Background
Born on Dosh to a relatively large family before the start of the war, Zaall grew up on a planet where political debates were quickly becoming the norm. Almost everyone agreed that the Republic was corrupt, but no one could agree on what to do about it, or if anything could be done at all. It only escalated with the onset of the Naboo Crisis when Zaall was seven years old (human equivalent: 10-12), ending with the death of a Jedi, the appointment of Sheev Palpatine to Supreme Chancellor, and what was effectively a slap on the wrist for the Trade Federation. As tensions rose, people took sides as a new political movement began through the Republic; the idea to secede and start a new galactic power through what would become the Separatist Movement.
Dosh as a planet was caught between the secessionists and the loyalists, leading to heated debates and more than one street fight. Many left, including Zaall and his parents, though they kept in contact with his siblings who had carved out a life and decided to stay on Dosh. Tensions rose, coming to a crescendo with the Battle of Geonosis, when a group of secessionists that would later form the backbone of the CIS attempted to execute two jedi and a senator in front of the entire galaxy, only to be stopped with the unveiling of the jedi and their new clone army.
As the clone wars raged, Zaall found himself sick of it all. Sick of the rampant corruption in the Republic, but also sick of the senseless violence caused by the Separatists. His parents were Republic citizens, and so was he, but his siblings sided with the CIS, and would join a plot later in the war to capture a Republic Acclamater-Class assault ship named the Prosecutor, and would never be heard from again. His parents would go on to retire, having both accomplished their own personal hunts, and not wanting any part in what was happening to the Galaxy.
Zaall himself wouldn’t be untouched by the war, as a CIS invasion would hit his new home planet of Antamont, and refusing to let the droids march over his family, having heard too many horror stories of what the CIS did to civilian POWs, he took up a blaster and worked alongside other families to defend his new home. The battle of Antamont would last for mere months, but in that time Zaall would serve with valor and distinction, eventually being awarded a medal for valor by the planet’s senator.
Through it all, having grown up in a time of political strife, war, and constant brawls over who you supported, Zaall would want nothing more than for the whole mess to somehow… stop. It was childish to think the whole system could be fixed by one Trandoshan who was just tired of the noise, but he still decided to try, finding his ‘hunt’ in life to be one for change. Or, failing that, to help someone else who could. So, with his resume of having served in a militia force during the battle of Antamont, and being far from a persuasive politician, he did what he could, and went into private security.
Now, years later, Zaall has found himself climbing up to the personal bodyguard of a member of the galactic senate, and sees himself as closer to his goal than ever. However, he’s leery of the jedi’s sudden takeover of the senate, having seen their brand of ‘peacekeeping’ work across the galaxy throughout the war, having seen their handling of the Naboo crisis, and research into the numerous occasions where they tried to ‘help’. As far as he knows, they’re lying about the true identity of Sheev Palpaptine, and are acting to seize power while they can.
I think it works so far, though maybe up his age a bit since he did a bunch and is still that young.
"Do not mention it man," Kedem said almost as matter-of-factly as he looked at the dead cyborgs while Enzo spoke to them. Intently watching them to make sure they were dead, and when nothing moved or seemed to try to move. He relaxed, but only a bit. Three down, and who knows how many more to go. Which, at this point, Kedem wished they knew how many people worked at this place so they could guess how many of these cyborg zombies they were. But that is a hindsight thing, and chances are, there will be more.
"But do not thank me yet, we still have a mission to do, and there are bound to be more of them." Kedem now took the time to reload his rifle with a fresh magazine. Considering he spent most of it on the cyborgs.
With a new magazine, Kedem spoke to both Enzo and Fabio. "Just do your thing, and we will guard you." Saying it in an almost commanding way. A slight reminder when he was at Golem United and felt in charge of this small group. Still, he kept his eyes and rifle at the ready in case more company shows up.
outfit Once again, silence, and this time Leo's only sign for an answer was Baxter's repeated blinking. Which Leo did not know what that meant, but it seemed to be Baxter's answer. A silent one adding to the current silence, and Leo started to think that maybe this guy is not a workout person. Granted from he had seen today at the arena. Baxer would not be the only one and would fit in quite well.
Still, when Leo mentioned that training was not a football team thing, Baxter's smile returned. His vague smile, which Leo could only guess meant he felt better with that knowledge. Though he wondered how Baxter would fare at the obstacle course if River made him do it. Maybe not as bad as some ones that failed, but he knows nothing about Baxter other than his name and how he was late today for training. Not a good start, but at least he stuck around. Unlike some people, and now that he thought about it. That girl he met last night was not at training, nor was her name mentioned by River... Did she just leave? Leo would sigh at the thought and shake his head to get the thought out.
But, back to talking with Baxter. When he spoke about going to the arena to explain himself. Leo spoke, "yeah that sounds like a good plan." Maybe River would go easy on him, or not. Leo does not have a good sense of River, but since he lets the ones who failed an option just do pushups and not run the course again. Maybe he will let Baxter off nicely, but it could go either way.
Silence returned, and Leo felt a bit awkward this time since it kept happening. But as he was going to break the silence and speak. Baxter beat him to it. "See you later then." Leo said, friendly as he watched Baxter stagger off to the arena.
Leo was tempted to make sure Baxter did not fail on the way there, but after seeing how Baxter seemed to keep his balance somehow. He elected to let the man go. Is he always like that? Leo thought as he gazed at Baxter for a time before turning around and heading back to his cabin. Maybe it has something to do with his godly parent, and maybe he can get it out of him another day. Another thought as he walked casually to his cabin.
But time for a shower and to get some food later. Hopefully, it is good, and maybe the main hall will not be crowded when he arrives there. A final thought, as Leo made it to his cabin and headed to the shower after taking off his winter clothes. Maybe living here will not be so bad, at least his cabin is comfortable. Maybe he can live here, and he just has to wait and see. Interact - Baxter | Mentions - River

Background
Thodon has had a mixed life since leaving his homeworld of Arkania. Maybe even had a better life before the Arkanian Revolution, but it was not to be. He was only four when the civil war took place, and his parents were on the side of the Arkanian Renegades. Only in fear for his safety did his parents send him away with a family friend, an Arkanian trader named Elnok, to the world of Uviuy Exen during the revolution. He would learn after its conclusion that the renegades lost with the help of the Jedi, and his parents, with the rest of the renegades, were executed by the Arkanian Dominion. Thodon would be depressed over the loss of his parents, and Elnok would try and fail to cheer him up.
Now an orphan but later adopted by Elnok, for several years, Thodon would stay with Elnok and accompany him on his travels until one day when pirates attacked their ship, and they were forced to crash land on Argai Minor. Thodon was the sole survivor and was barely injured, missing his right forearm and crushed lower legs, and by luck or fate, a Jedi who was leaving Argai Minor at the time saw the ship crash towards the surface and went to check for survivors. There, she found Thodon, who once told him she was a Jedi. Thodon was hostile at first, but his wounds prevented him from continuing, and he would pass out due to blood loss.
The next thing he knew, Thodon ended up at a hospital and with a new cybernetic forearm and cybernetic lower legs. There waiting for them was the Jedi, a female Cathar by the name of Jyruni Nhuk. She told him what happened after he passed out and asked why he was hostile towards her. Thodon only replied that the Jedi killed his parents, and for a moment, there was silence for a long time before his curiosity got the better of him. Why are you still here? He asked, to which Jyruni replied. To make sure that you are okay and that she will be staying nearby to check up on him. Though she had to admit there was another reason, she could sense that he was force-sensitive and thought about bringing him back to the Jedi Temple to train him in the ways of the Jedi. To which he said he will never be a Jedi, and the room filled with silence again.
This repeated over the days as he recovered, and Jyruni would visit him until one day, Thodon asked why she is still here despite not wanting to be a Jedi. To which she said, to make sure that he was recovering well and that despite wanting for him to come back with her to Coruscant. She did not want to force it and wanted him to come willingly. As there would be no point in training someone who did not want to be a Jedi. Thodon was complexed by this and, after some thought, asked what it means to be a Jedi. Jyruni would reply to be a peacekeeper and defend the defenseless against those who sought to abuse them or worse. He said that does not sound like the Jedi who killed his parents. and after a very long talk. Jyruni managed to convince him to try being a Jedi, and if things do not turn out, then she will find a way for him to leave. She promised him this. Thodon, after a long silence, accepted Jyruni's offer and traveled to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant and trained to be a Jedi.
At first, he was shy and nervous about his new life, but as time passed, He adjusted and would later do well, though the memory of his parents' deaths would weigh on his mind. Meanwhile, Jyruni watched his progress from afar, and when he became a padawan, he trained under a master. Thodon was surprised that Jyruni would pick him as her padawan and later when they were alone. She asked if he wanted to stay with the Jedi. Thodon said he was unsure and needed more time to think about it. So the two would travel the galaxy, doing missions, and as he grew to know her. He realized that she was an unorthodox Jedi due to her past as a Jedi Watchman and her own personal views. She secretly allowed herself to form attachments and had skills outside of a normal Jedi's skillset. This, however, did not trouble him, and he would develop the same views, and he kept it a secret.
Before he was promoted to a Jedi Knight, Jyruni asked him one last time if he wanted to be a Jedi. Thodon replied that he was sure he could be one, especially with Jyruni's help what his parents' role in the Arkanian Revolution. While he still agrees with his parents' reason for joining the Arkanian Renegades, the atrocities they committed with the Arkanian Renegades left a sour taste in his mouth. So his answer to Jyruni's question was yes, he wanted to be a Jedi and Jyruni had a warm smile on her face. He was soon promoted to Jedi Knight and became a Jedi Watchman like his master. He was assigned to Balmorra and would hold the position of Jedi Watchman until during the Clone Wars when Balmorra joined the Separatists. He was lucky when a friend informed him of Balmorra's defection and he was able to get off-world before the local security force could grab him.
Now being tasked by the Jedi Council as a Jedi General. Thodon did not like the idea of clone soldiers, not that he thought they were inferior or anything, but that they were soldiers by force and not choice. So, he cared for the clones under his command and would go on several campaigns during the three years of the war. Not only was he made a Jedi Master, but he was also recalled to Coruscant and was in the Jedi Temple when Mace killed Palpatine and enacted his plan to take over the Senate. Thodon was wary of the Jedi Council taking over the Senate, and he shared Yoda's thoughts about it.
Now, it has been three months, and there is still no new Supreme Chancellor. Thodon is not sure when the Jedi Council will concede their hold over the Republic and has grown wary. Not wanting the Jedi to lose themselves during this time, Thodon has been talking with similarly minded Jedi and has thrown his lot with the Jedi who opposed the Jedi Council's control over the Senate. He does not know where this path will lead, but one he must follow, and he hopes that, in the end, the Jedi Council will release its control over the Senate before it is too late.
The rp is still open and will stay open. As for someone playing a Gen'dai character. I have to say no to that, but I understand where you are coming from with playing a species that is not used much. Which I encourage but, just not a Gen'dai character.
