Cole Taalen

Cole was sitting in the middle of the police car, just beside Mia. Occasionally looking out the window to the dark night. What a day, this is Cole thought as he stared slowly looked around the car. Trying to pass the time before they reached the police station. Fricking late to a murder and someone that he knows is now no longer among the living. A soul was taken by some lowlife scum, and now it is up to the police to find Stanton's killer.

Cole is not sure when Emily and Valerian decided to go home. But, he can not say he blamed them for that. After what happened with the doctor and what was done to him. Seriously, why did this happen, and why poor Stanton? He is just a doctor, not a profession that would warrant something like this. Eyes were taken and leaving a message like that. Even if Cole did not have the skills needed to investigate this and find the killer, he still could not stop thinking about it. Why, why, why did the killer leave Stanton's body like that. Is this a message to someone but who? Who the frack would warrant this could of message. Cole did not understand, and it is likely up to the police to find that out.

He once again looked out the window. Who knows when they will reach the police station. With what little information he has to offer. Before tonight he never thought he would be in the back of a police car. It did not feel right like he is in trouble despite having not done anything. But, at least he is not in cuffs. That would certainly make the night even worse. Still, the night is not over yet, and Cole just hopes that this is the only surprise he gets tonight.
Zargun Nouri

Beacon Academy
The Landings
Kingdom of Vale

It is finally happening. This is finally happening, Zargun thought excitedly as he got out of the SUV. Barely keeping his excitement in check as now after living in the city for years and watching the academy from afar. Which Beacon is hard to miss where he lived in the residential district. Now he is going to the Beacon itself and prove that he can be a huntsman. Something that Zargun's driver, his uncle, Aeron, was more than happy to see. Even though Aeron was not his uncle by blood, rather friendship with Zargun's family, he still felt like a parent after all and could not help to feel happy for Zargun. Once Aeron got out of the driver's seat, he walked over to Zargun, who was busy getting his luggage out of the car. With a smile on his face, and jokefully said, "So you ready for this kid?"

Zargun turned to face Aeron with his luggage in tow, "I am more than ready for this, and I will make you proud, uncle."

Aeron let out a chuckle, "I know you will, Zargun, I know you will. Just remember your training, and you should be fine."

Zargun "I know, uncle, and... thank you for everything. I am not sure how I would be if you did not train me."

"Do not talk like that, Zargun, you are a good fighter. You just needed some tips, that is all". Aeron sounding reassuring. Besides, now is your time to shine and become a Huntsman."

"Thanks, uncle," and Zargun went in for a hug with Aeron, and he reciprocated. Tightly hugging Aeron before letting go, "I will be a huntsman like you, and just you wait."

"That is all I expect of you, Zargun, and I think I have held you up enough. If you need anything, just remember your family is closeby."

"I will, uncle and goodbye." Giving out one last hug before departing the parking garage and headed towards the academy grounds. Which did not take long, and Zargun looked around as he walked. So this is Beacon. he thought as he scanned the academy grounds. A lot of people here and some Faunus as well. He wondered how many would pass the initiation trial. From what uncle Aeron talked about, the trial is not an easy one and something that should not be underestimated. Still, Zargun feels confident that he will pass it though he will not treat it as a cakewalk. Being a Huntsman is not an easy lifestyle and but something he is prepared for.

Then Zargun spotted the luggage carrier coming towards, and he deposited his luggage with the rest. With the rest of the students, he made his way to the hall where the headmaster made his speech. Zargun was surprised that Professor Ozpin, that his uncle told him about, was absent. He was expecting to see him but, all well. Zargun did not have a problem with the interim headmaster, Professor Carlisle. Though he had to wonder as to why he was wearing a suit of armor that looked like something from the Great War. Maybe personal preference but, he still liked the man's speech.

After getting a hearty meal which Zargun was surprised by what Beacon offered, he looked around for a time before finding a small space for himself and his sleeping bag. Zargun was in his pajama, which was a simple white shirt with gray pants, which was comfortable for him, and chose to sit down on his sleeping bag. Not tired enough to sleep yet and watched the others about their business.

Some were trying to sleep, some were flexing and showing off while others watch, and then some were looking out the windows. Like those two Faunus, and though he could be social with his future classmates. Zargun chose to be silent, seeing this as a time to rest rather than talk. The trial starts tomorrow, and he does not want to be tired for it. This is his time, and Zargun wants to be prepared for it. So after a while and getting one last look out the window. Which he wished he had more time to watch the stars. Zargun slowly got into his sleeping bag and tried to sleep. Letting the background noise fade away until it was nothing but silence.
Zane Blacklight

Location: Infirmary - Camp Half-Blood
Interacting With: Vivian Diana Lucasta@metanoia, Kalinda Franklins@MarshiestMallow

"Yeah, Kalinda," Zane stopped mid-packing the pack and turned around. Back leaning against the table, "I am sure if it is nothing. But," his tone shifting to being serious. "If it is something important, then you have my word that I will take care of Vivian." Trying to reassure Kalinda, despite being wary about being called by Dionysus. If he, Vivian, and several others were called at once, it made him think what that could mean. Since there is already the situation with Erin and Zane would like things not to get worse. If they can somehow, which he does not want to think about. Also, seeing Kalinda mad at him is a minor motivation for keeping Vivian safe. He just saw how she felt about the gods and does not want that directed at him.

Still, if something else is up, he is not going to shy from it. The demi-gods need to support each other right now, seeing how one of them has been accused by a god for something she clearly did not do. That is the least they can do, and Zane may not be particularly close to Kalinda or Vivian but, he will still look out for them if needed. Zane did not train to be a better fighter to just for himself. He wants to protect people, more so if they are family. Which he is rather glad that none of his siblings were called up. They would be safe at camp, and he would not have to worry. That and he would rather watch only one person at a time if possible. Just easier for him that way.

Slapping the sides of the table with his hands as he stopped leaning against the table and look at Vivian. Not noticing how she was looking at him. "Now Vivian, we should get going. If I know Dionysus is that he does not late campers." Having said that, Zane gave a short wave goodbye to Kalinda and tried to give a reassuring look to Kalinda. "She will be safe, I promise," and then walked out of the infirmary towards the Big House. Though he would look behind to see if Vivian was following him.
Definitely interested
Cole Taalen

While the police and others were busy, Cole was leaning up against a wall. Out of the way of the cops and with his hands to his sides. Just watching the cops do their things and some of the other patients that were in the hallway. Not sure of what to do with himself with a tired expression on his face. To think that he almost late for this session. The cops probably would have beat him to the scene, and he would be very confused about who would even think to kill Doctor Stanton. Let alone leave him there in that position. God, why did they have to do that and take his frickin eyes out, Cole thought with distress. Like something out of a horror movie, and it did not sit right with him. Why position him like that and that message. What does all of the mean? But, what can he do? He is not a cop or a private investigator like Russell or Serena. He is just a bartender and finding out who did this and why is better suited to them and the cops.

Taking a deep breath to calm himself, he heard Mia talking and moved his eyes towards her. And he can see that her face reeks of sadness. That had not changed from when he told her of the news and that face of her when he told her. What was he supposed to say? How could he softly say that Stanton was dead and the display that was made with his body. Or better yet, just let her see the body firsthand, and Cole can just imagine how that would go. Still, Cole thought of saying something to her but thought against it. What could he say anyway that would make things better. They were all still at the crime scene, and maybe once they were away, then he could do something to cheer her up. But, then again, without Stanton, that means their therapy sessions are over, and they will get reassigned to someone else. So Cole might not see her again which he will miss her. Well, Cole will miss the familiarity of being with the group and having to restart with a new group.... he is not looking forward to that.

That was when Cole heard Mia talk about heading back to the station with Keandre. That is something he ought to do. Though Cole is not sure of how helpful talking to the cops, there will be. He got here after the others had already discovered the body. That and he had yet to actually go into the room where Stanton's body was. Just watching it from afar when he first walked in. However, Cole guesses that it might be better than doing nothing and going home to think about things. So as he was going to say, he was going with Mia and Keandre to the police station. Did Cole noticed the new arrival at the elevator, who looked homeless. Overhearing the man's request to speak to one of the patients. That is odd. What does a homeless man want with one of them? Cole wondered as he scanned the man. Does he know something but, if so, then why not tell the cops? Cole was hesitant to approach the homeless man, who seems insisted on talking to one of them. So he chose to see if anyone else would talk to the man before he would attempt to see what the homeless wanted to say to them.
Looks like I will not be able to join this, take care.
