of a sudden commotion coming from outside. That was a lot of people, some of whom he vaguely recognized as fellow survivors, though they had left The School for the Rec Center before he had a chance to be acquainted with any of them. Now that they were back, it seemed that the whole camp was lively again.

Oh, and they brought back cars. Working, functional, cars. This automatically meant that he was friends with them until further notice.

The cars aside, there also people he didn't recognize. So they were new guys, probably strays they had picked up from their time away. Felix narrowed his eyes at them. On closer inspection, the entire group looked harried and distraught. That meant one of two things; they were either attacked on their way back, or the Rec Center had fallen. He was willing to bet it was the latter, from the way they acted. Being hit while travelling tended to produce a different variant of "haunted-look" than an entire colony falling. More specifically, whenever survivor colonies fell, the remaining population always echoed the looks of those that had survived the beginning of this Apocalypse - desperate, gaunt, jittery, and lost. That was always there, that lost look.

Retrospection asides, Felix climbed down the second floor and headed around back to meet with the new arrivals. They would probably be neighbor's now, so why not take the initiative and introduce himself, right?

"Well, these are a bunch of new faces~" he said easily, pacing towards them with light steps, "I'm Felix Standfield, and welcome, or welcome back, to the School, because we haven't come up with a better name yet."

With a sharp grin he extended his hand to the person nearest to him, which happened to be the chick with the sword. He liked girls, and he liked swords, so he considered this a bonus. It would be an even bigger one if she knew how to handle it, something he fully intended to test some time.

"Nice to meet ya. Hope you enjoy your time here."
