To be fair, Power Rangers does have a long history of Civilian super-powers.

Andros in In Space had telekinesis.
In Time Force, Katie was super strong and Trip was a Psychic
The Dino Thunder Rangers all got super-powers from the Dino-Gems (Supersonic Shriek, Diamond Skin, Super Speed, Invisibility, etc.)
The SPD Rangers were all mutants with weird powers like Jack being Intangible, Z being able to multiply herself and Bridge could sense aura's.
The Mystic Force Rangers were all wizards and could do magic n shit.
In the Reimagining movie, the armour was just armour and they were all super-strong regardless.

So, yeah, Civilian Super Powers were pretty common. Especially during the Disney Era. Apparently, Disney wanted to push the civilian powers thing hard to try and cut down on the amount of Sentai footage and to replace potentially dangerous fight choreography with cheap CGI. Plus, Cheap CGI is harder for kids to hurt themselves trying to recreate, making the show more lawsuite friendly.

That is a point, and I do remember rangers having powers like in SPD. So yeah, I think I will be allowing people to have a power if they desire for their char.

Sure, though about the psychic power. Could you describe that? I was toying with the idea of letting people have abilities based on their species but, can I have some more detail with what you have in mind?

@Theyra A couple of idea's.

1) An older warrior, something along the lines of Loyax or Villamax from Lost Galaxy. The type who believes in honour among villains and has been jilted for the last time by backstabbing from within the Empire.
2) A Triforian who, 2 of his 3 selves got corrupted which made him join the evil side when he was re-merged. Now the one good part has escaped, with the other 2 parts remaining behind as the typical henchmen for the bad guy.
3) An angel from the realm of good magic, sent down to help these redeemable souls in their quest. (Seeing how the goddess of good magic is Rita Repulsa herself.)
4) A mentor type character who doesn't morph, but is here to provide the technical support and assistance from the background.

Any of these ideas can work though I like the 1 and 4 character ideas.

You had my interest at power rangers and in case you didn't know the artis who made the zords also posted a Megazord and a different, possibly older,version of the zords that shows them a bit better

Thanks, I did not see that when I was looking for custom zords that fit the colors of the rangers.

I tend to join Power Ranger RPs just to play a male Pink Ranger and say fuck you to gender norms.

I have no idea how I’m going to incorporate that into an alien character who doesn’t have human gender norms, but I’m thinking about trying to figure that out.

Well, the gender norms could be similar, or maybe your character's people had a preference for pink in their culture or were associated with good things, but after they were conquered by the Velcon Empire, this was forcefully changed, and pink lost its original value. So when your char defects to Earth and becomes a Power Ranger. Becoming the pink ranger was a symbol of defiance against the empire and wearing the color that was once considered good in your char's culture before the empire arrived.

Interested! Intending on making a tiger humanoid alien, who initially is all aggressive and arrogant, but then, after being on Earth and interacting with humans, learns that acting like "the ultimate warrior" will, surprise surprise, not ultimately help him with his own self doubt/insecurities and overall lack of an identity. Nowadays, despite his strong sense of justice and humor, he's still struggling with an identity crisis, but covers it up with being boisterous, encouraging of others(even tho he doesn't know how to be sometimes), and "cool".

Either gonna go Black or Blue for him(tho the leader in Red will likely have to be more levelheaded than him, in order to balance things out xD).

Power Rangers Rebel Force

The evil Velcon Empire, ruled by the evil Emperor Qyi, is a force that has conquered planet after planet with no end in sight. Now, after conquering the planet of Kial, the Velcon Empire has set its sights on Earth. Emperor Qyi sent a team to Earth to learn more about the planet before the proper invasion began after hearing the word of Earth's guardians, the Power Rangers.

But as the team settles in and learns more about Earth and the Power Rangers. That either already harboring treasonous thoughts or changed by Earth's people. This team has decided to defect from the Velcon Empire and join the Power Rangers in defending the planet. Using their knowledge of the empire to their advantage in the fight against the Velcon Empire.

Only the Power Rangers would mysteriously disappear, and in their place, the defectors would take their place as the new Power Rangers and defend the planet from their former allies while trying to discover what happened to the last Power Rangers. A task they must bear if they wish to defeat the Velcon Empire and stop their advance, and earn their place as defenders of Earth, their new home.

Hello and welcome to the rp. So that is the idea for the rp, playing as alien defectors that have taken up the mantle of being the Power Rangers after they go missing. Now I know this idea differs from other Power Rangers rps on this site that I have seen since you always play as humans from Earth. But, I was curious if people would be interested in a Power Rangers rp like this and so this is more of a gauge to see if the idea works.

If there is enough interest, then I will continue working on the idea and get an OOC up with more details. However, I will say that I am looking for a Co-Gm to help with things if any are interested, and I will answer any questions people have if they have any.

What I have so far is the colors for the rangers and how they look. Green, Red, Pink, Black, and Blue. Which are not gender exclusive and can be played by anyone. But I will reserve the Green Ranger for myself, and anyone can be the leader of the team if one desires. Now how the ranger look, Power Rangers, ignore the bottom three rangers and how the Zords look like is this, Zords and the Megazord.

As for the Velcon Empire, I will be lenient and will allow people to make up stuff for it as long as it does not contradict what I have for it. Which I admit is not much right now. Plus, allowing people to have the freedom to pick what their character looks like alien species wise along with a human appearance. As long as the alien appearance is humanoid in appearance.

That is it right now, and again, if anyone has any questions or interested in being a Co-Gm, then say something.

Realm Walkers: The Lost Expedition

Other worlds, other realities, science fiction or fantasy, some might say. As the only worlds, you can get to require spaceships, not portals or special rituals.

But, as one group has discovered, not only do other realities exist, but travel to them is possible, albeit through a special means. This newly created group calls itself the Realm Walkers. They have dedicated themselves to exploring and studying other realities.

While still a new and small organization, the group, initially comprised of twelve men and women, has recently boosted its numbers with a number of new recruits. The recruits come from various backgrounds but have potential and they have skills that can aid the Realm Walkers. They have been given the proper training and taught the basics of the Realm Walkers.

However, these new recruits will have a new mission that will test them. For the last expedition to a new reality, dubbed Clouded Grey for the moment based on initial observations, the Realm Walkers have lost contact with the expedition and are considered missing. The Realm Walkers founders being apart of the expedition. It now falls on these new recruits to track down the lost expedition, recover the missing Realm Wakers, and discover their fate.

Unaware of what truly lies in Clouded Grey, and whether they can find the lost expedition in time is up to them.

Hello and welcome to the rp. So, in this rp, you will be playing as members of the Realm Walkers a secret society that discovered how to travel to other realities and other worlds and are on a mission to find a lost expedition that included not just some of the new recruits but also the Realm Walkers' founders.

While there is some information about the reality/world, for the most part, the team will be going in knowing little about the Clouded Grey reality but will be armed with firearms, equipment, and their Resonance device, a device worn on a hand like a glove that contains a small green crystal and enables travel between realities.

Now, how the Resonance devices work is after attuning to a world crystal, which is a massive green glowing crystal with its name etched on its center. By using the Resonance device with the world crystals, making physical contact with a world crystal, and saying a certain phrase, one can travel to another reality. Finding a new reality is a challenging task, but once found, it is easy to travel between realities once discovered, but travel is only possible while in physical contact with a world crystal or at one of the possible smaller crystals that act as nodes on a world that can be encountered. Which have to be attuned to before they can be used.

The Resonance devices can also be used to track down other Resonance devices and will be the main way of tracking down the lost expedition.
